So Floofy.
-
I can't draw ponies well at all. I have three pages of horrific attempts so I gave up and found myself working on Maenad's face as a human since its simple.
I'll fix the arm in the near future so if it's much better I'll just try to replace this file with it, but I'm not particularly motivated.I see! You can always use a reference of a horse's body, or a reference of an MLP-style body.
Print some paper for some references, or draw some of your work with your computer displaying some reference. That's my suggestion.
-
You can always adjust arm length by erasing a part of it! What gave you the idea to humanize your OC anyway?
-
Nice!
-
I love rollercoasters! I just don't ride too many that may cause spine problems.
-
It's been a long time since I've seen another drawing of this guy!
-
If that's rusty, I'd say you're still good.
-
Pfft!
Their relationship is overrated, but I'm liking it anyway! =D
-
Nice work, Zeig!
Your OC looks smashing, FireFoxx!
-
The hind legs are shaped like lightning bolts.
Cool.
-
Hey, where did you get that body from-- Wait, no, that's a stupid question.
You got it from your daddy.
-
Yup, that's the sort of look I was going for - a hungry animal that only operates on instinct, with hers specifically being greed for more stuff. Probably greed for more pony friends, lulz.
And no, the point is that some eastern dragons are depicted with more mammalian features, i.e. the nose and snout, fur around their faces and heads, the same way they have long and sinuous bodies instead of large bodies with wings like western dragons. If the RP forums weren't essentially frozen in time, this is pretty much what Yuri would grow up to look like, except with softer, more feminine features. That's what her dragon species looks like. It may not fit a conventional dragon look that people are used to, but Yuri's not a conventional dragon. The look perfectly fits Yuri's softer, more expressive, and puppy-like nature.
(And I actually used Haku from Spirited Away as a reference, not wolves from Princess Mononoke).
I see! Good to know.
-
This is really good!
Can she finish this, or did you both agree on only making it a clean sketch?
She seems like a busy person, though...
-
Yuri looks like a hungry wolf! Like you said, Miyazaki's work, like the wolves from Princess Mononoke.
Is that the point, a hungry wolf's expression as her maturity to greed? It is interesting, but a bit off-set for a dragon.
-
It's a good thing she's not excitable and easily impressed... That would have been a bit boring, actually. (I've seen enough anime and stories to notice how dull having multiple, similar, easily impressed characters can be like.)
Good on you for reconsidering her personality and flaws!

Is this semi-anthropomorphism?
It is a bit interesting.
-
Well he's not being considered anymore, he's been accepted. Huzzah!
Huzzah! Congratulations, Zeig!
-
What? Don't listen to other people - this species is still being considered for WoE, it hasn't been tossed out yet.
Really? That's good!
At least it's being considered.
-
Too bad about this OC not being able to be accepted... he's pretty cool, Zeig!
-
Nice speed paint, Zeig!
-
Ah, you got a better size for it now. It still looks good!
-
Whoa, I missed this. This is nice!
-
Interesting progress...

Rainbow Dash is inspired by the character and Twilight is in love with the character.
It's all in the twinkle of the eyes!
