1. So far, no official word on episode titles has been revealed. A couple have listed a title for episode 19, "Putting Your Hoof Down." It's suspected that it was a fake title, but a realistic one even at that. I was wondering, what other possible title names can we see? Usually a MLPFiM episode title will be a play on words from a saying, something in pop culture, or even reference to other shows and movies. Sometimes, they almost imply the mane character they represent as well. Let's see how creative we can get. Let's make a list of mock episode titles. "Beard the Dragon" "Going the Extra Hoof" "Never Say Pie" "Saddle Your Own Canoe" "The Grass is Always Tastier" "Hay it, Don't Spray It"
2. You have no idea how much of a land slide vote that would be in your favor. If you get on, just let us know, and ED.com will do the rest, lol.
3. What I'm now understanding is that some people are voting according to their nostalgia. This is fine, but if I we're to vote for nastalgic feelings, I would have voted for Winter Wrap Up as well. It just "takes me back" to the time I first watched ponies. I had watched the ponies in order from the pilot, and that episode had me hooked on ponies forever. I voted for At the Gala, simply because I feel the song was ingeniously put together and has it's own catchiness, once it grows on you. I also just realized I forgot "Hush Now, Quiet Now," which is a pretty good song. So I edited the poll. I took out Pinkie's Gala song that had no votes and replaced it with "Hush Now, Quiet Now." ...I know, I'm surprised it let me change it too. I wonder if it would let me change options that have been voted for... In any event, I've allowed you to change your mind if you so choose.
4. So far, out of 22 votes, only 1 has gone fro "At the Gala," and it was by me. LOL I'm actually quite surprised at this. It really is an amazing song.
5. Arrow waited for some kind of humiliated response from the newly introduced filly. At this moment, Arrow was guilty of setting up a verbal conflict. Fortunately for the time being, Golden Delicious didn't seem phased by her remark. But then in Arrow's amazement, she returned an adorable smile and replied with a half-hearted compliment about her hat, giving gesture to the fact that it was worn so erroneously. Arrow jumped to conclusions in thought. How dare she poke fun at me like that. She was about ready to burst and lash out negative comments with no regard of feelings towards the little filly. Arrow wasn't always a bully to others younger than her nor was she somepony who lacked the ability to meet new ponies. There was just something about Golden that twisted Arrow's tail in a direction she did not much like. She leaned forward in an attempt to interject a verbal lashing. But before she could, the law himself intervened into the situation. Arrow was very surprised that Jonagold told the first lie of the day. Usually on these adventures, Arrow would be the one using her tongue as a manipulative diving board. She wasn't mad though, as it kept the magnifying glass off herself. The last thing she needed was an older pony, especially the Sheriff, weeding out her lies and confronting her, asking for the facts of her day. And it certainly wouldn't have been the first time the Sheriff dealt with Arrow's rowdy personality. Just then, Arrow realized her situation. According to the older ponies at the Salt Block, Miss Arrow Plain was sent home on the account of her trying to sneak into the bar and use the house piano as a launchpad for her first flying trick. What if the bartender had told the Sheriff? What if he knows I'm not supposed to be out here? Arpy considered the choices. She thought about running. She thought about begging for mercy. Heck, she even thought about flying away as a possibility. But since none of those options seemed feasible at this current juncture with her friends and acquaintances all together she decided to do it the way she usually does it, play it cool. Arrow removed her hat. "Howdy, Sheriff!" Arrow refused eye contact but addressed him positively. "Yup, we're just buildin' a kite to see how high we can fly." Arrow knowingly paused. "IT. How high we can fly IT." Arrow grinned playfully, trying to bluff away the detection of their mischief.
6. I know I may have made up some of the titles to the songs, that's just my two cents. I also know that 7 of these 10 songs wont even be close to being the best song. But I thought I'd list them anyways so that people could vote for their favorite, even if it's obscure. Also, I didn't want to allow people to vote for 2 or 3, because they would probably pick the same songs. Let's see which song is truly the best song. It's really between "Suited For Success," "Winter Wrap Up," and "At the Gala."
7. I just want to express how excited I am to see that the general RP activity in the heat of the summer has been hot, no pun intended. Well, maybe it was intended, but I just think it's great to see so much enthusiasm on the forum RP threads and such and I wanted to share my thoughts and reflections about the community. Of course there are inactive threads here and there, it's important to always look up for more creative ideas. I'd like to personally encourage people to be constantly talking about new RP ideas. Talking about future RP threads is one of the most successful ways to get a RP rollin'. So don't be bashful!
8. I was a little split between Look Before You Sleep and Dragonshy. Dragonshy is obviously an easy choice for quality episodes. But LBYS has some great Rarity vs. Applejack dialog that can't be overlooked. I ended up giving LBYS a vote, tis a shame its probably not going to make it. It wouldnt have survived to the final anyways.

11. http://soundcloud.com/riverhippo/mlpfim-country-theme-reprise Name: Applejack Sex: Female Age: Mare Species: Earth Pony Pelt Color: Sweet Apple Orange Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Mane and tail worn mostly straight and natural with the ends tied. Golden blonde colored hair, but I ain't a dunce. I also wear a stetson hat, I never leave home without it. Eye Color: Granny Smith green. Cutie Mark: Three plump red delicious apples plucked right off their trees. Physique: Average sized, but stronger than most ponies. Why, if I didn't know no better, I'd say I'm the top athlete in all of Equestria. Origin: Born and raised on the farm with my big brother Big Macintosh and my Granny Smith. When I was just a little filly, I decided to try my luck finding a living in Manehatten, a bigger apple than the muddy ol' farm I grew up in. But as I soon realized, life in a big city like Manehatten was too sophisticated for my apples and I began feeling more homesick than a golden delicious fallen from its branch in a dark and windy storm. Then one morning, I saw a rainbow pointing back at home to Sweet Apple Acres, and it was then that I knew exactly where I was supposed to be. I came running home that day to be reunited with the family I grew up with and the apple trees. It was then that my cutie mark appeared, and I've been running the farm ever since, drummin' up business for the family. Roleplay Type: Shoot, Mane RP I reckon. Occupation: Sales and Operations Manager at Sweet Apple Acres. We sell anything apples from fritters to pies. Me and my brother do most of the work, but occasionally we do need help. Sometimes, I can be a might stubborn about it, too. I'm also a plant team leader for the yearly Winter Wrap Up in the Spring, four years runnin'. I'm in charge of plowing snow off the farmlands, sowing new seeds for the year's crops, and making sure that it's done quickly enough so that the plants can grow large enough by season's end. Motivation: I love apples. As a youngin', I got pretty sick and tired of 'em. But I was only a runt then. When I realized what my life was to be, it was only then that I understood my highly-tuned knack for high quality apples that make even the most dormant taste buds sing. Every day, I'm looking for different ways to serve apples as a way of sharing the joy of Equestria's most popular fruit, and raise enough money to maintain the farm. A few upgrades to the land would be just swell! Likes: Apples, my appletastic treats, rodeos, competitions as a chance to display my athleticism, my kin, my best friends, and gettin' dirty without concernin myself with the little things. Dislikes: Persnickety attitudes, cheaters like that Rainb-, uh, and ponies that make fun of my lifestyle. Character Summary: About me, huh? Hmmm... Well, while my ego is put to the side, lemme talk about the things I may not be so good at. I can be a might stubborn at times about almost anything, but every dog should have a few fleas. And even on my sunniest days, I tend to have the habit of carelessness and go whole hog when I should probably analyze the details. I can sometimes get others' feathers ruffled when I act like that, even though they themselves should probably not be so concerned with the littlest of things. I look at the big picture. For instance, last applebuck season, I was determined to finish applebucking all of the trees all by myself since Big Macintosh hurt himself. I bit off more than I could chew, but I was determined to get it all done on my own just so I could prove to myself and everypony that I didn't need their help. But after a few chaotic episodes across Ponyville that were caused by my over-worked personality, I finally gave in to Twilight's plea to help me with my task. With the help of my closest friends, applebuck season was finished within two shakes of a pony tail. I couldn't have done it without them. When my friend Twilight Sparkle came to Ponyville from Canterlot, I found out that Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and I as friends together represent the elements of friendship. Me specifically, represented honesty when I told Twilight to trust that she wouldn't fall to her death. And... ...gee, if I was humble as a bee, I'd even say I am honest with all of my relationships. I am the loyalist of friends and the most dependable of ponies. Som'n' that we hold dear at Sweet Apple Acres is our honest Apple family ways. We believe in helpin' each other, whether they're are kin or not. Helping other ponies with their needs is what we love doin'. The Apple family tree is full of ponies that live all over Equestria that love to show their neighbors the sweet comforts of Apple hospitality. Why, there's Big Macintosh, Fiji, Red Gala, Granny Smith, Braeburn, Apple Cinnamon Crisp, Caramel Apple, Applesauce, Apple Chips, Apple Tart, Apple Bloom, Baked Apple, Red Delicious, Apple Fritter, Golden Delicious, Apple Strudel, Apple Brioche, Apple Pie, Apple Bumpkin, and many more! My lil' sis Apple Bloom can be a hooffull, sometimes. She and her friends are always cuttin' up look for trouble. They call it "crusading," I calls it trouble. I keep telling her that she'll get her cutie mark eventually, but she seems to think she needs to get it now. Unfortunately, for her, getting your cutie mark late seems to run in the family. My big brother Big Macintosh and I got our cutie marks late as well. But it wasn't a hog-sized surprise to find out that we have a knack for Applebuckin'. My big brother always looked out for me when I was little. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be as strong as I am now. Now, even when Big Mac is gone, I can usually handle my own doing most tasks on the farm by myself. Winona is the farm dog, a border collie to be exact. She's a heap o' help when I need to coral critters into their pens. She's very well trained, and would never hurt anypony. We've raised her since she was a lil' pup. I spend a lot of time in the orchards takin' care of the thousands of apple trees that are out there. There are a lot of 'em, but I do have my favorites. Like, Redbranch, Greenie, Deciduousam, and of course Bloomberg, who was actually donated to my cousin Braeburn's orchard in Appleloosa. I sure do miss Bloomberg, he was one of the finest trees in Ponyville when he was here. My friends all think I'm a silly pony. Twilight Sparkle has told me that I am very superstitious. She told me that I overreact when strange things happen. She even said I was shaking in my boots when Zecora came to town. I really don't know what she's barkin' about, me being 'scared' and all. I was thinkin' 'bout the safety of my little sis' Apple Bloom is all. All I do is trust my gut instincts, and trust that if Pinkie's tail's a'twitchin', you better listen. Now I need to pucker down and finish this census thingy before I get too carried away and miss the day's end. I have several arrangements I need to attend to. I'm a busy as a stump-tailed cow in fly time, and those apples wont buck themselves. If you'd like, we love to have ponyfolk visit our farm every time and again. Come on over anytime and try our apple brown betty. Heh, the desert, not my auntie. See ya'll later!! http://soundcloud.com/riverhippo/country-character-theme
12. These are looking pretty nice! Are you going to shrink them down or is this the actual size? Because they seem a little big compared to the others you posted. Not complaining, just wondering. I intended for them to be a little larger, because if I can successfully make them transparent and maybe even finished the cropped edges of running Lyra, it would look better in the end, and still not crown the page, IMO. In any event, one can always shrink them down if they feel it's appropriate. Let me fiddle around a little more with Lyra and see if I can compromise to a safe size vs. style. The biggest challenge for Lyra is keeping her size manageable while keeping her noticeable. Her color scheme is actually quite annoying to deal with, lol.
13. I think all you have to do is erase the background (So there's a gray and white checkered background instead of the color) and save the image as a PNG file. What program though. I have GIMPshop, which is GIMP modified to act more like PhotoShop. I know you can't make transparencies in MSPaint (or can you?). I'm just not sure how to fill the transparency option.
14. and my new pup: If you've noticed, I definately like to keep to a similar format for each character. I also like to use different formats when creating banners for other users. If you have an idea that you'd like executed, i can certainly try. I like to make it user-special for the purpose of individuality, which is a forum MUST!
15. Lyra banner test 2 and centered: Seems to work... I made separate backgrounds depending on the post color, since they alternate between light blues. I don't know how to make a picture with built-in transparency. If anypony knows how to do it, please share!
16. Madden's ears were flooded by the amazed and shocked response he expected to receive from both Starlight and Zephyr. Madden closed his eyes, smiled, and turned to his side as they expressed their humbleness. He then understood Starlight's concern for the details. He saw her sit down at his table in all of her seriousness. "Listen, now..." Madden tried to explain the details before Zephyr butted in with his supportive comments. When they were both done talking excitedly, Madden knew that they had no idea what they were doing and decided to try to keep it as simple as he could so that they could understand. "Look, ponies, everything will be fine. We can sort all of the details at the event. Just make sure you're not late." Madden reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out 3 bit coins and slapped in onto the table he was sitting at. He then picked himself off the ground and hovered just above the others. "It'll be fine, Starlight. I'll see you at the South Auditorium at five." Madden was about take off, but then stopped himself. "Oh, and for the record, I hate jazz." Madden flew off into a random direction.
17. Name: Remington Sex: Male Age: Colt (Kid) Species: Pegasus Pelt colour: Medium Dark Red Mane/Tail/Markings colour & Style: True Blue, both mane and tail spikey combed. Eye colour: None/Black (In-distinguished, like Snips and Snails) Cutie Mark: None yet. Physique: Average adolescent size. Origin: Was born and is raised in Cloudsdale. Now lives in Manehatten. Roleplay Type: Mane Occupation: Student Motivation: Rem is still figuring out what his special talents are. He loves to sleep and he is fascinated with the natural phenomenon known as dreaming. He's experimenting with ways to manipulate his dreams, and has even began studying about astral projection. Likes: Being lazy, nap time, dreaming, day dreaming, dreaming during the day, cuddling Character Summary: Remington was sleeping when he was born. It scared his parents and the doctors helping with the delivery, fearing that he may not be breathing. But after a few tests, it was determined he was fine an normal. However, it was not normal, for Remington had a very heavy sleep schedule, even for a newborn. His parents were thankful that he was so quiet and sleepy all the time, but they were discouraged when they realized his lack of energy. At times, they even forgot him when they left for engagements. When Remington was old enough to go to school, it was insanely hard for him to get the proper sleep schedule so that he could be awake during class hours. They even gave him a watch that is strapped to his leg at all times so that he can know what time it is when he wakes up. The teachers would constantly slap his desk and calling him out when he began his silent snore that made the rest of the class giggle. At recess, he is usually found napping under a tree. He has friends however, who support him when others make fun of him. After all, Remington is a very gentle colt who has tons of respect for other ponies and is always well mannered and tempered. He smiles most of the time. Remington's flaw starts with his sleeping habits. He has the unfortunate routine of sleeping without any sort of schedule. His body clock and central sense of time are not very prevalent in his life. Because of this, even his best days are riddled with moments of spontaneous narcolepsy. He constantly falls asleep in the middle of important conversations and dozes off when participating in group games at school. He is still too weak to fly on his own, but everypony that knows him think it's for the best. They fear the day that he learns to fly, for he might fall asleep while doing that too. Today, Remington is in search of his talents, just like everypony else his age. He is taking his time though, and is convinced he will find his talents in his dreams, quite literally. UPDATE: (12/12/12) Remington's family has moved to Manehatten. There, Remington will find a new wave of friends and foes as he continues looking for his cutie mark. In between random naps, of course.

19. Arrow giggled at Nova's statements. Her giggle was very odd and she tried to hide it. Nova reminded her of the easiest thing to do when being frustrated in one's own inability - make fun of other ponies. Arrow thought real hard for a moment what it would be like performing Nova's suggestions in the most satisfying way. But then, a new filly walked up to the trio. A gold-colored filly who seemed to spark Jonagold's interest in a way that can't easily be explained. Nova greeted her and introduced herself, Arpy, and Jona. Arrow noticed right away that the new filly she had never seen was a blank flank. Arrow grinned at this knowledge. Arrow found pleasure in other people's misfortune, probably because she had so much misfortune herself. It wasn't healthy, but Arrow couldn't steer herself away from thoughts of picking on the new pony. "Howdy, Blanks!"
20. Madden was disappointed that Zephyr had only been Starlight's manager for less than a day and that he admitted he didn't even know what a manager did. However, all of the discouraging inexperience was balanced by Starlight's talents as she sung her beautiful song at the cafe. The entire cafe was glittered with ponies tranced by Starlight's melody. Not only could Madden hear how well she could sing, but he could also see the affect she had on other ponies. No one seemed to care that Madden was even there anymore. "Ok. Ok. I tell ya what. I've been needing somepony to fill a spot this evening at 5 P.M. at the Cloudsdale Auditorium's South Stage. They need a singer to sing a song for about 5 minutes. If you can perform at this event and show me that you can perform under pressure, I will open doors for you." Madden made several dramatic gestures as he spoke to try and amplify his statements. If these gestures worked at events that he announced at, then they must work in in person, right? Madden turned to Zephyr who was half hidden under the table. "And you, my friend. If Miss Starlight here is able to do what we all think she can do, they I'll teach you a little about managing. How's that sound?" One of Madden's drives was helping younger ponies fill their aspirations. Although, usually, it was more for athletic reasons and Madden didn't know anything the music industry, he could still use his showmanship experience to teach them perceptions.
21. I love that it was and is a concern. May I make a suggestion of changing the forum name? Perhaps "Crossover" is too inviting of misfit categories. I feel that the best interested RP that exist in the thread can be considered "Modified Canon". I can't really imagine what other names you could call it, but it's just a suggestion.
22. I like the notion of not having to have a OC approved for Mane RP in order to post in the cross-over forum. The only thing that worries me is the content in the Crossovers as it relates to the other RP sections. Maybe this is just me, but I would hate to think that the lack of 'approval' for characters in the Crossover threads and the 'anything goes' mentality doesn't spin out of control and cause the Crossover forum to become a less professional forum. The crossover forum should be used to encourage RP newbies to the RP culture, since we value quality posts in the Mane RP. But it would be unfortunate if the Crossover threads became less of a great opportunity to let one's imagination run around and more of a connotation that a Crossover RP is 'not as good' as a Mane RP. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't want the Crossover forum to become a "trash forum" where all the rejected RP stories go. I'm probably alone on this thought, but I thought I share the comment.
23. I am extended a hoof and am doing banners for RP characters. Here are my personal examples: If you would like one made for your character(s), I can help you! I can also make animated ones, but I highly recommend not using animated banners as they will only distract reading the posts, since RP is heavy reading for the most part. A banner allows to set the mood, or to reintroduce a character. Lots of people have their characters in their avatar, but not everypony does. This can sometimes derail slightly when a friendly timid pony's personality is written up next to a avatar that promotes some other kind of emotion. The banners I would make are pretty small, only 300 X 100, however, I'm willing to create other sizes as long as they are not too big. They just need to be big enough to get the job done and provide a little visual aide to get the RP story rolling. Any special designs or ideas are welcome for discussion. This is an open thread.
24. As Madden carefully studied the size of the text in the sandwich section of the menu, the pony that had walked up to his table had the audacity to pull down the menu and look him square in the eye. Madden hadn't often seen a pony which this much boldness. He was already fairly impressed by that alone. However, He was not about to give a free autograph out just because she had spunk. "Excuse me. You are Madden right? My name is Starlight Melody." Madden loosened his jaw when she spoke. Her voice was pleasant and her facial expressions were warm and light-hearted. "I have a few questions for you... along with my friend here... Zephyr. You see... I'm trying to get my music career off the ground and we both could use some pointers. Zephyr as my official manager and myself as the singer." Madden noticed the following pony behind her. He didn't really look like a manager and he was wondering to himself if this was some kind of prank his radio station colleagues were playing on him; they did that a lot. Madden smirked and raised his right eyebrow. "Oh really? You are," Madden pointed at her in question, "a singer?" Madden chuckled a little. He was about to add to his question when the dark green 'manager' stepped up in front of Starlight to make a point. "Not just any singer. She's the greatest singer in Cloudsdale, no uh... in Equestria!" Zephyr seemed to know what he was talking about. His voice was received with confidence, but the details he spent almost sounded like he had just met the mare. Madden smirked even more at the ponies exaggeration. He attempted to respond. "Oh really? Well..." "If you could have heard her earlier in the halls, you would know that she sings as beautifully as she looks!" Madden's smirk fell to a realization. He jumped up and shouted, "This is the pony that sung in the Racing Hall of Fame earlier!?" Madden looked around at everypony starring, again. Madden calmed down and played it cool. He sat back down on his rump and crossed his right hind leg over his left to promote a considering thought. "I mean, yeah I heard her earlier, she was pretty good, I guess." Madden was excited to not only meet the pony that sung beautifully in the halls, but also that they miraculously came to him. He knew that she could save his butt in finding a singer for the event, but he wasn't going to just give it to her. He had to be sure that she was ready for the performance, and that more importantly, his casual-looking manager had the behind-the-scenes know-how to get her to perform at the top of her ability. Madden turned at Zephyr who was now perspiring slightly. "How many gigs have you gotten her?"
