  1. In the sub-famous words of Spike, "I wouldn't hold your breathe."
  2. Well Rarity was a sort-of Flutter Pony, and we all know how that turned out.
  3. It's from the 1986 movie, and the Pony's name is Baby Lickety Split. Her performance ends up getting worse feedback than Pinkie Pie's. She even gets totally bashed before she breaks out in song about leaving home. It's all pretty tragic in it's own way...
  4. I watched the old My Little Pony Movie and saw this similarity: What other similarities between old and new ponies have you seen?
  5. I think the fact that it's a girl's show is what makes it so much more appealing. If Friendship is Magic premiered on MTV, towards it's future fanponies, I don't think it would have been as popular. In order for this show to be what it is, it had to start a few doors down from where we thought we would be, so that it could crash through concrete walls to display its awesomeness. Not many people liked this show because they anticipated it. It's like going to a movie that you had no idea what it was about, only to find out it had a great charm to it, that couldn't possible be justified in a 30 second trailer to get your attention. You have to see it, to see it.
  6. I doubt anything special will happen. I think we're going to have a Pinkie Pie episode that deals with misunderstanding and a mane 6 episode in which a trip to the GGG ends up being something they didn't expect, learning a lesson on expectations. I don't think there's much to fit in except a little more detailed look at the city of Canterlot. Season 2 would have a lot more 'special' things in it, methinks, since Faust and Co. have properly gauged the brony fanbase.
  7. wow, that thread is over 4 and half years old, long before friendship was magic.
  8. Oh, man. What I wouldn't give to have a juicy story like that in a little girl's show....
  9. but nor will they have babysitters... But they all have parents. Supposedly. Hopefully. I'm willing to entertain myself to think that Scootaloo is an orphan. It would help explain her 'out-of-the-box personality. Kind of like Gosalyn from Darkwing Duck. hjSR0Tvta8A
  10. I thought of that before the episode even aired. In fact, I was a little disappointed that the Spike vs. Owl feud was more one-sided than expected. Mr. Owl in this episode didn't seem to have any current proof of malicious nature, but I think he should. Why do you think owl's are associated with spookiness? And apparently, they can be a little trollish themselves. Jhjb4P_jnKk
  11. I think a episode to cap off the CMC is possible, but I don't think it would be during the season 1 finale. The Gala episode is looking to be a mane 6 episode. The foals don't have tickets ya know
  12. yeah, thats also un-editted. Tears of joy... ^_^ ...or is it? -_-
  13. According to this uneditted screenshot, even Celstia was surprised when Luna decided to apologize. -_- Perhaps Celestia's 'trolling' is due the fact that she didn't expect to have a little sister to pick on during the next season of friendship.
  14. Y'know, the first one is worse than the second one to me, not sure why. I think it's just that Luna's so happy up until that point, and it just seems like a really low blow. The second one is completely different to me. WOW. I would have to strongly disagree. But the actual emotional attachment one puts into a comic strip probably varies from person to person. Remember folks, it's just a cartoon, and a fan version at that!

    Gaming

OMG. Brony gaming prorgrammers FTW!!! This is the by far the best yet.
  16. I dont really have anything against Luna. And it me, it's not the seeing her cry that really makes me laugh. The odd humor involved for me comes from the strange nature that Celestia (or anypony) would hate on Luna. Sometimes seeing someone's lack of tolerance of others is a ridiculous caricature that tickles the bones of our beings. Like every once and a while, I'll meet somepony who is truly and openly racist, and I just think Really? I thought we were done with that kind of stuff...
  17. I dont think this is really considered an error, but I'm confused as to why it even occurs. This is a screenshot from my computer. On the left is a mkv file of Dog and Pony Show, the 720 version you get when you download off itunes. The itunes files are great because they are great resolution have contain no annoying tv bannes and graphics like the TV rating system and the Hub icon. On the right, is the version you can find online in 1080. I looked at MASTERLINX version and it looks the same as this one. For whatever reason, the itunes version leaves out Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy in this shot, as well as the following shot when Spike is yellow "NO!" up the hole. Can anyone tell me why this would even occur?
  18. so if we are to believe Scootaloo's cutie mark is a butterfly, what in the hay is that supposed to mean? It doesn't seem to meet her personality or interests at all. Also, I never watched past generations of MLP cartoons. Is Scootaloo's personality any similar to these other versions of her we are talking about?
  19. About the moon... If we are to assume that the moon is always opposite the sun, than the moon would always be at a full state. We've seen cresents, though. Could there be a scientific explanation of the temporary darkness during the thousandth year of the summer sun celebration (summer solstice)? Maybe once every a thousand years, Ponya's moon, which is slightly bigger in appearance from Ponya as the sun, eclipses the Sun at this time. Maybe Ponya's sun is one of the stars that aided Nightmare Moon's escape.
  20. This scene from Toy Story is a pretty good reenactment of a conversation I have with my friends about ponies. Perhaps I just don't have the charisma, lol. D5m33zK6ZlA Fluttershy: "It's so... ...cute." Rainbow Dash: "Well it is Tim Allen."
  21. Silly... Who the hell does Twlight think she is? Fluttershy???
  22. hubworld has a small collection of interactive games designed for kids to enjoy their favorite cartoon. Some of you have had the guilty pleasure of playing a few of these. However, I came across this one from a background link, and I hadn't seen it before since. The game is a "spot the difference game between two pictures of what is supposed to be the same image, and you have to find the differences. Great thing about this game, is that it contains a little bit of spoiler footage of episodes we have yet to see! Every 'level' is a scene and a lesson learned from each episode. An image from "Party of One" and "Best Night Ever" is interactive with this game too, and upon finishing it, you can discover the overall moral of that particular scenario in the form of a written letter to the princess. http://www.hubworld.com/my-little-pony/shows/friendship-is-magic/games/game-mylittlepony-discover I don't consider this requiring a spoiler alert, unless you are 110% anal about your pony-age, in which case, *SPOILER ALERT*
  23. So this owl guy... thing... You think he is a reoccurring character? pleasesaynopleasesaynopleasesaynopleasesaynopleasesayno....
