  1. Mark Time had found the balloons he needed and managed to scrounge up a few bottles of lifing gas. He set them down near the wreck of the fortune and glory. Now he was going to find some wood and some rope to tie the balloon down with. He looked up into the sky. The sun was getting lower, but they still had a fair bit of sunlight left. Mark walked over to to the grindstone where Pip and Clawee were grinding up the statues. He surveyed the broken ship, and tested some of the more intact peices of hull. He found them suitable, as there were still some strength left in them. He levitated them up and brought them over to his work area, where he was going to assemble the vessel. Before he started, he needed Pip, and his areonautical knowledge. He went back to the two grinders, and mulled over his weapon choice. He chose a spear like instrument. Turning to pip, he asked, "Hey, when you're finished, can you come and help me with the rescue vessel?
  2. Mark Time's head was swimming with visions of cake at the mention of the bakery products, but went down at the mention of weapons, attentive and heeding to Pips warning, and took a cautious few steps back when Pip displayed his weapon. "Good idea Pip. Nice work finding that." He wondered what kind of weapons he may use. Something long, like a spear he hoped. He was good at handling lengthly things, like his trombone. He looked over at Clawee, holding the baking soda barrel. He smiled. He knew what she intended it to be for. Mark left, looking for planks of wood to make a platform and to get the lifting apparatuses they needed. (Sorry for the short post, my iPod is being erratic. Also, has canterlot been down for either of you?)
  3. Mark Time sat down and pondered. He didn't ponder ways to further himself musically, or philosophy, but what he did think about was the configuration of the rescue ship. They needed a vessel that could get the limestone to the eel, without or at least, minimal, damage to themselves. He thought that they might be able to fashion a slingshot, but, that probably wouldn't have enough force, and there most likely was no elastic material around. He liked the idea of fastening the limestone to a long pole, and having the eel chomp on it. Perhaps, if they got close enough, Mark could levitate it. He didn't like that notion, they could get seriously hurt. Then, Mark had heard Clawee say that the lifting cells be used to fly the stuff over, and even could be towed. He liked that idea the best. There was also the issue of the gaining the eel's attention. He remembered seeing the bags of flour in the ship. There was once a time, when Mark was younger, he and some friends had snuck a bag of flour out of his mothers kitchen. They we're intending to bake something, but ended up playing with it. He remembered that one of the ponies got covered in it, and wherever she went, a cloud of white followed. As they walked home, everypony, near and far, had an eye on her. "Maybe we can use that...attach it to the ground up stone...get its attention off of us...." he mumbled. As he thought, he was levitating a stick and drawing diagrams of his ideas in the ground. He looked up from his seat to find Pip, rushing toward him. "What's the hurry, Pip?" After Pip told him what he had found, he looked toward the boxes. "Great job Pip! Show me where it is, and we can get to grinding."
  4. (sorry for my unresponsivness as of late....AP tests and State tests have come again.) Mark Time reared his head at Pips idea. At first he thought that it wasn't a bad idea, a viable fall back option, should the plan fail. But, just the thought of the spear doing its deed quickly made Mark dissmis the idea.......and gag a little. Besides, there wasnt much to sharpen a pole with. "Pip.......that's very inappropriate for a foal like you. It worries me. How do you come up with this stuff?" Then, the answer came to him. Sky Pirate Harle. Those books had a reputation of being a bit graphic. Mark winced after he said this to Pip. There was a tone of hypocrisy in his voice. While Pip was indeed a foal, speaking of such things, Mark himself was still a colt. Mark didn't like hypocrites. Then, Mark heard Clawee. About how Limestone upsets the eels. The inner machinery of his mind clicked and whirred as he tracked the pebble down Into the freighter. He scrambled down to the ship, and looked around. Some boxes that had the word "fragile" on them caught his attention. His horn glowed, and the lids lifted. One was a box full of electrical parts. Wires, batteries, transistor and the like, most likely on the way to an inventor. Another was filled with jewlery. The last made Mark Time smile. There were little chunks of some statuettes inside. The paper inside said that they Were replicas of the discord statue, ordered by a collector. The paper identified the greenish material to be limestone. "Pip! Clawee! I think I've found what we need!"
  5. Mark Time stepped off the train, and breathed the fresh mountain air. It had been awhile since he set foot in this city, and mingled with its cultured people. He could have stayed in ponyville as long as he liked, but he needed to indulge himself with that sort of state of mind that only Canterlot could provide. There was no objective as of right now, so he decided to wander the streets. He stopped into art galleries and viewed the sketches and paintings. He stopped inside of bookstores, and read a bit, browsing the titles. He even treated himself to a meal in one of the fine Canterlot restaurants. Even though there was more to be done, he decided to head home. As he walked passed the fields of one of the schools he practiced on his mind drifted back to his days in band. Playing, working, and marching his way to victory. His hooves changed the way the hit the ground, and soon found himself semi-upright. He heard music in his head. But this was no memory. He looked around and sighted Waltzing Serenade on the wall, playing his lute. He decided that he could make another detour, and walked close by, listening to the music.

  12. The main issue with the people against the fandom, (as with all racist or sexists etc..) is that they are not open minded. They are afraid of change. Take the example of the 4chan war. When the brony community first stemmed out from within its depths, people were scared (according to a report on the subject of internet sociology) of the ponies. They promoted peace, harmony, and especially tolerance and love. They went to /b/ to be dirty, to indulge the darker part of the mind. 4chan was a place where things like hate and intolerance and the simple fun of chaos could be expressed. Their minds were very open to this; human nature, unfortunately is more darkly aligned. Then, the bronies stemmed up, and they embraced it, being from the /b/ board. When they saw that they were letting this new idea into their internet lives of their own free will, they started to close their minds. The open minded left and took the ponies with them. Now we have an amazing fanbase, and we now have a huge chunk of the internet, where good is promoted. The problem, to me isn't intolerance, its just about people who aren't open minded,

  15. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria Name: Mark Time Sex: Male Age: Colt Species: Unicorn Eye Color: Emerald Green Coat Color: Navy blue Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: His coat is a shade navy blue, likened to an Ursa, but without the starry bits. His mane is a lighter shade of azure, and is grown out over the head, like Big Macintosh. He has his hair cut to fit in the shako. He also has his tail cut during the summer marching season so that it can fit inside of the uniform but lets it grow again during the off season. It carries the hue of sky blue. Both his main and tail have a streak of black. Physique:Mark time is at a little bit tall for a pony of his age, but the real eye catcher is his width. He isnt given his girth by fat, but rather by muscle. His time spent conditioning and practicing for the Canterlot Ursa Minors has given him him a lot of strength, with an appearance to boot. He is especially muscular in his hind legs. Cutie Mark:His cutie mark displays two marching maces, crossed in a "skull-crossbones" arrangement, with a yellow treble cleft in the "skull" position Origin/Residence: He was born and raised in Ponyville, and later moved to Canterlot. He still spends a lot of time in ponyville, as he has many friends there. Occupation: Mark Time carries two part time jobs, on addition to any odd jobs he does around town. His summer job is a marcher in the famed drum corps, the Canterlot Ursa Minors. This provides the main of his income. In the winter, he works at a general goods store, taking over when the marching season is done. He also does paid gigs from time to time,in some of the local clubs that offer live entertainment. Motivation: Mark time is a patron of the arts. He has read many of the great equestrian classics (and even has a bit of a knack for writing) and is a commoner at the art galleries and exhibitions. But none of this compares to his love for music. Mark Time has been seen all around the music scene, from raving out all night, to attending wind concerts. His love of music drove him to play it. His instrument of choice is the trombone. He owns one, and is a great player. He can play anything from symphony to rock to jazz (which he prefers) He is always happy to share his knowledge to anyone that asks. Likes: Music, foods, having fun, parties, A crazy night. a good days work. Dislikes: Swindlers, Liars, Wasting time, Irresponsibility, stagnancy in life. Character Summary: Mark Time was born and raised in Ponyville, to a family with high regards to values like Responsibility, Initiative, Education, and the joy of a good days work. His father would always play music for him, showed him old family drawings, and his favorite works of literature. These are his favorite childhood memories, because his father worked as a construction worker. The hours were long, and he came home when Mark was asleep most of the time. Mark's interest in music began when his father took him into town to see the parades. He admired the marchers, the regality of the scene, and how disciplined they looked. He picked up a trombone he bought with some bits he saved up, and started to learn how to play. He picked up the ability to read music as he went along. Mark Time eventually moved away from Ponyville to pursue a life of art, and what better place to do that than Canterlot? Along with absorbing the sophisticated culture, he dreamed of joining the premier drum corps, the Canterlot Ursa Minors. This was one of the best bands in all of Equestria. He had been conditioning and training for this every day, while he bolstered up his confidence and funds. When he had enough money, Mark paid his due and was sent to band camp in Appleoossa. He knew that this would be as close to hell a pony would get, but he was ready. All of the other ponies were bigger and seemingly tougher, and he was constantly ridiculed for being the only blank flank. During that week in the desert, his spirit was crushed, his body was battered and bruised, and his mind was strained to its maximum, with the constant reminder that he could leave. Escape was just a hoof raise away. But he had made the cut. He had fallen on the last day, and the drum major helped him up. Some of the other marchers were glancing at Mark's flank with a smile. Mark time had earned his cutie mark. That season, they took second in champions. The practicing and preforming, and lessons learned, satisfy all of his values he learned as a younger colt. Today, Mark Time works in a general goods store in the off season. He's bought his own house with the money from marching band. Hes got a few good friends, and plays jazz in local clubs. He can be seen in Ponyville, or Canterlot. He offers free music lessons, because he believes that music should be shared, and he gets enough money already. (Pony creator derped up the Cutie mark, so this is him in the pony creator version of his uniform )

  22. About myself.: Im a big fan of Skyrim, and the Elder Scrolls series in general. Im also big on music. Ive made a few dubstep tracks, and I play trombone in marching band and symphonic band at school, and in a jazz band outside of school. I like theoretical physics, and I want to become a quantum engineer. I also have an aptitude for writing. How did you hear about Canterlot.com?: A friend on ponysquare told me. How did you became a fan of FiM?: Like most other bronies, the internet sparked my interest. My one favourite main cast pony?: Twilight Sparkle I used to be scared of this place for some odd reason. Most likely because ever since the Warriors Role play craze, I haven't role played at all. I really hope to do better and better, and where better to do than then with the best community ever? Thank you for having me!
