  1. The sun rose and Dunder did too. He opened his eyes, quickly jolted by the breathing on the back of his neck. He slowly turned over, his eyes still tired, but he could see Muggo' behind Dunder with one of the earth stallion's forelegs wrapped around Dunder's chest and pulling him close. Dunder looked around, making sure Fire wasn't laughing her flank off. Dunder grabbed Muggo's hoof and gently lifted it off of him before crawling out from under Muggo's reach before letting down his hoof again on the bed. Dunder didn't know what else to do, nopony seemed awake right now. He trotted inside the bathroom with his thick cloth bag with his two swords. He took out his longsword first, and laid the blade down inside the tub, holding the handle in his fetlock. He took out the metal tin of clear sword oil and unscrewed the lid before dripping the liquid on. He carefully ran a cloth over the blade since it was sharp. The sharp blade didn't agree with Dunder much when he gripped it and ran it over his fetlock a bit when Fire burst into the bathroom with a need to throw up. As she was doing her thing, Dunder was wiping his cut with a clean cloth he had gotten off the counter next to the bath tub. After it calmed down, he wrapped his fetlock in the cloth, he'd change it to a bandage later anyway. All the while Fire was talking to him. "Yeah, sure, I'll clean your daggers... bring them in here, though. And I'll cook breakfast... just hold on." He said. He was usually designated chef, because, well... he was a chef. "And morning, Muggo'! Just oiling the swords." He said as he went back to work, not looking at either of them. Dunder's report was not easily found, it was filed with the REA files but forgotten long ago. He was named Dunder Blust and born in Solstice heights to an immigrant family. His family records weren't too detailed, only basic things like his mother was a pegasus and his father was an earth pony. He had 3 siblings and was one of the middle foals. His medical record showed he almost never got sick, but nearly died when he was a foal due to pneumonia. Also, he was very large for his pegasus body and age. His school records showed he was a pretty good student, passing most classes and all government exams. He had been training in the sword fighting arts since he was a colt and won many tournaments. He hadn't gotten in trouble with the law, except for suspicions he was involved the the injury of a mugger in the everfree. He also had applied for the Royal Guard 6 times and was denied each time for "misconduct." Specified for taking matters into his own hooves too much in dangerous situations or protecting other ponies with a style the REA didn't agree to. He recently led on an expedition with 5 adventurers, some inexperienced and some moderately experienced. They all 5 got captured by a large number of gryphons and diamond dogs. Dunder was still the leader, so he led them to the escape. Most were wounded, but all escaped alive. Interrogation on methods of escaping and location of the capture are still at hold.

  4. Unless Blueblood goes and wakes them up for some odd rason.
  5. As Dunder was getting ready to leave, he eyed the glass. After Muggo' made the remark about impressing the elites of Canterlot, he knew Fire would say something, even though it was directed at him. Now was his chance. He scooped up the glass and took a big sip from it before setting it back down on the table with a sigh of satysfaction, making sure that Fire knew well what he had just done. " I'm getting tired of these Canterlot ponies." He said, his voice still rough from just drinking. "Anyway, lets go back to the room.... er, go to the room. We haven't gone there yet." He said as he trotted off. After the standard procedure to get access to the room, they opened the door. The room looked exactly like a regular hotel room, except way fancier. He felt almost bad to live there and know he was going to mess up the incredibly nice room. "Wow, this is good looking." He said after throwing his stuff on one of the beds, "Righto, this is our bed. And I get the left side." He said, not really having a preference to either. The look of the bed was too inviting. Dunder couldn't help but feel the overwhelming need to sleep. He took off his shirt as he spoke, "I'll oil the stuff in the morning, now I want to just lay down." He said before jumping on the bed and curling up under the blankets away from Muggo's side.
  6. "Wedding? I'll go during the wedding and eat all the food. And object when the priest says, 'speak now or forever hold your peace!' What will I say? I don't know. I'll make up something on the spot.: He said, "At least she's cute. And I wouldn't want to meet her. It'd be awkward just sitting there while you two make out or whatever you guys do." He said. The thought of reliving awkward moments like that brought shivers down his spine. Anyway, he wouldn't want to mess it up for Muffo' which he knew there was definite possibility of doing. When Fire brought over the food. When she mispronounced the name of the banana, he cocked his head. "What? A Ban-anna? You mean a banana, right?" He asked Fire, baffled at why she didn't know what a banana was. He took one of the bananas in his fetlock and with some careful biting and tearing managed to rip the peel off. He bit it in half when Fire challenged him. It might not sound like a challenge, but in situations like this where it was Fire vs Dunder over something silly it was a challenge. He leaned back on his chair as Muggo' spoke, "Blueblood will call us again. It'd be silly if he called in another team when we already know the back story of the journal and some of our way around the Unyazi. Anyway, this isn't just something that we found and it's second-rate collectible. This is his dad's journal. He wouldn't want to leave this kind of stuff unchecked." He finished off the banana, covering his mouth with his hoof as he spoke next, "Anyway, more bits for us and I have no problem getting paid by a noble." He said. He stood up, hooves on the table, "Speaking of getting paid, it's about time we get each of our shares." He grabbed the two bags of bits and started taking out 100 bits from each of the bags, leaving three groups of two hundred. He shoveled his bits into his saddlebag, "Well, seems like I'm ready to go to the room. I'm paid and I need to oil my rapier and longsword anyway. Also we need to check out the sweet Canterlot room we get and I need to claim my side of the bed." He said with a grin.
  7. "That's Dunder Blust, to you, Blueblood." Dunder said as the white unicorn left. He nodded his head in a mock-respecting way as the unicorn exited the room. "He was charming. I wonder why all the stallions and mares gossip about him being rude or arrogant." He said sarcastically and laughed. He wasn't at all phased by what had just happened, he mostly expected it anyway. He didn't care if that certain pony didn't like him, and it was obviously so. "He wasn't too bad." He said before looking back at his companions. When he saw a hoof moving for the glass, Dunder slid the wine glass he had shared with Fire over to her hoof. "Yes, we made you look really good, only because we love you." He said with a smile. "And why would be be getting smashed or hammered during the night? I don't drink, as it was made obvious by the wine." He laughed. When Muggo' made the comment about cuddling, Dunder only grinned wide, "Oh, I'm fine with a little cuddle from you, sweetie." He said jokingly and stuck a tongue out at him. When Fire made the comment about giving a date for Muggo' Dunder looked at Muggo' with a wide grin. Expecting the large earth stallion to blush or get shy or something... what actually happened surprised and shocked him. He slammed his hoof on the table, "WHAT!?" He nearly yelled, "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked and smiled wide. He had something new to tease Muggo' about. "What's her name? Is she cute? Did you kiss her yet?" He asked rapidly. He couldn't contain it, he laughed. He stopped when he made the comment about him, realizing that he now could be teased for being single still. "Huh! So what? I'm fine single." He said, though it did get kind of lonely sometimes.
  8. Oh.... He can sill do entertainment with the sword fighting ;D If not, he'll still go as a guest.
  9. Quicklime, did you see my post? You seemed to just have ignored it.
  10. Dunder is a chef, he can cook anything not super fancy And he can do entertainment with sword fighting.
  11. When Muggo scared the griffon wit the small "Boo" the griffon jumped, right before the heavy metal and wood door to the mines closed with a slam and a shuffle of chains. Dunder was going to retaliate when Winter got hit.... but he was thinking against it... it pained him. Standing up for Winter would probably lessen their chances of survival as a whole and risk Dunder's life. Possibly even one of the other ponies.... if it was only him, he'd do it, but he couldn't now. Too many injuries already... Muggo, one of their stronger fighters was at about half the combat effectiveness with a sprained leg, Midnight was still fine, Dusty wasn't much of a fighter, Winter was still dazed and wasn't much of a fighter as it was. These odds had the tides against them, an all out fight would not go their way... words is what they needed. the diamond dogs are secondary, what our primary objective is we need to get out of here, just us ponies. the diamond dogs could probably take care of the griffons... When Dusty called him over, Dunder answered. The pony was onto something, the griffons were calling the shots and the diamond dogs were being used as brawn. Revolt was in order, and it'd be a mutual benefit for the diamond dogs and the ponies against the wicked griffons. "I agree. These diamond dogs are fickle... they're also basic in the head. We promise everything they want and they will help us. these diamond dogs are not being supervised and have many more soldiers and heavier weapons than the griffons, they obviously have either the griffons trust, or the griffons think they can handle against the diamond dogs. Our best bet is to turn the dogs against the griffons, in the confusion we escape. We need to plant the seeds, we can't force it to grow, these dogs are simple and the griffons have the advantage on their heads." Dunder said and looked around before picking up a pickaxe, "Everypony break, we need to look like we are working, near the diamond dogs and talk loudly enough to plant the seeds in the dogs' heads." He said before trotting off towards a mineral deposit near the guard's post. The two guards that were there listening to Muggo' and Winter. They didn't try to look like they were listening, but shuffling of the feet and eye contact made it too obvious. They exchanged a few quick words before returning to their guard stance. One said, "the griffons are strong, and they promise us money if they organize our mines." One said, the other only looked at the guard who spoke up, then at Muggo. "What are you talking about?" The one who hadn't spoke up asked Winter.
  12. Dunder was still eyeing the bag of bits when Fire had asked the correct pronunciation of the zebra tribe. "Yeah, you've got it." He kept listening to her and Muggo' talk about the Tribe. After Muggo' he put in his two bits, "He could have dropped it, had to leave it, or it could have been taken from him." Dunder said to Blueblood, "There were more active bandit gangs back then. Also, some of the tribes could mug travelers just for being on their land. Possibly starting with the Hodari tribe we should start asking questions." Dunder said. He looked over at Fire when she sent him the request. He gave her a surprised look, "What? I don't have cooties." He said and stuck his tongue out at her with a smile, "Anyway, we've shared canteens and drinks before. It's only a little Dunder spit, it won't kill you, I promise." He said and looked away while grinning. He also recalled when she had too much to drink at one pub they visited and started trying to kiss him and Muggo'.
  13. Sorry! D: I'm really busy IRL right now >_< I'm backed up in RP's as it is. I'll post now, though.
  14. [Maybe a posting order? Stainless Steel Fox, tacobob, Sturmmann, Dunder?] "Mercenary compatriot?" Dunder asked as he looked around at his friend's faces. Everypony except Blueblood. He looked back at Blueblood, "Oh. Me. I'm hardly a mercenary. And Muggo' is right, we're just kidding." He said. He didn't smile or try to assure Blueblood that the joke was true. In fact, Dunder hoped to get paid, after all, he thought he should after falling into a hole after going to the bathroom in a bush. Especially since he scraped up his wings pretty bad while falling down the hole. The way Blueblood was acting was amusing to Dunder. He expected the pony to be acting pompous, that it was true was making everything the better. He'd be trolling the pony right now if it weren't for Fire or the bits on the line. When he offered to double it for details, he looked over to Fire then back to Blueblood, "200 bits a head? You're a very generous pony, Blueblood." He said, sounding sincere. He didn't add anything to the story, after all, he didn't want to muck up any of their memories. Anyway, Blueblood wouldn't know that their stories were inaccurate if they were.
  15. Dunder followed the pony and the hippogriff into the cave. He still couldn't help but feel awkward. But it felt good to kiss Storm, of course, he would keep that to himself. The talk of sleeping made him yawn a bit, before suddenly looking drowsy. He crawled onto his bed and shaped a part of the cloud to look act like a pillow. He closed his eyes before saying, "Night, all."
  16. Dunder watched them. He had to hold back a scoff as Blueblood was acting the way the rumors said he would. He hated thinking the rumors were facts instead of just mares and stallions running their mouths off and blowing things out of proportion. He wanted to ask some questions about the book, after what they went through to get it, he thought it was only fair. "So how much are you going to pay us?" He asked. He grabbed Fire's wine glass and took a sip, right where her lips had been. He coughed from the foreign taste of the red liquid and cleared his throat before speaking. "Muggo' is right. We want to know what you're gonna pay." He said as he leaned back in his chair and looked at Muggo' then at Blueblood.
  17. "Hey! It takes skill to wear pink and still look like an amazing stallion." Dunder said to Muggo', "You don't understand such things with your dumb brain." Dunder teased. When he was hoofed the card from Fire, he examined it all over. "Wow! Thanks Fire! And I'm probably just not wear any clothes when I come here. Only if you come I'll be forced to not let you show me up too hard with your dress." He said and stuck his tongue out at her. "Or Muggo' with his fancy stuff." "I'll bet you one bit that this pony will be a few minutes late." Dunder said, he said in response to Muggo's 'taking bets.' "Fashionably late sounds like something he'd do. If the rumors are true, but I don't like to pay much attention to rumors." He said. When Blublood came in, Dunder watched Fire. she seemed to handle things well with royalty. Well, she grew up around them, so it would only make sense. He sat back in his seat and looked away. He flashed Muggo a 'What do you think?' look.
  18. Dunder was paying no attention to Crescent. He was too far in the zone right now, and he had better things to think about. Like watching out for his ponies or for himself. He needed to survive, not only for himself, but for Amy. He knew that some of his ponies had mares or stallions to think about too. How Crescent took off made Dunder want to punch the pony as hard as he could in the face. Though it seemed like Crescent left only for personal vengeance, he was fighting their leader and cutting the head off the snake could be useful. Anyway, Dunder had no time to be angry. He was sending out order after order after order and occasionally fighting off an enemy or two that had gotten through the lines. He sent off 2 units of fast fliers to all breath through the enemy ranks like Crescent and destroy as many of the cloud cannons as possible or at least kill the crew. He didn't call any orders yet for the dragon.... he knew he needed to do something, but he wasn't sure what. He had never fought a dragon and he didn't know of any weaknesses. He wasn't going to throw ponies into the breach or abandon them to get destroyed by the beast. From the back of their formation, he took 4 ponies and ordered them to follow him. He made sure they all knew they were about do do something dangerous and they all may not survive. He flew them around the back of the formation and out of the battle to meet the dragon. Dunder and his 4 ponies flew as fast as they could straight for the dragon. Dunder ordered all of the ponies to fly and strike for anywhere. Anywhere that didn't look like it could take much of a beating, they needed to knock the dragon out of the sky. The other ponies all flew for different parts, whether it was the belly, the wings, the neck... Dunder flew steadily, waiting for the time to strike.
  19. The adventure RP is up.... though Dunder, Firewalker, and Muggo are the only ponies in it right now. So, be patient
  20. Dunder was a little nervous being this far inside of the more important buildings of Canterlot. Also the thought of meeting a pompous Prince wasn't helping. He was pretty silent as the other two ponies talked. He listened to both of them, Fire seemed like she was ready to go do flips, she was so happy. He couldn't help but smile at her stories. She was definitely glad to be back here. Muggo' was more mellow, but Dunder could tell he was excited. Dunder was only wearing a light pink dress shirt after Fire got all dressed up. He would have preferred wearing nothing, but this was to be an important meeting. Maybe it was better that he didn't look like he didn't care, especially since this was such a big thing for fire. He'd hate to ruin it for her. Anyway, she knew what she was doing better than him when it came to Canterlot nobles. His history with them wasn't the best. "Yep, have many times. Most of the time, it doesn't end well. I usually end up offending them somehow. I don't even know what I do." He said, "But forget them, I don't give a flying feather. I'm also going to try to think about everything I say, so I don't mess this up." He said. "And maybe to see if he's really as they say he is." He said, looking to Muggo.
  21. Dunder flew alongside Crescent. Nervous about fighting again. He was sure he would survive... but it was war. Before he left, he gave a note to one of the ponies who was an earth blacksmith like Amy. It was to be given to her if Dunder was killed. He wrote it after Amy kissed his cheek, making it obvious that she had feelings for him. It said for her to forget about him as fast as she could, that he was dead and there was no reason for him to hold her back. He also left his life savings to her, for there was no other pony he knew that could use it better than her. He couldn't stop thinking about her after they left. He had been silent and more solitary after leaving the main camp. The thought of uncertainty about the future was overwhelming him. The battle, Amy.... it was almost too much to bear. He knew there would be more battles and more chances of him to die. Dunder knew that Crescent was going to be a bad commander and leave his soldiers behind like he said he would. Dunder stayed back in the fight, keeping orders coming as well as boosting morale for his soldiers with his valiant fighting. He knew that he was needed by his soldiers. He was slaughtering enemies as his soldiers flew on, pushing the enemy back.
