  1. North star was exhausted, but he kept running. Just a few more feet, and he would be in the safety of the Everfree forest, where he could easily hide. Behind him were a small few ponies that somehow managed to find him as he helped with their crops. Unfortunately, earlier that week, a manticore had been sighted almost leaving the Everfree forest, and guess who got the blame for that one? Even as he dashed forwards, he sighed to himself. How in Equestria did he come to get blamed for everything bad that happened in Ponyville? Almost as soon as he jumped into the tree line he vanished, and his pursuing ponies stopped in their tracks. Star looked back at them from hiding, and he just felt sad. He had done nothing but help these folks, and yet they still tried to chase him out of town. One of the chasers shouted out "You better stay out where you belong!". Then they starting whispering. Then they just stood there. Star stared at them confused. He hoped they knew he was in the Everfree, and that waiting for him to come out was pointless. He really didn't see the whole point of it. At least, he didn't until he heard the growl about twenty feet into the woods. Only one thought stuck with him. Only last week a manticore had been sighted at the edge of the forest...
  2. Riddle was beginning to panic a little. Not for his sake, but for Shimmers. She was obviously, well, miserable. 'Oh, dear Celestia, this is not good.' Riddle was fretting a bit, when out of the blue, a thought struck him. He was considering some way of introducing Shimmer to the town moments ago, was he not? Even thought the answer was a bit of a deus ex machina, it was a rather sound one. Still facing the armored stallion, Ardent Will apparently, he spoke. "Yes, I'm afraid there is a reason behind this, but it certainly isn't us. No, if I might say, the citizens of Ponyville brought this on themselves. Shimmer here seems to have gained an unfair reputation as the town witch, when she does nothing of the sort. Not a curse in sight, but still the ponies fear her. Why? Well now, I believe that's the real question." At this point, several ponies in the crowd were a bit stunned and looked straight at Riddle. Not quite the reaction he was working for, but hey, take what you can get. He continued on "Speaking of questions, I do believe its my turn to ask you one, is it not? You mentioned the princess, so does that make some sort of guard, perhaps? Wait, no... a guard probably wouldn't leave his post. So, then, what does that make you?" Riddle adopted a more curious tone of voice, but a few ponies still stared oddly at him.
  3. Riddle, for one, was fascinated with this armored pony's sudden appearance. Okay, well maybe at first he was slightly annoyed. He never was fond when new questions just flew out of the sky. Anyways, he looked over this new stallion for a good second or two, thinking to himself all the while. 'Armor, huh? Who would wear armor around Ponyville? More likely that he's out of town. What did he say earlier? Praise Celestia? Yes, that was it. Ha, this is getting interesting.' He was quite aware of how Shimmer shied up again, but that couldn't be avoided now. Pausing for a second, he gathered some stray thoughts. "I suppose you could say I'm new here, yes. Than again, I'm really new everywhere. Now, my friend here brought up a rather good point, and I must admit I'm thinking more or less the same. Why do you ask?" Riddle stopped and waited for an answer, and turned his head facing towards this armored pony.
  4. "Embarrassed? Perhaps caught off gaurd, but it takes more than that to embarrass me." Riddle gave a brief smile as he spoke, before continuing to follow Shimmer down the road. Although His companion certainly didn't seem to mind the crowds, Riddle certainly managed to notice the occasional glances. As the ponies gave fearful looks, he was finally starting to get the gist of her problem. For the most part, he figured being ignored would cause a scene, but from that, a few stray thoughts began emerging. He turned his head towards Shimmer, as his trot sped up a little to keep pace. "Hey, I don't suppose any of these ponies know you very well, do they? Perhaps a good introduction is all you really need. After all, if they know there's nothing to fear, they wouldn't have anything to fear!" Of course, there was the slight problem of actually accomplishing this...
  5. Indeed, velcome to Canterlot! I look forward to seeing you around
  6. Roleplay Type: Equestria mane rp Name: North Star Sex: Male Age: Stag Species: Peryton Eye Color: A lush evergreen color Coat Color: His coat is a rather short furred brown, which in turn is a cross between tree bark brown and sandy brown Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: His mane is about medium sized, and it always seems to be a bit messy while is tail is, you know, deer-like. Both are a darker brown than his fur, in fact they almost match perfectly with the trees' wood. His antlers are, like his mane, about a good medium length and look quite elegant. However, his wings are something of an anomaly. Unlike the usual Peryton, his wings are actually slightly bigger than the wings a Pegasus would have. Physique: Like most Peryton, Star is somewhat smaller than your average pony, but despite this, even at first glance one could tell he's quite agile. His smaller build tends to make him nimbler which is quite helpful really, given his choice of living quarters. Cutie Mark: n/a Origin/Residence: Everfree forest, although on more adventurous days he wanders outside of the forest Occupation: I guess you could say he's kind of a guide Motivation: First and foremost, Star is a rather carefree stag. Although he may seem rather aloof, he really does care about other ponies. Whenever he can, he tries to help out others, especially when a pony gets lost in the everfree. Yep, he guides lost ponies, or helps out ponies who want to explore the trees. Likes: (optional) Helping out ponies, exploring, forests, animals, playing various games, and his pet fox (Volpe) Dislikes: (optional) Being helpless, watching other ponies suffer, getting lost or sidetracked, and being shunned Character Summary: Perhaps being born and raised in the Everfree was the best thing that could have happened to North Star. Raised by his parents, Monsoon and Evergreen, Star quickly learned what every Peryton does best. That is to say, learning how to hide from danger. And boy was there a lot of it. Even as a fawn, he was tagging along with his parents to avoid running into cockatrices and manticores. Luckily, his parents were smart enough to make it all seem like a game, which is perhaps where he got his relaxed attitude towards danger. Anyways, slowly as he grew up, he transitioned from living with his folks to living on his own in the Everfree. Of course this can be quite lonely, and Star began craving social interaction to the point of talking with trees. One day, however, he came across a rather small problem. That is to say, a young fox that was being tormented by a cockatrice. Figuring as long as he wasn't seen he couldn't be turned to stone, he began throwing small twigs at the bird until it left. Not a moment too soon either, as it had almost petrified the poor little fox. Feeling sorry for it, Star took him in and named the kit Volpe, and the two quickly became fast friends. Months later, Star came upon another situation. Although not quite as serious, a filly had somehow wandered a good ways into the forest and was seemingly lost. Taking charge of the situation, he managed to calm down the young girl by making a game out of leading her home. As he led her to the forest edge, he felt quite satisfied with himself. Putting two and two together, he decided that helping ponies was something he wanted to continue to do. In order to do so, he moved to a section of the Everfree that was relatively close to Ponyville, and he began secretly helping out ponies. Eventually, he became something of a good omen throughout the town as he helped others. Until that became his downfall, anyways. Eventually, he prioritized and specifically rescued ponies who were in danger. Eventually he was caught doing this, and the residents of Ponyville began rumors that he had caused the bad events, and they chased him into the Everfree. Although he still travels out of the Everfree from time to time, he almost seems like a different stag. In the forest, he can be quite brave and at the same time carefree, but outside of the forest he rarely ever stops hiding.
  7. ((O.O.C. - Others can still feel free to join!)) If Mirage had been drinking something, almost certainly he would have done a spit take right about now. Luckily he wasn't, and he somehow managed to not lose any composure. Still, the store keeper's comment had startled him, and it took a few seconds to gather his thoughts. It took him a few more seconds to make sure he didn't stammer out the following "Gentlecolt? Oh dear me! No, can't say that I am. Just a friend, really! That's quite a conclusion to jump to, really" Riddle eyes glinted with a small touch of nervousness, before he sighed gently. Mustering all of his remaining charisma, he tried his best to trot casually towards the door, although he paused before turning back. "Actually, I will take one of those daffodils. I need the magic practice"
  8. Well personally, the show is good but what really amazes me about the show is the community. For example, I don't think shows like Naruto or other similar things have fans willing to create entire back stories for ponies that rarely even evolve beyond background characters. The sheer creativity of bronies is what really got me on the friendship express
  9. Upon following Shimmer into the store, Riddle was struck by the amounts of different flowers. Impressed, he smiled. Obviously this was quite a well run store. Getting a bit sidetracked, he wandered around looking at all the different flowers. He was enjoying the smell until he glanced over at the daffodils. Frowning a touch, he murmured, "Now why are these plants so sad?" Trotting over to them (As the shop keeper was looking for myrtles) his horn started glowing a rather pale aura. In a small feat of concentration the daffodils straightened out and brightened up. Unfortunately, nature spells were not his specialty and within seconds they started wilting again, almost humorously. Frowning slightly, his horn glowed again, and again the daffodils brightened than wilted. Riddle sighed, before casting one last spell. This time, Riddle focused considerably into healing them, only to be defeated a third time. Disappointed, he continued walking past them and stared at some very healthy looking tulips.
  10. Well, although it is a touch frightening for the MLP target audience, I'd like to mention the ponies from the story of the blanks are pretty much zomponies in their own right. And as for the omnivorous bit, perhaps the zombies would be more about infection than eating brains, sort of (slightly) similar to a discord brainwashing only contagious and more zombiefied. In addition, while they only have hooves at least unicorns still have their horns.
  11. I'm pretty sure my name/avatar pretty much give away my answer, here. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a catchy song.
  12. As far as doctors go, the first series I watched was the 9th doctor's. He was just fantastic!
  13. In the find a pet song, a good majority of the pets were just over the top cute, but the way tank just kept trying to get rainbow dash's attention really got me. It was rather adorable
  14. Welcome to the forums! I look forward to the opportunity you bring to this community!
  15. THOR PONY! (I think her name is thunder clap, but I'm probably wrong)
  16. Indeed welcome! One can never have to many DnD players, and believe me when I say there are plenty enough here (myself included). So, good luck and I look forward to seeing you 'round the rp threads!
  17. Welcome and long may your ponies prosper.
  18. You know, anything x Trixie just sort of annoys me. Not much rhyme or reason, but I think she works best as an antagonist, and shipping her kind of ruins that.
  19. Well now, I may be new here as well, but that doesn't mean I can't greet with the best of them! Welcome, enjoy your stay, and stay out of staring contests with a cockatrice. They tend to end badly.
  20. So... What is the question to the life, the universe, and everything?
  21. Riddle would have lied if he said he wasn't excited when he got his letter back. He didn't get much mail in the first place, so when the mail pony delivered this, he knew practically immediately what it was. Without wasting much time, he tore into the envelope... Riddle smiled upon reading the letter. "Fillydelphia, huh? That isn't to far... OH! a fair!" If Riddle wasn't excited before, he certainly was now. Then he frowned a bit. Dress up? Sure he had his stage attire, but a cape and a top hat would hardly be appropriate for a county fair. Well, no problem really. He just had a bit of shopping to do. Oh, where to begin...
  22. Wow. I just got some deja vu reading your post. Anyways hi, welcome to Cantorlot!
  23. It would be interesting to make the CMC accidental murderers like how Maggie shot Mr.Burns (Simpsons), but that's just me rambling
  24. Welcome and enjoy your stay! Just try not to, you know, make it rain chocolate on the site or anything...
  25. Name : Mirage Riddle. Gender : Stallion Gender preference (Optional) : Mare, if you please Location : Oh, here, and there. Anywhere that's interesting, really. Age : Young Stallion Species : Unicorn Species preference (Optional) : Oh come now, is this really important? Cutie-Mark (Optional) : Three question marks How would you describe yourself, physically? Ohhh... about average. Travels keep me fit, but that's about it. Black mane, white coat... Oh! and red eyes How would you describe your personality? A bit out of left field, and perhaps a touch odd. What else is there to say? Oh wait, I could probably mention some of my quirks. Well, you see, I suppose questions are as important as answers. You can't have one without the other, and so I figure I'm the question to a lot answers. If that makes sense. What things in life are important to you? Why, life itself is important to me! So much left to do, and so much left to see! It's nothing but one great mystery! Traveling is important, and really just seeking out life's mysteries. Not to answer them, just to pass them along. What's your idea of the ideal first date? Something fun... you know, besides that, I can't think of anything. What are you looking for? This would imply that I'm looking for something in particular. Which is not entirely true. All I really want is somepony who doesn't get impatient easily. Anything else you think we should know? No squirrels. That would be a deal breaker.
