ok well keep in mind this is a pre-established (it just got going so dont worry about jumping into the middle and messing up the flow) thread for tryouts for the team. Its set up in the heartland forum under the title "fliers of excellence" if you feel your OC is up to the challenge go ahead and jump in when you're ready.

looks like we all have pegasus OC's that could work to ur advantage somehow. If you guys are good fliers you could tryout for my flight team, the aeroblades, if not there's always places to go exploring, the everfree the badlands and what not.

I wouldnt put too much thought into it at this point basically all we can derive from the show is that all female royalty/rulers are alicorns of some sort or another. It seems to be more a title or really more symbolic of importance than power or genetics

Hey I know that feel pegasis, its frustrating. the flipping mcdonalds toys were more accurate than some of the store bought ones which should be a huge slap in the face to hasbro, and yet...

if people still buy them as they are now then spending more money on cuter designs is not cost effective.

from the only image ive seen of this occuring with ponies (mlp genesis comic fanfic) which to my utter dismay has been taken down before i could save the picture, I described it with the phrase Quantum Flash Bolt as the flash was so bright (and yellow not rainbow guess i should have told you) that the rest of the sky went black, and there were huge arcs of electricity between the light ring and the ground, instead of a trail of light the pony as imagined was going so fast it appeared to simply appear in its destination instantly...which was the ground, it was soo awesome... except that she died...but she did it to save pony kind so it was not in vain!

Dear shyshy if a pony breaking the sound barrier is called a sonic rainboom, then if it were possible (which yes I know it technicaly is not but these are cartoon ponies we are talking about) then what would breaking the light barrier be called? (I already have a name for it but im curious as to what others think)

Yeah thanks I get what you're saying. This really all sort of stemmed from when a fellow OC said the phrase "Let me give you a down to Equestria tip." that phrase just kind of bugged me as it seemed like a mouthful when a pony could just say earth instead. It just confused me as to whether Earth was officially considered canon or not. thank you!

Just trying to generate some interest for my "Flyers of Excellence" rp. Just want to know if anyone has a talented pegasus OC that would like to be a part of a professional team that my OC Crescent Blaze will be captaining, The AeroBlades. The RP is a tryout thread/ competition to be in the core 4-6 positions of the team. It seems to be a trend on the boards to not use 'Earth' as a term in any sense of the word substituting it with Equestria. It makes sense to me for certain phrases such as "what in all of equestria!" and the like, but even outside of these phrases ponies seem to avoid it like the plague. I'm seriously confused because the ponies in the show have, on more than one occasion, referred to the ground they live on as Earth in both the sense of soil and the actually globe/planet itself. I'll quote Pinkie Pie from the hearth warming eve episode "I've got a news flash for ya cookie. The Earth is round. There is no up or down." Im just curious as to what others will make of this as I have yet to see anypony of the opinion that it is ok to use this terminology on the rp boards.
