    So I might be updating it with an on/off switch. And changing the killing and collecting method because item drop physics seem to be a bit inaccurate on servers...

    Nevermind, I actually got the spawner working again. By climbing up inside, placing torches, and then removing them. Apparently the server needs light changes to remind it that the chamber is actually pitch black?

    Well I would need to find a skeleton spawner, specifically. And building a generic grinder is faster (took like two hours) and easier... It just isn't working anymore for some reason. Though if somebody knows of a skeleton spawner somewhere, or any special strategy for finding dungeons, that would most certainly be useful.

    Okay. So my floating mob grinder was working perfectly when I finished it the other night, but now it's spawning NOTHING. While mobs are still spawning elsewhere on the server. Anyone have any idea why?

    Well it's not really a class update, technically. Just a release of the final Meet The video and start of the Source Movie Maker beta that they felt like celebrating with a few new workshop items.

    Whelp, turns out the process for mob spawning has changed somewhat since the last time I built a mob grinder. (And building it underground next to a gigantic underground ravine/mine shaft/cave system didn't help.) So expect a floating grinder to appear in a remote ocean area soon.

    Someone did that last night while I was playing. And both teams were like 50% pyro. It was beautiful.

    Actually, I could still use some because I don't know any reliable way to find slimes. What times can you be on?

    That's the plan. (Was kinda thinking of trying to hide it behind a hill or something so it also won't ruin any views.) In addition to the off switch. Though speaking of which, would anyone happen to have a few balls of slime I could buy off them?

    1. I also kinda like r34/clop stuff, depending on how it's done. (Though I agree about keeping that stuff properly compartmentalized.) 2. I rather like Cupcakes and grimdark stuff too, for reasons I'm still not 100% clear on. 3. Part of me wants a Luna "Lyra plush" that's big enough to keep books in.

    Weelll, I think something went a little wrong with the server last night. I was digging in my mine when I started getting some major lag, then was disconnected from the server. I logged back in a little while later and was at the bottom of an underground ravine. O.O Keeping in mind my mineshaft had no holes anywhere in it AND was just slightly above bedrock level, so I couldn't have fallen into said ravine.

    So like a trash compactor, then. As for my grinder, I've got the whole server load thing in mind and actually have plans to make it so that it has to be *turned on* to spawn mobs. Probably hook it up to a pressure plate so it only works if a player is standing at the spot where the items get dumped.

    Well I know how to make grinders for any monster type without needing those spawn blocks you find in dungeons, but I understand a lot of server communities tend to frown on those kind.

    By the way, what are the rules on mob grinders and the like? Since I have an IDEA that would require lots and lots of bonemeal to do properly.

    From what I've seen, the furry fandom has some pretty horrible people in it, and some pretty awesome people. Which group you end up with depends on your ability to recognize them early on and steer clear of the folks you want nothing to do with. Well, and luck so that you don't get entrenched with the worse side before you learn how to tell the difference. Not gonna lie, the furry fandom really does have some f***ed up people in it, and "navigating" around them is a lot more important than in the brony fandom. Sorry to hear your time in the fandom didn't go so well, Kaze.
