  1. "I don't. I have friends here that mentioned Pinky Pies party's were some of the best around. Even with that akward run-in with her at the Gala I still decided to come and see what it was like." She still remembered the first time she met the pink pony. She had almost fallen off her stool when Pinky ground into her back.
  2. Considering the fact that her brother's the International Colt of Mystery, her short intro isn't suprising.
  3. As they danced, Octavia's mind wandered. She had just started dancing with a Stallion she barely knew, who she just met the day. Without alerting Greymatter, she tried to get Vinyl's attention at the turntable, hoping that her roomate might be able to help without making Octavia look like a jerk. She didn't exactly hate the pony, even if he did start out seeming a little weird, but she had no knowledge on the subject of guys, and didn't expect to learn anytime soon.
  4. Walking outside, Octavia shuts the door behind them. "Yes?" she asks Greymatter.
  5. "I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the music." Octavia said, laughing. Of course, he couldn't hear her either, but the music served its purpose quite nicely.
  6. "I have absolutely no idea how to dance to techno," she replied. "Frankly, I didn't even know it was possible."
  7. "Mostly quieter activities, such as reading. Honestly, when I'm not performing on stage I'm either at home practicing or listening to others and trying to imitate their style of playing. It takes up so much of my time..." She replied. "This party would be considered an excursion for me, and even here I'm playing my instrument." She nodded towards her cello, which was put back in her case after the duet with Lyra.
  8. "Of course," Octavia smiled. "Anytime you want to talk about it, just ask. I know just a bit about that kind of stuff. Also, you might not want to talk bad about dubstep while Vinyl is around." She laughed, picturing what chaos would have broken loose had Scratch heard Greymatter's opinion of her beloved screeches and wubs.
  9. "I honestly hated the stuff to begin with," Octavia said, blushing again at his compliments. "My father had practically forced me to play a classical instrument, and the cello was the only string instrument the music shop had left in stock at the moment. I fiddled around with the thing for months, but didn't really learn to enjoy the instrument until I went to a concert in the area. That was when I started liking classical, and when all the other tunes started sounding dull and boring in comparison. And you?"
  10. "Oh, thank you." She blushed. As weird as he first seemed, she did know how to take a compliment, and decided he at least deserved her politeness. He also did seem to know at least a little bit about music, and it would be a nice diversion for a little while.
  11. Challenge succeeded, then. You can write that one in your autobiography. Have a good stay.
  12. "Red bottle?" Snapshot hadn't seen anything of the sort near the area. However, whatever it was, the orange pegasis seemed to want it pretty badly. "Maybe one last check wouldn't hurt." retracing his steps, he eventually found his way back to the outskirts of the everfree forest. Starting at the point he picked up the pegasis, he worked around in a circle, checking every rock and crevice he could find. After about an hour, he gave up. "It's gonna take more than just one pony to find this, whatever it is," he said to himself. "Time to find a bit of help."
  13. "That would be her." Octavia said, pointing her hoof in the Blue maned pony's direction. She turned back to Grey Matter. "Yeah, I'm just a bit into classical. I'm the cellist in the Canterlot orchestra, and pretty well known in the area. And you're from Fillydelphia? I believe we did a concert there a few months ago. You might've been there."
  14. Silly? Since when? we cannot have silly around here, shoo. Shoo! Welcome to Canterlot, by the way. Since I guess that's sort of the point of the thread...
  15. "I'm pretty sure there just aren't many people who feel like wasting their bits on a game with a screen," Octavia replied. She was still a bit confused as to who this strange pony was, and didn't see much point in asking a second time.
  16. I almost stopped reading at your name. Hello Andrew, I'm Andrew. Welcome to the forums. As for that appendix, hope you feel better soon, and have fun skipping the last couple of days of school. xD I can tell we're gonna get along fine. Hope to see you in the RP section.
  17. "Oh... umm... ah, hello." Octavia stuttered. "Ah, do I know you, by any chance? I don't recognize your face." And I thought Lyra was the only one who believed in those creatures...
  18. Yay, Rarity fans unite! You won't find many humans on this forum, most of us are ponies. However, I'm sure you'll fit in if you practice walking on four legs. Welcome, and enjoy your stay here. Unfortunately, my OC doesn't exactly fit the description for your RP at the moment, however, I might join in once it progresses a little bit. Maybe if your condos need advertizing I could fit into the story there.
  19. "I'm doing suprisingly fine" She answered. "A lot better than I thought things would turn out at the start. Especially your friend over there, Lyra. She really is a good pony, even if it takes a while to find that good side." She motioned towards the turquoise pony, who had also taken Rainbow Dash's idea and got some more cake. "I know that fantasys like humans can seem strange, but everyone can believe in something. Heck, if humans were real, in some other universe, some might actually believe in ponies, and be shunned in a similar manner." She smiled, the thought almost humorous.
  20. "Haha, and that's coming from a pony who wanted to kiss me over the radio." Octavia said, laughing. As carefree as Vinyl was, she could get moody sometimes. Octavia walked over to the table and got some cake at Rainbow Dash's request. Sitting down, she looked over at Bon bon, who was still sulking in the corner, almost completely oblivious to the goings on. I guess me and Scratch have it off pretty easy, she thought to herself
  21. Octavia hugged Vinyl back for a while. It really was nice, if not a bit strange, to have her roommate like this. Maybe Octavia would even listen to a bit of techno every once in a while. After hugging for a while, she noticed that the other ponys had gotten quiet. Looking around, she realized that every pong had stopped talking and were looking at the couple. Octavia tapped Vinyl on the shoulder. ((OOC: Lol, had to make fun of the bout of inactivity in this thread))
  22. Considering the fact that I can't think of anything better, it's pretty much done. I'm just holding off for some spark of inspiration.
  23. I think we might have to have a competition between me and you to find the least southern southerner. although it's good to hear I'm not the only one, especially when a whole bunch of people on the Internet are surprised I even have a computer and don't live on a boat. It's sorta funny sometimes. Welcome, though, and enjoy your stay.
  24. "thank you," Octavia said, surprised by her friend's generosity. It wasn't every day that Vinyl turned down the volume, especially not in the middle of a party.
