  1. What do you keep in the folder named "My Chill Day"? Kinda a wierd filename. (Or am I just reading it wrong?)
  2. So anyways, this thread came into being after I stumbled onto Artax's desktop thread, then realized I couldn't post there because I don't own an actual desk. I've got a pretty nice laptop, so I just keep all the computer stuff I own next to my couch and plug it in whenever I want to,.. ANYWAYS, back to the topic at hand, post pictures of your desktop AS IT APPEARS at the moment you read this thread. No cleaning up unnecessary shortcuts or changing the wallpaper. (DO, however, change your wallpaper if it's not appropriate and also make sure to remove any personal info from the screen.) Here's mine: (sorry for the low quality, but that was the best I could do and still use the upload feature on this site) Also, that thing in the middle is actually part of my desktop. Its called the WinPet, and essentially it's a storage system for all my shortcuts and an awesome homage to the megaman battlenetwork series! (and yes, I did forget to remove my name from the screen, but I don't really care)
  3. Ok, as a hardcore gamer let me just get this out of the way: "HALO IS A BAD GAME! BAD! BAD! BAD! ONLY MIDDLESCHOOLERS AND NEWBS LIKE IT!" There. I have done my duty. No hardcore gamers are allowed to look in the spoilers below.
  4. Just to let you all know, megaman battlenetwork is my FAVORITE GAME SERIES OF ALL TIME! I've probably devoted more hours to this series than I have to even TF2. However, this series also ended for good a few years ago, ( ) and ever since then I have this intense flashes of complete and utter sadness when I think of the fact that these games aren't going to come out anymore! Not to mention the fact that the fandom for these games (smallish as it was) has almost totally dried up since nobody really want to geek out over a game series that's been dead for five years (FIVE YEARS ? I FEEL SO OLD!). I just want to know if there's anyone else here who loved those games and wants to talk about them. Please?
  5. Eventually I'm going to figure out how to play this game. Eventually.
  6. Materialize. I could just create a death ray and blow stuff up with that. Immortality & invincibility, or being a really powerful ghost that can travel between the realms of life and death.
  7. OOC: This RP will take place in MANY places aside from Canterlot. Canterlot will, however, be the main location where the characters meet up, so that's where this thread is. This RP will also take place in PMs. The warehouse didn't look like a very good place for a secret meeting. Sure, warehouses are supposed to be the place of choice for planning a crime or conspiracy, but normally people chose abandoned warehouses. Not the League of Equestrian Farmers biggest, most active shipping house. Why chose such a public place for such a clandestine meeting? Each pony (and griffon) wondered this as they approached the building. The letter had said to be in front of the warehouse at noon. Well, it was currently 11:59 and the warehouse was bustling. Ponies kept coming in and out, hauling hay, apples, oranges, cherries, and all kinds of produce over to the train yards to be shipped across Equestria. How was anypony supposed to find anyone in this mess? Suddenly, a loud whistle blew, signaling that it was 12:00. In less than a minute, every pony who had been hard at work just a minute ago had gone, leaving the entire warehouse district empty except for a few ponies, staring blankly around at the now barren landscape. After looking around for a few moments, they realized that they were all here for the same reason. (Now, time to talk amongst yourselves.) [Not you Phil. You show up in a little bit.]
  8. For those of you who don't know what this game is, go here: http://www.firefallthegame.com. It. Is. Awesome. Seriously, everyone here should sign up for the beta.
  9. So I know a bit less than a month has gone by since I said I'd start this and I haven't yet, and I'm sorry about that. Real life got kinda complicated, my router decided to start only giving me 3kbs and then I discovered Firefall. But that's over now (except for the Firefall, which is still awesome), my life has been improved greatly, and now I can begin this RP. Just wanted to apologize for the delay and announce that this is starting now.
  10. Sorry you have to withdraw! D: Wish you could play this. But, since apparently everybody is ready now, stay on the lookout for the first signs that the game has begun! You'll notice them.
  11. Ok, so once Chappy & Phil (or whoever) approve lord brony I'll start this. You'll know when that happens.
  12. My Scorch Shot is 'Pyro's Party Cannon", and I'm planning on naming my Festive Knife "The. Worst. Possible. Thing!" and adding the description. "I mean it this time!"
  13. Great! So is everyone ready? If so, then we can let the Game begin!
  14. Total, you know that you can change Canterlot's clock to correspond with you time zone, right?Anyways, I run on EST myself. I'm normally on from around 5:30 to 10:00 pm, with a break somewhere in the middle for food. However, that's really only on tuesdays, thurdays, and fridays, because on every other day of the week my TF2 Highlander team has practice, so I probably won't be available after 8:30 on other days. I also check in on this site about every hour and a half throughout the day. No need to rush. I posted this to make sure that everyone who wanted to join had joined. Since you obviously want to join, I'm happy to wait for you.
  15. No, but it is good to have a time when most people are gonna be on. That keeps five sentence conversations from taking three days.
  16. So, I joined a highlander team a week ago, and it went something like this. Playing a pub when a dude in the game comes up to me: "Hey Chippy, you're a pretty good soldier, want to play backup for my highlander team?" "Sure." The next day, at 9:30, I get a message: "Hey Chippy, our soldier just messaged me to say he couldn't make it. Here's our mumble info and our server password. We need you five minutes ago." So I ready up and go into the server to find that the opposing team is all wearing god level unusual hats, and that the match starts now. I'd been streaming video, so my ping is currently around 780. So, I'm stuck with bad ping, playing a pretty crucial class on a team I don't know against a team that's super coordinated. Oh, and the engie is also absent, and he's been replaced by a dude that they literally just pulled off of somebodies friends list at the last minute. We did not cap a single point. Sigh...
  17. Ok, so I'd like to know if this is everyone who wants to sign up. If this is it, then we should probably start talking what times are good for everybody to RP.
  18. http://www.equestria...r-november.html (Please note that this thread isn't for info about season three, but reactions to the news, plans for watching the show, and general brony stuff like this. If you want news about the show, there's a thread for that.)
  19. Ok, the title of this blog is actually pretty untrue. My mum went to college at age 16, and my dad is one of the smartest people I know. They're both professors at a major university, as well as being published authors. So, really they're pretty amazing people. But they're also some of the worst people when it comes to computers. My mum has no clue at all what she's doing, and while my dad's actually pretty knowledgeable about computers, he has no clue how to apply said knowledge. For this reason, I've been spending quite a lot to time lately helping them 'fix' their computer. And I put fix in quotes because that thing is dead meat. If any of you have parents who probably have your phone number listed in their contacts as 'tech support', you'll know what I'm talking about here. Somehow, even after they put five (and I really mean five) anti virus programs on their computer running full time protection, they still managed to get viruses on that thing. I have no clue how they do it. The thing is so messed up that it takes half an hour to boot up, and the viruses have started downloading other viruses whenever the computer connects to the internet. I have 100% no idea what they did to the poor thing, but somehow, even after I fixed the damned thing a month ago, even going through the freakin' root kit, they've managed to mess it up worse than ever. I admit that I could have missed something, but if I did there was nothing I could have done about it. This thing is SICK. It's probably because of my parents' "Safe internet habits". They're constantly nagging my younger brother about how he'll get a virus on his computer because of all the time he spends on youtube, while they themselves have some of the worst internet habits I've ever seen. They use the computer in question for pretty much two things. Finding recipes on the internet and finding pictures on the internet. They will go to any site the pops up on google. That computer probably goes on more websites than mine, even though I use mine ten times more than they do. I think that one of the many anti virus programs they downloaded (without asking my advice) might have brought some friends along for the ride. However, I've stopped caring and am now just advising them to get a new, not eight years old computer. Sorry for the rant, but this has taken up so much of my life lately that I'm getting tired of it. My internet giving out at the same time did not make things any easier on me. But, my internet is (probably) back up now, and their computer is... probably going to have to be totally lobotomized, upgraded to windows seven, have all it's software re-installed, get backed up, and then finally replaced. Sigh...
  20. YAY! Have a nice life with your new spouse! Best wishes! Good luck! Have fun!
  21. FIrst game EVER played: Dig Dug, age 3. First game ever owned: Some sonic game (can't remember which)
  22. You got it! Have a Muffin! (Sorry, Derpy ate your prize...) Anyways, sorry I haven't been looking at this thread for around a week. My internet died (still not sure it's working properly), and my parents managed to totally destroy their computer and decided to save some money by having me look at it instead of just getting a new one (How in Celestia's name do you get thirty viruses when you're running five anti-virus programs? @_@'). I'm so glad that ponies are signing up for this! This cast looks impressive, and I can't wait for more people to sign up! Also, Chapien, your joke is hilarious. I love that old fashioned USSR humor. The day after the election, Vladamir Putin was sitting in his office when his secretary came up to him, looking worried. "Mister Putin, I've got some good news about the election, and some bad news." "Give me the bad news first." Putin said. "Your opponent received 69% of the vote." "WHAT?" Putin said, leaping to his feet. "That's terrible! What good news could you possibly have?" "You received 84%."
  23. Internet died, parents called me up to fix their busted computer, personal life went crazy. But I'm back now.
