  1. Nah, I was just messing with you. If Celestia can pardon Chrysalis, then so can the rest of ponykind. It's just that all of this pardoning and stuff isn't canon, so we're bound to be less accepting. If you want this to happen then I don't mind. Blueblood, I mean Bluemage is right. Expect the majority of the condo to be hostile until you can prove yourself redeemed.
  2. There's nothing wrong with dating the Queen of the Changelings who recently tried to usurp Celestia and bring about a new age of darkness as ponies everywhere where replaced with demonic spawn that feed off of love.
  3. "Ooh! Ooh! I volunteer for a fly-by! I can fly to the shore and find us a good place to land the boats. Then I can fly further in and try and find this temple, and while I'm doing that I can search for friendly ponies. It'll be an adventure in itself! Ooh! And Duri can come 'cos he's got wings too. It'll be fun!" Wind Runner shouted excitedly at the news that the others would be going by boat. Hauberk grimaced at the news that they'd have to row the rest of the way. Even this salty old dog was afraid of an island like this. He knew that his team were in over their heads already, but if he hadn't then this would have been the final nail in the coffin. "I'll prepare the anchor," he said curtly and paced off towards the other side of the ship. Sailstorm had told stories that made his stomach churn, but even he knew to stay away from here. He mouthed a silent prayer to whatever gods were left out there as he prepared the chain. "Waiting on your call, Captain!" he bellowed over to the other side of the ship. Mind's Eye already knew he was going to die. The whole team were going to fail. He'd heard of this island, and its treasure. He had always pursued anything to get him the magical edge over another pony, but even he knew to avoid this spellbook. Even so, he prepared a few charms and wards and placed them over himself. It was all well and good making sure that Raven made it through alive, but if he was going to lose his life here, he'd prefer to at least see the legendary treasure before his death. If it was as powerful as it was claimed, it may even help him avoid death. He hadn't considered that before. He turned to Allivia, "So, if we're to go into this foray together, I need to know that I can count on you to cover my back. You already know that the Crimson Hooves never leave anypony under their care without protection, but I've never heard of you, Allivia."
  4. (OOC: Sorry, I figured TwinkiePie should go first. Also * denotes thought if that wasn't obvious.) Curse smirked as the mare quietened and took a few steps backwards. She couldn't resist a spell like that, and Curse had plenty more in his arsenal. He turned around to see the earth pony was heading straight for him and not for Lovestone. *Celestia damn it! There's no way he could possibly know that I'm not a security guard! Yet look at him! That's obvious aggression if I've ever seen it.* "Hey, cool your jets, mister," Curse said defensively as he backed away slightly. "This mare has broken into an off limits wing and destroyed priceless art. It is your civic duty to help me take her away from these pieces." *I've gone too far to lose it now. I have to maintain this facade.* When the colt was in position, Curse changed the spell on Lovestone. Instead of the voices talking, they began to shout angrily. The constant deafening shouting was a spell that Curse had tweaked himself. These thoughts normally led to physical violence as the afflicted felt the need to lash out to try and quell the voices. String Heart was now stood directly in front of Lovestone as the frenzy spell began to work its magic.
  5. Mind's Eye shot awake as Allivia bumped into him. The other night he had finished recharging his device and had a few discussions with Hauberk. Deespite his curiosity as to the magical capability of Allivia, he had only had very limited contact with her. He had spent the majority of the two days trying to boost his own magical potential by improving the interface of his horn device. He had made a point to not get to know Raven however. Last time he had worked with a filly... it hadn't been pretty. Mind's Eye would defend her to the death by Hauberk's side, but he would not let his guard down around her. Mind's Eye clambered out of the hammock and followed the other ponies outside. Hauberk heard the cry and quickly untangled himself from the mess of hammock that he had been sleeping in. Hauberk had eventually warmed back up again after Wind Runner had gone and seen him. She'd neglected to mention Raven's part in it, but had assured him that it was just a bit of harmless fun. He'd then proceeded to teach everypony how to play some of his favourite card games, although he hadn't accepted gambling. Hauberk was a very moralistic pony who didn't let any Earthly vice get to him. Hauberk made sure to replace his knife in its scabbard and marched off after the group. When they all left the cabin they found that Wind Runner had already beat them there. Wind Runner could sleep anywhere, and had quickly taken a dislike to the hammocks as they constrained her wings. She had set up a few cushions in the crow's nest and made it a pegasus's nest. Wind Runner had managed to annoy everypony on the ship so far, but Raven seemed to be growing on her. Wind Runner smiled wildly as she repeated what the captain had said, "Land! We're finally here! Pull us in captain!"
  6. (OOC: I completely agree with you, although I kind of sabotaged my character development by having Mind's bow out so early. Could we jump until we hear the cries of "land ho!")
  7. Her melodramatic flare is one of the best aspects of her character. I'm a real sucker for that kind of thing. The way she obsesses and freaks out over the littlest thing draws a certain aspect of charm to her character. I mean she has some of the best reactions to anything and her coiffure... C'est tres bien! (Hope that's right. Only got a C in French GCSE.)
  8. Sacrilege! How can anypony possibly hate such a charming and sophisticated young mare? (Big Rarity fan here.) Wilfred Brimley is here to save us from "diabeetus".
  9. "Oof!" Curse cried as a hoof connected with his chest. Despite his powerful magic he was actually pretty physically weak. A genetic trait he inherited from his father. He found himself winded as he stumbled back and wheezed loudly. After spending ten seconds trying to balance his breathing, he looked up and saw the mare stumbling back to her feet. *This just got bad,* he thought to himself. He then caught sight of a green earth pony that had waltzed into the wing and a smile returned to his face. "You there! Help me stop this vandal!" he cried out melodramatically as he gestured towards the new comer. Curse knew a wide array of powerful spells, but almost all of them required hoof to flesh contact, which was one of the reasons he normally works in the shadows. He had already linked to her when his horn touched previously though, so he was now attuned. His horn began to darken and Lovestone's head was suddenly full of voices speaking in tandem. So many voices with different pitches and intonation blathering on with nonsensical words. *No way she can react in this state.* He then turned back to the green newcomer. "She's already smashed a display case full of priceless works! You have to help me apprehend her!"
  10. Raven finished her papaya and went to grab a banana when she hear Alliva speak to her. "Still am! For some reason I use energy really fast, Hauberk says if I slowed down when I did things I'd be able to go for longer, but its not my fault everypony else is so slow. Sometimes I feel like noponies actually listening to me because they don't reply and it makes me feel sad because I don't like being ignored. It's really annoying," she said a bit sadly then instantly perked up again. "Anyways I eat a lot and rather quickly!" she said as she peeled the banana and bit down on half of the fruit. "Plus this fruit is absolutely rad!" she added as she took another bite and the banana was gone. Hauberk sighed loudly as he lay down into one of the hammocks. He hadn't let anything get at him in so long. It was odd to feel vulnerable, even though he had tried to hide it from himself under a veneer of anger. He had also embarrassed himself in front of his new charges. It'd be hard to get recover his reputation after this. He lay back and sighed again.
  11. (OOC: If you guys are waiting on me, then there's no need. I'll be back when things pick up again. You robotic people have a lot to catch up on, and Sketch was just in the way. I'll post a summary post when he returns.)
  12. *Walks into thread for first time in days* *Walks back out again.*
  13. (OOC: Sorry about the brevity, but I want to let Raven respond (for once.)) Hauberk's mind returned and his vision instantly cleared. His knife was buried in the mast. Sailstorm was going to kill him. He looked around for any trace of the darkness that had filled him seconds ago. His eyes returned back to Ravens. The darkness that he saw before, did she cause it? No... no... it must have been a side effect of exposure to dark magic. He needed to lie down. "I'm sorry," he said curtly as he pulled back out his knife and headed down the steps to the bunks. Wind Runner waited until he was gone and then sighed loudly. "That was close. You made him totally flip out! That was awesome! Until the whole breaking the ship that we're sailing on thing happened, but still awesome!" the red pegasus cheered. She gently slapped Raven on the back. "Rad-i-cal!" She then grabbed another fruit from the chest, a papaya this time, and munched on it noisily.
  14. Buttermilk smiled sweetly at the pony but he seemed too engrossed with his music to even pay attention to her. She huffed indignantly, when a sudden sonic bark from Zippy made her look down to see him nudge her leg and whine. "Oh, does Zippy want to play a game?" she said in her best baby voice. Zippy barked excitedly again. She threw the ball as far as she could with her hoof, watching it fly across the park. Behind her she heard two ponies talking somewhere behind her. She span around with a big smile on her face just as a slate grey unicorn approached her with a big fluffy orange pony behind her. "Lovely weather we're having," she chirped happily to the new pair.
  15. Hauberk suddenly began to feel uneasy. Something was wrong. The sky began to darken and he took a step backwards. His eyes narrowed. His gaze returned to Raven's eyes. They seemed so innocent and pure, but he could feel something behind them. Something strong. He went for his knife and pulled it out when the scene around him completely dissipated into darkness. "Hello?" he called into the blackness. A distant disembodied voice called out something garbled. In concerto, other voices joined in suddenly. Hauberk took another step backwards as a bead of sweat ran down his forehead. "Stay focused," he whispered to himself. A voice suddenly started up behind him so he span around and lunged forward with his knife. Wind Runner burst into a fit of giggles as Hauberk stumbled around, his eyes darting this way and that. She had never seen him that unfocused, even when drunk there was a sense of in control calmness about him. Now he was almost paralytic. Then he pulled out his knife, and suddenly she wasn't so sure. "Hey, Rave? Should he be doing that? What's he going to do with that knife?" She then watched as Hauberk leapt at the mast and buried the blade into the mast. "That isn't good, is it?"
  16. Hauberk passed her half of the melon. "Here you go. It's the least I can do after you kept me fighting off those shadow ponies." Hauberk smiled at her, then picked up his own melon half and took a bite out of it. He made sure to chew slowly with his mouth closed. It never paid to be loose with common courtesies. It always helped to make a good impression. Wind didn't notice Raven's discomfort. "I'll get him to come over here, then you blast him or whatever you do to make him feel stuff," Wind whispered to Raven. She then stood back up and shouted, "Hey! Hauberk. Come meet Raven!" Hauberk turned away from Allivia and trotted over to Raven and Wind. "Making friends are we Wind? It's good to meet you, Raven. From what we were told, it sounds like you'll be a valuable ally in the time to come. If you need any help whatsoever, then you can count on my team. We were ordered to keep you safe and comfortable. You can rely on us," Hauberk said. "Sure, yeah. We can totally do that, Raven. You need anything, ask me and I'll do it. Just like that. Except for anything icky, then you'll have to ask Hauberk, but if you need anything fast, then I'm your mare." Wind Runner then gestured with a tilt of her head towards Hauberk. (OOC: You don't have to do it if you don't want to. This is just Wind's personality, I don't know whether Raven's personality will let her actually do it.)
  17. (OOC: Or I just fail at comedy. Don't worry, I know I do. So those blackouts, eh? I'm worried about typing this post up in case I lose it. ) Hauberk couldn't see past the thick fog that filled the air, but when he turned to the captain, he could see the captain's eyes focusing on something in the distance. He eventually just shrugged it off as experience. "If you say so, Cap'n. If you need me, don't hesitate to call." Hauberk trotted away from the captain and towards the others. No doubt that Wind Runner had found food by now, she never seemed to be full. He rounded the deck to see Wind Runner sat with the two ponies who he didn't quite know. Beside them he could see a crate of fruit. Well that's one thing off my list. Hauberk walked over to the crate and into the group of ponies. "Miss Allivia, Miss Raven, Wind," he said courteously as he reached into the crate and pulled out a honeydew melon. He then reached round to his back with his mouth and pulled out a large knife. He brought it around and cut the melon in half with a single swipe. "Any pony else want any melon?" he asked as he held up the second half. Wind Runner dived back into the crate again and came up a mango which she hurriedly devoured, getting juice and pulp everywhere in the progress. As soon as she had finished she sighed with relief, "That's better." She then noticed Hauberk trotting over and leapt back out of the crate and stood in a nonchalant pose whistling as she looked around everywhere but at him. She then turned to Raven and whispered in her ear, "That's Hauberk. He's a pretty cool guy, but he cares a ton about manners. One time he kicked this stallion in the face and broke his nose because he wouldn't stop cussing." She then suddenly shouted in Raven's ear and jumped in the air, "Ooh! Ooh!" After her outburst she returned to the ground and whispered in Raven's ear, "Make him scared! Nothing ever scares him! It'd be so cool if you could scare him!"
  18. "Aw come on, Raven. I'm sure you can't scare me. Mind's has scared me so many times that now I'm unscareable. (OOC: I know that's not a word, but Wind likes to make things up on the fly.) Like when the zombie ponies started attacking I kicked one in the face really hard, but I wasn't scared at all! I was like "Hyah!" and the zombie was all "Blargh" but then I kicked his flank! Anyway, what was I saying?" Wind paused to take another bite out of her pear, only to find she'd already eaten it. She shrugged and tossed the core overboard. She then dived past Allivia (OOC: I was having her mispronounce it for humour... I guess it didn't work) and bury her face in the box. "I wonder if they have... freaking sweet! They have!" She came back out with a large grapefruit. "I love the kick in these!" She took a big bite out of the grapefruit without even peeling and her face instantly grimaced. "Freaking sour!" she screamed. She stuck out her tongue and tried to rub it off with her hooves. "Bwad Idee," she mumbled past her tongue. "Dass me somefing sweet!" She shouted. Hauberk heard the sound of a scuffle coming from back on the ship, but the captain was talking. Not wanting to seem rude, Hauberk stayed by the captain listening and nodding along. "Hey, Cap'n. If we were to come under attack, what defences does this ship have. I mean I can't see any cannons..."
  19. (OOC: That was the idea! Also Mind's Eye probably isn't going to wake up for anything but somepony screaming in his ear... although I did forget it was morning, so he'll probably just be napping not sleeping. If Wind Runner's too much, tell me and I'll tone her down a bit.) Hauberk jolted forward along with the boat. He turned to the captain concernedly, but the captain didn't seem at all perturbed. "So we've hit open water? Any dangers out here we should be aware of?" Hauberk asked, momentarily distracted from the Captain's story. Wind Runner tapped her chin thoughtfully with the pear, and then took another massive bite out of it. "Ooh! Ooh! So can you make me feel super happy! As in happier than now! Actually, that'd be hard... but I don't want to feel sad. Ooh! Ooh! Make me feel scared, but fun scared. Y'know the funny kind of scared! The one that makes you laugh, not cry. Can you!" Wind Runner garbled through her mouthful of pear. She then noticed another pony approaching the crate. "Ooh! A new pony! Are you Olivia? I think I heard Hauberk call you Olivia? What's your special talent? Is it magic? Mind's Eye is good at magic too, and his magic is really cool. He can make like living dreams and such." Wind noticed Allivia casting hungry looks at the crate of fruit. "Oh where are my manners? Come have some fruit. It's all really juicy and fresh! I don't know how long it'll stay that way though. Unless it's magic fruit. Is it magic fruit? Can you tell if its magic fruit?"
  20. Hauberk couldn't hold back a quick laugh. *It's always a dark and stormy night.* he thought to himself. The captain then reared up and gestured somewhat melodramatically. Hauberk cocked an eyebrow. *I guess all seaponies are storytellers at heart.* Nevertheless, Hauberk was now thoroughly invested in his story. *They really must work.* Despite all his augmentations, Mind's Eye still excelled at one area of magic. Illusion. He could craft entire worlds and enrapture ponies in his thoughts. Unfortunately for him this manifested as a lack of dreams. While he could craft dreams at will, he never experienced them himself. Sure he could create a perfect world for himself, but unlike for his target, the vision for himself was just that, a vision. He created the visual and the rest filled itself in in their heads. His sleep now was dreamless as always. Wind Runner's jaw hung open. "Freaking unbelievable!" she shouted happily before taking a bite out of the second pear. "That raven was totally zoop, zap and zebedee all over the place! Can you do that on ponies? Can you? Ooh! Ooh! Make me do a flip! I love doing flips!"
  21. (OOC: Sorry about taking so long. New Vegas RP is now officially off the ground. It's surprisingly hard to set up an RP and coordinate so many people. I don't know how you do it. Oh and on that vein, could Sigma post soon? Not to rush you, but we're planning on leaving the vault tonight. Oh and your captain has an awesome accent. It's really detailed. Also sorry about he shortness of the post. Mind's Eye is actually asleep, and Hauberk isn't sure on whether there's a story coming or not.) Wind laughed at Raven's frankness. "Not many ponies can. I'll try to slow down for you. I don't really know what a spirit animal is either." Wind took another bite out of the pear, it's juice dribbling down her chin messily. "I just heard that Zebrican's go crazy on 'em." She shrugged and took a final bite before throwing the core overboard. She grabbed a second pear and listened to Raven continue on. "Really? You can, like, make animals do whatever you say? Ooh! Ooh! Make Duri fly up to the crows nest! Wait, that's probably easy. Make him do a flip! And the other thing I said! And then get a grape out of the box and put it on your head! Can you do complex actions like that, because that'd be cool! Mind's Eye snored loudly. It'd take a freight train or something to wake him up after charging his device. Hauberk nodded along. He knew not to push a sailor. If Sailstorm wanted to tell the story, then it was his choice.
  22. (OOC: I think it might be best if I left the robots to fraternise for a bit.) Sketch's internal clock suddenly went off. *The Meeting! I have to be at Pommes Duchesse's in the next ten minutes.* He scrambled outside to the crowd, still a little flushed over his previous accident. "I'm so sorry, but I have a very important meeting to get to. I'll be back in around half an hour. Do whatever you want until I get back. My house is your house as they say." With that Sketch galloped out of the house again and left the robots alone, or so he thought.
  23. I was thinking of doing some character specific events. They'll probably require coordination between us Gm's and that particular character. Also you guys can PM me and Soarin with scenario suggestions if you want. We're going to do a few generic events first to test out how it works. First one'll hopefully be tonight once we have every preparatory post ready.
  24. Hmm... that battle saddle does sure sound handy. I think we may have to use that, unless anypony can think of a different solution. SPECIAL isn't quite necessary, but nonetheless an interesting change. Silenced pistols are always fun. If we ever go to a casino or something we're probably going to be relying on you. Yeah. So we'll wait for people to react to events, but idle chatter posts can be pretty much unlimited. Okay. If you want to submit a quick character app then you can head right through. You get a choice between Wastelander and Vault Dweller. The Vault Dwellers will be leaving tonight, so you have to join today if that's the case. If you join tomorrow then you can play a Wastelander. The choice is yours.
  25. Curse wouldn't let himself panic. They were so close. All he had to do was hold them back. Looks like he'd have to play the victim. "Whoa! Hey! Get offa me! What are you talking about? I just work here! I don't know abut no mare!" Curse shouted loudly. He hoped the red pegasus would hear him. Curse then leant backwards so that he and the mare stumbled backwards and over the threshold of the wing. As soon as he was outside of everypony's vision he pushed his horn to her head and whispered "Sleep." A powerful sleep curse travelled up his horn and into her head that only the most resolute could endure. "This is your last chance," he whispered. "Give into the sleep spell and you can wake up with no memory of what just happened. You'll forget the yellow mare. Everything will be okay again. If you don't, then I'm going to have to get violent."
