I got one for ya'll. What if Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis were both created by Discord during his rein over Equestria? They're both obviously constructs of disharmony in their own ways - Nightmare Moon could easily have been a possessing spirit that took over Luna when she was depressed (and the Elements of Harmony just exorcised her), and what's more chaotic than a super powerful shapeshifter? I think it would be interesting if Nightmare Moon made a return. The spirit possessed Luna one last time, this time through force rather than being able to take over while she was weak (which means internal conflict between Luna and Nightmare). After Luna is possessed and returns to being Nightmare Moon, she goes and finds Chrysalis, and together, the two "Children of Discord" return to unleash their "Father" and bring what's left of the Changeling hoard with them. Evil freakin' trinity. Of course, in the end, I'd also love to see the spirit possessing Luna be driven out as Celestia forces the sun to rise, thus destroying it, Chrysalis be imprisoned below Canterlot Castle where she had once held Cadence, along with the hoard, and then frozen and sealed away (both by magic), and Discord be returned to statue form - but this time, the statue is smashed and the evil trinity defeated once and for all. ...Though that sounds more like a movie plot than even a two-part episode, now that I think about it.

For Thunder Crash, I gotta say Lead or Gold by Running Wild.

Cool ^-^ That will eliminate that little portion. Most naval vessels only fly one flag unless there's a special designation for the ship, and that one flag is typically the national flag. Though there are still unit insignias, but those are fun little things to make.

That would be entirely awesome of you! That's... actually something I've been wondering. Does Equestria have a national flag? I remember seeing tapestries and stuff on the palace in episodes where it was shown... but I can't recall a flag anywhere. o.o

So, I saw the thread for the R.E.A. and I'm curious... is there a Royal Navy? I would assume so considering that water touches most of the continent, but I'm curious about the structure. The army seems to be modernized, but I don't think that would work for the navy, considering the technology level and there being little reason for naval tactics to have changed. I'm just curious though.

Pirates have cannons, combat experience, and live on the sea. <.< Ninjas are just begrudged farmers that had to try and be stealthy because they had no combat experience. =P She really is! ^-^

Kind of. I wanted him to be a captain, but not be the sole pony in charge, hence why he sails under his father's colors as part of his fleet. I also wanted to show that since he's still a young stallion, he's prone to overconfidence and mistakes, and the perfect thing was getting the ship stuck somehow. After that I just had to figure out how he'd get in that situation, and I figured it would happen on his first real mission. For that I just kinda looked at the map and went "Okay, if I was a pirate, where would I raid? An Equestrian city? Possible, but along the coast there's rarely ever something aside from the navy that would impede me, so that's out since I don't want the ship sunk. So what targets would both be rich, possibly get the ship stuck, and not really be cared about that much? Hmmmm... well, sandbars are common in rivers, so something inland along a river. That could get the ship stuck. But what- WAIT! Nobody would care about the Diamond Dogs. They're jerks, and they have tons of gems!" From there I just planned out the larger attack along the three rivers headed toward the lakes, and gave him what should have been the "shortest and safest" route. Basically... I pulled a Gilligan's Island and gave him a "three hour tour". xD

Yeah. The exact location is a bend in the river very near the Moon Palace - it almost points toward it. His ship, The Deceitful Mare, is stuck on a sandbar.
