  1. “Hey Jubilee ! “ Whirlwind greeted happily. The bright pegasus had come back from her mission, entering from the back door of the wagon. Mojo rushed toward her and gave her a hug ; then she proudly announced that she made it without any problems. She flied toward Whirlwind and told her she had found her parents and told them she was fine, no problem. “Thank you” the pink pegasus replied, honestly relieved. “Thank you, really ! They won't worry about me now. I'm glad they know I'm ok. ” It was good to know that the problem was solved ! Well, they would probably ask her a ton of questions tomorrow, and they'll probably be mad at her too, but she could handle it, she guessed … Jubilee landed in a hammock. They well all listening to Mojo now, cramped in the little wagon. The hippie pony was about to tell the story of his cutie mark. He told it with his usual peaceful, calming voice : he had always been a pacific pony, even as a foal, and he gained his cutie mark when he wrote and read out loud a poem about love. Jubilee clapped her hooves together and energetically added that he had a talent for making ponies feel more relaxed. Starflower agreed with Jubilee, and Whirlwind as well. Mojo thanked them all. The rain started to fall harder ; it was nice to hear it drumming against the roof. Whirlwind closed her eyes and listened, drowsing happily in her hammock. She could have fallen asleep, like that … but thunder fell. It fell down to earth with a mighty rumble, scarring the dark skies with its great white light. Thunder ! The pink pegasus raised her head to watch it through the opening in the wagon. Thunder was awesome ! She didn't see Starflower panicking, but she heard Jubilee laughing. What was going on ? Whirlwind turned her head : Starflower released Mojo out of her hug, and was actively denying that she was scared of thunder. Still, the Paint pony she was hugging reassured her well, and it is with a little more confidence and a little less shaking that the nurse returned to her place. “You don't have to be scared of thunder !” Whirlwind started, “it's a lot of light in the middle of a dark, cloudy sky ! You know, the clouds, they're all made of water, so they're surely happy to rain, it's what they are meant for, after all, and when they do thunder, it must means they're really happy ! We're all unhappy when it rains because we're Earth, Sky or Magic ponies and we're not Water ponies, but the clouds must be happy to rain and I'm sure they mean no harm.” The little pink pony concluded her strange explanation with a big smile for Starflower. She probably wasn't very reassuring, but she had good intentions … And then she yawned, closing her eyes, her mouth wide open. “I don't know, what do you want to talk about ?” Whirlwind answered the older unicorn's question, addressing herself to nopony in particular. She was getting too tired to think about something to do.
  2. That's mightily useful. Thank you very much !
  3. ... Rarity is not a donkey
  4. I've read Fallout:Equestria. I'm not so sure about Luna for president ...
  5. Oh I remember when french media related the presidential campaign for the United States ! Fun times. Since they weren't bind by law to be politically neutral on that election, everybody was widely, massively, unequivocally supporting Obama. Around me, people barely knew what was really going on, in term of programs and what both candidates wanted to do for their country or even how does the US democracy works, but everybody was for Obama. It was insane. As for who I want for president for the next elections ... I don't know. Have the presidential campaign even started yet ?
  6. Thank you Angie Cakes ! I'm happy you like her ! ^_^ Bumble Buns is not WIP anymore !
  7. Bumble buns is a pony drawn by Angie Cakes, you can see her here. And you can find Southridge described in Ginger Mint's awesome map of Fillydelphia. I put it in WIP stage just because I'd like to know if Angie Cakes like what I did. Once I know (and if she does) that pony will be done ! But feel free to comment if you want to.
  8. Name: Bumble Buns Sex: Female Age: Young mare Species: Earth Pony Pelt Color: A very light yellow. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Her mane and tail have the color of golden honey, and they curl at the end. Eye Color: Orange Cutie Mark: Three honeycomb cells and a bee. Physique: Bumble Buns is a bit small and a bit plump. Origin: The Saddleveil plains, in a familial bee farm somewhere around Fillydelphia. Roleplay Type: Mane RP Occupation: Bee Keeper Motivation: Bumble Buns loves to take care of her family farm. Likes: Honey, bugs, bees, flowers, and the morning breakfasts with hoof-made pastries and hot chocolate. Dislikes: School, being lonely, bullies and ponies who says she's fat or ugly or mean. Character Summary: In the Saddleveil plains, there were a lot of things to do for a little foal : there were butterflies to observe, grass to roll in, pebbles to collect, flowers to munch, brooks to splash in, and once she was tired enough, Bumble Buns could huddle against her teddy bear close to the fire in the chimney while Mommy made dinner. Life was awesome at the family farm. Life was awesome back there, and life at the residential school of Fillydelphia paled in comparison. Why did she had to go to school ? Her parents said every pony had to, but she hated every minute of it. She hated the grey, morose buildings she lived and worked in. She hated the work the school forced her to do, full of uninteresting, meaningless stuff she had to learn by heart. And the ponies there weren't nice, not one of them. They said nasty things in her back, and they made fun of her, and they giggled, making sure she could hear them without knowing what was going on. They made fun of her name, in the naïve and cruel way only children can be, and they made fun of her because she had no cutie mark, and they thought she was stupid because she came from a farm. The only friend she had was her plushie teddy bear, which followed her everywhere in the bottom of her schoolbag. Life at school was miserable, and she was glad to go back home every weekend, and sad to go back there every sunday night. Years passed on. Bumble Buns grew up, spent wonderful vacations at her house with her family, and lonely days at school. She learned to make pastries with her mom, and she loved to do this, she loved to make bread, brioche, buns, with honey and maple syrup and sugar and butter in it, and she loved the ones with honey most. She gave her pastries to the other ponies at school and they started to become nicer, but she never made friends with any of them ; and the mean bullies there started to say she's fat and ugly, which was especially mean thing to say to a young filly. But was hurt the most was how they rubbed in the fact that, despite not being a foal anymore, she still had no cutie mark. Look at the Blank-Flank ! She have no cutie mark, and she will never have one, and that's because she's nothing special ! They laughed. Bumble Buns wasn't a very happy pony. Her parents were worried about her. They tried to help, but they couldn't do much. They couldn't put her in another school, and they couldn't teach her at the farm all the things a school teach. But they did their best to make her happy. They offered her a lot of toys, they spent a lot of time with her during the week end, they spoiled her a little, and it certainly made the weeks more bearable for the little earth pony. She looked forward to the weekend, and she loved to help her family work at the farm. She woke up and had hot chocolate and pastries, and she could go to the fields with her grandfather and her father and her mother and she helped them a lot, and sometimes she would sleep under a tree when she was tired. And at dinner time they all had a great meal made by her grandmother, with a lot of things she liked in it. It was a fantastic way to spend the day. She even gained her cutie mark by helping her grandfather at the farm. It was a summer day : he let her come with him to take care of the bees, because he had to collect the honey, and he said she was old enough to come with him now, if she behaved well. She did her best to behave well, and he showed her how the bees lived in their hives, and he explained how they made the honey, and he showed her the honeycomb, and she could even watch him extract the honey with the strange machine that extracted the honey. It was awesome ! Then she helped him put the honey into honey jars and pots, and later in the day they both realized she had a cutie mark on her flank, with three honeycombs and a bee. Bumble Buns was thrilled, she had her cutie mark, and she had an especially cool one ! All the family was very happy, and that night they had a big cake with a lot of honey in it. The little earth pony spent the rest of the summer learning a lot of things about bees and honey and beekeeping, and it was the best summer of her life. Eventually came the day where she had to go back to school, but it wasn't as dreadful as before. Even if the other ponies weren't nice, she didn't care, she had a cutie mark, and a goal too, she wanted to be a bee keeper ! Bumble Buns wasn't “nothing special” anymore. School still wasn't fun, but she studied harder than before, because she wanted to learn all there was to learn about running a farm. She learned a lot. She learned mathematics, and accounting stuff, and how to sell her honey pots and make a profit so she could live on farming. She went out of school and visited Fillydelphia, too : she never took the time to get out and visit it before. It wasn't such a bad city, even if the countryside was better. She especially liked Southridge, because of all the different cultures there, and their cooking ! She tried many restaurants, and she ate buffalo food, zebra food, griffin food, and discovered lots of different recipes from all around Equestria. It was there that she celebrated the day she finished school ! And she ate and drank so much, she felt sick and had a mighty headache the following morning. But she didn't care, because she was going home for good now, even if it meant an uncomfortable, bumpy trip back with a nasty hangover. She now lives as a happy and cheerful young mare, taking care of a bee keeping farm in the Saddleveil Plains, just like she always wanted to. She sometimes go to Fillydelphia, to sell her honey and honey products, or just to spend a week end in the city. And if sometimes she feels lonely because she doesn't have any real friends, she can still sit close to the fire in the chimney with her teddy bear while her mom make the dinner.
  9. This thread needs to be updated ! Here's a cake I like to do for my morning breakfast. But it's a cake, so it really is eaten whenever cakes are meant to be eaten, not during the morning like me. I just have weird eating habits. It's also easy to do, which is good because I'm lazy. Le Quatre-Quarts Breton ! (literally, the breton (from Bretagne, a region of France) "four quarters". Named this way because it have equal part of all its ingredients.) You'll need : Four eggs Their weight in : flour, sugar, butter (salted butter is good, otherwise you can add a pinch of salt). Baking soda (I think that's the name in english, the white powder that makes your cakes rise when they are cooked) (there are recipes without it, and I think the original recipe doesn't use it, but I'm too lazy to do so. ) Preheat the oven at 180°C (yeah I don't know how that translate to a conventional oven. I just put mine between the 5 and the 6.) Melt the butter and let it cool. Beat the eggs and the sugar together. Mix the flour with the baking soda and the salt if you put salt. Make a "hole" in the middle of the flour, put the eggs, mix (I use a whip ? I think that's the english name but I'm not sure. It this kind of tool.) until it's homogeneous. Add in the cold, molten butter and mix again until it's homogeneous. Prepare a cake mould (or whatever you bake your cakes in), you know, grease it with butter and then add flour, the usual stuff, the point is that the inside have a light cover of butter and flour so that once baked the cake will get out of the mould thingie. You probably know how to do it and I can't explain how to do it in english. Anyways ! Do so. Put the cake in the oven. Wait about 45 minutes I guess. The cake is ready when, when you put a knife into it, the blade gets out clean. If not it ain't ready yet. If the cake gets too dark you can cover it with aluminum foil and reduce the oven temperature, as it's supposed to have a light brown crust and not a thick black one. Though it never really happened to me (if it burned, it burned, that ok I just scrape the burnt part ...) so I don't know if that really works. Wait till your cake cools a bit and eat it. Some says it's better to wait a long time, like a day, but I like my cake still hot. I eat it with apricot jelly. It can goes with a lot of other things or you can eat it like this too. Voila ! I love it, my girlfriend hates it. If you try to do it I hope you'll like it too.
  10. Well it's just on the introduction page. I registered because I was curious, and there wasn't the same music after that, just the background melody. The game itself is ... like every other flash games. Amusing for five minutes. But it's fun !
  11. HIIII ! Welcome here ! Where does your nickname comes from ?
  12. It got surprisingly colder here in paris, around 19°C (that's 66°F my computer says). We still don't have much clouds, though it rained like mad a few days ago.
  13. HIIII ! Welcome to Canterlot !
  14. Her deliveries over, Moondrop the albinos unicorn was trotting tranquilly through the streets of Canterlot. She was wearing a wide hat and a long mantle, as she always did when she was going outside, for fear for her health, and, following a recent trend in her attitude, her clothing was not drab-looking and monochrome but instead a vibrant collection of colors. Pastels greens, pinks, oranges, yellow and blues swirled and melted into each other, as if the waves of colors moved by themselves in an everlasting whirlpool. It was quite showy. She had brought her sunglasses as well, pink-tinted circles with a silver frame, but was wearing her normal glasses, as it was not morning yet. It was the very end of the night. The stars were disappearing and the moon was about to sink into the horizon, giving her place to the sun. Moondrop liked to live during the night. She couldn't really go outside during the best part of the day because of her condition, but the night was much more gentle to her skin, and as a result often woke up early, before sunrise, or went out late, after sunset, when she needed to get out. Today was one of those days : she had delivered a package full of toys, wooden ponies she crafted and painted by herself, to one of the shop she had a contract with, and she had did so early to benefit from the gentle light of the late night. Now she was heading to one of Canterlot's central parks, to eat her breakfast with the sunrise before heading home. She liked early mornings for their calm. It was one of the rare moments where the whole city was asleep, void of any ponies ; and watching the sunrise from the park was watching the city waking up with the sun as well. The streets would slowly fill themselves with ponies going to work, the shops would open their front doors, movement and activity would start over again, but everything and everypony would remain quiet for a moment, as if they were not fully awoken yet. It was a spectacle Moondrop enjoyed a lot. It also meant she avoided the evening crowds during sunset, and she enjoyed that as well, as crowds still made her a little bit shy and nervous. Today, however, she would not be alone to watch the sunset. The park she walked in hosted another pony, a light blue pony with a brown mane, and an enormous, impressive music instrument, with a large tube that swirled around her like a snake around its prey. The unicorn stared at the tuba for a moment, wondering what kind of sound such a thing would make. She was getting curious about the other pony as well. Why was she up so early ? That instrument didn't looked like something one would play at dusk. Maybe she was on her way to a concert in some remote place of the city ? It seemed unlikely since the earth pony mare wasn't in a hurry. Maybe she just liked seeing sunsets, Moondrop wondered. She slowly walked toward the stranger pony. “Hey, hello.” It was a simple greeting, said in a gentle, soft voice. Moondrop wasn't a very loud pony. She gave a small smile to the musician, looking at her with her big, white eyes in their big, round glasses.
  15. Hi ; I'm not much of an artist, but I really love the picture of Zecora you did. It's one of my favorites so far !
  16. Ha, this game ! The music is hypnotizing, and I love the name generator xD
  17. You're a horrible french teacher
  18. Everypony chatted for a while, but eventually it was time for Jubilee to go. Whirlwind waved her hoof at her fellow pegasus, wishing her good luck and asking her to take care of herself. Starflower raised her concerns, but Jubilee waved them off - she was quite certain she could do it by herself ! The older unicorn still floated a pair of goggles to her, and off went the little pegasus. It was about to rain. Mojo the hippie pony said they were all fine under the roof of his wagon, and he started to hang the hammocks and to organize the place so they all could sleep safely. The older nurse pony was surprised to learn that they were going to sleep together, and voiced it out loud. Whirlwind giggled (she certainly wasn't scared !) while Mojo quickly defended himself of having any ill thoughts. Starflower did a few threats, but the tension defused with a few jokes and soon every pony was back to laughing again. "Oh, you two are the best ! " The pink pegasus started, before collapsing into giggles with them. They were quite fun to watch, she thought, with all their bickering and their jokes. She had a cute, high pitched laugh, and she did her best not to fall off her hammock. It started to rain. A few droplets at first, turning into a serious downpour in a matter of seconds. The whole sky became grey with rainwater, and inside the wagon the ponies could hear the sound of the rain falling against the roof, like the thunder of a thousand hooves. "That's a cool way to get a cutie mark," The little pony stated to the nurse once every pony calmed down, trying to get back in the discussion. She sat on her hammock, looking at the two other ponies in the wagon. "hey, how did you get yours Mojo ? "
  19. Besides, it's cruel to eat Mr.Turnip too. He have been a very good friend to Pinkie.
  20. Ditzy Doo for me ! I love every single personality the fans gives her, from the goofy pony to the handicapped but very brave mom. Plus I think she's adorably cute
  21. HIIII ! Welcome here ! You make some pretty original introduction posts !
  22. HIIII ! Welcome to the Canterlot forums !
  23. HIIII ! Welcome to the forums !
  24. Oh my goodness, that french version is just awful ! Hahaha, it's sad that they butchered the traduction so much, considering how much work was put in the original. Anyways I think that if my little ponies come to France it won't sound like this. I hope.
