This is not uncommon for many modern country music singers such as Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, etc. One of the most interesting of these cases was legendary country music star Mel Tillis. He has a very noticable natural stutter when he speaks, but NOT when he SINGS! Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) also has a very different speaking voice from his 'singing' voice too!

I LOVE this idea! If this becomes a Crossover RP, I have two additional characters who could be of great assistance to the cause!

I would like to add that the Character Summary for Granny Smith posed quite a challenge. I had to be cautious not to get into 'too much detail' about her past, especially concerning how Big Mac, Applejack and Applebloom fit into it. From Season One, there is NO backstory concerning Applejack's parents, so I didn't want to speculate too much on them. Rumor has it that all of the Original Six's parents will make an appearance next season, so I can't exactly 'kill them off' or completely ignore their existance. Best I can figure is, Big Mac, Applejack and Applebloom love their grandma so much that their parents allow them to live with her on the farm (but I could be wrong). Notice how in the first episode, during the Apple Family Reunion, Applejack did NOT introduce Twilight Sparkle and Spike to her mom and dad. I did the best I could but would welcome any and all suggestions from the mods/help staff on ways to 'fine tune' it or make it better. Thanks!

As a foal, she was constantly teased by her classmates because of her strange name. This only made Granny Smith more determined to be the very best pony she could be! When the filly became the youngest pony to ever win the Blue Ribbon at the Annual Ponyville Fair for her apple pie, her cutie mark appeared. The Blue Ribbon win earned Granny a lot of respect, from her foal classmates as well as the entire Ponyville community. Granny also acted quite mature for her age, developing the unique ability to listen and counsel other ponies, regardless of their ages. Granny married young and had many foals. Sadly, she outlived her husband by many decades. She thus became the matriarch of the entire Apple family clan in her senior years (being the oldest living member of the family) and in time, became the pseudo guardian of Big MacIntosh, Applejack and Applebloom who live with her on the farm. Since her advanced age has caught up with her, she can no longer applebuck in the field. She works on the farm as best she can with her bad hip and diminishing mental capacity. Next to the two Pony Princesses, Granny Smith may be THE oldest living pony in all of Equestria Personal Appeal: I realize that Granny Smith isn't the most popular character on the show, but I would like the opportunity to demonstrate that she's not just the helpless, clueless senior citizen she's portrayed as in the cartoon. I'm not saying I want to RP her as some sort of senior citizen superpony who can gallop for miles, leap over tall buildings with a genius mind or other stuff like that. But at the same time, I believe Granny Smith can share her decades of wisdom and common horse sense with the good ponies of Equestria. After all, it takes a LOT of brains to help raise and nurture three grandchildren all by herself. In the cartoon, Granny Smith has shown the ability to walk to Ponyville before (as seen in 'Griffin the Brush Off') and has appeared a number of times without her walker. Granted, her physical abilities are very limited and old age does affect things like speech and short term memory from time to time, still I believe in her own little way, Granny Smith can be a helpful, useful and productive character in the world of Equestria

Thought I read somewhere here that there was an idea to have a GGG after-party (sort of like the way the Original Six meet at Pony Joe's) in the immediate future. Did that idea ever get anywhere? The reason I ask is that my adopted unicorn Starflower was at the GGG and would certainly want to appear at any potential after party (if it were to occur).

Walking along the sidewalk was a light blue unicorn mare with a flowing purplish mane and tail. She was intrigued by the lovely music she heard in the air. Her orange Star Anise pod cutie mark shone brightly as she slowly walked over to where Fox was playing. The stethoscope around her neck swayed as she moved with the music. The music brought back recent memories, that special night at the Grand Galloping Gala where she shared a dance with a griffin named Alexander Blackwing. Starflower was delighted to be reminded of that wonderful time in her life. This was turning out to be a great vacation in Trottingham already! "You play very well, young lady" Starflower said as the older mare placed a few coins in the open guitar case.

This is a very interesting character, though she has a very sad story. Can a pony receive a cutie mark for something that pony dislikes? That'll be an intriguing question for the mods to address.

She was flying slalom style in the clouds, remembering her recent childhood. Her name is Julibee, and as a foal, her parents had pushed her into Flight School, wanting her to someday be a candidate for the Wonderbolts team. She thought about all the hours and hours she spent practicing, but in her heart of hearts, she wanted to be an entertainer, like her idol, the famous singer Sapphire Shores. It took courage for her to stand up to her demanding parents and tell them of her dream of stardom. Now she was a graduate of a Musical Arts Academy and taking any kind of singing/musical jigs she can get hoping one day for her 'big break' to come. As she flew, doing barrel rolls in the sky, the young Pegasus filly sang. 'Sailing sailing, through the cloudless sky, With my wings, amazing things, I'm doing while I fly! Sailing, sailing, through the air I go! Having fun, and when I'm done, I'm set for another show!' She was beginning to sing the next chorus when she saw a familiar looking red rocket soaring in the distance. 'Fireworks? This early in the day? Wait a minute! That's a flare! My friend Mojo's in trouble!' Back in the field, the kind Paint stallion smiled at Whirlwind. 'No trouble at all, love! What kind of a gentlepony would I be if I didn't offer you some nourishment? It's the way of hospitality for us free spirits, though most ponies call others like me 'hippies.' Crazy stunts, huh? Reminds me of my best friend, someone I met a few years ago when she crash landed in a haystack on my family's farm. She's a Pegasus, like you. Jubilee's her name, and she only flies for fun now. She wanted to become famous in Equestria someday. She and I are kindred spirits, I suppose. Oh, to answer your question, I not only sell food but I also sell hoofmade crafts and art. I make things like shag rugs, lava lamps, mood bracelets, pop art, paintings, lots of groovy stuff like that. When you're up to it, I'll gladly give ya the grand tour of..' 'HEY MOJO! WAS THAT ONE OF YOUR DISTRESS FLAIRS?' Jubilee called down as the white filly came in for a perfect landing. 'WINGS!' he said, turning towards her. 'Glad ya saw it! I want ya to meet Whirlwind, Whirlwind, this is..' 'Jubilee Flyer! The next big name in Equestria!' the young filly bragged. 'I dance, I sing, I can play almost any instrument! I do weddings, election rallies, parties, any event any time!' 'Look Wings, my new friend here needs help. Could ya fly off and fetch a doctor?' 'You betcha! Like your daddy always says, 'when some pony calls for help..' 'Drop everything and come a-runnin'! Thanks Wings, please hurry!' 'Gotcha Mojo, I'll be back, Whirlwind!' As Jubilee soared back into the sky, in a villa outside of Hoofington, seated alone at an outdoor café was a light blue furred Unicorn who was nibbling on a daisy and daffodil sandwich. Her flowing purplish mane and tail fluttered in the breeze that swayed the stethoscope she wore around her neck. Her name was Starflower, a unicorn nurse that was very well known in the region. The mind of the older unicorn mare was a million miles away at the moment. She was daydreaming about that fabulous night at the Grand Galloping Gala, where she danced with a charming griffin named Alexander Blackwing. She remembered the music, the lights, looking deeply into his eyes and then.. her concentration was broken by shouting from above. 'EMERGENCY!' Jubiliee shouted as she hovered over the villa. 'PEGASUS DOWN! NEED ASSISTANCE! IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE?' Starflower smiled at the young filly in flight. Even though she was on vacation now, the unicorn mare lived to help others. She always carried her black bag with her in case of emergencies, and this certain qualified. 'I'm a nurse!' Starflower shouted, observing that the blonde maned Pegasus was shouting so loud, she couldn't hear her calling. 'EXCUSE ME MISS! I AM A NURSE!' Again seeing that she wasn't heard by the high flying newcomer, the tall unicorn used her horn magic to move a one large and two smaller planks from a nearby lumber pile into the air, forming a wooden 'arrow' in the air pointing down at her. Jubilee instantly spotted the makeshift sign and flew down towards the waiting unicorn. 'You're a doctor?' the younger filly asked. 'I'm a nurse, Starflower's the name and..' 'Starflower? THE Starflower? Of course you are, I can tell by the cutie mark! Follow me! My friend is tending to a sick Pegasus over in a field!' 'I'll do my best to keep up, young lady. I don't have wings, but I can move fast when there's a crisis!' Starflower said, tossing some coins on the table to pay for her meal before galloping out of the villa, levitating her black bag with her and she traveled. 'Hurry!' Jubilee called out repeatedly as she flew above her. 'I can barely, keep up. I'm not as young as I used to be. Time to try some magic of my own,' Starflower muttered as her horn began to glow. Meanwhile, Mojo remained at Whirlwind's side. 'Relax, Whirlwind, my pal Jubilee won't let us down. Betcha she'll have some pony here before you can say Jack..' As he spoke, Starflower teleported behind him. 'Robinson. Far out!' Mojo spoke, watching a dizzy Starflower staggering and shaking her head to get her bearings. 'Whoa!' the tall unicorn mare shouted. 'I'm a little rusty with that spell.' 'Hello miss! You alright?' 'Yes, I'm fine now. I'm Nurse Starflower. A Pegasus told me about your situation.' 'Patient's right over here, doc,' Mojo said, pointing towards Whirlwind. Immediately, Starflower knelt down beside her for a closer look. 'Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. My name is Starflower and I'm here to help. How are you feeling now?' 'I'm back, Mojo!' Jubilee shouted as she landed. 'Hey lady, how did you get here ahead of me?' 'Quiet Wings, Starflower is talking to Whirlwind now.'

In school, he'd often daydream about being a Western type hero, galloping to the rescue of ponies in danger and solving mysteries. While remaining on his parents apple farm, he read an ad in the local newspaper about a group of ponies seeking volunteers to establish a new community in the wilderness, a place they would call Appleoosa. Silverstar jumped at the opportunity and soon joined the herd of prospective pioneer ponies. Thanks to the novels he had read and his experience on the family apple farm, the light brown pony was much the expert about what pioneer life would be like. Leaving the family apple farm, Silverstar became one of the leaders of the first wagon train to arrive in the Appleoosa area. Thanks to his efforts, the town was soon built and the first apple orchard was planted. The grateful citizens of the new community rewarded his tireless devotion to the town by electing him Sheriff. At last! The moustached stallion was living his dream! His skilled leadership helped Appleoosa weather the Buffalo Crisis and after the Great Compromise was reached, he helped the town maintain good relations with their buffalo neighbours.

Ok, new tatic. Since my app for the Pegasus Jubilee hasn't drawn a single comment and this one is more 'active', I've decided to shift Jubilee to 'WIP' mode and elevate THIS app to FINAL status. I need both of these characters for a RP I am currently in, but it would seem that THIS app is closer to approval than Jubilee. I now await the decision of the mods.....

Mojo talked to Whirlwind as he started the small fire and began to brew the tea. "Well miss, I was born and raised on me family's communal farm not far from here! Me mum and dad taught me how to create and appreciate art as well as how to use me mind to invent things when the need arose. Loved living and working on the farm, but I began to want to see the world! One day, when I was a young colt, I heard an explosion in the sky and a grand rainbow over the horizon! It was then I made up me mind, I was going to build a peddler's wagon and go off to sell goods and meet new ponies! At first, me mum and dad objected, but over time, I won'm over to me way of thinking! So here it is! Built this wagon with my dad and rode off! In fact, Whirlwind, you're the first pony I've seen since I left home! It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, of course I wish the circumstances were better. Ah! The tea's done!" Mojo carefully pours the pink Pegasus a cup of tea and gives it to her. "There ya go, love! Where are me manners? Would you like something to eat? Got plenty of fresh veggies in me wagon! Carrots, celery, beets, lettuce, corn! Just name it, and I'll fetch it for ya!" The Paint Stallion looks off in all directions. "No pony's in sight yet. Hope somepony's spotted the flare. Alrightie, I told ya about me, now, let's hear all about you!"

"There there now, Whirlwind, rest easy," Mojo said softly, trying to reassure the pink Pegasus that he was someone willing to help her. "Try not to dwell on the past. So you've just got out of your casts and decided to see what you could do. Not a thing wrong with that, love. If we never try, how can we know if we can succeed? I admire your courage, miss. Good thing I spotted you in this field. I'll go get me first aid kit and see what I can do to help." Mojo quickly trotted back to his wagon, picked up a first aid kit with his teeth and brought it over to her. "If your wings are sore, perhaps I can put them in a crude splint to relieve part of the pressure. As for being tired, I do have a herbal tea me mum used to make for me when I was a wee nipper. It seems to give me a shot of energy when I need it, have some in my wagon I could brew for you." Mojo searched the first aide kit and smiled. "I'm gonna need some help caring for you, Whirlwind. Don't ya fret, I won't leave your side. With this flare, hopefully I can summon some more ponies to help us. Just need to move a short distance away, be right back." Mojo trotted a safe distance away from the wagon and Whirlwind to prepare the flare. Before he left home, his parents gave him a small number of these flares to use as a 'distress signal' when needed. The Paint stallion knew he didn't have the strength to move the young Pegasus, nor did he have the precise medical knowledge to treat her condition. He quickly launched the red flare into the sky. He hoped that somepony, ANYPONY, would spot it and come to aide them. After the launch, Mojo quickly trotted back over to Whirlwind. "I'm back, miss. I hope my flare will summon more ponies. While we're waiting, is there anything else I can do for you, to make you more comfy?"

Well, in the meantime, I actually found an old pic of Starflower and through trial and error in the MLP char generator, came up with a pic that more closely resembles her. Also, edited the bio to include the Star Anise pod cutie mark in it. UPDATE Just got the word, Mudbug no longer has that pick of Starflower.

Here is the second of two unlikely 'visitors' to Equestria Pony Related Character - Crossover Name: Silver Sex: Male Age: Stallion Species: Alicorn (originally a cybernetic horse) Pelt Color: Silver in color, metallic in texture with black hooves Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Blue and 'dreadlock' in design for both mane and tail Eye Color: Blue Cutie Mark: A bar of silver Physique: Larger than a normal pony but smaller than Princess Celestia Origin: Colmaton, California (built in Chicago) Roleplay Type: Crossover Occupation: Companion/Assistant to Texas Tilly Motivation: 'To adapt to life as a pony in Equestria while protecting his master Texas Tilly' Likes: Helping others, being useful Dislikes: His new limitations, not being able to calculate a way to get himself and Tilly back to Colmaton Character Summary: Silver was built with highly advanced technology to be both a mount and assistant to Matilda Cody, a.k.a. Texas Tilly, a masked registered superhero in the anthromorphic universe of Colmaton. In all mannerisms, Silver was programmed to behave like a regular horse except that his computerized mind allowed him to speak, think and reason. One day while pursuing the archvillain Dr. Brambleberry (a former MLP toy come to life) Silver and Texas Tilly fell into a magical trap. The 'trap' not only transported them to the universe of Equestria, it changed their anthro bodies into 'pony' forms. Silver suddenly found himself as an Alicorn, a winged unicorn, in a modified version of his original metal body. His power system had been converted to a solar design so he has a fairly consistent supply of energy. Although he no longer had access to his 'heavy weapons' systems (side saddle missiles, bombs, jet hooves for flight, etc), Silver still retained his ability to shoot laser and anti-gravity beams from his eyes. He has also mastered using his new metallic wings for flight. His unicorn 'magic' from his horn is limited to telekinesis (like the 'normal' Equestrian unicorns can do). All of the rest of his internal computer circuitry is intact, so Silver has the ability to scan large areas, gather facts and do complex computations. He also retained his abilities to generate force fields and holographically projected illusions. As he was in the Colmaton universe, Silver is also 'self aware' which means he has the capacity to display and experience emotions and feelings. Shortly upon her arrival, a flash flood threatened Ponyville. Texas Tilly and Silver used their abilities to help save the town and rescue stranded ponies. Princess Celestia herself came to thank the duo for their efforts and then took them aside to talk. She informed them that she KNEW how they got to Equestria and the entire story prior to their arrival. Unfortunately, the Princess also informed them that she did not have the magical powers to send them back to their own universe (or change their bodies back to 'normal' either). This left Texas Tilly and Silver with no other choice than to try to adapt to their new surroundings as best they could while Princess Celestia would continue searching for a way to use her magic to reverse the effects of Dr. Brambleberry's magical spell. Now Silver travels with his master Texas Tilly all over Equestria doing odd jobs to earn enough money to live on and make friends along the way. Since there is no 'high tech' to be spoken of in Equestria, Silver must be careful not to overtax his internal circuitry and parts since there would be no way of replacing them should they malfunction or wear out. In the back of his cybernetic mind, Silver feels guilty because for all of his vaunted computing abilities, he has not formulated a way to return himself and Tilly back to their own universe. Silver is also concerned that he and Texas Tilly may not be able to simply 'blend in' the normal life of Equestria.

With no firearms in this universe, Tilly only has her own natural abilities and those of her cybernetic partner Silver to rely on.

I understand that, but I can't draw the original Starflower design. Viewed a 'starflower pod' on the net, and I knew there was no way I could draw it. With my limited artistic abilities, the white pill was the best I could do without making it look horrible. Couldn't find the original pic that went with this character. If I could 'adopt' it too, then we could keep the original cutie mark.
