Hi there, welcome to Canterlot! I'm sure you'll enjoy it here as much as we do! I don't role-play all that much, but from what I've seen, Canterlot might be one of the best in the west. I bet you do a great job at role-play too! You're a gamer? What's your platform? Favorite genre?

If somebody needs help I'll get them the help, but I try not to make things personal. I suppose I didn't choose the right wording. Derp moment.

I'm sorry, but take a look at some of these fine pieces of literature. They must feel one so welcome and wanted. If you aren't going to go big, then go home. See, a welcoming video. That's all we'd need. If you don't have access to it, you probably have access to their pic. THREE words. It only takes three words for a welcome to be so much better. Names and timestamps have been edited to protect identities. Really, I don't like to complain, but you all have such an amazing gallery section, surely some of you are wordsmiths. I like to make a nice welcome. It attracts users, and when they grow up to be big and strong users, you have someone who looks and says, "hey, there's that guy who bothered with grammar," or "hey, she posted a really cool vid!"

Welcoming posts. I do NOT have a solution for the following, so don't expect to see one. YOU may not even see the problem I have. The posts that welcome new users are severly lacking any actual content. Most of them are cookie-cutter and not even the good ones with a cute video or something. A good post to welcome a new user should (in my honest opinion) address points the new user made in his or her original post. If THEIR post lacks suitable content, then you could go out of your way and ask them about any hobbies or the like. It's called a WELCOMING PLAZA. To make somebody feel welcome you need to make it look as though you care, and asking somebody about themselves is one of the best ways to do that. So I'm asking people to just give some longer and better posts when welcoming new users. It gives them a better first impression of the forum and it makes them more likely to stay and become a productive user of the community. I know I'm a new user here, but this is a problem I've seen. I think the Plaza should be the kindest, selfless, and most inviting place on the forum, because it's usually the first place a new member will see.

True, true. The main majority of bronies do not support those however. I can tell you I jumped many people over the 'net because they're going into a place and preaching ponies when we're chatting about Dr. Who or something. Put in your got-dang siggie if you must have MLP appear in every post. It's like the mormons who come knocking on your door. If we wanted to hear about MLP or the mormon religion then we'd come search for the info. Just because somebody likes a show doesn't make them better or worse than somebody, unless it American Idol (minus the finals and auditions, those are funny), Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and Jersey Shore. I like your friends take on it. I do sometimes think people take it a little too far and become a bit occult-like and instead don't like the show but like the attention. Personally, the show is mediocre. I said it. I mean, really. Look at the plots. It's all been done before, but this time it's being done with bright, colorful, talking PONIES! The animation isn't always smooth, and sometimes it seems a tad ridiculous how they could miss an obvious solution. The only reason why I watch is it's something to get me away from the cruel world and it's better than a lot of things on today.

I haven't been here too long, obviously, however, I think the community is still pretty small and pure at the moment, so I suppose you don't have much to fear when it comes to ridicule. So, you're on Xbox? Darn, I'm on the PS3. What kind of games do you play? Quoted for convenience. Fixed?
