I don't care how irrelevant this status is to anything either... I'm always late on posting my reactions to stuff.

I don't believe the uproar was because it happened. It was more like "Too soon Hub! You Ascended her too soon!<squash>"

People expected something like this to be reserved for grand-end-of-the-generation-finale.

Also, the show lack the main villain right now (yes, we still have Chrysalis but she was dealt with a comics recently). And we all know that good villain makes half of the fun.
