1. Alright, now I just need to get my bonbons, and get out of here...

Static Arc had just thrown a bag of bits and requested a simple bag of bonbons. He would have asked for more, or actually bothered to ask for a price and take out the bits need, or even made simple small talk, if it wasn't for his mess up.

Static Arc always took things too seriously, and something silly like eavesdropping on other ponies or laughing at a joke, he almost always warped it into something negative in his mind. He thought about how silly he looked, worrying about nothing in reality, and the fact the he didn't deserve this mare's kindness and positive spirit. He just wanted to leave and forget this entire encounter.

Static woke up out of his trance to a sound of bits being moved. He looked up momentarily to Bon Bon fishing through his bit bag and taking out only a small amount of money from it. Now Static was just being lazy and rude. He wished he would have asked for the price or a bag of bonbons, but he didn't, and now the two mares probably thought he was the rudest stallion in Ponyville right now.

    "One large bag coming up!"

Static noticed the cheeriness in Bon Bon's voice, and knew she was trying to cheer him up, but it only made him even more angry at himself and wanting to be out of this situation. Static knew that he was only getting pitied on by these two mares. He must have looked so pathetic right now, but Static didn't care. In a moment, he would be flying up to Cloudsdale, and both Bon Bon and himself would forget this ever happened. After all, he was just another customer to the friendly bonbon salesmare. Nothing more. All of these thoughts Static had brought him close to tears, the self loathing and lack of self esteem affecting him.

Static heard a sound on the table and looked up to see a large bag of bonbons sitting there, along with the bright smile and glow of Bon Bon, which Static couldn't bring himself to look at. It just made him feel more empty and sad. Static just continued to stare at the ground, not sure what to do or say. He scuffed his hooves on the ground and just waited for something to happen. He was paralyzed with the fear of doing something wrong. Bon Bon then leaned a little closer to Static over the table.

"And getcherself up! Stop being such a wet soap. No one's upset or nothin' 'cept ya and it ain't a thin' ta worry yerself up 'bout,"

Static almost laughed at that. Of course she would say she wasn't upset with him. She wouldn't just go up and say that he was the worst pegasus she ever met, she was too nice for that. And besides, why scare her customer off like that when he was right there, willing to pay for her chocolate. Static didn't believe it though, as his own thoughts had over-shadowed Bon Bon's words.

Then, just out of the blue, the unicorn that Static had seen talking to Bon Bon decided to speak up at this time, and Static wasn't sure where she was when Static stepped up to the stand.

"She's right. We don't mind and it's nopony's fault. Cheer up! It's far too nice a day to be so down!"

That's it. That's enough. He couldn't stand being told to "cheer up" when he didn't even know how to in the first place. How was he supposed to "cheer up" when everything he did, he thought it was a crime against Equestria and everypony living in it? How could he "cheer up" when there was two mares standing in front of him with no worries or problems in their lives, when Static had them almost everyday? He went home everyday and thought about how much his life was so dull, how he couldn't just go up to a pony and make friends with them, as the two mares probably did that every day. He wanted to though, oh how much he did, but it always ends up with him looking like a fool in his mind, and all he thinks about is getting out of the situation and fly back up to his safe haven.

As Static thought about all of this, tears were streaming down his face. He was a lost cause, incapable of doing anything right, squandering the time and friendliness of the ponies in front of him.

All Static could do was mutter out a feeble, sorrow-filled "I'm so sorry", and snatched up his bag of bonbons and bit pouch, threw them in his saddle bags, and prepared himself to take flight.

  2. As Static greeted the Griffin, he stepped back and waited for his answer, he felt a little... intimidated. Mabye a little afraid for his life. He really had no idea what Griffins did. Did they eat ponies? Do they live in packs and stalk down their prey? Were more of his brethern behind the bushes, waiting to ambush Static? He never really bothered to read up what they were really like. Were they even able to speak modern Equestrian?

Static continued to wait for a response, looking behind his back for any other Griffins, but didn't hear any. Were Griffins deaf, or was he just simply ignoring him? Before Static considered speaking again in a more louder tone of voice, suddenly Gerrard turned around and spoke to Static, scanning over the pegasus with a grin that could kill.

"Hello Static, I am working on your pipe systems, making sure that all my ponies are watered. I wouldn't want them to be thirsty. Gerrard Grayfeather, honored to meet you Static,"

Static Arc now felt a little more uneasy than he felt before talking to Gerrard. He could almost hear a little bit of sarcasm as the Griffin acknowledged Static. Static watched in stunned silence as Gerrard picked up a wrench, and twirled it around of his talons. Static sweared that he felt his heartbeat. All other sounds were drowned out as Gerrard spun his wrench. It felt like time was going at a crawl.

Around and around it goes. When it stops, nopony-

Suddenly, Gerrard pocketed the wrench into his bag, discarding as if it was nothing special.

Static didn't feel right anymore. This griffin was both mysterious, and really creepy. It felt as if the Griffin would turn around and chuck Static across the rest of Ponyville. Boy was this guy intimidating.

But nevertheless, he was going to break this guys tough exterior and get him to be his friend, even if it ends up with Static breaking all of his bones.

Static blinked his eyes, coming back from his state of paralysis, and quickly tried to think of something to say before losing the Griffin's interest.

"What are you up to? You seem rather... blue, what is bothering you?"

The griffin threw a punch to the pony's side, chuckling like he told a brilliant joke or something. Mabye this guy was finally taking a shine to Static!

"Ahaha... Umm, good one. And, I'm fine. Totally fine. Owww..."

This guy's punches really deal a dent...

Static then thought he was being too soft for this guy. He seemed like one tough Griffin, so mabye he should try that approach. Try the cool colt approach. he had to make this guys friend, no matter how scary he was.

"I mean, I'm awesome man, I'm cool, you know? Uh, you want to do something rad, like do a few awesome flying tricks or a race or something, umm, dude?"

  3. -Static Arc-

Another day, another trip to Ponyville.

Static Arc found himself saying that too often. Too often was it that he flew through the cool air towards a safe spot in Ponyville's town square. Too often he would travel through the market place and get himself in a crazy predicament.

And he didn't mind at all. He liked a little change of pace from the norm. He couldn't help but like interacting with other ponies and hearing their stories, having something to do other than checking out wares for a few hours, and then head for home in Cloudsdale.

Static was starting to like meeting new ponies, but couldn't go beyond that. He couldn't get himself to befriend others, or ask a cute mare out. But today will be different. He will try to his hardest to make friends with the first creature he sees.

As Static landed down onto a clear area in the town square, he looked at his surroundings. A few ponies were hurrying about their day, either with somepony or with heavy saddlebags. A modest number of ponies were standing about, going about their buisness. A perfect chance to try a friendly chat.

Static then proceeded to close his eyes on the spot, and spun around in a circle, slowly so he didn't get dizzy. He was planning that the first creature he laid eyes on, he would try to talk to them and be their friend. And that was that.

Static spun for a few seconds, most likely getting a few odd looks, and stopped on the spot. He then shot his eyes wide open and landed them on the first po-

Woah, no way! I didn't know they came here!

Now, even though Static lives in Cloudsdale, the land of flying things, he never met a Griffin before, not even in school as a colt. He read about them in his history books, about living in a far off land away from Equestria, but he never knew they would come here, of all places!

Static Arc was looking at a a black coated Griffin, with silvery head feathers. He looked as tall as Static was, and it looked like he was working on something.

He was observing what looked like a set of blueprints while sitting down at one of Ponyville's many picnic tables. He looked hard at work as he scribbled down notes on top of the papers.

Static continued to stare in awe at the beast, not sure what to do now. Now, Static wasn't one to back down from a challenge, especially one he gave himself. Even though this was much different than a pony, and probably something he didn't want to mess with, Static took a few steps towards the Griffin anyway, deadset on making this griffin his friend.

When Static was just behind the Griffin, unsure if the creature knew if he was there or not, he cleared his throat and tried to speak up despite being incredibly nervous at this point, unsure of how to approach this griffin.

Static tried to go for the friendly approach, hoping it would improve his chances in friendship.

"Hello there, umm, my name is Static Arc, and I'm just curious as to what you're doing there. It looks really interesting."

Hopefully this Griffin is up to make friends though, or he might find himself face to face with his sharp talons.

  4. The flustered and obviously disturbed Pegasus was a nervous wreck. Back when he was a small colt, he was always taught good manners and learned that eavesdropping on other ponies conversations was considered rude. Now, Static Arc wasn't one to disobey his parents, as they brought him up to how he was today, and coudn't bear to face the mare after what he had done. No wonder he didn't have any friends or a special somepony in his life at his point in his life.

As Static turned around and got ready to fly up to Cloudsdale, he heard a voice call him, yet it was much different than what he heard from before. Was there another pony with them watching this whole charade?

"No need to leave! Really, it's okay. It's a good thing you apologized and all that. Besides, it doesn't do me any good if you just up and fly away without buying anything, and I'm sure your stomach won't letcha forget,"

Static had stopped in his tracks. He turned around to see the so called Bon Bon wave a hoof over her stall, proudly displaying her wares in front of Static with a cheerful smile.

This is when I'd introduce myself a bit more appropriately and all but, well, you know everything already. What can I do ya for?"

Static wasn't really sure what to do at this point. He still considered flying back up to his home in Cloudsdale, figuring that being here wasn't worth the trouble. He wasn't worth the trouble, and he felt like he deserved the mare's kindness towards him. Yet, the mare seems to not really mind everything Static had did. She didn't seem at all off about what Static had done. She still seemed eager to sell her wares to him. And Static was still hungry for some bonbons.

Coming to a conclusion in his head, Static decided to just buy his bonbons and leave with no further conversation. He didn't want to mess this up anymore than he did. No point in trying to be friendly with her either. He just wanted to get in, and get out. That was his main goal.

J-just get in and get out. In and out. That's all...

Static took a deep breath, and turned right around and started back towards the mare. He couldn't bear to look her in the face. He just kept his head down and spoke in a expressionless, shy tone of voice.

"Umm, J-Just a bag of bonbons is f-fine, miss..."

Taking out a shaking hoof, he reached into his saddle bags and took out a bag of bits, not even bothering to check how much he really had in there.

    "W-Will this be enough?"

  5. Static Arc was taking another one of his many strolls through the town of Ponyville, after working yet another tough day at the Weather Factory. Nowadays, things seemed to be stuck in a rut. A never ending loop of events that Static normally went through every day. Wake up, eat some toast and some fruit, go to work, either have a good day or a bad day, and depending on the two, either go to Ponyville and check to see if anythings new, or simply go home and read the rest of the day away. Nothing ever really changes around Static's life, and the only thing that seemed different were the little conversations and events that happened in Ponyville. When it was either buying something from a strange pony, or checking out something out of place from normal days. In those days, Static felt his life wasn't just a waste of time. He felt more alive in these encounters, and he needed more of them.

As Static Arc found himself yet again in the middle of the marketplace, frowning a little at his earlier deduction. He didn't want his life to be the same thing over and over again. He needed to do something dashing. Something daring. Something he wouldn't ever do even if it meant his life was on the line.

Static started to get a little twitch in his eye and he started to shake a little, excited about what he would do to attract attention to himself and shake the day up. He was going to do something drastic, but where?

Static Arc found himself staring at what seemed like a regular carrot stand with an orange-maned mare who seemed like the owner of the stand talking to an elegant mare with a rose coloured coat, as well as a blue coated unicorn standing nearby.

Alright then, it's time to shake up the day a little.

Static Arc contemplated on how he would approach this, how he could shake the day up a bit. Finally, he settled on the one thing he thought he would ever dream of doing.

Static Arc took a few deep breaths, closed his eyes, thinking for a split second if this was really worth creating another crazy scenario, just so he could change his day up a little and create a bit of excitement.

Static then suddenly charged toward the carrot stall, shouting like a mad pony, shaking his head side to side with his tongue hanging out, flopping from side to side. When Static was close enough to the carrot stall, he jumped up high, letting out one last yell, and crash landed on top of the stand. The carrot-themed food items were flung in several directions, smashing to the ground. The stand was completely demolished, and the food that was on it was almost nearly all destroyed. As Static Arc lay on top of the mess that was once the carrot stand, he wondered what had become of the other ponies around him and if they were hurt in the process of his insanely stupid stunt, only to gain attention and to add something ecxiting to his day.

Mabye I kinda went over the top there. I could of just, I don't know, ask to them to be my friend instead of this stupid stunt.

Static Arc wondered what would happen now after his brief moment of insanity and loss of character.

  6. FlameddragoAG, I know the heart isn't made of snowflakes, but I hope this works out alright!

    flameddragoag.png

The snowflake brush I used is by SparklingTea of DeviantArt, made into GIMP brushes by fence-post of the same website!

Wow, actually this is much better than what I had it mind! Thanks for making this for me, but could I just ask for a small change? Can you just change the ice cream to a plain white for vanilla? I just want to compare and see which cutie mark fits the colour palette of my pony.

  7. Hey there guys, I was hoping if some of you talented artists could make me a cutie mark for one of my OCs. I would really appreciate it!

All it is is a simple ice cream cone, with a heart hovering over it, and the heart is made up of tiny little snowflakes, here is a picture that you can base it off of. I don't really care how large the snowflakes are, it just need it to resemble a heart.

  8. Static Arc was never really the type of pegasus to travel somewhere new. He always liked to be close to his home in Cloudsdale or Ponyville, but when he found out that this location to these 'games' was in a warehouse in Canterlot, Static was hesitant at first. He had to move away from his home for who knows how long for the first time in his life. He had wondered if it was really worth it at first, but then he thought of the danger his parents might be in, and steeled himself again. This wasn't for him, he wasn't out for this so called prize, this was about his family, and to find out why this charactor was interested in his family and himself.

Static had packed some food and other objects in his saddlebags, like money and a picture of his family, to remind him why he was on this quest. Static Arc had flown down to Ponyville towards the train depot, and hopped on the first train to his target and readied himself for the impending challenges ahead of him.

It took him some time, but Static managed to get off the train at Canterlot at about 11:42 AM, early enough for him to explore the inside of Canterlot and be in time for 12:00, which was the time he was supposed to be at the warehouse.

Wow, this place is huge! I always thought it was big from the view in Ponyville, but I didn't know it was this big!

Static was utterly amazed by the structures in Canterlot. He spent most of his time just wandering around, looking at all the shops and looking at all the fancy ponies who populate the place. He even had to stop by a donut shop and bought one to snack on as he made his way towards where the warehouse was supposed to be located.

Suddenly, Static had a slight feeling that he may have dawdled off in the city for too long. It may be too late to meet his mysterious letter sender!

Static started to panic a little as he kept up the pace, following the letter he was given to find out where he was supposed to go. He kept up his fast trot until he heard a faint sound in the distance. it sounded like...a whistle?

He followed the sound of the whistle towards a building that more or less looked like a warehouse. Ponies of every species filed out of the building, looking as if they worked there or something.

I had better check inside to see if this is the place. Mabye there are some ponies still inside, mabye to show them the letter and see if this is the right place.

Static Arc cautiously peeked inside the warehouse, and saw a group of ponies he never saw before in a small group. Static Arc entered the building and prepared himself to ask the ponies. he cleared his voice and said:

"Umm, excuse me, but could one of you help me out? I have this letter here with some directions and I'm not sure if this is the place."

Static then took out the letter and showed it to the group of ponies. Hopefully they could point him in the right direction.

  9. Hey there, I wouldn't mind getting a cutie mark done. It's really cool that you're doing this, I like it!

As for what I want mine to be, could you try and make a basic ice cream cone with a heart over top the cone made up of tiny light blue snowflakes making up the heart? If thats too complex, you can just make a light blue heart without the snowflakes.

Edit: for what I want the heart to look like, base it off of this

  10. Jeez, these ponies can sure talk about the oddest things.

Static bounced on his hooves, and stretched his wings a bit, and even though he tried not to, he was secretly eavesdropping on the two mares conversation. It was then when he realized that mabye the mint green unicorn next to the bonbon salespony wasn't a customer. Mabye she was a friend of this 'Bon Bon'. Mabye a relative. He couldn't quite tell, but they were definitely close considering what they were telling eachother.

From looking at the two for a while, it seemed that the vendor was leading the conversation, with the unicorn adding in her own bits when there was an opening. The earth pony looked to be more energetic and excitable, while the unicorn was more laid back and calmer than the bonbon seller.

"...And then I said, 'That's not a tomato'!"

Static Arc, who was secretally paying attention to the conversation, had to let out a snicker at that one.

Wow, what a story! Who knew this Bon Bon had such crazy encounters in her life!

Static had to fight down his smile though, when finally, the mare behind the counter turned toward him, obvious that she heard him laugh.

Oh no, she must have heard me laugh! Know she knows I overheard her conversation with her friend!...

And now she's looking me over! She must think I'm some sort of snoop or something... Better just apologize, get my chocolate, and get out of here... No real point to stick around...

Static stood there as Bon Bon's eyes scanned him, from his wings, to his legs and cutie mark. Static could only stand there, thinking up an apology to the two mares, visibly crestfallen that he may have chased away these two by eavesdropping on their conversation, when suddenly the pale yellow mare spoke up.

Static was taken slightly aback by Bon Bon's voice, but he had to go ahead and laugh a little at the mare's face when she spoke. The way she puffed out her cheeks like that was pretty comical, and oddly cute.

Ah, jeez, now I look like a fool, laugh in a mare's face like that. That could be normal to her for all I know!

Her voice sounded like some sort of country pony from Appleloosa, but he didn't want to make matters worse by commenting on how weird her voice was. That would be rude of Static. All he needed to do was offer an apology, buy his bonbons, and just go home.

"L-look, I'm truly sorry for laughing at you like that, and snooping in on your conversation. It was really rude of me. I-I-I..."

Static was embarrased on his own accord, his determination to buy something gone, and a sense of dignity gone. He couldn't bear to face the two mares, he couldn't take to anypony right. He was just messing everything. He would just try again tommorrow, once he got his wits back.

Static Arc started to turn around, and got ready to take off back to his home in Cloudsdale, trying to forget everything that happened.

  11. (Alrighty then, let's see how this goes!)

I'm using my OC Static Arc, and this is his profile: http://www.canterlot.com/topic/11991-static-arc-final/

    Reaction to letter

Ahh, finally I'm at the haven that is my house. What a day!

Static Arc thought to himself, obviously worn out from the day, having to deal with an out of control cloud that was letting out lightning bolts every few seconds. He and a few other members had been zapped a few times, and spent a lot of the time flying around to strategically pin down the cloud.

The tuckered out pegasus touched down to his home and went through the motions, getting the mail, unlocking the door and getting inside, grabbing a bite to eat, and sit down at the table to read what he had for mail.

Normally it was only bills or flyers, but today was much different.

Static had opened many letters, and out came numbers of pictures showing himself and his family. Static Arc was shocked and furious about this. Who dared take pictures of himself and his parents without knowing? It was an invasion of privacy!

There was one that showed Static reading a book in his house, another showing his mum and dad taking a stroll through Cloudsdale, and another showing him walking through Ponyville, buying various things from when he would travel through the small town.

As Static read through the letter and saw the pictures, Static was beginning to believe this may be some kind of... blackmail. Like this pony, or creature, or whoever, was expecting Static to play this 'game', and since he knew what Static and his parents looked like, if he didn't join, this guy might do something to hurt Static's parents!

And then there was the invitation. Like the one he got a week back when he thought it was some big scam. An invitation to join what was called 'The Greatest Game ever Played'. Both the letter and the pictures had to be connected.

As Static's cutie mark entails, he is mostly very loyal and protective of the ones he loves, and seeing things as he did, he had no choice but to join in this 'game', and find out what this being wants, and to make sure he leaves him and his family alone!

What confused Static though, was that he was going to be in a 'team' with other ponies. He didn't do too well in teams, he always preferred to be alone to figure things out, but he had to think. Had they gotten this letter too, and gotten pictures of their family? There was no way to be sure, but he WAS sure of, was that he was going to wait for this next letter, go to the location, and teach this guy what he was dealing with. Because nopony is going harm his family if he had something to say about it.

Static Arc got up from his seat, furious with anger at what he just read, and threw his daisy sandwich in the trash. There was no time for snacks! He had to prepare for this!

Static then flew upstairs to his room and began packing, waiting every few seconds if he could hear the mailbox, for the location to this 'game'.

    The horse says "Sure."

  13. I could definitely go for something to eat right now. It's strange how I didn't have time to eat much before I went out when I don't have much to do anyway.

Static Arc was walking casually through the market district of Ponyville, happy that it was his day off from working at the Weather Factory. He was always off on Sundays, and he thought he would spend most of the day exploring Ponyville, checking out some stores, get some fresh air, and enjoy the day.

Before he felt for Ponyville, he didn't have too much to eat for lunch, and now that he was here, he might as well try out the market place, see if there was anything good to sate his hunger.

As Static Arc found himself entering the marketplace, he immediately started looking around for some sort of food vendor. Apples, carrots, and celery salesponies displayed their wares out to the general public, hoping for somepony to stop by and make a purchase, but Static wasn't feeling like anything healthy today. He was in the mood for something sweet. Perhaps somepony will have something for him that he might like.

Suddenly, something caught Static's ear. A... song?

    "Bon Bon's bonbons~

They're the tastiest treats in town!~

Buy a bag to share with your friends~

    I guarantee you won't frown!"

    Bon Bon's... bonbons?

Static Arc looked over to the source of the melody. He could see a pale yellow earth pony with a cart promoting her wares, and a sign on top that says:

Bon Bon's Bonbons and Chocolates- Open for Business!

He also noticed a mint green coloured mare with a harp on her flank, chatting with the mare who was in charge of the stand. Suddenly, Static Arc's stomach started to rumble. He liked the sound of filling himself up with some chocolate! Hopefully they still have some left to sell, as the yellow coated one seemed like an honest seller, and such a nice pony. Hopefully he didn't have to talk for long, as he wasn't too fond with new ponies, because he hardly knew them, and the fact that they were both, well, female! He didn't really do well with the other gender.

So far it was only the unicorn who was at the front, chatting away with the vendor, so Static started to walk up to the front of the cart, to look at what she was selling.

Boy, this stuff looks really good. I hope it isn't too much though, I want to bring some home with me to snack on.

Static Arc patiently waited up at the front of the stand, and waited for the two mares to finish their conversation.

  14. It's going alright so far, right now im just working on where she lives, her job and motivation.

I'm still working on Cheery, and I'll add more soon.

I'm thinking of a place that's really dry and hot most of the time, and might benefit from Cheery's special talent, which is ice magic (conjuring up chilly winds, making snow, etc.). Do you have any ideas about a place she could live, and mabye a job? I just need some ideas.

    Roleplay Type: World of Equestria

Name: Pleasant Flurries (Prefers to be called "Cheery".)

    Sex: Female

    Age: Mare

    Species: Unicorn

    Eye colour: Magenta

    Coat colour: Blue

Mane/Tail/Markings colour & Style: Pleasant likes to keep her mane beautiful and long, always hoping to give strangers a good first impression of her. Her mane has two colours, pure white and cyan. Her tail has the same colours, and keeps it long and looking good!

Physique: Cheery is fit and slim, despite working at an ice cream shop. She is about as tall as a regular mare could be.

Cutie Mark: An ice cream cone with a scoop of ice cream on top. A blue heart is in the middle of the cone with a snowflake overlapping the heart.

This symbolizes her happy and friendly nature while it also shows her affinity to ice magic, and her love for making ice cream.

Now for her Cutie Mark story, it all had to do with how much she liked to keep ponies happy. Along with her bouncy nature, she wanted to give a little of that for ponies to have with them. So as a small filly still in school, she thought about what she thought about how she would spread around her bubbly personality. So one day, Cheery's parents wanted to give their daughter a treat, just like any caring family would. They took her to an ice cream shop in Canterlot. As they waited in line for their turn, Cheery noticed another family up at front. Now, the stallion up front serving the family was probably the nicest pony she ever saw! He had a warm smile and a bright attitude as he gave the colt up front what he wanted. She noticed how happy the colt was when he got his treat, and she knew right there how to make other ponies happy. So when it was Cheery's turn to get her ice cream, instead of asking for whatever she wanted, she actually asked to work for him!

Now, it was completely expected for the ice cream pony to turn down her offer, as she was too young to work, but oddly enough, he allowed her to explore the back, and help make ice cream for her parents! Cheery was ecstatic! She was given a tour by the nice pony about how the ice cream was made. Cheery was really curious about the machinery, and loved to see all the colours of the ice cream blend together. When it was time for Cheery to serve her parents, they all were really surprised to find out that Cheery was a very quick learner. She mixed ice cream together really well for her first time, she cleaned up any messes, and delivered with flair! When she was done, she served them some of her own custom ice cream on a cone, a surprisingly tasty mix of apples and strawberry, which is one of Cheery's signature flavours in her own shop! Once Cheery saw the smiles on her parents faces, and felt how happy she was for making her parents proud, she knew this is what she was meant to do. That was when Cheery finally earned her cutie mark.

Origin/Residence: Her parents were originally from Stalliongrad, but Pleasant was born in Canterlot. Currently lives in the town of Appleloosa on the second floor of her store.

Occupation: Owner of 'Cheery's Ice Cream Emporium of Wonders and Fan Store' in Appleloosa. As the title emplys, she sells ice cream and specially made fans.

History: As a foal, Pleasant was... pretty much the same pony as she is now! She was always a happy filly, very energetic and rarely ever cried. She was taken very good care of by her father, Chilled Winters, and her mother, Sherbert Ice. Both of them were originally from Stalliongrad, but strangely moved to Canterlot to birth Pleasant. To this day she is still not sure why they ever moved in the first place, as they never wanted to tell her.

Pleasant's nickname came from her foalhood. Now, her parents always commented on how bubbly and happy their foal was, and one day they were trying to think up another word to describe her, when suddenly, Pleasant said her first word, which sounded strangely like 'Cheery', which means happy or energetic. The word stuck with Pleasant's parents, and always referred her to 'Cheery'. The name then stuck with Pleasant when she was older, because she thought it fitted her personality better and it was easier to say and remember than Pleasant Flurries.

As Cheery grew older, her magic started to kick in, and her parent's found out she had a likeness to ice-related magic, such as making snow appear or produce chilly air currents. Right away Cheery's parents admitted her to a basic magic school in Canterlot so Cheery could learn to control her magic, and hopefully find her special talent. Cheery practiced her magic every day, and searched for her what she was meant to do in life for a couple of years.

After she gained her cutie mark in the ice cream shop (See Cutie Mark story), she was allowed to work as a volunteer for the owner of the store, who was simply named Mr. Scoop. She helped with cleaning the store and sometimes helping the customers out. all for free ice cream, which Cheery liked to keep a tally of in a notebook. She noted the flavours of ice cream and how well they tasted together, and added her own changes to the ice cream to what she thought would make it taste better. She even made entirely new flavours that she wanted to try to make, which, now, used all of this information that she gathered when she was a filly and incorporated it to her own store.

In school, Cheery also tried to form her magic abilities around helping out the store, including levitation, as that was key. Cheery liked to keep her special skill of ice magic, but never really liked to use it as it has almost no use for around ice cream.

As Cheery grew older, she still helped out around the ice cream shop, and was upgraded from free ice cream to bits, and was finally allowed to work with the ice cream, such as churning it and serving it. After a few more years of basic employee status, Mr. Scoop finally took Cheery under his wing and taught her all of his secrets, and taking her as his apprentice.

The years went by as Cheery continued to work as an assistant to Mr. Scoop, and was able to pass magic school and live in her own house in Canterlot. It was then when Cheery first heard of a new settlement popping up over in the south. Now, Cheery thought about this. She always wanted to help out ponies, and make them smile, and all she could think about was how hot and dry the town of Appleloosa would be. They would need something to keep them cool. They would need a little bit of Cheery Magic to make them cool and happy.

So finally, Cheery told Mr. Scoop that she would be moving to Appleloosa, and setting up her own ice cream shop using the methods and strategies that her mentor taught her. Mr. Scoop told her that she was always like a daughter to him, and he was always lucky to have her in his life. He would always cherish the time that they shared as mentor and apprentice. And of course, as friends. With a hug, they both parted ways and Cheery made her way to down the mountain Canterlot was on to Ponyville, where the train to Appleloosa would take her to start her new life.

Life was a bit rocky at first with Cheery in her first days in Appleloosa. She had the money to build her two-story ice cream shop and everything she needed to get started, because another of her mottos is "always be prepared", so that's what she did. She saved up her money, and worked a few odd jobs around Canterlot in order to get the right amount.

The idea of selling fans though, is quite a simple tale. She pretty much wanted to have a more 'permanent' way of making her customers leave happy. She only sells them every second day though, because she builds the fans from scratch, and it takes a lot of her time and energy to make enough of them to sell. What's special about the fans though, is that she uses a special spell she learned from her school in Canterlot. She's able to enchant the fan to let out cooler breezes, sort of like an air conditioner, but easier to use and set up.

To this day, Cheery continues to run a well received ice cream and fan shop, and manages to stay afloat all year long, and Cheery couldn't be happier! Cheery is well loved by the citizens of Appleloosa, and she hopes to work there as long as she can, because Cheery wants to sort of "carry the legacy" from her mentor, and she hopes someday, she can have her own little assistant to carry her legacy in a large line of ice cream sellers!

Character Summary: Pleasant Flurries is probably to nicest unicorn you could ever meet. She can be very outgoing and energetic, and never afraid to speak what's on her mind, no matter how strange it may be! That's because she believes that you should always be yourself, no matter what anypony says! She also always looks on the bright side of things. No matter how bad things might be, she always thinks of something positive for it.

In addition to her being so outgoing, she likes to help out where ever she goes. "If somepony's in trouble, always try to help out!", that's one of Pleasant's many mottos for living life! She can also be really friendly with just about everything, but sometimes a little too friendly. Somehow, sometimes ends up with a pony running the other way. Either way, nothing can ever upset her, even from the meanest pony in Equestria! She always finds a way to smile through!

Cheery likes everything sweet, especially apple pie, and enjoys walking outside, making friends, and talking to ponies. She also likes colourful things, the sun, winter, and Appleloosa.

Cheery can be considered a girly pony, so she doesn't like scary things like bats and spiders, but appreciates a good scare. She also doesn't like it when she talks to grumps, or mean ponies who doesn't like how she acts. She also doesn't like being bored or being quiet.

Pleasant also goes by another rule of hers: To always be ready to give a good impression, so she always strives to look her best all the time. That's why she always brushes her mane and tail out to perfection, and makes sure her whole body is nice and clean before going out for the day.

Cheery's main motivation is that she hopes in making really dry and hot places like Appleoosa more tolerable with her frozen treats and fans. Also, even though it might be a little cliche, she wants to make everypony more positive like she is, and hopefully create a world with happy ponies. She also strives to make everyponies day just a little bit better! Another motivation she has is to be able to pass on her talents as an ice cream seller to another young colt or filly willing to learn, like she was with Mr. Scoop.

On Cheery's off time, she normally likes to take long walks around Appleloosa and its surrounding areas, like its famous apple orchard. She also spends most the day talking and hanging out with ponies she's met over time. She also likes to travel over long distances, picking up various ingredients for her ice cream. When Cheery has little to do or is really worn out from a long day of work, she likes to stay inside her shop on the second floor, which is where she keeps her room and kitchen. She will either work on new recipes for her ice cream, make fans to sell, or simply just eat dinner and crash on her bed to rest.

One of Cheery's faults is always being too extreme with things. Sometimes she can make other ponies uncomfortable when she talks to them. She can be seen as 'weird' or 'too happy' to other ponies, and sometimes they can shy away from her, yet some ponies like her company. Also, even though this may not be a fault, when she talks too fast or does something super quick, she can hurt herself like bitting her tongue or tripping over her hooves. This is normally from wanting to give her customers 110%, and trying to do too much at one time.

Cheery also worries about not satisfying her customers and giving them what they want. She worries that she might mess something up, and make her customers unhappy, which is opposite of what she wants. She wants her customers to feel happy and satisfied, but sometimes worries if she doesn't do enough for them.

  16. Alright then, good to know that I'm not missing anything. I'll be patient and wait for them to move my app and make it official.

And in regards to the tips, I thank you for them. I can have a pretty good imagination and I'm pretty creative so I think I might fit right in.

Thanks again for accepting Static, and a BIG thanks to Lux for being there and helping me fix up my OC.

    Have a good day/night! :smirk:
