Ooh! I've actually been researching a bit an planning to make a video series based on this Well apart from the G1 character they are directly based off of I've noticed that some of the Mane 6 characters have more than one Pony that went into them in terms of character (Twilight, for example has a similar personality to Wind Whistler....I can't be the only one to see Twilight picking apart the ending of a sad romance story the way Wind Whistler did in one episode) Posey's singing voice sounds fairly similar to Fluttershy's, I'm not sure if it's intentional but if you play "How does my garden grow" and then play "So many wonders" they do sound a bit similar On that note the episode "Fugitive Flowers" has some similarities to the episode "Swarm of the Century" (they aren't painfully obvious ones but when you think about it they do have some very basic elelments in common) Big Macintosh's "Eeyup" was originally used by Slugger, one of the "Big Brother Ponies" in the original series who was introduced in Sonambula episode arc Similarly Rarity's famous "I vant to be alone" line was originally used by Heart-throb in the second episode of the Sonambula episode arc (though it's also worth noting they both have the same accent and a few other things in common) Twist is based off of a G1 Pony, her colouring is similar and everything, though while g4 Twist is an Earth Pony Filly G1 Twist was a Unicorn Mare. Before we had the Cutie Mark Crusaders we had Ember, the original Cutie Mark Crusader who appeared in the pilot episode Angel had a counter part in G1 as well, Mr Moochick appeared on a few occasions giving advice and magical aid and had a Rabbit who basically was the one that found the thing Mr Moochick was looking for or that really had the answer Before "Winter Wrap Up" we had the opening of the movie (Hm, the song is about the start of Spring) And as we can see in "The end of Flutter Valley" G1 had an equivilent to the Summer Sun Festival Several parallels can be drawn between the G4 Pilot and the G1 Pilot Including that before the Rainbow of Harmony we had the Rainbow of Light We all reconise the Flutter Pony wings in episode 16, but appearently Flutter Pony wings really are supposed to be made of Gossamer The Filly that gets trapped in a well in episode 34 may be a nod to Morning Glory, the first Flutter Pony to be shown after she was rescued from being trapped in a well (Appearently real Flutter Pony wings aren't as flammable as fake ones, but they do get water logged fairly easily) There's a G1 Filly that looks very similar to Dinky Pinkie had a good reason to think Zecora was evil, the only other Zebra to be featured in the show before her was (actually he was a bit like a really oily used car sales man, in my opinion) One of the background Ponies, an entirely green Pagasus bears a strong resemblence to Medley from the Pilot episode Bon-Bon looks a bit like Ginger Bread from G1 Hmm, that's all th comes to mind right now, I'm sure I could find more Oh! But a couple of subverted ones: In G1 the Baby Ponies were always the Daughters of their Adult counterparts but (as far as I remember) we never saw any who were sisters apart from the 6 Princess Ponies, while in G4 they're essentially done the reverse In G1 Pony hair grew back instantly after being cut (I wonder how many litle girl were upset by finding out the dolls didn't work the same way) while in G4 it dosen't

I've had several cases, the first one being in the summer when I went to a store to see if a game I wanted was covered by the sale they had on and the only copy they had in was used and only slightly cheaper than a new one and not covered by the sale, when I debreifed with my mother about it I said "....And I refuse to pay that much for a game somepony else has used" Once I said "....A town founded by Earth Ponies" instead of "....A town with a farming history" I took a financial literacy class and for one weekend they went through the practise questions booklet, a couple of the first questions were about a family that farms apples for a living (No really, they even had some of the names match) and said that I got stuck with those ones because "....The way the question was worded was a bit distracting" For the same class I ended up remembering the different types of employment/disability insurence by which Pony could get which: Fluttershy has the highest one that will pay you if you can't do a job that's the same as your old one (only a few occupations have this, it's also a bit of a stretch but given how animals are a bit different she could be counted as a doctor of sorts), Twilight is the second most insurable (because in theory, an accademic is less likely to have some terrible happen to her than most ponies), Rarity is the third most insurable because she runs a shop (I don't know, maybe she could fit under Twilight's bracket, they didn't list everything that goes in it), then Rainbow Dash (I consider weather worker as being similar to a trades worker, such as an electrician or a plumber), then Applejack (farmer is specifically listed in the least insurable bracket because of the high injury rate). And Pinkie Pie can't get employment insurence at all because you have to have a full time paying job to buy it

[ Hm. Actually the "With Celestia as my witness" line makes an extra bit of sense when you remember that Celestia is an elder sister too

And the final round is going (hmm, it looks like both marathons will be Ponies. yay!)

I've heard Brony, Bronette, Filly, Fan Filly and Pegasister I actually think Fan Filly is nice, Pegasister is a bit iffy for me, just because I think of it applying more to Girls with a Pegasus self-character than other Female fans

Today my Mother's student moved into her placement home! To explain about 13 months ago my Mother started Tutoring this one girl, who needed help getting through her classes and legal problems, about one year ago she left her mother's house where she had been living since her father died and had been trying to find either a group home or some other placement and to get custody of her son/nephiew (yes....I was shocked too). At first I actually enjoyed having her there and she was the one student my Mother's had in the past several years that I got along with, but then we started getting on eachother's nerves after 6 months or so.... Since she's had a series of placements that haven't gone well she's had to stay with my parents and myself multiple times (she's also stayed with other people, but all the times she's stayed here added to the 3 or 4 months my mom's friend had his son stay here while he tried to find a new house, I've basically been sharing my house with somebody extra for close to half of this year) and this time she stayed for nearly 2 months. And yes, it has been really stressful (me breaking down and crying over minor thing like not being able to go out or being asked to try making batter for sea food when I've never done it before), none of us were happy with the arrangement, my Father and I were especially frustrated that she literally took up all the space on the sofa so it was difficult to do anything in the living room even more at night because she goes to bed so early compared to everyone else, but there weren't any other options. And today she's finally moved to a new placement home that looks very promising and that's out of town (she'll still be in touch but won't constantly be there). I finally have all of my house back! All of her things have been taken out of the house (There's so much space now! I've been steeping around travel bags for so long I don't know what to do with all the free space there is!) So finally: No more sitting in the back seat (She says that she needs to because she gets car sick easily) No more not being able to eat anything with strawberries (I love strawberries but she's very allergic) No more having medical things mentioned all the time No more hearing about piercings (Both of those last two things I don't handle very well, I can picture it, it's horrible, my blood pressure drops and I need to sit down it's not fun) No more having the entire sofa being monopolised No more unwashed body smell (Everyone in my family showers at least one a day) No more Kassia trying to sound clever No more garbage in the back seat (really, mostly it was Tim Hortons packages but there were some even worse things) No more carseat No more Kassia shouting when I'm trying to focus on something No more of Kassia's "dripping faucet" singing voice No more being stuck in house until after dark No more non-organic beef (I'm fairly sure I'm allergic to beef and the reaction I have to non-organic beef is even worse than the reaction to the Organic Beef my Mother eats) No more being called spoiled because my life isn't a trainwreck No more distasteful jokes No more hearing about boys sending her pictures of their reproductive organs (her current boyfriend is actually one of the few that hasn't done this) No more bad MTV dramas No more Bassline (Hmm, the heavy bassline in the music she listens to hurts my ears) No more Sky Scraper song Yes, I'm just so glad that it's over I wanted to share it with everyone and of course, no great day is complete without a PMV:

It probably is rigged to some degree at least, otherwise pinkie would probably have an even larger percentage than she already had at the start But yes, most of these things are probably rigged, I remember when I was 13 one station I would always watch the saturday morning line up for had a poll to decide which series they would have a full episode preview for a few weeks in advance, two of the shows were fairly closely tied with one far behind until the night before when the show that had been so far behind suddenly had probably 75% of the votes (and when they finally aired the one I voted for started with an episode several episodes in and one character tells another something that they aren't supposed to mention until close to the end of the show....Weird little station....)

Hmm! I wonder how much of this episode will be story of the play and how much will be preparation for the play itself (because all of them preparing for a play does have a lot of comedy potential) And even more voice actors & Actresses that have been in both Frienship is Magic & Hamtaro (really, there are at least 6 and I haven't even checked the ones that play human characters)

Hmm, it might have Spike grow up for that one episode, but looking at the first half of the synopsis it's deffinately possible that Spike's "Sudden growth spurt" is either (really) fat Spike or he ends up accidentally taking some sort of growth potion so he's basically a giant version or himself Actually one of the comments on Equstria Dailty mentions about this mentions how, looking at the proportions, that "Growm up Spike" we saw in Cutie Mark Chronicles could have mostly been Spike as he was at the moment made considerably larger by Twilight's magic and not what he would look like as an adult (which would be nice, I like to think that the types of Dragons that are hatched at the entry exam are smaller and have a closer lifespan to Ponies, it's a bit sad to think that they have to go into exile and have the Ponies they're closest to die when they're still a child)
