1. Aww, look at you! Very nice Character, If I do say so myself. I'm no moderator or RP assistant, but Giggle is a well made character. Can I expect that her wedding would be an RP in the near future?
2. The Adventure of King Roc's Treasure. The sun beamed down brightly onto the griffin city of Talonpolis. It was midsummer, punishing the city with sweltering heat. Most of the griffins stayed in their homes, defying the weather with shade and drinks. One such griffin was King Roc, who paced back and forth in his study. Featherweight, his royal advisor, waved a large red dragon scale over the King as a fan. As if the day wasn't hot enough, Roc was steaming with rage. Despite King Roc's stubbornness, Featherweight had recently hired a bodyguard named Razorwing. Razorwing watched out the single useable window in the study, as all the other windows were blocked by bookshelves and armor stands. He was clad in scale armor. Eventually King Roc stopped his pacing. In a rage, he punched a plate helmet that lay on a shelf, denting it. "Where the hell are they?" Featherweight gulped. "Sire, we put the notice out only five hours ago..." "Four hours and thirty-three minutes, to be precise." Razorwing corrected, watching the sun. "The time isn't relevant!!" Roc yelled. "I want adventurers, not excuses! Threats on my life are not to be taken likely!" Featherweight gave Razorwing an uneasy glance. "Sire, who says that this Flashfire will come through with his threat?" "You weren't there one hundred and fifty-seven years ago!" King Roc yelled again. "The first time he attempted to murder me!" Featherweight froze. "Sire, you realize only royals can live for such a long time?" He instantly regretted questioning King Roc, just barely ducking under another punch from the king. "I don't know how he does it, Featherweight." A chill crept down the king's spine. "But I know it was him. There is no mistaking his tattoos!" Featherweight had never seen his king so distraught. "Surely, sire, we can stop one rogue unicorn." The assistant reassured King Roc. "You would think, wouldn't you?" King Roc muttered, staring off into space. After minutes of silence, King Roc turned to face Featherweight. "I cut him once. That's it. And when I cut him, he healed." Featherweight raised an eyebrow, not really understanding. "Sire?" Roc continued; "Instantly. I watched the wound close in front of my eyes." King Roc grabbed a marked book from one of the shelves, opening it to a bookmarked page. He showed it to Featherweight. "Necromancy magic. I only just figured it out recently." The king placed the book back onto the shelf, and began pacing again. "There is only ONE artifact that comes to mind that can cancel the effects of necromancy magic." Featherweight nodded, understanding. "Your old sword, sire?" "Yes, Featherweight. Mountain Cleaver. We need it to stop Flashfire. Which is why I need adventurers. To go get it." Razorwing interrupted; "I think they are here." He said, watching a few figures enter the bottom floor of the palace. (That would be you guys.)
3. (Ta-Da! Not a long while. Also, I'm a man.) Arton stared around in bemusement as his group of survivors split off after this new pony. Cutting down the last zombie in his area, he called out to the others. "Guys, what in the world are you doing? We're supposed to be heading to the flare, not following strangers!" They all kept running. Angered, Arton turned to the rest behind him. "Fine, go with the other survivors to Sweet Apple Acres. I'll get to the flare, and grab the scout." Arton ran off in the direction of the flare. "Watch your backs, for Celestia's sake." Arton stopped at the edge of the Everfree Forest. The flare was still shining brightly on the other side. Lifting his sword, Arton headed into the trees. If the scout can get that far, so can I... hopefully.
4. Now this looks incredibly interesting. A promise for adventure is always good news. Name: Flashfire (Mostly known as 'The Pale Pony') Age: Flashfire has stopped his aging in his thirties. Gender: Male. Race: Unicorn. Profession: Alchemist. Flashfire sells his potions for great prices. He is also incredibly experienced with fire magic. Appearance: Flashfire has pale fur. Black tattoos snake along his body. His tail is short and choppy, while his mane us long and thick. Both his mane and tail have a red/white colour pattern to them. He has orange eyes. Flashfire usually wears his cloak, hood pulled over his face. Personality: Flashfire is very greedy for power. His intense lust for power is what drives his to do the most insane things. Flashfire is normally rude to those who have nothing to offer him. Flashfire is very full of himself, acting as if he is above all others. Occasionally another will impress him, earning his respect. Once Flashfire has a goal, however, he will stop at nothing to reach it. His goals will always be some way of increasing his own power. History: Flashfire grew up traveling from place to place. He hated his parents, so he left them at a very early age. Flashfire settled with some carnival ponies for a long while, where he learned about his skills with fire magic. Once he started researching magic, Flashfire became obsessed with increasing his power. As he grew older, he took many wounds in his adventures. So many, in fact, that he would normally be dead. Fortunately, he discovered a remedy to heal his wounds, as well as stay his age. Without a monthly dose of his potion he will suffer all his wounds and all his years at once. The news of Coltara spread around Equestria like a plague, almost instantly gaining Flashfire's attention. A new world meant new power. Goals: Flashfire isn't really sure what to expect, apart from new powers, adventure in a new land, and a grab at the legendary Coltara treasures. (Or so he has been lead to believe)
5. Flashfire struggled to make his way through the deep snow, cursing the weather and the freezing chill of the winter wind. The pale unicorn tugged his hood over his face as he entered Ponyville, both to hide from the cold and from seemingly social ponies. Young ponies sledded around the town on the snow. While buried in three feet of snow, the little ones appeared bigger than they actually were. Flashfire hated the snow, but dared not use his fire magic in town. The guards would be on him in mere minutes. He plowed his way through the streets, not really sure what to do in town that day.
6. (Out of curiosity, am I able to just jump in? And are there OC's allowed?
7. (Out of curiosity, am I able to just jump in? And are there Doc's allowed?
8. I want to be part of this, sounds fun. Like mafia. I think if we did this we would have to dumb down our superpowers, though
9. (I'm thinking we should jump to the next morning. Also... "WHERE IS EVERYONE ELSE!!?")
10. I wouldn't mind being in this either... What if I was a teacher? Would that work? I had the idea of the typical mean teacher.
11. Flashfire smiled down at Lyria, deep in thought . "Uhh... no." He moved tot he door. "I have some things of my own to do. Don't you go anywhere, you!" He gave her a wink, and left.
12. Talonwing's jaw would have dropped if his helmet didn't catch it. "That was... easy." He shrugged. "Well, for the second part of my plan. We have to go very far from here." He settled down to sleep. "That sound good to you?" ---------------------------- Flashfire moved to Lyria. "Someone escaped the prison today, and brainwashed my friend. Her name was Dawn. She escaped with him. I want you to track them down. I want both of them back here alive. Understand?"
13. Flashfire chuckled at the comment. "No, no. Nothing like that yet. I hadn't had anything in particular for you to do, but would you consider an errand?" ------------------------ Talonwing gave Dawn a note with a large list of plants. "Just from some plants around Equestria. I know for a fact that he doesn't have any more, so either he'll get some himself, which I doubt, or someone else will get them for him. I say we wait him out, and hit him hard when he least expects it. I also had another idea..."
14. "Do you remember last night? When I gave Flashfire that potion?" Talonwing asked. "It keeps him... together. He's suffered through enough pain to be killed dozens of times. But that potion is one of his few weaknesses. The potion cancels the damage, or rather postpones it. As long as he drinks it, he can't really be killed. If we stop him from getting any potion, he'll be weak enough for me to stop him." ---------------------------- Flashfire turned away from the window. "As long as I'm considered a friendly to Canterlot, I can't kill anyone. It isn't considered morally right. But you can, considering you already have a record for it."
15. Talonwing laughed. "Friends? no. I don't make friends easily." He looked out of the cave, through the waterfall. "I was never allowed to..." His voice trailed off, and he shifted his gaze back to Dawn. "I'll tell you the truth here." Talonwing leaned forward again. "Don't get me wrong. I am very close to Flashfire. Sure, he doesn't appreciate me, but I respect him. I'd follow him anywhere. But now? With this whole amulet situation? It's getting extremely out of hand." His eyes stared into Dawn's "I'd stop him myself, but I can't. Last night, you stood up to him. That was impressive. Almost nobody stands up to him like that." Talonwing gulped. "To tell you the truth, i need your help. We have to stop him." ------------------- Flashfire smiled. "Burned a village... I can relate to that." He stood up, and moved to the window. "I have a job for you, if you want one." Flashfire said rhetorically.
16. Talonwing watched her carefully. "What about your friends? They're still in Canterlot, aren't they? If Flashfire finds them, he'll kill them. And what if i go back to Flashfire right now, and tell him where you are?" Talonwing leaned forward, off the wall. "Face it. you need my help" He leaned back again, crossing his arms behind him like a pillow. From under his helmet, he smiled. ------------------------ Flashfire stared up at Lyria for a minute. "Sit down, please." Once she sat, Flashfire smiled kindly. "What were you doing in that jail cell? Not falsely accused like the others?"
17. Lyria stood to her full height, towering over Flashfire as he sat on the ground. Flashfire playfully raised his brow. "You realize that you're chained to the wall, right?" He glanced down to the chains. They were holding strong. Flashfire returned his gaze up to Lyria's eyes. There was something... familiar about them. "Do you know me?" He asked curiously. --------------------------- Talonwing wasn't sure where to go from the falls. Technically, he was a hostage at the moment "So, where are we off to now? You came after me in Canterlot. You could have escaped. And if it was a grudge for last night, I'd be dead by now. What do you need from me?" Talonwing stretched his arms, and yawned. "Also, I haven't slept in four days." He glanced under the waterfall, where the water had formed a small cave over hundreds of years. "If I know Flashfire, and I do, he'll have search parties out for us very soon. C'mon" He entered the small cave and laid back on a wall.
18. Talonwing stood to his feet, and shrugged off the rest of the soot. "I don't think I've been here. But then again, I've been to lots of places, and wouldn't remember." He moved to the side of the river, just close enough to catch the light rain from the waterfall. Talonwing dipped his arms into the water. The cool water was nice, considering he just escaped a fireball. He gazed to the sky. The devastation from Flashfire's fireball was even burning some of the clouds. Talonwing turned to Dawn. "Come on. wash up." Shade dropped over the two of them. Talonwing looked into the sky. "Sun's going down." He laughed. "Pathetic fallacy, much?" Talonwing reached for his helmet. Seeing the already pained look on Dawn's face, he dropped his hands to his sides again. ------------------------------------ Flashfire grinned. "Do you know how unreasonably violent you were just acting? You lit Canterlot on fire, then you tried to beat a mare's head in with a rock. That's hurtful." Flashfire gestured for the two guards to leave. Once they left, Flashfire leaned closer to Lyria. "I like it."
19. Heretic

Dawn

Also I wouldn't mind reading that story
20. Heretic

Dawn

So this is who I've been trying to kill (and save)
21. Talonwing sighed. "Don't know." He actually had his reasons. He looked over at Dawn, and stared for a second. There was a hidden sadness in Talonwing's eyes, deep down. He sat up, brushing soot off of himself. "Besides." He smiled beneath his helmet. "You had my own sword up to my neck." Talonwing viewed his surroundings. "Where are we now?" --------------------------------------- Flashfire stormed into his room, nose flaring. "Of all the..." He stared out the window, searching for Talonwing. Perhaps we would come back. Flashfire sat on the wooden floorboards. He stared at the floor for a few minutes, contemplating the situation. "Mind control." Flashfire smiled. "That's the only reason he would..." Flashfire stopped, there was a pony cowering in the corner. The one that tried to kill Flare. Flashfire leaned forward, extending a hoof in her direction. "Come here." He growled.
22. (Draw me like one of your french girls)
23. Flashfire kept running at Dawn, even as she released Talonwing. Flashfire could feel his magic hitting it's peak, but kept pushing at it to build up. Flashfire couldn't allow anyone to know the truth about him. "Talonwing! Grab her!" Talonwing leapt forward, and wrapped his large metal wings around Dawn. He grabbed his sword from her grip. "Are you ready?" He whispered to her. The flames around Flashfire concentrated themselves in front of him, creating a gigantic fireball. Talonwing's wings created a barrier around Dawn and Talonwing, obscuring them from anyone else. "Talonwing! I said grab her!" Flashfire screamed. "What are you doing!?" Flashfire dug his hooves into the ground, sliding to a stop. He kept adding power to his fireball, at the ready. After a few moments of silence, Talonwing flew into the sky with great speed, catching Flashfire off guard. "After them!!" He yelled to the guards, and they took off into the sky. Talonwing held tightly to Dawn. He had to fly with his wings, so she was out in the open. Close behind him, the highly trained Canterlot guards were shouting at him to stop. "Hang on!" He said to Dawn, quickly swerving to the left. Twelve guards. Talonwing counted. Talonwing lifted higher into the sky above a cloud, where the guards couldn't see him. When they appeared, he slashed at them, careful not to actually kill them. In seconds, he had knocked four of them out of the sky. Flashfire stood on the ground, staring at the sky. The guards were dropping quickly. "Talonwing, what the hell are you doing?" He asked himself. As the cloud cleared he saw Talonwing slashing at the guards, protecting dawn. "No!!" Flashfire screamed into the sky. Out of anger, Flashfire launched his fireball into the sky, still screaming. Talonwing saw the fireball coming. It looked like the sun itself was flying at them at an alarming rate. He looked down at Dawn. She must have understood the situation, judging by the look in her eye. Talonwing did the only thing that seemed plausible at the time. He stopped flapping his wings, and used them to protect Dawn. He shielded the two of them from the incoming fireball. Talonwing heard the explosion. Better yet, he could feel the explosion. The fireball detonated in the center of all of them. Talonwing could hear the violent screams from the guards, cut short. The explosion propelled Talonwing away extremely fast. launching him across the sky. Flashfire saw it. A black cloud shaped like a griffon flying through the sky. Talonwing's charred metal wings were still wrapped around himself. He was obviously still protecting Dawn. Flashfire stomped his hoof on the ground, and yelled. Talonwing flew off into the distance, out of Flashfire's view. Flashfire turned around, and became face to face with Arton. "Captain of the guard. I want a search party out there as soon as possible." Flashfire left before Arton could even answer, and headed off to his room.
