Slick decided the Knight look pretty occupied... I mean he was loosing a competition after all! He made his way to the beach and placed his surfboard just in front of where the ponies where learning to swim, then at least it would be close by if he needed it. He decided to wade out into the water by where Pocket was... now that Shade wasn't here it was probably a good time to sort things out. He couldn't bare himself to look at her so he just looked down at the water as he talked, those beaming eyes still implanted deep into his mind "[colour=#006400]Hey Pocket....[/colour]" He muttered, eyes still glued to the water "[colour=#006400]Look I know you and Shade are a thing but I can't help it! She gives me feelings in my tummy and... I wont say anything to her... you got to her first right? Finders keepers and what not[/colour]" He said with a small, very nervous laugh before spotting Violet out in the open and going under the water... she knew what she was doing right? The look of fear as Violet arose from the deeper water told Slick that probably wasn't the case so after listening to Pocket he headed off to Violet who was now barely in the water, taking a seat next to her "[colour=#006400]Violet.... I saw that[/colour]" he said with a bit of an odd tone in his voice, Slick was pretty good at that. He gave Violet a tap on the nose, like a mother would do "[colour=#006400]You sill filly! You know you could have drowned out there? If you needed help then ask! Those lot might be occupied but I'm still free to teach if you want? I am a junior lifeguuaard![/colour]" he tempted with a grin "[colour=#006400]I don't bite! Cmon it'l be fun, maybe my mate Knight can help once he's done with his competition[/colour]" Slick didn't really know Violet liked Knight, but he did know they were friends and got along, at least with Slick there Violet wouldn't be drowning!

Thanks xD I wasn't really sure about the history seeing as he's only a colt but I guess that does give me something to think about... With the father thing I had a slight angle but I was pretty afraid of doing the 'my dad was the best scientist ever in the town' kind of thing. The real problem I had with the history was I was writing it out and it managed to morph in with the personality so extracting the history just came up with one and a bit lines. Will edit as soon as I have time but thanks! you've been a great help!

His father is a scientist within Trotingham and it has always made Slick gleam to see his dad doing all his experiments and to help him in tests and what not. Once they were studying wind patterns and the physics behind how the wind lifts objects. It was during this time Slick felt inspired and decided to set up an experiment on his own to see how much the force of wind is needed to affect certain objects and lift them. It was after the proud Slick submitted his evidence to his dad that the mark appeared on his flank. A leaf swirling in a gust of wind. History: Slick lives with his mother and father in the town of Trotingham and has lived there since he can remember. As explained Slick is fascinated with his fathers work within Trotingham. He has always been inspired by how his dad works since he was but a little foal, he always looked so important with his lab coat and all and that always appealed to Slick, not to mention he spent so much time with his dad it the love for science just seemed to rub off. To entertain himself through his early year Slick would just entertain himself for the most part, one of the few traits he gained from his mother, a bit of an arty Mare, always so creative. But Slick would use his imagination as all kids did, one day a guard for Celestia and the next a wizard! Or a dragon! But the only point that Slick looks back and finds himself confused is when he had his first day of school... he was so nervous and now he looks back on it, just to laugh and try as hard as he can not to be that little colt that can hardly speak to anypony. In all it's what drives him to be a better and more upbeat pony. Slick has kept friends close because he knows what it was like to loose all you have, in kindergarten Managing to loose his only friend when he moved country, so keeping a a large amount of friends is almost an insecurity, not wanting to loose them all again and be left alone, it took a lot for Slick to recover from it, going into a hermit mode where he would just lock himself in his room like his studies where his only company. Those where dark days he keeps in the back of his head as if they never exist. Character summary: Slick excels at school when it comes to physics and maths and though he is not really the greatest at them he enjoys the other subjects too but that's because for the most part, excluding a good experiment, Slicks priority in life is to just be happy! He likes to make friends and keep them, if Slick feels like he's done something wrong then there is a flurry of apologies to hope they keep him in the good books, though this does sometimes make things worse then they originally where. But probably the biggest quirk Slick has is his odd way of doing things or him just in general being a bit odd. He'l sit upside down on the bus-cart to school and just do things that most ponies see as being one slice short of a whole cake, but it doesn't really bother Slick. Unless he receives a direct insult it usually just brushes off but when it comes to a mate being in danger of insults it's a little different. Slick wants to help but doesn't really have that courage to stand up to somepony, and if you manage to either peal away and find something to insult him then he would just run away. Slick continues to delve into the scientific world when he can, though really only into the physics area he does touch up on the other branches, after school being known to be sneaking into his dads office before he gets home and being found holding a theory or another in his hooves, eyes wide and the office a mess. Keeping friends important in his life too. Slicks drive to be the 'next big scientist' in Equestria to make his dad proud having to take the back seat once in a while if somepony is in need of a pick up or just a helping hoof, though this does cause him to worry a bit too much if unable to help, almost to the point of paranoia.

Slick followed beside Knight, happy that he hadn't really capitalized on his rather bad attitude from before and not to mention he was eager to learn to surf, even putting up the challenge of a surfing cutie mark, making Slick burst out into laughter "[colour=#006400]Yea Knight, by the time you have your surfing mark I'l be growing wings[/colour]" He grinned, watching Knight get himself into a position in a smaller waved area, they were still rather large waves, just smaller surfing waves. He started to paddle hard and Slick paddled beside, keeping an eye on his mate "[colour=#006400]Yea bro! Just like that! Remember, when you stop paddling push up!! And keep your boards nose out the water![/colour]" He yelled, it was all about physics and Slick would know, the little devious mystro he was when it came to the subject! Though nopony would be able to tell when they hung around him. By the time Slick had pushed off his board he was a fair distance from Knight so that they wouldn't have a head on collision... that's never fun, well it is as long as nopony gets hurt! Then it's hilarious! But still, Knight was new and what not, probably wasn't a good idea. Slick continued on the wave until he reached the shore, the board resting nicely in the shallows next to the swimming school that was going on... everypony seemed to be very wet for a group that just started swimming... oh yea... maybe that had to do with the sudden 'cannonball' Slick heard. He looked over to where Knight was to see if he had made it in ok, or flopped onto the beach (Wrong pony Browneh! I'm Slick ya goose!)

Slick Laughed on his board as he waited out in the shallows, this was just what he needed, something to cheer him up. He watch Knight and waited until he was on his board beside him until getting a little more serious "[colour=#006400]Oh Knight... your an imbecile[/colour]" He joked with a wide grin "[colour=#006400]You don't get up straight away! You have to wait for the wave to come up behind you, then you paddle and kick in the water to try and get some speed with it. THEN you get up. Like this[/colour]" He explained, laying on his front then pushing up from his chest and quickly landing on his feet with the board shaking a bit "[colour=#006400]you have to keep your balance bro, otherwise you just fall off the sides[/colour]" He continued to explain in a calm, controlled manner before sitting back down on his board "[colour=#006400]Not to mention I should hit you SO HARD for going out there like a silly filly with no experience![/colour]" Slick ranted, sounding a little ticked off, not seeming to be in his own normal mood, a mix of his like for a certain filly and 'junior lifeguard instincts' kicking in. Slick sighed and swiveled his board round to look at Knight "[colour=#006400]Sorry bro... It's this thing with Shade... but not just that... you really shouldn't have done that without me, or at least some other pony around... I shouldn't have got so heated though...[/colour]"

As Slick brushed the the last large lump of sand that had formed in his mane, which was a really good excuse not to be looking at anypony, he felt it again, the stare that wasn't bad but admiring, it felt good! Slick even glanced up to see the smiling eyes of Shade, was there something there? But that soon changed when it was replaced by something a lot stronger, a burning glare. Slick looked up momentarily to see the eyes of Pocket burning into his soul... oh yea that was right... she was with Shade... and Slick saw it multiple times too! But why was his mind acting so stupid! Did he hit his head too hard? Well at least Knight seemed to be having a good time, guess this was revenge for the bus incident... It's not like Slick didn't deserve it. He let out a nervous laugh and rubbed the back of his head with a grin "[colour=#006400]Well sorry to scare you guys! I'm fine, guess I should just head back to the waves for now... looks like somepony else... is that Blizzy?[/colour]" He asked as he looked over, distracted for a short while before giving a quick and short kick to Knights side "Me and Knight will just head off now! Have fun eh?" He laughed, glad to start leaving, giving Shade one last look before turning around... her eyes sort of lost at sea... No Slick! She's not yours... Just forget "[colour=#006400]cmon Knight...[/colour]" He said, just loud enough for him to hear "[colour=#006400]get your rump on a board and lets surf bro[/colour]" ((Jealousy!!!))

As Derpy was grabbed she would have screamed if it weren't for the hoof that half strangled her neck as she was pulled away from the crazy pony and into the arm of the other one... of him, wait what? Derpy still couldn't understand what was going on, but what she did get was that a sharp metal object in her neck and it hurt! "[colour=#daa520]Hey! What they hay are you doing!? Get oooff!!![/colour]" She half screamed, kicking behind her, placing a few hits on her capture "[colour=#daa520]I just wanted to deliver mail!!![/colour]" She yelled again, blind to the current conversation and the black figures looming around "[colour=#daa520]It's not funny anymore!![/colour]"

Well... talk about attracting a crowd... Slick had literally just pulled his face out the sand to see others moving towards him aside from Knight who didn't seem to happy about the thoughts about a certain filly "[colour=#006400]look Knight...[/colour]" He started, the others were getting awfully close "[colour=#006400]I'l talk later[/colour]" he mumbled, just to see Shade of all fillies pop up 'at least Pocket was there too' he thought to himself sarcastically, just another pony to add to his embarrassment [colour=#800080]"Slick!! I saw the whole thing!! Are you okay?! Would you like some help up?!"[/colour]The whole thing?... Oh sweet Celestia... come on Slick, keep calm and get the hay off your rump, it's just Shade and friend and... [colour=#daa520]"Slick why am I not surprised to find you in this kind of situation?"[/colour]Oh... Gearlock too it seems... "Everypony I'm fine, seriously! Look!" he claimed, bouncing back up onto all four hooves, a normal, yet almost forced grin appearing "[colour=#006400]Please there is no need to worry![/colour]" He chimed, looking over at anypony but Shade, that would only make his cheeks red 'forget she is there! she doesn't exist!' he thought to himself, just to hear another voice... oh sweet Celestia... [colour=#282828]"Slick! Are you alright? What happened?" Well at least it was Violet... She would be more interested in Knight than him so he's off the hook when it comes to her, but they did all deserve an explanation "[/colour][colour=#006400]I was just out there and a wave got me while I was talking to those guys[/colour][colour=#282828]" He said, giving a point out to Broken's little group "[/colour][colour=#006400]I crashed but serious... I'm fine... There's no need to worry Shade[/colour][colour=#282828]" Wait what... brain!? What are you doing!? Shade hadn't said anything! Shut up!!... and how do you make the red go away quickly? The red on your cheeks? Oh [/colour]embarrassment[colour=#282828].... This will be fun....[/colour]

Slick pulled himself up off the sand with a loud groan, rubbing his head with his hoof, only to have Knight come beside him. [colour=#B22222]"You okay dude?" [/colour][colour=#006400]"Yea man... I'm... I'm ok... ugh..."[/colour]he groaned, Slicks head pounding like hell. [colour=#282828] [/colour][colour=#B22222]"You sure have a funny idea of what surfing is." [/colour]He was right, Slick had put up a rather poor display but the wave had caught him off-guard! It was not like Slick was a bad surfer, he had been doing it since a small one he just... Well it wasn't exactly his special talent now was it? "[colour=#006400]Yea I guess your right Knight... At least Shade didn't see... right? She didn't see right!?[/colour]" He asked in a bit of a panic, looking over at his buddy with a concerned look, but why was Slick so concerned about her? It was all since he thought she was looking at him... She was looking right? She was looking at him! But... what if she was watching now? Oh boy... "[colour=#006400]Knight... TELL ME she was not looking for the love of Celestia![/colour]"

"[colour=#daa520]Erm... S... Stallion??[/colour]" Derpy stuttered as she backed up to the side of the similarly coloured but darker pony, who seemed to be... talking to himself!? What the hay was going on!? Derpy turned to see the same pony, again... but he was beside her? and in front of her? What the... "[colour=#daa520]Look... What is going on!? There's something coming and you two... one? Are swinging about those... Are they keys!?[/colour]" She yelled, this day was just getting out of hand "[colour=#daa520]WHAT IS GOING ON!?[/colour]"

Derpy's rage seemed to subside as she followed the odd stallion she had just been angry at... if this pony wanted to follow that other one so bad it much be pretty important... Seeing as she was told to tag along she did, the thought of using her wings never managing to cross her mind... funny that.

"[colour=#006400]Oh hey Knight![/colour]" Slick greeted with a small hoof bump towards his good mate as he observed the happenings of the shell cracking from his board, it was quite an amusing thing to see! "[colour=#006400]And don't worry you two! Because I....[/colour]" He started before standing up on the board, saluting the ponies below in the water "[colour=#006400]Slick Pelt! Am a junior lifeguard! Anypony in trouble then I am on it![/colour]" He said proudly, looking super serious before grinning at Knight... wait was Slick moving? He looked behind him to see that he had suddenly caught a wave and was moving towards the shore at a reasonably quick pace "[colour=#006400]Ohh.... thiiis is gonna hurt...[/colour]" he muttered to himself, looking back at Knight who was now a fair bit away and giving him a worried look, not even sure if he could see Slick. But there was only one thing going through Slicks mind amazingly enough, and it wasn't 'don't die'. He looked towards the shore, no control over the board as he thought to himself 'ShadeDontSeeMe, ShadeDontSeeMe, ShadeDontSeeMe' he muttered, not sure weather she was there or not as the board suddenly hit the beach line, sending Slick flying to face plant in the sand, the board flipping to spear into the ground next to him "[colour=#006400]OOOOOOoooow...[/colour]" he squeaked as he just sat there for a moment, not quite ready to get up "[colour=#006400]my head hurts...[/colour]"

[colour=#2f4f4f]"[/colour][colour=#006400]Slick! Slick Pelt![/colour]" He laughed back to the awfully friendly pony "[colour=#006400]Nice to meet ya Broken! Would love to chat but I'm gonna catch some waves![/colour]" He announced loudly with a wide grin "[colour=#006400]Pretty sure I saw some Surfboards for rent, I'm pretty sure the waves are awesome![/colour]" He laughed, slipping on some board shorts and heading to the doorway "[colour=#006400]You Knight! Broken! And you! The awfully lonely looking guy! Get your hides out here aye? The weather looks amazing![/colour]" He laughed, his voice still being able to be heard by the colts in the cabin as he made his way to the rental place. Along the way he passed the girls cabin, Shade looking like she was just about to leave "[colour=#006400]Hey shade! Meet ya on the beach[/colour]!" He called out, giving her a welcoming grin and a small wave, trying hard not to comment on the swimsuit which was not too shabby to say the least. So Slick cleared his mind and made it to the rental place, day hire five bits? HE WAS SO IN!! He hired one that would be about his size and rushed to the beach, Flashbomb and Blizzy already down there, time to meet some new mates! He slid out on his board and drifted over next to the two "[colour=#006400]hey there guys! Not sure if I have met you guys yet... I'm Slick! Glad to meet ya![/colour]" He welcomed, sticking out a hoof while he sat on the board, just chilling out at sea for now.

[colour=#696969]"Eye, eye, eye, eyes! Um..er...have you seen an optometrist about that?" [/colour]Eyes? What the hay was he?... I oh... that... Funny how no matter who the pony was they seemed to pick up on her eyes first... It wasn't like it was her fault! She couldn't control them they just... wondered about... But before Derpy was able to make a complaint to the stallion she was being ordered about! Follow him? She was going to do that alright, and give the mouthy stallion a piece of her mind. She followed him after picking herself up from the ground, trying to catch up but the odd stallion seemed determined to follow some poor pony, bet he or she was different somehow too! This guy is so mean! She eventually caught up beside him and did her best looking glare, trying to look threatening "[colour=#daa520]Hey! You can't just do that! Why is it that every new pony has to tease me about my eyes! I can't help it![/colour]" She complained, the two still cantering along to keep up with the pony they were following "[colour=#daa520]You don't even know my name! How can you be so mean!?[/colour]" She asked, not seeming to get any answers...

Derpy hooves had started this day like every other, she climbed... well fell... out of bed and got herself ready for her long day of work, mail was not going to deliver itself! And even if Derpy did admittedly mess up an address or two with everypony knowing somepony who knows somepony, the mail got there... eventually. Derpy was set after having herself an egg sandwich for breakfast and escaping her Cloudsdale home to deliver mail to the folks of Ponyville! They were always so nice to her there, she was so glad that was her place to deliver and not anywhere else. She took of with a small hitch and made it to Ponyville more or less on time. Derpy pulled out a letter and read the address outloud, it helped her to figure it out usually "[colour=#a9a9a9]Time... Spinner![/colour]" She said happily with a bit of a grin "Never heard of that pony before! He must be knew to town! I should go say hi!" She said allowed to herself, not noticing that her mail bag had tipped, spilling half of its contents onto the ground. She took off quickly as she knew the address for once but halfway to her destination she kinda... forgot where she was going. Last thing she did remember though was speeding into someponie's (That"s you Time) door, getting a little disorientated a little by the hit "[colour=#a9a9a9]huh?... what the hay happened?[/colour]" She asked to nopony in particular... that hurt a lot...

(Not sure if cannon O.o But we are at the sea! Not the lake!) Slick had followed Mis Licorice around, noting places of interest to himself as they went, most notable was the beach and how awesome it looked! The colours were like Slick had never seen before and just staring at the water... that was going to look so cool at night with the moon... But anyway, Slick proceeded to where the cabins where and eventually they came to the one he was sharing! And he had all his colt bus mates in it too! Awesome! Though the girls weren't exactly next door, with another group of guys being between them it was still close enough! Slick dashed in and got first pick of beds! Sweet! He galloped over to the bunk on the left, beside the window and hopped up onto the top one, swinging his bag on the bunk underneath for Knight, bros have to stick together, it's a rule somewhere... The bed was great, soft, warm, large enough for the colt, but it was it's position that was important. The bed was right next to the window closest to the girls cabin, this meant that at night it was going to be easy to sneak out and head over to the girls left side and grab them! Only problem is... The teacher was right next to the girls cabin... hopefully they had a window on the right side that he could sneak in... "[colour=#006400]This is going to be soo cool!![/colour]" He shoted out at his cabin mates, the widest of grins on his face as they came in.

Hey, not sure if anyone else is interested right now O.o We could just get rolling and then others can join in where they see fit?

Slick grabbed Knights hoof and the two made there way off the bus, some fresh air would do the two good, Knight was waay to close to freaking out just then, but maybe it would grow on him? Maybe, hooves crossed, Knight may even like Violet back? Who would know... When Slick and Knight got off the bus he pulled Knight aside, looking at him a little worried "You ok bro? Not going to flip out?" He asked, a hoof on Knights shoulder "[colour=#006400]You did good bro, I'm proud of ya, seeing your... situation when it comes to fillies...[/colour]" Slick let out a long sight, looking around, nopony was close enough to hear the two just yet but Shade and Violet would soon come off the bus... maybe they might be looking for the two "[colour=#006400]Look Knight... I need to know. Why don't you trust fillies? Surely something has happened in your past that has made you... you know, the pony you are[/colour]" He gave Knight a confident look, hoping to inspire his dear friend, keep his courage up "[colour=#006400]You can tell me bro, it'l do you good.[/colour]"

Fireheart thought that was rather an odd question, did he trust this random and obviously strange stranger? Well no, but this must be some part of the trick where some people might back out and 'increase the tension'... So Fireheart nodded, shrugging off the question like it was nothing "ofcourse, like I said, go ahead, I would like to see you try" He said again, wanting this to get over with so he could just get back to his mates and continue the night.

"[colour=#006400]Oh Shade you silly filly! That was only a dare I gave him![/colour]" Sleek said, quickly looking over at Shade with a small grin "though... he did go in a rather... odd... direction..."He added before looking back to see Violet taking the candy from Knights nose, anypony that didn't know what was going on would think they were kissing! Slick couldn't help but blush for Knight out of pure empathy, the poor colt must be dying on the inside! The world around Slick just seemed to stand still, ponies were slowly getting off the bus around the 4 pony group but it was like it didn't exist. Slick closed his eyes tight, muttering to himself over and over [colour=#006400]"please Knight, don't freak...[/colour]" he muttered continuously, opening one eye to see what was going on... cmon Knight... be a strong colt!

Fireheart stood up from his group of mates, looking at the odd pony that shouted absurd accusations "Turn ponies into wolves? I would like to see you do that!" He said in a cocky tone, stepping right up to the pony "go on then? Turn me into a scary wolf that howls at the moon!" He laughed, looking back to his mates back in the crowd "I would like to see you try!"

(I don't think I'm gonna post yet, waiting for the cute couple to do shiz, but yea I think guys and gals cabins. Dunno about you lot but Slicks going to be swimming when night comes, and Ms Licorice never said anything about windows!!!)

Though a little confused, Slick handed Shade one of his candies (wow that feels so weird for me to type 'candy') If she was just hungry she ofcourse could just eat it but when Slick heard the dare he nearly ended up chocking on the candy he was eating, staring at Knight in horror 'oh the poor guy...' he thought to himself, his gaze swapping from Shade to Violet and then back to Knight, Slick would have been ok if Knight were to say no, this was a HUGE step for him! It was even more shocking when Knight accepted!! Was he feeling ok? Or had Slick done a good enough job to actually make him feel a little bit better with fillies? "[colour=#006400]WHaaaaa!?[/colour]" He let out in shock, wanting to look away but ofcourse he couldn't, his candy like popcorn to the show that was about to unfold, he turned to look at Shade, still in shock "[colour=#006400]Do you know how he is with fillies? I wouldn't be surprised if he passed out![/colour]" Slick whispered, thinking for a second... 'wait... this is hilarious!' he thought to himself before looking back at Knight, his expression looked so awkward, Slick had to keep a straight face, for Knights sake 'you can do it buddy...' he thought to himself, hoping all would go well

Oh yes! And another question, is this infection still ongoing? The one from hearts and hooves day?
