I just witnessed StarTalk hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson (with a great panel of comedians and scientists) be crashed by Bill Nye 1/3 of the way in. So... In the span of 2 weeks I have seen Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Neil deGrasse Tyson AND Bill Nye live. As a geek/nerd, I do believe that is grounds for dying happy.

Forgot how much time it took to even out my workload for school after a break. :C Art school should be more portable.

After so many weeks without, I finally have a new laptop. Expect me to soon return to pony posting at full speed.

With my Professor accepted, I can basically start my adventure thread stuff. Just need to pin down a few ideas.

It's been drizzling all day. It's not much, but every little bit counts. Unfortunately after today it will be hot, dry, and windy once more until Thursday. Our much needed downpour is nowhere in the near future.

Fire situation is worsening. Not sure if I'll be around much in the near future.

Fire Update: The evacuation for the community nearest the fire has been lifted and officials seem to be very positive. We do, however, have a week of hot temperatures and high winds approaching so all are remaining cautious. Here's to hoping we get things under control before the heat hits!

The sister community to my town is being evacuated, which means we'll be sharing the house with my cousins's family for a while! I will be scarce online the next few days.

Bit of an update. With the forest fire still going strong and no signs of rain (beyond the meagre 1mm we're getting tomorrow), the community nearest the fire is on standby for evacuation and if that goes through then my presence will be very scarce online, as we'll be having family staying with us temporarily! Two children and a dog...our hands will be full!
