  1. Yay! Actually got more work done on my app for Lily. Now if I could only apply that same effort to the essay I'm supposed to write.

  2. EDIT: Added a few more paragraphs to character summary. Something still feels a bit off about her, like she doesn't quite fit what I'm picturing, so I'm leaving her as a WIP for now. Feedback is welcomed.
  3. EDIT: Age amended. Character Summary still in progress.
  4. (OOC: So are we rebooting post order in interest of saving the RP? if not after this round we can return to the original order. I also just realized I've completely forgotten to use my text color this whole rp. Oops.) The colt's question caught Breeze off-guard. Did he have a dream? Sure, there were things he liked and enjoyed about life, but he had pretty much all he wanted. There were a few things here and there, but nothing really called to him. He felt a groan rising within him. He opened his mouth to speak, but then one of the other stallions, the pegasus, spoke. "Well....That's a bit of an odd subject uh...Nighthoof...." Breeze nodded, not quite sure what he wanted from this world. "I guess you could say I'm still looking for mine......What about you Nighthoof?" Breeze wanted to chuckle as the stallion turned the question back at the colt, but then it struck him. "My dream... I want to know my mom. I can't get straight answers from anyone about what she was like 'cept my aunt and I can rarely make the trip over to see her. " Breeze suddenly blushed as he realized his outburst had cut into Colton's question. "Uh... sorry. I got kinda caught up in my own thoughts there." He gave an awkward smile. "No harm no foul, am I right?" He glanced over at the sparrow darting about near Colton, "Or fowl in this case I s'pose."

Likes: Rain, Heat, Poetry, Gardening, Conversation. Dislikes: Comments about her eyes, Frost, Getting Lost. Character Summary: Lily was born on a hot summer day to a pair of Earth Pony wandering merchants, Silver Ray and Lemon Star. At a young age she would run off, exploring various parts of the town or region they were currently visiting, popping into a school for classes when there was one available and willing to take her for her brief stay. This changed abruptly after the incident in the Everfree Forest. Still early in her foalhood, Lily’s parents were occupied selling their wares in Ponyville when she decided to go explore the nearby forest. She wandered around for quite some time and eventually encountered a manticore. The beast never noticed her, but the mere sight of it prompted her to run away in fear. She accidentally stumbled during her run, and fell face first from a short cliff onto a sheet of ragged rock. She was knocked unconscious and found by her parents hours later. When she awoke, they discovered she had lost her sight. Lily’s adaption was a slow one. She had gotten quite accustomed to the wandering life and now, blinded in her foalhood, it was near impossible for her to continue it. She grew bitter, lashing out at other ponies and her parents when they would try to console her. Eventually Silver Ray and Lemon Star were unable to deal with their daughter’s new, thorny disposition and left her in the town of Canterlot, leaving her in the care of Lemon Star’s mother and father, Venus Gleam and Opal Glow. Opal Glow, a unicorn, had always been somewhat distant from the rest of his family, somewhat saddened by the lack of magic that continued in the family line, and for the most part left Lily and Venus to do as they wished together. Lily’s time with her grandmother is something she looks back upon with great regret. In retrospect, she can see the mare had a great deal of love for her, and was truly trying to look out for her best interests. Back in her late foalhood however, this was not as clear to her. The old mare and her had a tenuous relation at best, Lily doing little else but attending a local school and working in the back of Venus’ herb store. The mare had her granddaughter learn the scent of certain herbs, subsequently having the foal pick herbs from along the city’s edge and obtain herbs growing the greenhouse backend of her store. The elderly mare walked alongside her at first, something Lily resented at the time as she thought it was a form of pity, but now realizes the mare was merely trying to help her granddaughter avoid getting lost. It was one day, when Venus had Lily make a blend herself that her cutie mark appeared. Only a few months later, shortly after Lily aged into a fine young filly, Venus passed away. Lily attended the mare’s funeral despite the strained relationship, and was rather angry when Opal Glow reluctantly told her that her parents weren’t there. Over the next few years, Lily and her grandfather grew much closer than they had ever been during Venus’ life. They were each other’s last connection to the old mare, and this became their bond. Opal assumed ownership of Venus’ store, but he has let Lily take over the general operation of the place. Lily has learned a great deal of her grandmother’s recipes from Opal, the old stallion reading to her the specific blends from the books he scribed for Venus while she had developed the formula’s oh so long ago. As a result of these teachings, Lily has managed to keep the store alive, and is on track to lead the small shop to some of its best years in sales yet. She now has the city of Canterlot thoroughly mapped out in her head, and has a good grasp of the surrounding area as well. Lily is shining example, and is proud to be so, of someone living a fully functional life, regardless of disability. She has become quite passionate in her temperament, refusing to back down in issues that she believes she is truly in the right in. She still fosters her sense of adventure, but her acquire taste for pragmatics and caution has grown strong enough to trump it in most occasions. Lily Dawn:
  6. I'm done with the first round of midterms and have a good two weeks before the next batch. This is good. I've also fallen in love with one of my good friends. I wish this was good, but it's debatable.

  7. Breeze looked down at the super-colt, the young pony's disappointment was rather obvious. Poor kid, he's tryin' hard, he thought. He sneaked a sympathetic gesture the colts direction, hoping the young 'hero' wouldn't take it the wrong way. He then started to turn to the chef, but his eyes widened as he realized something. The pegasus abruptly looked back, then sighed; a wave of relief flying through him as he saw the bit filled bucket was still where he'd dropped it. He turned back to Cask, a smile easily now coming to him. "Sir," Breeze said, tipping his head slightly, "I have to say, I think that'd work much better. M' day has already been a mite bit longer than I'd hoped," he said, holding out a hoof to the narcoleptic stallion. "I'm Zephyr Breeze, it's a pleasure to meet you Cellar Cask."
  8. Breeze regarded the newly awakened pony. He was tempted to say no, it'd been a long day and he was very tired, but food... It was a compelling offer. Besides, the earth pony chef's name rung a bell in Breeze's head, though what it was related to he wasn't quite sure. "I didn't exactly do much sir... I just showed up 'round here right 'fore you woke up. I su'pose it's the colt and filly who deserve most the credit." Breeze's stomach took it upon itself to voice it's own opinion, a large growl of hunger rumbling from it. "Though I guess, if you were still so inclined, I'd be a fool to turn down your kind gift." The green pegasus' eye fell to the ground. An' now here I am trying to get somethin' for doin' nothin'. Don't feel too right but I do need some food, he thought, hopefully they don't mind me sayin' yes too much.
  9. Zephyr Breeze slowly trotted down the empty sidewalk, the patter of his hooves melding into the steady noise of the city around him. It was dark, and it was rather empty, yet Manehattan still seemed alive, a gentle hum of activity still lingering. It was one of the few things Breeze liked about his home. Breeze winced as the bucket he carried in his mouth struck the edge of an uneven panel of sidewalk, the metal’s sudden vibration causing his jaw to burst into a sudden aching pain. He quickly dropped the bucket, the bits he'd earned for his extra work crying out as they bounced withing, and raised a hoof to massage his jaw. “Ain’t this just how these days go…? Doin’ one good thin’ just makes the rest of the day harder.” He’d worked overtime at the wind farm today. There were few things Breeze did not enjoy in this world, and one of them was overtime. To top that off, it was dark out by the time Breeze had finished up, and he while he was a fan of Luna’s night, he didn’t enjoy the darkness part too much, only liked the stars. With a sigh, he grabbed the bucket again. He just wanted to be home. Breeze rounded the corner almost to his home, but then stopped short, his bucket sliding out of his gaping mouth. About a block away, he could see a group of ponies, one of them struggling to move a stallion. After a second of dumbfounded staring, he realized two things. A) The stallion was unconscious. B) One of the two younger ponies was in a costume of sort. Concerned and confused, Zephyr Breeze spread his sore wings and sped forward, his worn wings’ heavy flaps echoing through the street. Stopped a few feet away from the colt carrying the man, and started to ask a question, but then realized the colt was struggling to carry the stallion. “Um… would you like some help with that?” Breeze asked, suddenly unsure of what to do in the new situation.
  10. Silver Stare carefully maneuvered her way (Athletics Roll - 10) to the towel, her hooves lightly sliding against the wet bottom of the tub.I probably should have just used magic, she thought to herself, begrudging her own stubbornness. It's their magic, I thought. Don't let yourself use their methods, I thought. They hated you and sealed you away, I thought. Silver Stare made a face. I'm an idiot. Turning back now though was stupid, at least in her mind. Eventually, she reached the towel. Delicately, firmly locking her legs so she wouldn't slip, she lowered herself to the towel and picked it up in her mouth. When the dreadful taste of the fabric touched her tongue however, she thought better of it. Um... Magic isn't too terrible... She dropped the towel and began to levitate it above her head using her magic. Surprisingly, just holding the towel above her head was not too difficult. After another minute of elegant hoof-work (Athletics Roll - 12), she climbed out of the tub with a worn but gleeful smile. She'd done it. A groan escaped from her. "Now for the rest..."
  11. WOOT! Welcome to Canterlot! It's always great to have another join the community! And icy weather? I was raised in a desert mi compadre. Heat and me can go all day long.
  12. YES! INTP! MY BRETHREN! OUR KIND SHALL TRULY INHERIT THE EARTH! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! *ahem* Excuse. An outburst you say? What? I had nothing of the sort. I merely said 'Welcome to Canterlot'. Why? What did you think I said?
  13. Hello hello good sir. I hope you do find yourself quite at home at Canterlot. You're already done a great job of acquainting yourself with the rule, which is fantastic! Not related to that however, I'm quite happy to see another soul has wandered here. Welcome to Canterlot! I hope you enjoy your stay.
  14. It's funny. You sit around all day, and it can be extremely difficult to be anything remotely close to creative. Then you try to fall asleep and it's like WHAM! IDEAS!

  15. I disregard this senseless continuation of reaffirmation of the term "Pegasister". WELCOME TO CANTERLOT! It's great to see new people join up on the forum. My name, as those handy little words above my avatar has kindly informed you, is Zephyr Breeze. I am, for those times I am active here, insane but calculated in all paradoxical manners that that may appear. If this makes no sense, then alas, I have began babbling. If it actually makes sense, then SUCCESS! Regardless, it's always great to see another person join this fantastic forum. It's also nice to see that someone closer to the target audience actually does enjoy this show (seriously, I've only had six thirty minute conversations with humans of the female variety while I was admiring the My Little Pony toys. I say admire as I have never actually purchased one myself, though I do own one). And now I know I'm babbling... BACK TO SUBJECT. I hope you have a fantastic time here, and enjoy every second you stay with us in the Canterlot community. I know I'm not on often enough to back this up too well, but I offer my hoof in friendship to you Miss. GOOD DAY(/GOOD NIGHT)!
  16. Silver Stare: Favor: 6 - Stress: 0/0 Silver Stare sighed as she began to sift through the towels (Skill Check - 15). "Shouldn't take too long," she mused to herself, trying to keep herself upbeat as she drudged through the rather menial task. She frowned slightly, using her hooves for such a task felt weird. She was sure she'd accomplish it much quicker with the clawed fingers of her previous form... but the risk it warranted outweighed any gain in her opinion. "Probably would tear one knowing my luck." She chuckled, but the laugh gave way to a groan. There was no hiding it. While she was thankful to Princess Celestia, and she would do all that she could to be helpful to the Princess Luna, this job was going to be... unpleasant.
  17. Silver Stare: Favor: 6 - Stress 0/0 Silver Stare sighed. "Well then, since those two have followed the plan so well, we might as well carry on." She turned away from the other maids, heading towards the door. "Make sure you check out the store room," she called out as she sauntered out of the room, "I'll take care of the bathroom." She smiled as she trotted down the hallway. She was alone for a brief moment, and it was relaxing to have a chance to think. It passed quickly though, as it wasn't long before she was in front of the bathroom. Her smile sagged slightly, but remained firmly present, and with a hushed groan, Silver Stare opened the door.
  18. ...BED. I SHOULD BE IN YOU.

OOOO! I like this. Quite a lot. Now must go comment on your lovely Fluttershy piece. Hold on a moment.
  22. Silver Stare: Favor: 6 - Stress 0/0 Silver Stare smiled gently. "Excuse me, I think I have an idea where we should head off to..." she glanced at the door briefly "I'm not sure, but I think we should be able to find hammers, brooms, quills, ink, candles, and maybe even the statuette if were lucky, in the storeroom." She paused, glancing nervously at the pegasus who had been staring at her earlier. "Again, I'm not quite sure, but I think that'd be a good place to start." Silver Stare continued to watch her cream observer. She knows something... Something about that pegasus sent chills running through her spine, they felt somehow both terrible and natural to her. Never a good sign, she thought, a frown crossing over her features, as she waited to hear what the others thought of what she'd said.
