History:

Early Life: Might was born into a fairly large Trottingham country family, which would only become larger as time went on. He'd already had three older brothers (Century Runner, Yorker Pitch, and Bowled Wicket; cricketers all), and after him came a set of three younger sisters (Lavender Ink, High Pitch, and Dog Trotter; of more varied talents). His parents were the sort that hade made enough money in the city to settle comfortably in the country, as had become the habit of most prosperous Trottingham families at that time.

His foalhood was about as happy as one could wish it. The rolling hills outside the town were as good a play-ground as any in Equestria, he'd always gotten along pretty well with his parents. He was a kind older brother to his sisters, especially Lavender, and a scrappy, but admiring, younger brother to his elders, and so whiled away the hours as in the golden age.

Cutie Mark Story: It was always assumed that Might Batsman would be a cricketer, like his older brothers. He'd never minded the assumption himself; when he was younger his brothers would practice their bowling with a soft ball, and let him try his best to keep it out of the wicket with his bat, while his sisters fielded. Even from an early age, he could generally hit the ball far enough out of their reach to score singles.

His parents, always proud of their colt's prowess on the pitch, would sometimes have a cricket professional come down and coach them, and Might looked forward to the day he would finally be old enough to match himself against a real pro's bowling. When the day came, he stepped with excited nervousness up to the wicket- and promptly had his leg-stump set at a 45-degree angle.

Might Batsman, however, wasn't the sort to be deterred from simple failure, and he kept practicing. It was during this time that he went through something of an early growth spurt, which took the pro by surprise when he came down next summer to coach the colts. He started out for a half-volley, and Might scored a hit in the center of his bat, sending the ball rolling out of the pitch. It was his first Boundary, only a four-pointer, but the moment stuck with him. None of his brothers had ever scored a boundary that young, and he felt it a good sign of things to come. It was at this moment that his sister excitedly squealed that Might had gotten his cutie mark.

School Days and Later Life: Might could always be counted on to bat for the school teams, whatever school he went to. It isn't too much to say that it was the consuming passion of his life, the one thing he could do exceptionally well at. However, as he accumulated "centuries" on the scoreboard, his marks began dropping in his academic classes. His father, an easygoing stallion most of the time, couldn't keep overlooking this, no matter how often Might had led his school through their key games in the cricket season.

Finally, the thing had come to a head. His marks had dipped so low that Might's father put his foot down. Might would have to be sent to a different school, far enough from Trottingham and Canterlot that cricket would no longer be a threat to him graduating. This was, to say the least, unpalatable for the colt, but he knew that appeal was useless, and he couldn't really blame his father. His brothers sympathized, his sisters commiserated, and Might was in low spirits as he packed his bags off to Southern Equestria, to go to a school on the Strand.

This is where we find our hero now.

Character Summary: In most respects, Might is a perfectly ordinary pony. He possesses an average intelligence, a reasonably decent set of manners, and a tolerable dose of handsomeness, if you like the open-air country type. He speaks simply, and almost never at length. He's a good listener, who can manage to look interested in what a pony is saying even if he's bored to tears.

In two things, however, he is quite extraordinary. The first is his skill as a cricket batspony. There's none like him for keeping the ball out of his wicket, and as for scoring runs, on a well-kept pitch he's practically guaranteed a century (100 runs).

The second is his devotion to his friends. He has a way of finding them in odd places, and he'll go any length to understand and help out a pal, without even thinking about it...

Flaws: ... which, more often than not, gets him into trouble. He really won't think about it; if you raise a hoof to strike one of his friends, he'll step right in to block you, no matter the bad odds he brings on himself in a fight. He'll do most any favour you ask of him, however ill-conceived or dangerous. Although honest in matters concerning himself, he'll happily perjure himself to get a pal out of trouble. Might's friends make for a very easy handle to manipulate him.

On a lesser note, his lack of ready speech at times of emotional crisis can be both a good and a bad thing. Although he makes for a sympathetic listener in times of distress, he's not too good at coming up with comforting words, being a colt of action. His discomfort resulting from his shyness also leaves him vulnerable to suggestion, often leading him to do the first thing that comes into his head to try to remedy the situation, whether or not it helps.

The app looks good, for the most part. I'd say that I see only one change that would be a barrier otherwise, and that would be the part where he strikes first/discussing how he's quick to throw down if his friends are threatened. It is less the idea that he would defend his friends and more that it makes him seem like he is an aggressive, violent character. Change it, tone it down, then I'll pass it up for review!

Also, remove the telephone part.:P
