(Is around seven posts too early to post this? Oh well, I guess, if it is just tell me.)

Roleplay Type: World of Equestria

Name: Heart Line

Sex: Male

Age: Young Stallion

Species: Unicorn

Eye Colour: Dark Cyan

Coat: Brown, plain, with no major markings. Occasionally wears a cyan necktie - mainly for formal functions - but this is not often.

Physique: On the thin side, but of an average pony build. He isn't particularly strong, granted, but he's not completely puny either.

Residence: Canterlot.

Occuptation: Romantic Counsellor, generally with already-established relationships as opposed to lone individuals.

Life History:

Foal:
Heart’s life as a foal was nothing majorly special. Born to a lawyer father and a priestess mother who both specialised in marriages, some ponies may be inclined to say his following in their footsteps to at least some degree was inevitable.

However, as a foal, he showed no overt abilities beyond that of a normal unicorn foal. He was, after all, a baby, and babies don’t tend to think about romance.

Colt:
Heart’s cutie mark story is a fairly lengthy one. His time at school, while generally pleasant – he had no major bully issues, or anything similar – was dominated by him helping everypony else with their muddling attempts into the world of relationships, particularly when having a marefriend was the 'in' thing to do.

Ponies that knew who his parents were flocked to him for advice, even after he stated he ‘didn’t know much about it’, and ponies who didn't know soon found out from word of mouth. It's a hard thing to keep quiet, much to Heart's chargrin.

There was one notable couple in the school whom just couldn’t decide what they were doing. Every day, news passed of their breakup or getting-together, occasionally more often than once. And, sure enough, ponies started suggesting that Heart should get involved to help them choose, if only to get them to give him some peace and quiet.

That – even though he refused – did happen, eventually. He had just walked in on them, and… he snapped, in short. The fact that ponies kept going to him for advice he didn't enjoy giving at that stage in this life plus the constant stress caused throughout the school by this pair of ponies made him unleash a rant he now terms a 'romantic diatribe.'

After hearing this, the two ponies decided to take a proper shot at it – and they were still together when he left education. After the diatribe, his ever-familiar Cutie Mark appeared with a shine on his flank, and he was forced to admit he had a knowledge of Romance that was a bit more than the average pony. The fact ponies could now say it was his special talent didn't help matters for him.

Stallion:
Heart’s office – which doubles as his home – has seen fairly light activity. While it means he does live on the light side; keeping things frugal; he is happy to do so. He offers small pieces of advice for nothing, but will actively counsel a couple and help them through their issues for a small fee per every few appointments.

He has not really been active in the high life of Canterlot society, instead preferring to observe it and assist couples when he can. He enjoys making friends, however, and is never averse to heading out and about should the opportunity arise. Given his line of work, heading out and about in Canterlot itself can be problematic - he's either accosted for advice or has to keep clear of particular ponies.

Heart’s current life goals can be summed up fairly easily; “Have an actual happy relationship”, “Help as many ponies as possible”, and his final third goal is “Meet his patron princess, Princess Cadence”, but that’s on the backburner for him - he doesn't really consider it obtainable.

Character Summary:

Heart Line is a hopeless romantic, and has a liking of the softer things in life. That isn't to say he won't get his hooves dirty now and again, but he will prefer a hot bath over a shower any day. His romantic plots - generally only enacted when a couple needs serious help, and even then, not very often - are really the only thing he ever plans. With everything else romantic, he's in a constant rush, particularly if he is involved in it directly.

He can be considered rude sometimes, but that's mostly due to his 'radical honesty' which he finds helps him be a decent counsellor - if you've been thinking it and get asked, say it. Ponies who get past that, however, will find somepony always willing to help out with anything anypony else has going on - if he can help, he will, even if it's at a detriment to himself. He's also fiercely against violence, but will defend anypony he can if he can - no matter what the inevitable outcome will be. It has gotten him into more than one sticky situation.

Due to being raised and living in Canterlot, he naturally has a level of politeness matching what you would expect - or not, depending on whom you met there. Having seen most of the Canterlot ponies at their best and their worst, he tends to not judge a pony based on their first impression alone.

Of course, as a unicorn, he has the natural magic avaliable to unicorns - such a levitation and the like - but none of that is even remotely related to any of his skills. He's just talented with reading ponies and relationships, and just as good at dishing out advice about them. Of course, that hasn't stopped a few ponies thanking 'the magic of his words' and the facehooves they promptly induce.

"I am quite honestly done with hearing about your latest escapdes in the repetive soap opera you call your relationship! Ponies who truly like each other - with

actual feelings behind them

- would spend more than a single day together before breaking apart over the most minute of flaws! Real couples don't break up because of flaws, they try to help the pony fix them! To improve themselves, to be the pony they know they can be! A real couple wouldn't be so finicky about somepony they actually

claim to like!

So, since you obviously don't fall into that category, either break up and spare us all the unwanted knowledge of the imminent trainwreck that is to be your love lifes, or give your relationship an actual try that is not just an attempt to boost your social standings with the so called school 'elite'!"

Heart Line, on a relationship that was driving everypony crazy.

I love this! It's like a ponyfied Hitch :D

I really like this character, and see no outstanding problems with it, but I'm a little iffy on the whole relationship counsler thing. While it's an incredibly original idea, and I simply adore it, I'm not sure how the Helpstaff will respond to it. I really really hope they let it through, though. I love how you nerfed his powers a bit with that spell flaw.

Overall, a great app. Hope to see Heart in ManeRP soon. :D

Before I review this app can you please take all the colour out of the app and I must also inform you that an app has to be written in third person by you not with context from your pony.

How ever if you wish to have your pony still state that small bit please put it into a spoiler using the spoiler tags.

Thank you,

Alison.

As for the review of the app I would like to point out that we do not ask for any information about your relationship and/or orientation.

Please remove the sentence at the end of the app "And, finally, he is an absolute idiot when it comes to crushes that he has. Nopony knows why, but he spends more time fretting and worrying about it than the most dramatic mares in all of Equestria! (Well, maybe bar a couple.)" as it is right against these rules. if you wish to develop a relationship please do so in the actual RP and not by stating facts such as this in your app.

Secondly I notice that you talk a lot using parenthesis, is there anyway that you can take the words you have in those and work them into the app as part of the information rather then a side note?

Stripped out the patenthesis..es.. and I'll try and break my habit of using them. Moved the example of a diatribe to the bottom of the application which also removed the colour issues, and and removed the segment that wasn't needed.

In addition, might I make it known that my intent was NOT to claim that Heart has crushes, but rather to provide the fact that when he does, he's a bit of a twit about it. Still removed it, but I figured clarifying that wouldn't hurt.

Thanks.

Hi! This application looks good to me -- in fact, I'd approve it right now, except for one little tidbit: we don't allow mention of cast characters without permission. We do this for numerous reasons, with the top priority to retain consistency and to honor the control and choices of the cast player and their character. To give one example, without this rule, Rainbow Dash would have 6,252,513 OCs she "knew in flight school," which would be terribly confusing.

In this case, it is Princess Cadance; you may either remove the reference from your application, or ask permission from her player (Crystalheart). Once you've done either, simply reply here and I will stamp this application.

Thanks! :)

I have spoken to Crystalheart, and they said that it's fine; so it should be okay.

Much obliged, Rosewind~

As for the 6,252,513 OC's thing; that's both sheer frightening plus an oddly specific number.
