Though Cloudsdale was home to Whirligig, she still enjoyed travelling. She'd visited various cities in Equestria, from Stalliongrad to Ponyville. She wasn't really a globe-trotter, but every once in a while, the travelling bug would bite her for a weekend or so and she would suddenly decide to leave her home and see the world. It was such a wide, wide world.

One evening, she was at a restaurant with some of her friends as a result of Eastra being back from University in Canterlot for her mid-semester break. She and some friends had been talking about their travels, and Merry Ray mentioned Las Pegasus.

"I've never been to Las Pegasus before," Whirligig had said.

Her friends stared at her, dumbfounded.

"You, the travelling pony who adores clouded cities, have never been to Las Pegasus?" Merry Day exclaimed.

"No," Whirligig replied, taking another sip of her cocktail. "Why? Is it really actually amazing?"

"Yes!" three ponies answered at the same time. "You have to go!"

Whirligig shrugged. "Alright, I'll go have a look. I'm free next weekend; does anypony want to go with me?"

"I'll be back in Canterlot then."

"Dizzy and I are going to Ponyville."

"Sorry, I have to work weekends."

"Would love to, but I have to babysit my little sisters."

"Great, you girls are awesome," Whirligig replied sarcastically. "Come on you guys, it won't be any fun on my own! I travel solo enough as it is."

But Whirligig still wanted to go. She had heard about the city and seen black-and-white photographs. She resolved to ask her brother to go with her, and was on her way to the post office with a letter inviting him along when she collided with a familiar yellow-maned weather pony. She recognized this pony as Flashbomb, a newcomer to Cloudsdale she had befriended a few days prior. When asked what her hurry was, she explained, in her usual fashion, much more than the pony needed to know. The conversation had ended with her inviting him to accompany her to Las Pegasus. Unlike her friends from earlier, he accepted the invitation.

Plans were made, a route was decided on (fly down to Ponyville, then grab an overnight train from there. It was a long trip, after all), saddlebags were packed, and within a few days, the two ponies were headed south, on their way to Las Pegasus.

"This is so exciting, Flashbomb! I've heard so much about Las Pegasus and I can't believe I've never been." Whirligig could barely sit down or contain her excitement. The train ride had been rather long and boring, but finally the engine rounded a bend along the southern tip of the Everfree Forest, and the city that was part cloud, part mountain came into view. Within due time, the train pulled into the mountainside station and the two Cloudsdaleites disembarked from the carriage, Whirligig chattering away ceaselessly.

"Wow, this place is amazing! Did you see that rainbowfall from the train? It was just like the ones we have in Cloudsdale! And that big casino with all the neon lights. That looks like a huge shopping centre over that way. And look, over there! Unicorns and earth ponies walking on clouds! Oh, this place really is magical! I'm so glad you agreed to come with me, Flashbomb, even though we've only just met. It wouldn't have been quite as much fun all by myself! Oh, I'm so excited I don't even know where to look first! What about you? Where do you want to go? You decide what we should do first!"

Light sipped from his glass. He glanced around the restaurant with a small half smile on his face. He smiled at a few ponies at another table.

"Enjoying the food?" He said in a voice different from his usual one. He then chuckled at the ponies.

One of the ponies was about to reply but her friend silenced her. The two ponies giggled slightly. Light could tell that they thought he was trying to flirt with them. He didn't even think about that but he realized that his voice tone was a bit not like what he intended. He rolled his eyes and then went back to his own business.

Light moves both of his front hooves on the table. It wasn't really what most ponies did. Ponies didn't put their hooves on the table they were eating or drinking off of. But Light didn't care.

He looked down at his hooves and smiled. His hooves had proved themselves to him. He realized his life would pretty much be over if he had no hooves.

He smiled a warm smile. Being a musician pony and all. He needed his hooves. He kept his hooves on the table and looked down at his cutie mark. The two connected music notes made him giggle. Funny, stallions didn't really giggle. The laughed or chuckled.

Light cleared his throat and then put his hooves off of the table. He then sat up and proceeded to trot out of the restaurant.

When he opened the door he shut his eyes as the sunlight hit them. He had to let his eyes adjust. He had forgotten how long he had been in there.

Once his eyes were adjusted he looked around the bustling streets of Las Pegasus. He always thought the name was funny since he himself was a unicorn. He took a quick glance down at his body and laughed at his wingless-ness. Light then decided to go somewhere.

He thought about where he could go. He could go home...or he could try and go somewhere new. He could visit a casino and waste his life away like someponies. But no. Light didn't want to do that. He had a friend who had lost most of his bits in a casino. Light knew the repercussions

Light then took a heavy sigh and decided it was best for him to just go home. When he started to trot in that direction he accidentally bumped into a mare. He quickly apologized but the mare accusted him of trying to steal something and hit him with her bag. The hit didn't hurt. It was just annoying. Light then moved on and started to trot home. He had forgotten how long of a walk it was going to be.

Flashbomb had accompanied his friend Whirligig on a trip to las pegasus. He had never been anywhere other than the small town of ponyville and Cloudsdale, this was a new adventure for him. He had packed his bags full of many essentials and Brought them along for the trip.

He met Whirligig at a randevous in Cloudsdale and flew from there to Ponyville. He Wondered what drove him to tag along with her, he figured it was a nice thing to do and that she would have much more fun on the endeavour if she had accompaniment. Eventually after the flight through the skies they had arrived at the Train station. Flash had bought his ticket from the booth and held it in his hoof, the feeling of the paper and how it was his key to the city of lights and lost fourtunes.

The train ride was very......very long, but He didnt mind. He enjoyed the games that he and Whiligig had played while traveling. He Had grown to Like Whirligig, she was the only one he could really call a friend. He had fallen asleep for awhile before he was awoken by Whirligig mentioning the mountian on the horizon. Flash looked out the window and saw the cloud mountain Metotropolis. He was astonished by how huge it was his jaw dropped.

They had reached the end of their Trip and got off the train bags in tow. Flash looked at all of the casinos resturaunts and other buissinesses that dotted the streets. He saw Unicorns as well as earth ponies traveling the streets as well. He was awestruck by all the sights that he was bumped into by a casino pony. The casino pony glared at him and kept moving along. Flash hear Whirligig ask him about the sights and what to do first. Flash looked around and couldnt really place an idea on what to do "Um well......we should find a hotel to drop our stuff off first and then um......i dont know.....we could look around at the resturaunt nearby, im kind of hungry." He said to Whirligig. He felt happy that he came along.

Of course, a hotel would be a good idea - they couldn't very well explore the city with all of their luggage about them. And though there had been some food on the train, there hadn't been very much, so a restaurant would probably be a good idea. Whirligig was growing very glad that Flashbomb had agreed to accompany her to Las Pegasus - he was clearly thinking more practically than she was.

"Of course, that's a great idea!," she told him. "We should go and drop our things off in a hotel so that we can explore the city more freely. That would make sense! Let's see if we can find a nice-looking one that won't be too expensive?"

She looked around as they moved away from the train station, Whirligig in the air a few centimetres above the ground. She was, of course, wearing her saddlebags and she was using her tail to clutch her small valise. The blue mare was still taking in the hustle and bustle of the metropolis, though now she wasn't doing so verbally. She tried to guess which ponies were locals and which ones were tourists like her. Perhaps the locals were the ones who knew where they were going, and weren't looking around them quite so much, while the tourists were taking their time. Despite the name of the town, there were more than just Pegasi living there; there were unicorns and earth ponies, too. There was an earth pony waitressing inside that restaurant and a unicorn over there was...being beaten with a purse by an elderly mare?

Before Whirligig could say anything to her companion, the mare took off in the opposite direction, still grumbling at the unicorn. He, on the other hoof, began trotting in their direction. Whether this was the direction of his destination or he just wanted to get away from the grouchy old mare, Whirligig wasn't sure.

"Did you see that old mare, Flashbomb? How rude! I don't think that Unicorn was doing anything but minding his own business and she just started whacking him around with that bag of hers. That's absolutely terrible! Oh, I do hope he isn't hurt too badly! Some purses are heavy - if she had any books in her bag she could have done some serious damage. I once got hit in the face with a book bag when I was still in school. It was only an accident of course, and Skybright really was sorry about it, but it still hurt a lot. Let's see if the bluebird is okay."

The unicorn was white, with a red and blue mane and dark blue eyes that weren't looking around curiously at his surroundings, but were instead rather focussed on the road ahead. He looked tired, but was moving ahead with an air of purpose, and Whirligig had an inkling that this pony was a local. When he got close to them, she tried to make eye contact and smile at him as brightly as she could.

"Hey, are you okay there bluebird? What was that old mare so upset about? I do hope her bag didn't hurt you too much - she looked really upset." she said to him.

Light was still shaken up bit by the old mare that had beaten him. He did absolutely nothing to her! And she just...ah that's Las Pegasus for you. Light half smiled and then kept trotting . While he was trotting he met a few of his friends.

They were on the other side of the road but they still waved at him. He waved back and shouted a hearty Hello! They responded and then kept trotting.

Right when Light turned around he realized a mare was standing in front of him. She had a look of confusion on her face. Light actually had no idea who she was.

"Your Light right?" She raised an eyebrow in question.

Light chuckled nervously, "Um yeah. Why?"

The mare half smiled and said, "I was just wondering because I saw you play last night. You know. Your cello."

Light then realized. He had played a bit last night. It was what he does for a living. He smiled at the mare. "Oh yeah. That..I did didn't I." He laughed a bit. Then the mare took off.

Light watched her leave. A rather abrupt way to leave a conversation.

Light trotted on. He had adjusted to the lights now so he was alright. But then as he kept moving. Another mare came up!

"Hey, are you okay there bluebird? What was that old mare so upset about? I do hope her bag didn't hurt you too much - she looked really upset."

Light smiled as he remembered the old mare. He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Oh yeah. I'm..I'm alright. I have no idea why she attacked me. But I think she thought I was trying to steal from her or something. But that's Las Pegasus for you!" Light chuckled a bit

"Oh who am I kidding. You probably know all about this place since you live here. But I've never seen you before. Then again...this is a large city."

Flashbomb nodded to Whiligig as she agreed with him. They began their long streanous search for a place to drop their things of and rest for a moment. He saw many tourist ponies moving through the streets of las Pegasus.

Flashbomb then noticed a pony being beaten like a ragdoll by an older mare. He chuckled slightly at the speticle that lay out before them. He stopped when Whirligig voiced her concern about the poor pony and followed her when she Approached him the check to see if the Mare had wounded him.

Flash couldnt keep his eyes off of the flashing lights around him as they moved to the pony. He watched the many lights turn green, to red and to blue. He Nearly ran into Whirligig when she stopped. "Hey are you ok there Bluebird?" She had begun to ask him. Flash let his attention waver off into the crowd and the sights of The city. It was so mezmorizing and he had no idea why.

He looked back to The pony when he brought up that they must live there and how he was only a stranger. He smiled to him "Im afraid we are not inhabitants of this fine city. We are from Cloudsdale and are here for a nice break from it all." He said to him with a slight nod. "It seems though that being beaten by an old mare is a Delicacy in this city." He joked.

He felt the weight of his bags getting to him and his back began to ache. He jumped when a pony ran by him with a bag in his mouth. He heard hoof steps behind him "Stop that stallion!" They yelled as they ran by. "Thief!" they yelled.

Flash checked himself and made sure nothing was taken. He sighed with relief when everything was accounted for. He watched the ponies as they dissapeared into the crowd, "And thieves stealing items as well......" He said in a unamused tone. He hoped Las Pegasus had alot more to offer.

Light chuckled a bit. Ponies from Cloudsdale? Wonder why they chose to come all the way down to Las Pegasus. Oh well. Light didn't mind the visitors or anything. He didn't run this city. But he always loved the ponies to visit.

Light smirked a bit at the pony's jokes.

"Yes getting beaten by the elderly if a common thing here in Las Pegasus." He joked back. But he stopped talking to watch the ponies run through the streets. One was shouting at the other and calling it a thief.

Light sighed a bit. He hoped that these random events didn't change the new ponies view of the city.

"Don't worry. This is the bad part of the city." He smiled at the two ponies. He was actually lying. There wasn't really a good part of this city. There was just a "better" part of the city.

Light lived in the middle section. He liked where he lived.

"Do you ponies have a place to stay?" He raised and eyebrow in suspicion. He was warming up to these two ponies even though he had never met them. But then Light realized that he hadn't even rehearsed a proper greeting.

"Oh my apologies. My name is Light Harmony." He smiled at the two ponies.

Whirligig was relieved to see that the unicorn was unfazed by the impromptu beating, and maybe even a bit concerned; her friends had spoken about Las Pegasus as though it was the greatest city on earth, and yet this pony was telling them that Las Pegasus was quite the opposite; harsh and shady and not at all inviting. Like Flashbomb, she too was a bit distressed when she witnessed a theft. She was also a bit taken aback by the pony mistaking the two of them for locals. Maybe this wasn't such a grand idea after all...

Come on, Whirligig, be positive. This is going to be a fun trip, remember? You're going to enjoy yourself and experience the best that Las Pegasus has to offer. You're here with a great new friend, and you're going to make even more new friends this weekend.

She was comforted when Light Harmony told them that this was one of the worst parts of town, though. Hopefully they would find someplace...better to stay.

"Hello, Light Harmony. My name's Whirligig and this is my friend Flashbomb. As he said, we're from Cloudsdale and just visiting as tourists - you probably get a lot of those around here. I'm glad you're okay, Bluebird; that old mare seemed to be giving you quite a beating, but you don't even have a bruise on you! I never dreamed this place would be as rough as it's turning out to be - my friends all told me that they'd had wonderful experiences here, so they convinced me to come. No, we haven't got anywhere to stay, actually - do you know of any decent but not overpriced hotels where we might be able to leave our things?" remembering the theft, she curled her tail more firmly around the handle on her suitcase. "We don't really want to be carting everything around with us all day long, you know?"

Flashbomb watched the crowd to make sure that the thief was gone for sure. He looked once again to the pony they had just met named Light Harmony. She smiled Warmly to him and listened as Whirligig explained their hotel situation to him. He flicked his tail to the side trying to keep his mind off of the heavy saddlebags on his back, He glanced over his shoulder to make sure once again that his things were not being taken from under his nose. Why was he so anxious now? A thief had changed his whole entire view of the city for him.

"I just hope the hotel is at least crime free." He admitted. He realized that he was dirty talking the town "sorry, its just im kind of on edge now." He said to Light Harmony.

He took his saddlebags off and placed them infront of him as to not have them taken. He was relieved that he could take a little break, He unfolded his wings and flapped them to wake them up. After he was finnished he sat down to take the load off of his hooves.

Light had no idea why this mare had called him bluebird. He checked himself rather quickly to see if he had a birdlike resemblance. He didn't. But he didn't care. He still was happy he had some ponies that seemed interested in the city. He knew they asked for a place to stay. Normally he would have said no. And would have left the two to the city. But these ponies were different.

"I just hope the hotel is at least crime free."

Light smiled.

He hoped what he said hadn't turned them off on Las Pegasus.

"Well let me rephrase what I said. It's not that it is a bad city. It is just that most ponies don't know really..how to handle themselves. Such as the right from wrong thing."

Light then realized that he had taken his exact thought and just spat it out. He was beginning to confuse himself. So in an attempt to change the subject.

He cleared his throat.

"Oh um. Well you ponies are welcome to stay at my place. I'm sure I have enough room for you. It'd be better than staying in some hotel. Also we don't have to spend all day there. We can just go and drop off your things."

He actually had no idea if he had enough room or not. It was going to be very embarrassing if they got to his place and he no room. Then again he remembered how dirty his place was. Pages of music and books thrown everywhere. Eh. He would clean it later.

He smiled warmly at the two. He noticed that Whirligig and Flashbomb both seemed nervous and on end in this city. So in attempt to make them feel better.

"Don't worry. I won't steal your things." He smiled at them. "I'm a good pony."

Whirligig liked this unicorn a lot! (She usually liked every pony she met a lot, but that was beside the point) And she couldn't quite believe their good fortune; who better to show them the city of Las Pegasus than a local? He would know the sites, the best restaurants, the greatest shows, he would be able to show them everything! And what was more, he was opening up his home to them! That would surely go much, much easier on Whirligig's bit purse. She glanced at Flashbomb. Had he not just said that the prospect of staying in a hotel in this city was a little bit frightening? He certainly seemed to be rethinking this trip. Whirligig would have to do her best to try to put him at ease again.

"Oh, bluebird, that would be simply wonderful! Are you certain it wouldn't be too much trouble, having us stay with you? We wouldn't want to impose, but I must say that it would certainly put my mind at ease, not having to stay in some crummy budget hotel. We're simple weather ponies, you see, and not at all from well-to-do families with fortunes to spend. The train ticket here was pricey enough. Oh, but I do hope everything turns out for the best - I would hate to have come all this way only to have a terrible time. Yes, let's go leave our things so that we can know that they're safe, and after that, I simply cannot wait to see and experience the very best that this city has to offer! Don't you think that would be a terrific idea, Flashbomb? How great will it be to tell everypony back in Cloudsdale that we got to stay with a true Las Pegasus local?"

Flashbomb looked to Whirligig and chuckled Calmly as she went on about the benefits of staying with the unicorn. He wondered why she trusted Light so well, what fueled her to place such trust in him. He nodded in agreement finnaly at the proposal to go the his house and drop off their things. It was only for the weekend and what harm would they do staying at his place?

He flicked his tail as he picked his things up and loaded them onto his already aching back. "It would be interesting to see what a loacal's house looks like from the inside, that much is to be sure." He said in responce to her. He looked to Light and nodded "I trust you light, i never said you were a bad pony. Its just first impressions are everything in my book." He said to him with a curt smile. "Shall we be off?" He asked.

Flash followed light slowly and kept his guard up. Why should he be so serious about this all of a sudden? a simple robber shouldnt put him Trying to have a good time should it? "I hope this trip gets just a little better."

Light laughed as soon as Whirligig stopped talking. He never imagined he would meet two ponies like these! They were so friendly! Must be common for ponies from Cloudsdale. Light couldn't help but keep his smile on his face.

"Come on then! Let's go!" He then waved his hoof around a bit and continued to trot in the direction of his home. He noticed that the city wasn't as bright as it was, But he figured the night life would really show the city's lights. He then shook his head a bit when he realized that they had already been trotting along a bit. He should have said that a bit ago...

One thing Light realized was..that among Flashbomb and Whirligig..he was the only unicorn. He always hated when ponies would ask him if he was a whiz at magic. It irritated him when he was asked this because he felt as if every non unicorn grouped all the unicorns together and pictured them great with magic. He saw it as stereotypical. But Light realized that his thought was rather mean. And he was the opposite of mean. Well he liked to picture himself as a nice pony.

While he knew some magic..he only really used it when he was playing an instrument or to help him. Or when he was just feeling lazy.

"I trust you light, i never said you were a bad pony. Its just first impressions are everything in my book."

Light then quit thinking about magic and came back to reality. He heard what Flashbomb said. He smiled at him.

"Thank you for trusting me Flash. I know it may seem hard to trust any pony in this city. But sooner or later you'll realize that it's not that bad."

He smiled at him. He appreciated what he said. He knew that this trip would get better for them. He just knew it.

Whirligig smiled, still absorbing the many sights and sounds of the city as the pair travelled through the streets to what she could only assume was a more residential area of the city. They were making their way through the rocky streets to what Whirligig could only presume was a more residential area.

"I trust you light," Flashbomb was saying, "I never said you were a bad pony."

"I hope this trip gets just a little better."

"Of course he isn't a bad pony! He's a very kind and generous pony, from what I can see. She smiled warmly at the unicorn. I mean, how many other locals would open their homes to tourists like us in a town like this? I don't think many would. But I am sure there are plenty of other nice and friendly ponies in this city take the hard working Unicorns who make it possible for earth ponies and other unicorns to walk on the clouds for example. Wouldn't it be lovely if something like that existed in Cloudsdale? Why, we would have all sorts of ponies coming to visit us from all over Equestria, not just the Pegasi! And of course this trip is going to get better! Really, what's actually gone wrong so far? We had a lovely train ride here, and then we met a fine unicorn who was willing to show us around the place and put us up for the night. And we still have all day today and tomorrow to see and experience the city! Oh, there will be so much to do! I'm not much for gambling, but we can certainly go check it out. Then we can go to the live shows and hear some good music, and maybe eat at the fancier restaurants." She chattered away, not once thinking that maybe the two stallions would grow tired of her ceaseless speech.

"So, tell me Light Harmony, what do you do for a living. Probably something musical, judging by your cutie mark. Me and Flashbomb are both weather ponies, but he's an actual weather pony while I'm a weather factory worker. He works for the Cloudsdale crew, which is a huuuge honour because they're the cream of the crop, the Cloudsdale crew is. I make snowflakes, mostly, though when winter ends and we aren't so busy, I sometimes get to work with the Rainbows. My mum works as a supervisor in the wind tunnels, and she's trying to pull some strings to get me into that department even though I'm not a very good flyer and all. I honestly would like that a whole lot better than where I'm at right now, though." She paused briefly as they turned a corner.

"Now go on, Bluebird, I asked you what you do to earn yourself a living here in this shining city! Tell me about yourself, I'm listening!"

Flash followed the other 2 as they traversed the city, He tried to clear his mind of the one miscreant pony who disturbed them earlier and kept his thoughts on the good parts of the trip. He listened intently to Whirligig as she pointed out that they had some very good karma and now had light as their persay, caretaker. He listened to Whirligig when she brought up him being a weather pony and how they were "Cream of the Crop". He felt himself blush slightly at the sugarcoating but apreciated her doing so. He looked to his right and watched 2 earthponies trotting accross the clouds, He felt happy for them to be able to expieriance the feeling of walking on clouds. He allowed his attention to wander around and allow Whirligig and Light to converse for awhile, he didnt mind being silent for a few moments and just taking it all in.

Light didn't tell her and Flashbomb what he did for a living first since she asked that first. He was pretty impressed by these two ponies. One being the cream of the crop of the weather ponies and one that makes Snowflakes! Light had actually never been around snow that much. But he had seen it a few times and felt it before. It was very cold..

Light then went back to what Whirligig said first.

"Now go on, Bluebird, I asked you what you do to earn yourself a living here in this shining city! Tell me about yourself, I'm listening!"

Light smiled at Whirligig and Flashbomb. Just before he started to speak he looked up and realized they needed to take a left here.

"Take a left here." He smiled and then steered himself and his new visitors down the road.

"Ok. Story time." He laughed a bit. "Well. Yes. I play my cello and a few percussion instruments. But it is mostly my cello. I play it for a few places at times and I give lessons to fillies and colts and stallions and mares!. I'm usually kept busy. Though I'm not some big famous musician. Yet." He winked at Flashbomd and Whirligig.

"But really. I was actually born in Canterlot. And my father and mother...they..disagreed with my musical love. They thought it would be best for me to peruse a career in science or math..or something. Now don't get me wrong..my parents loved me very much. And I'm sure they still do. But.." Light then turned his head side to side to make sure his parents weren't around. Which they wouldn't be anyways. He mostly did that for comedy.

"When I was little they wanted me to go to school to learn math and science and stuff. But I would actually sneak off from the school and I made a friend. She was an elderly Zebra. Apologies .I can't remember her name. Which actually depresses me. But anyways. The Zebra asked me if I knew how to play music. At first I said no. But then she taught me. I visited her everyday...that is until I started living here." He then waved his hooves in a horizontal motion as if to scan over the city.

Light then felt like he had spoken to much. He blushed just slightly and said,

"Sorry if I talked your heads off. I um.." He then rubbed the back of his head and chuckled a bit. He then put his hoof down and looked off in embarrassment.

He saw a few earth ponies having what seemed like the time of their lives..on a few clouds. Which Light found amazing. He loved how the unicorns, who were good at magic, allowed for non pegasus ponies to trot along clouds.

Amazing.

Light then looked back at Whirligig and Flashbomb. While he was moving his head to look at them. He noticed familiar buildings. They were close to his home. He put on a smile and kept trotting along. They were almost to his house..or apartment..

He smiled again and said, "Just a quick side note. We are almost to my place." He smiled again.

Flash listened intently once more to Light as he recalled his colthood. He kind of envied Unicorns and their ability to control the magical forces that were eminating around them, But he also enjoyed his wings more than most things in the world and wouldnt give them up for anything. He saw a couple tourists trot by and waved to them, he always tried to be somewhat friendly wherever he went. They continued on and turned acouple more times before light let them know that they were almost there. "Hey Light, quick question.......i dont want to seem Stereotypical but What is your favorite spell? if you dont mind me asking." He asked as they moved on, He kept a good pace with Whirligig.

Whirligig kept her mouth shut for what may have been a personal record as she listened intently to Light Harmony's story. She was still looking around her, her wings flapping enthusiastically so that her hooves barely touched the ground. She actually waited until Light was finished, without interrupting him once, before commenting on his story with an even longer story of her own.

"Well, you may not be big and famous right now, but I'm sure you will be in time - I mean, I'm quite certain you're a wonderful musician! We don't have many good musicians in Cloudsdale - we mostly watch aerobatics for entertainment, which I think is rather sad because I think music is great fun to listen to and wish we could have more good musicians and concerts. But we don't have a lovely team of Unicorns making it possible for ponies to walk on clouds like you do here, so a lot of musicians find it hard to come to Cloudsdale. I remember when they tried to get the Pony of Pop to Cloudsdale but she was too scared to - apparently she didn't trust Unicorn magic for whatever reason - um, no offence.

"Oh, you poor bird! How could your parents not support you in your musical pursuits? That must have been hard; my Mum is lovely about supporting me with all my goals, has been since I was just a foal. She helped me with the science fair project that won me my cutie mark, and she worked really hard so my brother could go to weather camp and all sorts of neat things. Oh, but you're right, I'm sure your parents do love you lots and lots but they probably just wanted you to do something more fitting for a Unicorn which I think is stuff and nonsense really. I mean, yes I like Pegasusy things and so does my brother, but my Mum would have supported me in anything I'm sure, even music or acting or coffee making or birdsitting. I think I would make a good bird sitter, actually - I'd maybe even be better at birdsitting than wind designing."

"And you knew a Zebra? That's so actually amazingness. I would love, love, LOVE to meet a Zebra!"

"Hey Light, quick question.......i dont want to seem Stereotypical but What is your favorite spell? if you dont mind me asking."

"Ooooooh, good question Bluebird! Yeah, I'm really curious now. Do you do a lot of magic? I don't do a lot of flying even though I'm a Pegasus. Well, I guess that's only half true. I fly a lot, but not very well. Like, I like flying and I can fly long distances but I don't do stunts and I'm not the fastest or the strongest and I can't do big awesomeamzing flips and spins and stuff and I like watching the Wonderbolts well enough but I've never actually dreamed of being one or even tried to get into their crazy-big academy."

Light was a bit surpirsed by the question from Flashbomb and..the sudden enthusiasm in Whirligig. But he hesitated to answer them. He was actually dirstracted a bit. He would every now and then glance over at Flashbomb and Whirligig and look at their wings. Whirligig was hovering just slightly off of the ground. He had always wanted to have wings. But he also loved just knowing that he could use magic.

As Light kept thinking he finally decided on his answer.

"Now I know this is probaby not the answer you were looking for. But my favorite spell would have to be Levitation."

He smiled at both of them and was completely honest in his answer.

"I know the spell is really basic and almost every unicorn knows it..but I don't really know..a lot of spells. I just know the ones I need and that's it really. Though learning more magic does sound fun..I'm just not up for that now."

He chuckled a bit. It was true that Light never really practiced his magic that much. He knew the spells he needed and that was it.

As he finished they finally reached the building where Light's room/home was. He allowed them to go inside first. Once inside there was a few ponies coming and going and a few bellhop ponies. Some were carrying bags and some were waiting to carry bags. Light left Whirligig and Flashbomb for a second and went over to the main desk. He wanted to say hello to the pony working. He just wanted to chat a bit and such. Once he finished his little conversation he came back to Whirligig and Flashbomb. He smiled at them.

"Well here we are. My home is on a higher level so it looks like we will have to take some stairs((OOC: I have no idea if they have elevators XD)). I hope that is alright. Besides. I'm sure you two will enjoy what you see when we get there."

He smiled again and then moved closer to the door to the stairway. He waved at them and motioned for them to come over and start climbing. He knew that they would have to go up a few flights of stairs. This was a rather large building. But here in Las Pegasus. Sights are pretty much an attraction.

A booming peal of laughter sounded as Foghorn overheard the statement from just across the room. The large Zebra in a pinstriped jacket hauled himself up from his sitting position with a big grin playing across his face. "Well little lady I think dis be your lucky day den." Foghorn's lively bass voice carried through the lobby with ease. He made his way over to the trio a bit slowly, careful not to step on anypony or anything. He hoped he was not interuppting the groups conversation too much but alas the blue pegasus statement could not go unanswered. "I apologize if I be imposin upon yer discussions," The older zebra says politely, "but I could not help but to overhear the hovering ladies exclamations." He gestured to Whirligig with a nod. "It would be a shame not to grant the wish of such an exhuberant young lass." He added happily.

Fog looked over the group, he recognized the unicorn among them. He was sure he had seen the stallion come and go from the building quite a few times in the short time he had been staying here. A fellow musician he observed while looking over the soon not to be a stranger. He slung his saxophone case up onto his weight bearing back as he adjusted to standing again. He tipped his hat to the mares and grinned. "It is a pleasure to make yer acquantances, I be Foghorn, but ye can jus call me Foggy." He introduced himself.

Flashbomb Was surprised when Light had told them that Out of all things in the Magical world, that Levitation was his favorite. He noticed his slight envious look at his hand Whirligig's wings. He felt slightly uneasy and decided to tuck his wings closet to his sides. They had entered a large Apartment complex building. He looked up at the Arched Ceiling and the trim that lined the walls. It was well crafted and Seemed as though the Architects that had crafted this place had taken their sweet time and care into each little detail. He Let his jaw hang agape slightly, after a couple moments he closed his jaw with his forehoof. He Hadnt heard much else what Anypony else said if they had. He followed close To Light as to not get lost in the large lobby. "Looks like we are going to have to take the stairs." He had said. Flash grimmiced at the thought of carrying his heavy saddlebags up many flights of stairs.

He heard a heardy deep low voice that had spoken up across the lobby. The ring of the voice echoed off of the walls and hit Flash's ears like a bass drum. He turned to see a very large Zebra walking slowly to them. His eyes dialated at his aproach, he was tall, Very tall! Flash mustered a smile through his slightly fear stricken face. "N.....nice to Meet you Foghorn, i can tell how you got your name."He said trying to be friendly.

Whirligig listened attentively as Light Harmony shared with her and Flashbomb his reasons for using the telekinesis spell the most. She didn’t think it was overdone at all! She thought it would be mighty useful not having to carry things around in her mouth or in her hooves all the time.

”Oh, I can certainly see why you would use that one the most. It’s probably really, really useful not to have to carry everything around with your mouth or your hooves. I know sometimes I think that knowing how to use magic like that would be super-duper useful, don’t you, Bluebird?”

Whirligig was surprised to see that they’d arrived at Light Harmony’s building at some point while she'd been talking. She stepped into the lobby of the shiny apartment after Flashbomb and looked around excitedly at the painted walls and polished floor. “Oh, bluebird, this is gorgeous! I always forget how pretty buildings can be when they aren’t made out of clouds!”

"Well here we are. My home is on a higher level so it looks like we will have to take some stairs. I hope that is alright.

”Oh, stairs sure aren’t a problem for me, songbird – it’s just a simple up-up-up and away we go!” Whirligig was about to turn to follow their gracious Unicorn host up the stairs to his apartment when a loud, booming voice carried across the lobby that stopped her in her tracks.

"Well little lady I think dis be your lucky day den. I apologize if I be imposin upon yer discussions, but I could not help but to overhear the hovering ladies exclamations. It would be a shame not to grant the wish of such an exuberant young lass. It is a pleasure to make yer acquantances, I be Foghorn, but ye can jus call me Foggy."

Whirligig’s eyes widened, and if she had ever even considered placing her hooves on the polished floor of the lobby, the thought was abandoned. “Oh, wow wow wow! It most certainly is my lucky day! Oh, I am so glad my friends convinced me to come on this trip, aren’t you, Flashbomb? Looky look, a Zebra! And such a classy one, too – it most certainly is my pleasure to meet you, Mr Foghorn Foggy sir! Do you live in Las Pegasus? I definitely didn’t know there were any zebras living in Las Pegasus, but I guess a place like this brings folk from all over the world, hey? Oh, I’m so excited to get to see more of this place!”

Light was all set and ready to go up the stairs so his new found friends could drop off their things. He was excited. He had to admit. He had just realized that he was going to be the two pony's host. For the whole city. While he already knew he would be. He just realized how much fun it should be. He was ready to start the day and show these ponies the wonderment of Las Pegasus! But then Light froze. He heard a strange voice he had never heard before. He turned around to see a large zebra talking with Whirligig and Flashbomb. He blinked a bit and rubbed a hoof over his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming. He wasn't. Weird how this zebra shows up right when Light finishes telling his story about his zebra friend.

"Well little lady I think dis be your lucky day den. I apologize if I be imposin upon yer discussions, but I could not help but to overhear the hovering ladies exclamations. Foggy hm? Light had never heard of him. But he had a music case. Maybe he played around and Light had never seen him before.

“Oh, wow wow wow! It most certainly is my lucky day! Oh, I am so glad my friends convinced me to come on this trip, aren’t you, Flashbomb? Looky look, a Zebra! Light chuckled a bit. Whirligig said she always wanted to meet a zebra. Light trotted over to the two ponies and the zebra.

"Guess this city makes wishes come true huh?" He laughed a bit and then turned to the zebra with the booming voice. "Nice to meet you Foggy. I am Light Harmony. But everypony calls me Light." He shrugged a bit. "Now, I have to say that I have never seen you around. I am pretty sure you aren't new...or are you? You have that case there...do you play?" Light raised an eyebrow in curious question. He had an idea that if this pony played music then maybe he and Foggy could play together! But maybe. "Hate to sound rushed Foggy. But these two were going to drop their things off in my place a few flights up. They have been carrying them for some time now. Would you like to come along? After they drop them off we are going to go see the city. Well I am going to show them really. " He laughed again.

Foghorn gave a chuckle at the reactions of both Flashbomb and Whirligig. "She be an excitable sort, no?" Foghorn asked playfully to Whirligig's companion whom she had called Flashbomb. He stroked his goatee idly with a hoof as he thought on the torrent of questions. "I neigh be from Las Pegasus, just a visitor like yourself I can tell; and it be a pleasure to meet ya." He answered her query with a big grin.

"Pleasure it is for me as well," Foghorn greeted the third member of the group happily, "I been here in da city fer, 'bout two weeks now and I do in fact play!" Foghorn gestured toward the stairs. "Don' let ol' Foggy slow ya down then, would be my pleasure to acompany you lot." He stated as he moved to open the stairwell door for the lasses. "It be a fine city to see and I 'ave not seen as much as I would like to." Foghorn smiled at Light's offer. "So tell me what do ya play?" he asked as they made there way up the stairs.

 • 2 weeks later...

(So sorry for being gone)

Flashbomb stood aside and only nodded to Whirligig while not diverting his gaze from the zebra named Foghorn. He didnt know why he had such a fear of him. Was it because he was towering above him by at least a foot? Or was it his personality that put him off ease. He tried to straighten up with the luggage on his back. His back hurt pretty badly by now and all he wanted to do for a couple moments was rest. He had been pulled from his thoughts by Light's inquiry of Playing instruments. He heard foghorn reply with a simple yes but did not say what. This sparked Flashbomb's interest even further, what instrument would a zebra play? He wondered to himself. He pondered the thought and Chuckled at some ideas that would make the others think he was a fool. He decided to keep them to himself though. Foggy had gestured for the stairs much to Flashbomb's relief. He decided to take the back of the group as the ascended the stairs. "How....far are we.....supposed to climb light?" He puffed as he put one hoof infront of the other. He glanced to Whirligig, "I might have packed to much stuff." He admitted to her with a slight chuckle and a Tired smile.
