Name: Pomegranate Blossom

Sex: Female

Age: Foal

Species: Earth Pony

Pelt Color: Pale yellow.

Mane/Tail Color & Style: Bright orange and very long. It's slightly wavy towards the end and very soft when actually combed out. Most of the time, unfortunately, Pomegranate Blossom's hair is tangled with leaves, twigs, and grass caught in it, much to the chagrin of her mother.

Eye Color: Dark grey.

Cutie Mark: A pomegranate with a partial laurel wreath around it to symbolize growth and abundance. As well as a tie in to her namesake, the pomegranate fruit itself is tart yet sweet, something that can be attributed to her brash personality.

Physique: Small and fairly squishable. Pomegranate's only permanent distinguishing marks so far are the orange freckles spattered beneath her cheeks. With her propensity to get into trouble, she'll often be sporting dirty or scrapped knees.

Residence: Saddleveil Plains

Occupation: None, too young! (Though she likes to pretend to help her mother by playing 'flower girl.')

Motivation: Pomegranate Blossom wants to own a garden of her very own when she grows up, something beautiful like her mother's. Though unlike her mother's, she has dreams on a grander scale, wanting a whole grove of beautiful trees and flowers in order to romp around in, and to have the satisfaction that she grew it all with her own hooves rather than going down the more floral design path.

Likes: Dirt, springtime, running, more running, pomegranates, spring showers, sunshine.

Dislikes: Being inside, cold weather, sitting still, being told 'no,' not being allowed to help.

Character Summary:

Pomegranate leads a mostly lonely childhood, but one filled with imagination.

Originally from Fillydelphia, Pomegranate Blossom and her mother, Laurel, relocated to a quaint cottage inherited from her great-grandponies out in the Saddleveil Plains after the death of her father. Too many memories, her mother had said, so it was time for a fresh start, a change.

It was hard at first, being away from her friends and grieving over the loss of a parent, but being a boisterous and stubborn foal, Pomegranate managed to cope. She made up friends, talked to the flowers, and roamed the Saddleveil Plains (though never too far away from home, as she would be scolded otherwise; that had never stopped her from testing the boundaries, however!) in search of adventure, even if it was mostly made up in her head.

She yearns to be old enough to set out into the world in order to start her grand garden and make real friends, but contents herself for now with a small plot in the backyard amongst her mother's flowers and her dolls. Though Laurel enjoys creating beautiful bouquets and arrangements, her daughter is less skilled (read: not at all) in that art and prefers the hard work of growing something herself.

Though the duo do make frequent trips into Fillydelphia, Pomegranate has become more socially awkward around her peers. With her blunt nature, she'll often say the first thing that comes to mind without taking tact into consideration and her flighty thoughts and fancies can come across as weird. She's really a sweet filly at heart, but has trouble letting that part shine through.
