I know I should probably stop making characters and start actually RPing... Making characters is just really fun. And with this one I'll have one of each pony species and one in each region...

Name: Spirit Flame (shortens to Spirit)

Age: Filly (15-17 equivalent)

Species: unicorn

Pelt colour: deep purple

Mane/Tail/Markings colour & Style: her mane colour is pure white. Both mane and tail are very long and flowing, nearly reaching the ground.

Eye colour: purple

Cutie Mark: a ball of white coloured fire

Physique: smaller than average for a filly.

Origin: resides in Fillydelphia.

Roleplay Type: Mane RP

Occupation: none

Motivation: She's still finding one. Has yet to have any luck so far.

Likes: quiet, darkness, magic, reading, sleeping/dreaming, mild flavors

Dislikes: being touched, not understanding things, loud noises, bold flavors

Character Summary: Spirit was born from a careless encounter that wasn't fated to go anywhere. Her mother didn't want her and her father was already well out of the picture by the time she was born. To shed herself of the burden, Spirit's mother took the foal, just a few days old, to the heart of the Everfree forest and left her there alone.

Miraculously, the child managed to survive. This was due to her being taken in by a gentle manticore which took pity on the foal, and came to look after her like a child. After a number of years together, this fell apart suddenly when the motherly manticore was stricken down by other beasts while protecting Spirit. This event would haunt the young Spirit for years to come.

Now entirely alone and in constant danger, Spirit continued wandering the forest. At an age far younger than most unicorn fillies do, out of necessity for survival, Spirit had already learned how to use and control her magic to create flames, which she used to ward off the hungrier of beasts. Through it all, not a single peaceful night was found. Sleep was rare for the young unicorn, but nightmares abounded everywhere she could see.

Her cutie mark appeared one night after a particularly hellish encounter. Cornered by several fearsome monsters, magic more powerful than she could even consciously dream of erupted from Spirit's body and set a whole section of the forest ablaze while also destroying her attackers. Spirit was frightened by but grateful for the depth of her power.

It wasn't very long after this that the young filly was found in the forrest by a kind older stallion unicorn adventurer who was exploring the Everfree Forest. This stallion, Gray Lexis, took her with him back to his home in Fillydelphia and made her his ward and apprentice. Over the course of a few years, he gave her her name, taught her how to speak, how to read, and then opened up to her his personal library of books on magic and the world.

Adjusting to such a new world was both hard and easy for her. It was so drastically different it was scary; she felt completely alienated from the ponies she would see cheerfully walking down the street. Yet at the same time, Spirit was finally able to sleep peacefully and dream. She was not in constant danger. She had access to seemingly limitless knowledge and was able to even further hone her magical talents.

Spirit has no friends beyond her old caretaker and is generally frightened by the idea of interacting with others. She is still confused by the way society operates, and becomes very timid when dealing with something new. If she feels particularly threatened she will attack with powerful magic, which has made her some enemies. Despite it all, she is a very curious mind, eager for new knowledge. She speaks very rarely and uses only a few words when she does.

Her talent is for destructive magic, particularly creating fire. As she is now, she has little talent for any other kind of magic though she hopes to learn it. She is physically weak and quite small for a Filly her age, but has decent stamina and is good at finding places to hide. She is intelligent and learns quickly.

Gray Lexis had Spirit take a U.M.A.T test. While in the areas of levitation and most standard spells, she was ranked at a Delta or sometimes even Epsilon level, her flames and other offensive spells were considered Alpha class. All considered, the result of her test put her as a Gamma Class Unicorn.
