A Moonlite night in Canterlot

Recommended Posts

Moonlite sighed as she read a book, she was alone in the Canterlot Library, it was almost closing time. She was reading magic spells book and waiting for the rest of the night to past, the library was quiet, as usual. She looked to the clock, "10 minutes" she said with a bit of relief, though she had no plans, she was just gonna go home to sleep.

Moonshield walked through the streets of Canterlot. It was a cool, summer evening, and the night seemed to be at peace. He would know, he spends most of his time staring at it. The young astronomer had been sent to Canterlot to obtain some supplies. The Empire's telescope had been needing a new lens for ages and this trip couldn't be put off any longer.

He was in no particular hurry to get back, however. There wasn't much activity to be monitered lately and he had been told to take his time. A few days in Canterlot wouldn't hurt too much. Besides, it was night time, and Canterlot Observatory had been closed for hours. Closing times on observatories were strange to Moonshield, as he thought that the very best time to watch the sky was at night, where the beautiful expanse of space was clear for all to see.

He walked passed a few buildings until he saw a sign not far away reading "Canterlot Library". This had to be the public library, since the only other place to find any books would be in the Castle itself. Moonshield continued on his way, trying to find an inn of some sort to rest his head for the night.
