Alright, here we go. Im goign to be playing two Char's, Blackwing and another random one, who's name shall be Shay. His rank is just goign to be a Corporal

Il also be playing H.Q.

Could someone also give me a suggestion for a name for the commander(guy), the scientist and the engineer? I dont want to use their in game names.

You can be any where in the base to start, the barracks getting rest, the firing range, Canteen, anywhere.

Here we go

If you guys with for a dif Squad name, just say so and it gets changed, Wolf Squad is us for now.

--------------------

It was a peaceful day at X-Com HQ, a normal day to say the least. All the soldiers were currently just loafing off, well, most of them. Some, the more serious ones, were doing target practice. One squad of soldiers in particular, the squad known as 'Wolf Squad' was currently scattered around the base, just enjoying their time, and their free pay. Unknown to them, something was brewing, something big.

The commander, along with the head scientist and engineer, were in mission control, talking to a military Convoy that was traveling through the Australian desert. They had reported that something.. odd was seen their, but their was no confirmation on what it was.

"So, no idea's on what you have seen?" The professor asked, clearly entrigued at the thrill of a new discovery.

Blackwing, the leader of the convoy, was a specialist, a elite soldier, what ever most liked to call him. In truth he was a Special Operative, A Seal. He had been trained by Seal Team 6, though he ended up becoming a Seal squad leader. He and his squad were accompanying the Convoy, makign sure that it would arrive safely. He was reportign the X-Com project, though he didnt know. He was only reporting to them after being redirected by his own superiors in his direction.

"No" Was the only response Black would give him. Currently the convoy had stopped, it was around Mid day, and the Convoy was taking a rest. The Platoon of Marine's were sitting around in their vehicles, and leaning on the outside, taking drinks and having a small rest after a ten hour long drive. Black and his Squad of seals were standing aroudn the middle vehicle, the seal's were checking ammo, maintaing their gear, and preparing for the last six hours of the drive. Black was sitting on the hood of the vehicle, talking to the commander over his ear piece, his Rifle in the passenger seat of the vehicle.

The commander was thinking, his face showing that he pondered that, somethign was going to happen soon, something that scared him, even though he didnt know, it was.... just that feeling you get, before something goes horribly wrong.

------------------------------

Shay was sitting around the barracks, laying in his bed trying to sleep. His gear was all over the place, his side arm was laying on his chest, his clothing was on the floor, well, part of it, his rifle was under his bed, and all his other items were just somewhere in the room. He was hoping that the day would stay quiet, then he could just sleep through the whole thing, as long as the sarge didnt make them do some exercises...

Fenix was absorbed into the fast paced fighting game he had set for himself that day. Ignoring every sound, even gunshots from the firing range couldn't break his concentration as his fingers moved like a blur around the controller. Sprawled across the very cushiony couch of the rec room, surrounded by empty chip packets and chocolate wrappers. The small coffee table between him and the centre of his attention was packed with beer bottles both empty and full, created a strange lighting effect on the walls behind him. If it was his day of, he was luck. If not, then he would be in a world of hurt later.

Fenix wore his usual attire of boots, pants, T-shirt and his favourite navy blue cap that sat backwards on his head with the words "Tackle Shop" written in white and a fish between. Atop the hat was a headset connected to the console.

He wasn't sure if there was anyone else in the room with him, but he wasn't going to until he defeated this game's final challenge. He had tried so many times only to end in utter failure. His determination built sweet on his forehead and streaked down his face only to be wiped away and forgotten.

He was going to win for sure this time!

Leszek smiled as he exchanged places with one of his fellow soldiers on the treadmill. The gym wasn't his usual hangout, but today, he felt like a run. After his transfer to X-com, he'd only had a pitiful two weeks leave off base. Which naturally, he'd spent back home in Poland. Leszek had returned just yesterday, filled with the memories of an agreement with his wife, Katya.

He would be coming home after this next tour, he'd made sure that his contract was only for a year after all. There was no reason not to. Just one more year and he would be able to be a proper father to little Krysta. Of course, there were the usual questions of what exactly he was going to do with himself after his life in the military. But that could wait, just one more tour.

His little girl loved to sew and with the help of her mother, she'd made a patch to sew onto his fatigues. A little heart encompassed by a shield. Leszek found it quite ironic. He did what he did to keep his little girl safe, and that patch symbolised just yet. It was crude, but that simply made Leszek love it more. It kept her close, just like she should be.

The burly Pole hopped onto the treadmill and started jogging at a brisk pace.

Seargent Mcwing sat at his computer sipping on is tea trying to push thru the boredom of doing a sitrep report.

He had been part of X-com for a very short time. And honestly he hated it! It was hard to get to any unit that would have action anywhere at all right now.

but he felt like x-com was just a place to send marines who were too good, to keep them locked in rank.

He would of prefer to go to the range, the gym, or more importantly get to know the new squad he was assigned. But he had type up the report; so he took a big gulp of the hot tea, and went to work.

Spear had dedicated his whole life to the military, and he was no starting to have his doubts. He had nothing on the outside, besides a few cousins and friends he only saw occasionally. And now the here he was stuck doing what felt like nothing important.

He pushed those thoughts aside and went to google to look up some instruction numbers

The commander was still talking to Blackwing, the conversation going on as they tryed to find out anythign that might identify what they had seen, though their result was nothing. After around five minutes of this, the commander was completely butted out by the professor, who was asking multiple questions non stop.

"What shape was zhe creature you saw?" She asked him, which Blackwing sighed before thinking of a answer, which became

"Small, humaniod, kinda like a kid" He said, though then in the back ground a shout was heard, then a single gun shot. "THE HELL, WERE UNDER ATTACK, FORM A PERIMITER, GO, RE-----" And the transmission cut out completely, the last thing anyone heard was Black yelling orders, and gunfire from what sounded like Humvee's and rifles.

----

After the transmission cut out, Blackwing had jumped off the hood of the vehicle, yelling for everybody to get to cover as a fight started. Black ran to the passenger side, opening the door as he grabbed his Scar, fallling backwards onto his back as somethign shot at him from behind. As he landed on his back, he quickly rolled to his right, gettign up while rolling as he aimed down his sights, only to see what looked like a soldier shooting at them, but somethign was different, his eyes were glowing. Black raised his Scar, firing a small burst straight into the soldiers chest. Then he saw it, the creature from before. As he takes down the soldier, a small pale creature comes out from behidn a rock, and shoots at Blackwing, though it wasnt bullets, he fired plasma. Black dived forwards, the plasma hittign the humvee behind him, causing plasma burns.

Black looks up, the creature about to shoot him, when suddenly three figures came from around the humvee, and they let a hail of lead into the creature, taking it down fast. One of them ran over to Blackwing, lending a hand, which blackwing accepted. " You all right boss?" He asks. Black nods, then says " Thanks to you three Wolf". One of the others puts a hand on Blacks shoulder, saying "Anytime pal" . Black just nodded in appriciation towards him. He was known as 'Rex'. The last of the trio just laughed a bit, punching Black in the shoulder as he said "Besides, you still owe me that drink" . Blackwing responded with "Yeah i do Fox" He said. then the group stopped their little talk, which had only taken about fifteen seconds, before they raise their rifles, Wolf and Rex making sure that their rear was covered as Black, who was more well known as 'Shadow', and Fox moved in the front.

As they got around the humvee, the destruction in front of them was brutal. They had started with a platoon of thirty men, now, a quick estimate put them at maybe fifteen marines left. All around, you could see bodys from not just our side, but from their side. A few more of those... creatures were aroudn the humvee's, multiple soldiers other then the marines were also around the place, laying down. Multiple Humvee's were destroyed, and the remainign Marines were desperatly trying to fight off the attack. Blackwing, out of the corner of his eye, saw one squad of Marines that was trying to pull back, one of them covering the rest as they dragged a wounded teammate away from the fight.

---------------------------------

The commander was still thinking about his next move, though he knew that something had gone wrong. He quickly, over the base intercomms, gave an alert "Get me Wolf squad in here now, this is not a drill, All combat squads prep now" he yelled over the base comm system, he needed a squad, and the leader of that one was always wanting combat, well, now he might have it.

-----------------------------

Shay was still sleeping when the alert was given, though it did wake him up. After he woke up he swore at the speaker, grabbed his ear muffs and put them on, trying to get more sleep. He didnt hear that the squad he wanted was their squad. And even if he had known, he would probably have stayed here anyway, its much more comfortable then moving in armor.

As the alert goes through the base, all X-com soldiers were running around, going to their squads and preparing for whatever they were ordered to do.

Spear smiled thankful he didn’t have to do his report anymore. He set his tea down and walked straight to his room he opened up his locker and threw on his uniform and armor.

Once geared up he was about to leave when he saw a jerk in bed

“just look at this p.o.s wearing his earmuffs ignoring the call like a boot! … wait a minute … that’s my boot! He dint just get off watch or anything! Ohh boy”

he walked over to the bed and flipped the mattress over knocking Shay to the floor. He went over leaned over Shay and pulled the ear muffs off

“ howdy I’m your new squad leader, don’t make me dress you as well!”

he crushed the earmuffs in his hand and sprinkled it over him. Before walking out like nothing happened

he then walked into the loading bay were weapons were being assigned, he took his big revolver and put it under his shoulder in the holster. And put his assault rifle over his shoulder.

He looked out and stood on the deck waiting for his team to assemble.

Fenix was so close he could feel it in the controller, the final moments that would dawn his victory and name him champion were at hand. Then the alert came through. It was very loud and distracted him only for a moment, but a moment was all it toke and he became the subject of a monstrous combo that left his avatar dead at the bottom of the screen.

He sat up right and tossed the controller into the field of chip packets, whipping his face with both hands then interlocking his fingers behind his neck as he toke a deep breath.

"F**kers!!!" It was not restrained could possibly be heard from across the base. He moaned few times before grabbing one last beer and leapt over the back of the couch, making his way to his dormitory room to collect his gear "This better be good enough to make up for that crappy game"

Leszek turned off the treadmill at the sound of the alert. It came through loud and clear, he was needed in the operations room along with the rest of wolf squad. Now the fun was about to begin he felt slightly hesitant. Did he really want to be going out into the field yet again? The thought went through his mind yet again. Just one more tour.

He jogged through the base's corridors and up several flights of stairs to the bunkhouse where he found the rest of the squad has already arrived and were either putting on gear or stirring from their beds.

The Pole went straight to his locker and with practised ease, swapped his grey beret for his helmet and put his modular vest over his fatigues. He began whistling a Polish marching song as he dressed.

Shay opened his eyes as someone flipped the bed over, and he yelped as he hit the floor afterwards. He groaned a bit, then he felt someone take his earmuffs off. As the person started talkign, Shay rolled onto his back, sighing as he looked up. He closed his eyes, and put a arm over his mouth as the person crushed his earmuffs, sprinkling them all over him.

"Jerk" He said, then he got up, goign to his cabenant and grabbing his Uniform. He put if on, sighign as he did so. He then grabbed his armor on before sliding his Magnum into his holster. He then looked around, trying to find his rifle. He saw the stock poking out from under the bed, so he reached down, pulling out his ACR. He then nodded, lookign at everyone else in the room.

"The new sarge is kinda jerk, dont you agree?" He says to the group, waiting for them to be ready before they went for the command room.

-------------------------

The commander still had the alert going, the Proffessor and the Engineer. All were waiting for Wolf squad to arrive, and they hoped that they would be quickl or their opportunity to make it to the convoy while they still had time to save them.

------------

Black knew that the squad needed help, and he knew that they were going to lose this fight at this rate. He turned to his squad, quickly summarizing who goes where. He made decisions quickly.

"Wolf and Rex, go to Saber squad, and get them here ASAP, all squads you see get back here now, and load up. We are leaving" Black yells at the two, who without any words said turn and run off towards where the other Marines were. Their yelling couldnt be heard over the gunfire, though it was clear that they were ordering retreat to the few remaining squads.

Black then turned towards Fox.

"Your with me" He said to him, and the two run off towards the wounded soldiers squad. They arrive quickly, only too see five of the pale creatures shooting them. Black noticed that one of the squad was missing, though he knew where he was. He was laying on the ground, plasma having hit him in the chest. Black and Fox took that in quickly, and without delay they raised their rifles and startred covering the squad.

"BACK TO THE HUMVEE'S, GO" Black yelled, noticing a creature pop up to thier right. Black aimed his rifle, the barrel going behind Fox's neck as he let off three shots into the creatures shoulder, which wounded him. Black then saw a yellowy glow on his chest, and he fired a shot into that. The shot tore straight through the creature and took it down. Black then felt someone push him down, and as that happened Plasma went over his head.

Black then got into a croutched stance as he fired his Scar at the aliens, who were backign off a bit. After about fifteen shots, no more shots were leaving the barrel. He took the mag out, replacing it.

"Come on, lets go" Fox said, still shooting a bit. Black nodded, Sstanding up as they kept up the suppessing fire, walkign backwards while doing so.

Fenix charged though the barracks singing 'ride of the Valkyries', knocking over ever single thing between him and his locker in his mad excitement and vein attempt to try and claim his nerves for the mission he was about to go on, and the failure to defeat the games finial challenge.

Life was just fun and games to him, the funny parts, the sad parts, and the serious parts all summed up to one big joke the world was playing on him. And he will laugh, cry and bleed.

He noticed that Leszek and Shay were still there in the room gathering their gear or waiting for the other to get their gear and screamed "Woooooo! We got a mission boys!" As he tore his locker door open, and put all of his gear on as fast as he possibly could and stuffing them in their rightful place, fumbling a little as he did. "Let's kick some teeth in!!!"

He slowed down dramatically as he removed his VKS carefully from the locker, like it was made of glass and looked over every inch of it before whispering "Alright baby, time for you to start scoring~" and slinging it over his shoulder. Then speeding back to the mad rush with the knifes, his duel Glocks and any remaining equipment that had not yet made it onto his person.

He was all over this, and began making his way for the Deck in the same mad charge he toke to the locker.

Leszek finished wrapping himself in armour, then hauled his painted M3 MAAWS onto his back. It wasn't a massive recoilless, but it was heavy and packed a lot of anti-tank potential. Leszek took extra care to make sure the recoilless rifle was unloaded and had it's safeties on. After the launcher had been put in it's straps and secured, the pole grabbed his P90. He checked the sights and the laser pointer saying to his comrade, "He is sergeant, they are all jerks. Who better to keep morons like us in line," then switched the safety on and loaded a clip. He took four more clips, stowing them in his pockets.

"Yes," he replied to his rather enthusiastic team-mate, eager to get off the topic of the Sergeant. "Let us kick in teeth. The rate things have been going, I would not be surprised to find. As the Americans say, this is blue milk run." His accent was pronounced and rough, but not enough to impede speech or understanding.

Leszek shut his locker after grabbing the rest of his gear, Including two imposing looking missiles for the recoilless. He was sure he wasn't going to use them, but it was always good to be ready for anything out in the field.

He meant what he said, the Pole didn't think this operation would be anything special. Leszek waited for his team-mate to finish rushing before heading out to the deck.

Spear smiled as his men mustered before him

He walked down the line inspecting them and adjusting Shy’s armor and giving him a sneer. He stepped back and nodded saying

“all right I’m sergeant MCwingtip. I’ve been there done that, bought the t-shirt and …forgot most of it by now! Hoorah! Now I know we havnt got to know eachother all that well yet but I trust each of you and expect you to do the same for me.”

He walked down the line again

You will have my trust and confidence, unless you do something to make me lose it.”

He said stopping at Shay.

“all right we got a high alert back up mission enemy unkown! Lets go in there and rack up some kills HORRAH LETS GO!”

he shouted signaling for them to get follow him to the transports

Shay ran down the hall, sprinting to where they were meeting. Once their, he lined up. When the new 'jerk' of a sarge started talking, it all went through one ear, came out the other. The sarge fixed his armor a bit, though it made in uncomfortable. He shaked a bit, putting it back how it was. Then when he said it was time to rack up some kills, he sighed. Another thrill seeking sarge, this would not end well....

------------------

The commander looked at both the Proffessor and the Engineer.

"Lets get to the hangar, we need to let them know their main objective" He said to the two, and within seconds they were goign down the halls, running towards where Wolf Squad's ride was.

-----------------

Black and Fox were walking backwards, making sure to keep the squad covered. As they were going, they noticed what looked like more of them coming in from over the sand banks. Black knew they had lost this fight, time to retreat. It took around thirty seconds for them to reach a humvee. Black kept covering them, firing out three shots into one of the creatures chests, taking it down. He knew this was it, they had to leave. Once the men were inside, Black heard Fox telling them something.

"Just drive, get the hell away from here" He said to them, and next thing either of them heard was the wheels of a vehicle driving off.

Black and Fox looked at each other, nodding before turning around and sprinting back to their vehicle. Once they arrived, they noticed that only one squad of marines had made it, which was Saber. Wolf and Rex were right next to them, all six of them were sprinting back. Black and Fox took three steps forwards, and started to cover them.

As Wolf was running, he seeminly aimed at Black, though when he pulled the trigger, the shots went overhead, slamming into a creatures chest. Black heard the collision, grinnign. He and his team had always worked together, and always would. As they arrived, Black spoke quickly to both his own squad, and Saber.

"Saber, we are getting out of here. Into seperate humvees, best shooter on the gun, i dont give a dam about speed limits, as fast as you can out of here, Us to wolves" Once Black said that, all the soldiers got into their vehicles, and after five seconds all you culd hear was gunfire from the Humvee's guns.

Fenix Slid to a prompt end as he finished humming the finishing note. Smash his foot down and stood as straight and as still as he could.

Was this guy serious?

Fenix bit hard on his lip to stop himself from laughing in the face of his new squad leader and force him to choke on his words. Respect was earned not expected, and right now he was quickly losing any he may have had with his sneer at shay. Each word that came out of the Sargent mouth was grating on him, And whats this with a T-shirt? NO ONE CARES!!!

Hoorah? The last time he said Hoorah was on his first day of basic training, and how quickly he learnt it was more a motivation to the instructor to make his ass run, then a motivation for the team to do better. This guy is using it like no tomorrow and now talking about getting to know each other, he could've done that long ago but i guess higher ups have no time to cannon fodder like him, hell even saying hi in the hall way was far to time consuming. Heaven forbid he from saying hello prior to getting thrown into the meat grinder!

Everything else that was said just went blank, thank god he had that extra special training on standing still or this may have been his finial moments. The suspense was killing him!

Maybe later he could offer Shay a drink and talk smack about MCwingtip and cheer him up, he was already putting together one liners for that.

After joining the squad on the deck, Leszek stood to attention as the sergeant said his piece.

It all sounded fine to him. They may not know each other all that well, but out in the field, he had their backs. Finding out whoever they were would have to wait, they had a mission to get to. From all the rush and clamour of the alarms, it sounded urgent.

Leszek didn't waste time thinking about complaining and followed the sergeant to the hangar. What did nag on his mind was the phrase 'enemy unknown'. With all the funding Xcom got, it was hard to think they didn't know who they were going up against. In GROM he'd fought the usual mercenaries and religious extremists. He expected it would be nothing different. Maybe this was some new breed of terrorist with a multinational scope? Ultranationalists maybe? Leszek didn't know. What he did know was he was going to follow orders, to the letter.

Maybe this wasn't going to be some blue milk run after all.

Mcwingtip could tell his speech didn't go well. not that it mattered

he lead them to the hangar where several vehicles were being loaded and readyed.

he didnt like x-com so far but he had to admit they had nice stuff.

Spear saw the commander himself waiting for them! he lead the sqaud over to him

he aproached the commander and 2 others he didn't know who they were and he said

"SIR Wolf squad reporting! all present and acounted for!"

The commander looked towards the entrance to the hangar, noticing that the squad he had asked for had finallaly arrived.

"Good seargent, your mission is to investigate the Marine convoy that got hit. A Seal squad was accompanying it, i lost contact after something attacked them. Bring back any survivors you find. This mission, we do not know what you are up against, and your the only squad going in. Be ready for anything" He said to them, before taking a step back and the Prof walked up.

"Im patched into your display's, we can szee everything that happens. If you engage these attackers, get a close up look at it" She asks them, then backs off.

The three look at each other, nod then turn back to go back to the command center.

------------------------

"Guess its mission time....." Shay said, sighing loudly as he walked onto the aircraft. He knew this was going to be a loooooooong day, especially since he actually had to fight. He prefered sitting at base, sleeping in. He sat down, leaning against the walls.

Spear looked to his men, he could tell he already wasn’t that popular with them. granted he was in no position for popularity, he came out of nowhere to them and was in charge. Also not everyone lived for there job as he did.

"I didn't come here to be popular and make friends, he came here to get the job done!" he said to himself. Still a large part of him wanted his men to care about him, as much as he did for them.

Spear loaded up with the his new team, running over to the airship and getting in, picking a seat closest to the bay doors,

He rested his rifle on his thigh and did a quick comms check making sure his radio was working and properly encrypted

He though for a moment and called out his orders

all right ill drop first and post security,

this is a rescue mission, I need you all to be mindful of your fire, and alert for friendly’s … we all have seen what happens to a even the best marine when the reach there limit! Remember some may have gotten head wounds and may have an altered mental status, could be running around thinking something crazy not even knowing what planet there on. “

spear was silent for a moment recalling a painful memory of exactly that, after a few breaths he continued

keep in mind these guys are probably jittered and will shoot on site of the first thing they see. That said you will hold fire until the command of weapons free.”

He took deep breath and waited. Letting his men take in what he said waiting for questions or anything

Why would a convey of marines benefit from a extra 4 guys... especially when there are a few seals with them? Does a close up include head explosions from scope view? can't we just kill everything that doesn't have a badge and sort the bodies later? listening to what was said just hurt his head to much so instead he started paying attention to how funny the commander looked until we was allowed to move again.

Fenix sort of half jogged into the shuttle to break that statue feeling in his legs and settled down in the furthers seat from the bay doors as the sergeant started rattling his strategy off. His mind was set on repeat with the same though, Much more easier if you didn't need to explain on the shuttle and prepared with the squad before hand. Fenix shook his head to try and get over himself but it continued gnawing at the back of his head, did the sergeant think we were going to die on him and that's why he couldn't be bothered?

When the explanation finished he bit his lip. He hates waiting for the go head to pop some heads, jittered or not he is never on the ground getting shot at but the waiting is unbearable. "So i go last, yeah?" he pointed to his sniper and motioned with his hands that he'd atop some building over watching the operation field. Not that Fenix cared what he would say, he just needed a distraction and started fidgeting impatiently.

Leszek absorbed the information presented to him. Unknown hostiles that could take down a Seal team? He shuddered at the thought. Seals were quite possibly among the best soldiers in the world. If they couldn't handle the situation, what hope did his squad have? Sure, they were good. Not Seal team good though. Surely. Still, the Pole didn't let his reservations show as he boarded the aircraft.

He sat down and checked his communications. All clear. With that, he sat his P90 on his lap and strapped in for the ride. That was when their sergeant started to give the orders.

Sure, perhaps it was off-putting to have a relative stranger giving you orders. Leszek didn't care though. You got on with the job, that was what was important. "Sure boss," he intoned when the Sergeant finished speaking. "Look before shooting, weapons cold on drop, got it." It wasn't like the Pole was going to object to being ordered to not shoot their own side. "I have not heard of groups in, Australia, that might be capable of this. Anyone know who we up against? Or any theories?" he decided to ask aloud. It didn't hurt to ask if anyone had any knowledge that Leszek himself didn't possess. Of course, command had told them they didn't know anything. Still didn't hurt to have a guess, maybe they got it right?

The commander turned and looked towards the hangar operators, giving a thumbs up as he stepped back, away from the bird so that it could lift off without hurting anyone. The pilot was already on board, and the whole hangar was being cleared. The entrance to the base opened up, people shielding their eyes as the sun shone in. The planes rotor blades started spinning, and the ramp closed up. The last thing the soldiers would see, if they were looking out into the hangar, would be the Professor, the Engineer and the Commander staring at them, wishing them luck.

Everyone on the Skyranger felt the plane start to lift off, then, once out of the base. The doors closed, hiding the base again as the Skyranger boosted away towards Australia, heading straight for the desert that they had lost contact with the Marines, and the seal's.

--------

As they took off, Shay sighed, yawning again before turning his head, listening to every word that the sarge had said. His mind was burned with the image of the Commander, they were expecting high things from them, and he knew he had to do his best to make them proud. As the sarge finished, Shay sighed loudly, then looked at him.

"Sir, we don't need another thrill seeking sarge who will be shot before he even has a chance to buy us all a drink for being a jerk, Im dropping down right next to you" He said, staring at the sarge with a look that said even if he said no, he was doing it anyway. After that, he took out the mag of his ACR, making sure it was loaded before putting the cartridge back in the rifle. He was not sitting on one of the seats, he was just sitting against the wall, relaxing before they dropped. He hopped this would go smoothly, and he hopped this trip wouldn't take to long.

-------------

After they had started to drive off, Black was in the driver seat, his foot on the accelerator, pushing its limits. The Humvee was going max speed, but the creatures were still keeping up. From what Black could hear, was hovering noises, though it was faint and muffled by the sound of the 50.cal firing non stop. Black heard a window shatter as Fox, who was in the passenger seat, shattered the window with the butt of his MK 14 EBR. Then, He could hear the loud shots it firing at Aliens. Next thing Black could hear, was Rex, who was on the roof, duck down, taking cover from the top as plasma flew over the vehicle. He unstrapped his Vector, throwing it in the back as he got back up, shooting again. After that, Black heard wolf cheering as he hit one, the sound of his L118A1 still ringing inside the vehicle. Black could hear constant chatter between the three as they covered their escape. A trail of rubber burn was stuck along the ground from the high speed.

Spear looked at Shay as he spoke.

He fought the urge to grab him by the throat and throwing him around for a bit.

He missed the old days

After making sure his words were appropriate and said

“Is that how you speak to your superior?”

I want you all to use whatever tactics your comfortable with ill work around you!”

He hear the pilot tell them they were about to touch down. He nodded and shouted out

“LANDING 3 MINUTES!”

the plane soon slowed down and the back opened up!

The dessert was filled with destroyed vehicles and charred sand.

Spear jumped off the plane strafing- there appeared to be no survivors. He looked around

The battle was long over and they now needed to play the tracking game

“report anything you can find! We need to find these guys!”

Spear scanned the remains for a clue himself. But then he saw something

A body small-to small to be a seal. He came up on it and turned on a light

“whaaa …. Holy ….. COMMAND ARE YOU GETTING THIS!”

he set his head camera and looked at the corpse.

It was small only about 4 feet tall very little muscle and fat, its nude body had hairless grey skin and a enlarged head!

Spear looked around, this had to be some kind of prank! A Hollywood prop or something!

He came up on the body and looked about making sure the camera saw everything.

Grabbed a hand full of and tossed it on the small body. After seeing no reaction he drew his kife and poked it a few times.

There was only one way to confirm if this thing was real or not. To himself and whoever was watching.

He stabbed the small creature in the stomach and yanked the knife ripping it open; reveling a full set of organs and blood!

“ohhh myyyy. COMMAND WE ARE DEALING WITH EXTRATRESSTRIAL ENMIES! I REPEAT ThE ENMEMY ….. IS NOT OF THIS EARTH!”

he looked back to his men and took a second to collect himself

“o.k ..o.k –o.k team this doesn’t change anything we need to find the seals and get them out of here! Watch your fire, increase dispersion; we don’t know what weapons they have so lets just keep the distance of lets say … 15 feet. ALL RIGHT LETS GO!”

Fenix was quite impressed with Shays comment and almost crack a smile had the sergeant not looked like some bull about to rampage. Superior? yes... Everyone would talk to a Superior Asshole like that, but maybe he wasn't so bad... Let me use my own tactics is like handing candy to children, instant happiness for a short duration.

He crack his knuckles when the shuttles door opened to the arid wastelands of Australia’s desert. He remember reading a book on Australia having every single dangerous creature in the world so the enemy force might not be the greatest threat they face on this mission, But will most likely be the most fun to shoot. He was bouncing on his heels and hugging the rifle tightly with a stupid grin on his face that had mysteriously appeared.

He started the tune again but was cut short when his boots hit the ground, his disappointment eminatted like a dark cloud and threw his hand into the air with a disgruntled look "So what!? We too late or something!? No fun shooting things that aren't moving and already have holes in them... Buzz kill much... So everyone’s dead, what are we ganna do now? Can we go home?"

Extraterrestrials...? YES!!! No Geneva Convention applies, flamethrowers and everything bad can be used with no repercussions!

He scanned around to find the highest vantage point he could and immediately proceeded to run for it, Stuff that 15 feet crap. He just told me to use my tactics not 5 minutes ago.

Well, if nobody was going to be productive then Leszek decided he would simply shut up. Best not to get into an argument with your own side, who were all proficient killers and had loaded weapons. At any rate, Leszek spent the rest of the quite short trip in silence until the ramp went down revealing the scorched remains of the convoy in the scorching heat of the Australian sun.

The outback was not exactly what one would call 'hospitable'. The red sand bit at feet and the sparse scrub held many dangers, Leszek decided it was best to keep his eyes open just in case there were any nasties around. The Pole marched off the skyranger after everyone else had stormed out. He took a breath of fresh air before shouldering his submachine gun and surveying the carnage. Humvees laid scattered around and black scorch marks spoilt the earth. Spent rounds littered the floor and gore was prevalent.

Keeping close, the Pole moved towards one of the humvees and inspected the damage. It looked like something had melted right through the armour. Granted Leszek figured humvees were outdated and ill-equipped by now, as used as he was with dealing with IEDs. Still, it would have required a high powered rifle, or even high heat rounds to punch through that armour. Those things were far out of the hands of simple terrorists. "It looks like this, burn right through, what could do this?" he asked aloud once more.

That was when the sergeant called that they were dealing with extra-terrestrials. If they weren't in a combat situation, Leszek might have laughed at that. Instead he simply stated, "huh," and continued on. He didn't see any proof that this was aliens, how could it be? No, it was terrorists. Well funded ones... The Pole moved away from the humvee and further into the destruction, keeping within the fifteen metre boundary set by the sergeant. Who knows, maybe he'd find something that would give them a clue?

As Black drove as fast as he could, he also heard that the gunfire had dwindled down. Their used to be two fifty cals shooting, now, their was only one. Black sighed to himself, Saber was down, they were the last four men that were alive, except for maybe one or two squads. After around a minute, Black eard the shooting slow down, from both sides, stopping after another minute. He breathed heavily, glad it was over.

"Good job team, lets get the hell out of here" Black called to the team, who cheered before all of them stopped maning their posts, taking a breather as they rested in ther seats. After another minute, Black thought it was a little quiet. He heard a sound, coming from the front. He looked forwards, focusing on a certain point, noticing a green orb, heading right for them.

"BAIL" Black yells, and grabs his Scar, which was sitting right next to him. He opened the door, and jumped out onto the sand. The team had bailed out a moment after him, then, they all yelped in pain as a explosion behind them launched them further, causing them to impact on the sand harshly, and start to roll down it a bit. Once they reached the bottom, non of them moved, too tired, and now injured, to do much. Black managed to sit up, grunting in pain as he did so, looking around, he saw all his team their, laying in the sand.

Once the ship dropped, Shay walked out right next to the sarge, sticking to what he said. As he observed the trashed battle field around him, he sighed, noticing how many were gone. He walked towards some of the marines, pulling their dog tags off, and putting them in his pocket. He planned to maoke sure they were sent home, so their family's would know. After he finished getting all of them, he heard the sarge freak out, causing him to raise his rifle, aiming around him, then, he noticed the corpse. He ran over, stairing at it, then turned away in disgust.

Great, so now we are dealing with aliens, well, good knowing you guys

Shay said to them all, throwing his arms up in the air before looking towards all the humvee. All had severe plasma burns, some were smoking, some were on fire. Out of all of them, only one was in any shape to move, though it was missing all its doors, and the glass was all shattered, along with black stains on it. a He was about to turn back, to head towards the Skyranger, then he heard a explosion in the distance, as well as some smoke from it.

Umm, please tell me we are NOT going to investigate that...

---------------------

"We are reading you Wolf, keep in touch" Command replied to the Sarge, sighing as he, and the others, tried to come up with a explenation
