History:

Sole is the middle child of three siblings; her elder sister is named Solemn Song, and her younger brother, Solace Seeker. Her mother died shortly after Solace was born, and their father, seeming lost without her, wandered away one day and did not come back. Sole and her siblings were taken in by their maternal uncle and his wife, who had no foals of their own.

As her name suggests, Sole Star views herself as the brightest of her three siblings. Being the younger sister, she was fawned upon a great deal before her brother's birth, especially by her father, for her obvious magical potential, and the attention planted the seed of conceit in the young pony's heart. Unlike her soft-spoken elder sister, young Sole was gregarious and even somewhat pushy, easily making friends, but often starting arguments when things didn't quite go the way she wanted them to.

Sole was noticed from a young age for her remarkable singing voice--and again, unlike her sister, Sole knew this and took advantage of it, becoming something of a local phenomenon during her younger school years; she took part in many musicals, and joined the school chorus, becoming well-known for her solos; one such solo, a particularly difficult piece relating to overcoming loss, earned her her cutie mark.

In the process, Sole ended up becoming the de facto big sister; when ponies approached Solemn, the older pony would often hide behind the younger until she managed to shoo away all the prying eyes; while she appreciated the attention, she could never stand to see her sister subjected to such pressure. It was at Sole's suggestion that Solemn pursued her hobby as a composer, and, when both ponies had graduated, Sole purchased her own residence in Canterlot and allowed her older sister to stay there.

Nowadays she uses her performing talent as an excuse to travel Equestria. Though she remains in the shadow of greater stars like Sapphire Shores, she relishes each and every opportunity she has to go on-stage and perform. While the job does tend to take her away from Canterlot fairly regularly, she always makes time to return to her home and make sure her sister is doing well. Perhaps, she reasons, she will be able to one day return with the best news of all--that she had found their father...

Summary:

She remains somewhat arrogant to this day, but hides it beneath a genteel, adoring smile. She is scathing to those who have offended her, however, and she is easily offended. She is good at commanding attention and is something of a natural leader, and maintains an extensive collection of books in her home. Sole is quite intelligent, and is not afraid to ply her smarts or her beauty to get what she wants. If thwarted, however, she tends to fuss and whine.

Unlike her elder sister, who caved in under emotional pressure, or her younger brother, who is too young to remember the pain of loss, Sole deals with her issues by making herself noticeable--maybe noticeable enough to one day earn her father's attention, if he's still alive.

Deep down, Sole Star is a lonely pony, although she tries not to let others see this. Her greatest fear is feeling insignificant and ignored, and she values the time she spends with her family. Like Solace, she knows that Solemn is easily-wounded and fragile, and will attack anyone who harms her without thought of harm to herself.

Sole deals with the grief of losing her parents differently from her sister. While Solemn drew up inside herself to shield herself from further emotional harm, Sole, already gregarious and loud, grew moreso; she works hard to draw attention to herself and make herself feel significant and meaningful, and she continues to perform in the hopes that somewhere, someday, she'll find her father and, in her eyes, earn him back.

Of her siblings, Sole's magic is the most potent and also the most commonly used. Her family's predilection toward sound magic manifests as the ability to draw attention with her voice, and to add authority to her commands, though the effect is minor and easily ignored by anyone who is aware of it. She picks up sound-related spells with ease, and also studies illusion and light-manipulation magic to make her performances more effective.

Hi there! And welcome to the forums! Now, just take my advice with a grain of salt... because I am not a RP-Assistant. But there are a few things I should probably go ahead and tell you to quickly get things sped along for you.

The character does have a great amount of potential.

Some might say that the history is a little too brief. The story seems to cut off abruptly at the cutie mark, and doesn't do much justice with detailing how life came to be for her as she grew older. She suffered an understandable loss, and according to the character summery has effected her greatly. But how did she grow up with that? Or what was her career path like? Was it uneventful? Or did she have success? Did her path lead her to chase after father.

The summary is fine. But the history needs some more substance.

Hi there!

I will echo the comments of Moonshine Theleocat here.

This app is well filled out, but it's simply too brief in the History section.

The Cutie Mark story, though brief, I think is fine.

Please keep working on this app, sounds like a very interesting character!
