Cutie Mark: Three brown logs stacked in a pile. Being that his family comes from a long line of ponies who worked with their hooves Caber always had an interest in woodworking. When he was in his earlier youth his father would take him to the marketplaces of Fet Loch and Caber would always be fascinated by the woodwork of local carpenters and their ornate patterns. His interest had then resulted in him trying carpentry himself, under the eyes of his parents of course, and surprisingly enough he had quite the talent at it. He would make all sorts of things out of wood, fix furniture, create decorations, design small models, etc. it then came to be that in his later youth his cutie mark had come to be after he finished furnishing a large, decorative, chair for his mother.

History
Caber Fern de Spruce was born a younger brother to Birch Fern de Spruce and the second son of Angus Fern and Juniper de Spruce. His father, Angus Fern, came from a family of masons and smithies who made a profit in selling their various goods to the wealthy of Fet Loch while Caber’s mother, Juniper de Spruce, hailed from a line of minor nobles who got their wealth and titles from the wine industry of the Prench countryside. The marriage of Angus and Juniper had surprised their families in both positive and negative ways, but that has hardly ever concerned Caber expect for having a combined last name and his hardly ever used title of “Sir Caber of the Fern and de Spruce families”.

When Caber was growing up in the outskirts of Fet Loch his family was hardly ever short on money what with his father’s family business and his mother’s wealth from her family’s wineries. Despite all the wealth, Caber’s family still lived a fairly modest life being that his parents barely bought anything in the least bit extravagant while Caber and Birch would almost fanatically spend their allowances on comic books and snacks. In fact, the monetary status of the Fern de Spruce family had little to no effect as to which schools Caber and Birch would go to being that the two of them flat out refused going to private schools.

After his childhood school years and after he got his cutie mark in carpentry Caber spent most of his young adult life working with his father while Birch left at the same time to find a fulfilling occupation. It was also at around this time that Caber was given the honorary title of “sir” from his mother’s father, Baron Crème de la Crème de Spruce. In all honesty the whole ordeal was more of a gag on Caber’s grandpa’s side (the guy always had a weird sense of humor), and Caber also felt the same way about it though to a lesser extent, but it was Caber’s mother who took it very seriously being that having one of her sons have an honorary title was something to be proud of. The title eventually kind of felt weird to Caber, so he just eventually stopped using it (unless he wanted to try and quickly impress somepony, in that case he would more than gladly use it).

Eventually after a few years of working with his father and looking over the family home, Caber decided to move out and try to start up a carpentry business which worked out for a grand total of two months until he decided to just book it out of Fet Loch and offer his services in woodworking to those who needed it. In doing so, his mother is in constant contact with him via mail to make sure he finds a job to do no matter how inept he is at the skill the job requires or whether or not he agrees with doing the job.

As of now, Caber simply meanders and wanders around Equestria in hopes of getting some money, a job, and just plain old sightseeing and wanderlust.

Character Summary/PersonalitySlow to anger and quick with a laugh, Caber is a pretty well-to-do pony who often tries to get along as best as he can with others which is why he often likes talking with others. Some might consider him fairly talkative though if they talk to him about carpentry, gardening, and or travelling in which case the pony talking to Caber ought to expect a long dialogue about his exact feelings of said thing, one or two exploits he had while doing said thing, and maybe a short anecdote that will lead into him talking about another topic. That doesn’t mean that Caber doesn’t know when to talk and when to not talk, in fact more often than not ponies would assume he’s a fairly quiet fellow being that he barely talks about things he’s doesn’t have an interest in.

Despite being a pretty good pony and talker, Caber does have a few things about him that one might consider negative or unappealing. For starters, if he assumes that he or his family are being insulted then he’ll return an insult to whomever he assumed was insulting him. Another thing is that he is somewhat overbearing when doing work or talking about himself, not to say that he’s in any way narcissistic. In terms of bravery Caber is a bit foolhardy when it comes to confronting somepony or doing some hard task.

-In your cutie mark story your character is called "Gorky" though I see you have changed his name to Caber Fern. ;)

Once you make this edit, let me know here and I will send this in for approval.
