Name: Umekile
Gender: Stallion
Age: Young-Middle Aged Adult. Roughly a decade older than Twilight Sparkle.
Species: Unicorn

Eye colour: Sapphire Gemnite that can glow when empowering magic in the dark(Gives away his position) He innately does this when showing emotion as well.

Character colour: Umekile is a light, olive brown with a tanning underside. He may also be a bit dirty considering he's akin to long journeys with few stops in between(Likely bathes once a week, ponies! Give him a bath!)
Mane: Mane is a long, greasy black color. It does gleam and likely could use a wash! Hangs out over the eyes and down over his shoulders. Can and has been tied back into ponytails and braided!(interesting stories to tell) It is often matted over his skull due to being shoved and covered by his very prominent hat... making it look a little ratty when let down; often tangled or stiff.

Tail: Stocked recently but has begun to grow out again; same as his mane a slick and greasy black coloration. He stocks it once every few months as he managed to get a longer tail stuck in doors(either fleeing or just on the way out!)

Other: His mane is noticeable longer than his tail. Umekile does have fur growing out from his ears, chin and fetlocks as well; giving him a very rugged, wanderer look. His ear and chin furs curl the fur is so elongated.

Physique: This particular stallion is rather tall; unusually so. Exceeding the Princess Cadenza... but not her weight. He's lankish and skinny, with probably more weight in fur than fat! Not all that good in a brawl. He wears his cloaks to imply that he is thicker underneath. Seeing Umek move can be described less of a trot, and more of a loping. Mockingly described as "skin and bones".

Residence: The roads across Equestria and Beyond.. And anywhere ponies are willing to let him spend the night(for free or for coin.) While not a gung-ho survivalist, Umekile is akin to nature on a level that makes him particularly keen in occupying wilderness. His magical aptitude is also a plausible excuse. He does not sleep in the deep wood, but he has spent nights on the roadside by a fire and in the rain.

Occupation: Wandering Sorcerer and Dark Magick Purger. Willing helping hoof for some pay here or there.
Cutie Mark: Bound Leather book with gold rims and an Arcane, sapphire "A" on the closed cover.
Unique Traits: Grown out furs along the ears, chin and fetlocks. He also dons a wide brim, dark brown hat. And worn, brown robes lined with small, gold, arcane trim(which a brood made of Silver and a swirling, sapphire 'A' at the center.

History:

Umekile was born in Hefferlin, a rural community South of the Equestrian Homeland(border town) that farmed wheat and produced dairy that was shipped and traded North to Canterlot and outward. This unusual unicorn was born to a family of earth ponies(Whom in fact did know of Unicorn blood several generations back through his Mother's Line); Lodin(Father) and Aylmmint(Mother; Herb Grower)

With a very small number of unicorns(that being himself and one of the villgage Elders) Umekile did not find much of an affinity for magic until he were old enough to find tutelage under Brimm; a Canterlotian flunk out who had journeyed south many years ago, and found himself living in Hefferlin's largest Windmill, above the grindstone. While not a master, Brimm was well versed in basic to intermediate Magicks in his youth... and as an Elder had enough knowledge to pass to the young unicorn for many years.

This did not exempt the colt from common farm-handing. While certainly not the strongest of the young stallions, Umekile was able to find a means to pull his own weight every harvest season; Through Levity he became an almost machine-efficient harvester of wheat using the Arching wheat-scythe to neatly hack and cut down the fields faster than near everypony in his village... It suited him better than pulling heavy carts and jobs of muscular strength(which.. probably still plagued him)

When he'd come of age his parents approved of him leaving home; Hefferlin was just not his fate so much as it was theres. With proper training from Brimm, and a little bit of coin they sent him away to live with a distant friend of the Family so that the young, tall stallion might attend Canterlot's Magic Academy for more advanced studies.

He lived with an alchemist by the name of Archerine Aigo; who specialized in metalworking and ... funny as it sounds Medicinal tonics. Apprenticed to this older unicorn Umek would attend both Academy and Work for him... developing a strong bond.

He attends for nearly 3 full years before an excessive workload flunks him out of Academy(This is shortly after Twilight Sparkle attains her cutie Mark). As a young adult with no real reason to continue living in Canterlot(he also wasn't a fan of consistant musical numbers) and yet an infatuation for Magic and life abroad.

Saying goodbye to his Guardian, the young mage strikes off on his own; though avoiding larger cities and approving of a life more essential to constant journeying, exploration and learning through experience and less through literacy. This brought him to become a formidable but sensible Sorcerer that leads him to usually retain a neutral position on most conflicts until he decides that he must involve himself. Well gifted in elemental magic, Umek is akin to Fire, Lightning and Ice(in that order of efficiency) but also more base, energy spells such as magical beams, missiles and teleportation; shielding included(though he does not often create bubbles)

His willingness to stoop down into dark, unventured places had led him to pursue a more virtuous approach to his never ending journey to become a respected Wizard. He is a purger of Dark magic and thus the Waterwhyte(bane of darkness spell) acts as his specialization... the destruction of those who would dabble in the abbysal arts. Common struggles are debated as to whether or not he would involve himself... But anypony under the guise of Black Arts will instantly envoke his involvement.

Despite these excessive qualities, he is still learning... while formidable he is not undefeatable and in fact.. when taken off guard can be subdued as easily as anypony else. When prepared however... this is when he is his most dangerous.

He has quite a long way to go~

Character Summary/Personality: Despite what may sound as impressive qualifications in creating a character who is biased, egotistical and vane, Umek is in fact rather reserved, humble and polite. Though not without his own, perhaps somewhat narrow opinions on certain species of ponies, he hardly believe himself to be above others from a legal stature. If accused he would rightfully ask that you provide some evidence. Highly tolerant of irritations but when broken he is explosive and by that logic, maybe even dangerous in the wrong situations.

Umekile is not shy, but due to usually being a loner he is without consistent conversation. He has an unusual speech pattern when both formal and casual. He actually enjoys conversation, but isn't neccasarily that good at it. His levels of charisma are far from the life of the party.

As a wanderer with only so much money in his pockets at a time, this stallion has learned to become very humble and very polite to those he seeks help from. While he is lenient however, he is not a pushover... and when a certain barrier is reached he will quickly assert his opinion.

He has a growing wisdom and philosophy pertaining to the living, breathing world around him... not so much the scoundrels and backstabbing life of cities and politics. He acknowledges that these are beyond him and thus tries his best to stay away from conflict on a large scale... but it also makes him somewhat naïve and easily swindled out of money if your tongue is clever enough to fool him. Though he HAS trusted enough bad guys to learn there may likely be an ambush or an arrest waiting around the corner for him.

He loves foals; and has an irresistible desire to make the cute ones dance and play if only a little magick needs to be applied to a dreary formula. Whether that be fireworks or small illusions and sight-of-hoof tricks... unless they're suspicious.. he can't help but alleviate frowns.

Umekile tends to keep a positive attitude toward most tasks he is given, but knows when and where to use a serious approach.

He's easy to fluster.. and not all that good with flirting(unprepared at least.) When this stallion makes a mistake; he will likely overreact. Or make things more complicated.

Despises dark magic; you could be the worst politician in the history of Equestria and Beyond.. but you would not attain nearly as much despot from him. These feelings exist on two different planes to him. Regular Despot... And then fueled hatred by obligation to destroy.

While he is technically looking out for the benefit of everypony; this does not make him a leading protagonist. His moral compass is not perfectly aligned(even he may not notice that) Umekile will go to many ends to see something finished if it boils down to the hard, trivial decisions. He will say things not everypony will be fond of.

Oh but he is outwardly friendly to most strangers. The question is how much faith you're willing to put into this journeystallion! <3

Ya know I don't remember why I put "Late" maybe as a play on the fact she was shoehorned in at the last second for Season 2? I don't know why that still eats me inside even though I actually love Princess Cadenza. Though if I had to guess... "Late" would have been an improper means of saying "However tall she was the last time we saw her." lol

But aside from this. If we're good to Rock'n'Roll .... lets, as they say: "Hoof It." sha'll we? x3

Ooh I have one question myself! xD Since that little grayline above my head says "Rock Farmer" I'd love for it to jokingly be replaced by "Wheat farmer"
