So you want to hear a story, eh? One about adventure? About Wealth? About... Guns? If not too bad, I'm telling you anyway.

Pandora... a wretched badland filled with bandits, beasts and badasses* of all kinds. Only a fool would search for something of value here. Or so we thought...

A rare Eridian artifact know only as the Vault is said to be buried deep in the bloodsoaked sand. Tales of Treasure. Fame. Power. Mares.

So you understand why the kiddos grow up to be Vault Hunters. Our story begins with them, a... well lets call her a guardian angel that will guide them to their prize and most importantly. Me.

At the fyrestone bus stop-

"Don't panic." Said a voice through comms of the three Vault Hunters on the bus. "Me talking to you is no cause for alarm. You seek the vault. I know how to find it." She said as the bus slowed down. "Get off the bus and get acquainted with the others. Your not going to be able to do this alone."

"Here we are fyrestone depot." Said the big man at the front of the bus. He had a scumy look about him, like he already knew how he was going to rip you off. He watched as three passengers gathered their supplies. "Well we're here don't bother saying goodbye im sure we'll be doing this again soon enough. Hehe. Get off my bus." He said suddenly getting serious when he told them to get off.

"That was rude." Said the shortest female to her new company. "I'm Tanya and this-" she said as a large purple crab worm climbed off the roof of the bus and began to nestle up against the girl. "Is Praxis. What's your names?"

(*this is the only swear word I will allow because it is used in character names.)

Midnight hadn't been paying attention during the bus ride, instead the girl has been on her Echo watching it with fascination. It had been running through her more recent experiments with her minigun, experiments where she had been trying to fix the fire rate without the gun itself overloading. She nearly missed the voice telling her to become friendly with the others, and even as she was moved from the bus, hadn't taken her eyes from the Echo.

The girl looked up hearing the other girl start talking, looking at her curiously, before a short intake of breath as the Crab Worm settled next to her, completely ignoring Tanya and walking closer to the worm "T-that's...a Crab Worm...You, oh, that's Wonderful!" she said, a large smile moving onto her face "What a fascinating creature, usually hostile towards anything, this one seems perfectly trained and affectionate!..." before turning back to Tanya, where her smile vanished and an almost dead-panned expression comes onto her face.

"Midnight...." she says simply in response to the question "It is rude not to answer that, isn't it?" she mumbled to herself without realizing she's speaking out loud "when asked, you're meant to reply I think, and since she's already introduced herself...hmm, I suppose next phase of conversation is for him, then..hmm, uncertain..."

Sikira sat at the back of the bus watching the scenery go by. He was busy listening to his music in his headphones as they came to a stop at their destination. The largest of the three then noticed that they were unloading. Vouching to get up and grab his Sniper.

He adjusted his large mortar on his back and made sure everything was secure on him. When he found everything to be well locked into place, he started off the bus. Taking his headphones off just In time to hear the large man's brash words.

He narrowed his eyes and eventually stepped down. His expression hidden under his hood and behind his gasmask. He took in a breath of air and exhaled as he held one strap of his pack and his gun in the other hand.

One of the girls spoke. Apparently her name was Tanya, she had a purple worm thing named praxis. He raised an eyebrow at the beast for a bit. He had blown up many things like it's kind before.

Next came the other female. She had a hayday when she saw Praxis. He gave a small shake of his head and a smile behind his mask which was unseen to the others.

Her name was midnight. He liked her trench coat. It was kinda like his cloak.

Sikira held his hand out to Tanya. "The name is Sikira. Nice to meet you." He said softly. His voice sounding gravelly. ((Think of Ulysses from lonesome road in fallout new Vegas))

Tanya smiled as the other girl inspected Praxis. "I was born in a village where the citizens could tame." She said scratching the soft tissue under the Beast's chin. Her attention was grabbed by the man that had gotten off with them. She grabbed his hand and gave it a solid shake before giving him a small smile.

Their conversation was cut short by the sound a very obnoxious sounding robot. "Hello! I am a C-L-4-P T-P, but you can just call me Claptrap!" He said in a never changing upbeat tone. "If you'd follow me I'll open the gate into fyrestone." He said rolling off towards the city gate control console. Suddenly the voice returned to the group. "Follow the silly little robot, he'll set you on your journey to find the Vault."

Tanya turned to listen to the robot, finding him humorous, but his voice. His voice sounded like programmers installed it as an office joke. She almost didn't follow but the voice returned telling her to follow him. She signed before clicking her tongue. At the sound of the clicks Praxis began to burrow into the ground quickly submerging himself in the sand.

Sikira gave a smile under his mask at the handshake before he heard the voice again and let her hand go.

He readjusted his mortar on his back and walked to the gate with the weird sounding robot. In all honesty he was sort of playing his edm music faintly in his headphones and was paying a little more attention to the music instead of the annoying tone of the claptrap thing.

His armor hissed gently as he carried his stuff. The suit carrying a good amount of the weight.

Midnight watched as her prediction was correct, the male from the bus spoke next introducing himself as Sikira...Sikira and Tanya..names, names to remember. The girl quickly imputed them into her Echo, before perking up again listening to the taming of the Worm. She watched the pair completely thralled before the robot, Claptrap, arrived.

She began following him aswell, if only because she was prompted to by the voice. She looked at the others, before frowning slightly and once again, starting to talk to herself "Odd, voice gives presence of location and situation, implying visual overlooking, but there isn't someone here plus their voice is almost monotone even with a slight change in...hmm...."

The claptrap worked on the console for a moment but suddenly stopped as the sounds of a heavy diesel engines grew closer. "Oh no! Not a again!" He yelled before running into a nearby shack to hide.

"What do you mean not ag-" Tanya started, cut short as two bandit runners suddenly appeared. The bandits drove quickly, coming from the road the bus drove down. Before anyone could react the bandits plowed through the door, attempting run over the Vault Hunters but only succeed in opening the gate. One of the runners quickly drove out of sight but the other commenced performing donuts while the passengers began spouting out insults and throwing out vulgar hand signs before blowing up a fuel tank and then continuing after the first vehicle.

Tanya smiled at the scene, pulling out her e-tech shotgun. "Show time." She said taking point into the village.

Midnight looked up at the arrival of the Bandit Runners, and instead of reacting with fear or surprise, she simply sidestepped the vehicle and dodged it. She placed her Echo back into her pocket, before staring at the donutting Runner unimpressed. She reached inside her coat, right as the vehicle flew into the village.

"...Interesting, bandits seem to have been watching us from afar, an interesting move and made useless by such a crude method of entry. Bandits have now trapped themselves in a small circle...Most efficient course of action...elimation through force..."

The girl smiles as she reaches into her coat, pulling out what looked like a large black square. Pressing a button on the top, it expands outwards ending up with a large minigun with over a dozen barells, all of them spinning "...Time to being the experiment..." she says simply as she begins walking into the village.

Sikira moved out of the way of the vehicle as it smashed its way through the gate just in time. He grunted as a board hit his chest. The pain was not existent as his shield took the hit.

"Really?" He growled as the runner tore around. He rolled his eyes and cocked "The end". He walked in and peered around.

Tanya smiled as her allies pulled out massive guns and followed her into the town. The town seemed empty, in fact, if Tanya hadn't seen the cars blast down the door, she'd believe that the town was deserted.

The three Vault Hunters moved through the town, reaching the town square within a few minutes. Tanya began surveying the buildings around the square, soon noticing the figures that now surrounded them. Before Tanya could announce their current predicament, gunfire erupted from the bandits' weapons.

Tanya began firing her weapon, letting the arching plasma rain onto the bandits. As she reloaded she whistled sharply, calling for Praxis to join the fray. The ground shook, as the crab worm breached the sand like a whale. Using his body to stand straight up, he stood taller than the one story buildings. Praxis pulled himself back into the ground creating a temporary sinkhole that swallowed up several bandits. "Good boy!"

Midnight had returned her focus to her Echo as the bandits hide from them, the girl quickly finishing her predictions and calculations on her weapon, before finally putting it away right as the gun fight started. The bullets went towards her vanished into her shield, the girl not even flinching as she gripped her weapon with two hands, one at the base and the other on the support handle half way down. She turned to face her 'third', her mind assuming the other Vault Hunters would take the remaining 2 thirds for themselves, her eyes going over her targets.

"3 main locations...engaging" she mutters as she finally pulls the trigger, her creation coming to life. At first, just the barells began spinning, then after a few seconds, the gun came to life. Each round it fired out was a different element, the circular rotation inside her gun ensuring that an Explosive round wasn't followed by another Explosive round, and instead a Corrosive round instead would be fired. All of these calculations had been pre-done and acted upon within the minisecond by the guns advanced systems. The result ended with Midnights minugun firing out a combination of Slag, Shock and Explosives at the first lot of bandits, wiping them out with very little contest as what little shields they had melted away before being exploded by the Slag and detonation rounds. She let go of the trigger, moving her gun towards the next lot in her path.

"Setting 12 successful, set to Sl,SH and EX combination. Effective uses against shielded organic foes in large clumps..." she reported into her Echo "Setting 13 set up....next phase about to commence..." her voice was deadpanned, no joy, no fear, just pure scientific endeavour.

Sikira peered around as they neared the town square. He had a very bad feeling and slipped away from the group to a thing of stairs. Running up them and panting as he rounded the corner. He jumped and grabbed a few loose boards and climbed up higher to a deck patio. Hopping over the railing he spotted a bandit looking fella grabbing a rocket launcher.

He walked behind him and grabbed his head before slamming it through the railing and sending him falling to the ground below.

Sikira heard the gunfire below and the erruption of the massive beast Tanya had. He moved to the edge of the railing and hummed as he saw the carnage. Midnight had a impressive weapon. It fired so many elements!

He hummed to himself gently as he spotted a battalion of several dozen bandits running in from the northwest. He could see the glint of the metal on them.

Sikira pulled his mortar off his back. Setting the massive steel contraption on the deck before hitting the switch. The core inside whirred to life and the machine anchored into the wood with a loud clamp. Breaking the wooden planks below it but securing it to the deck with several anchors.

A computer screen appeared and soon the field cloak activated. Covering him and it in invisibility. Sikira opened the munitions box that was built into the machine and grabbed a few heavy rounds before loading it and pressing a few buttons on the machine.

A Lazer activated and arced up and down to the ground below. The computer marking moving targets. Sikira stood and pulled the bipod down on his sniper. He set it up on the railing and aimed. Finding one goon firing from cover at midnight.

He inhaled and exhaled before firing his shot. The sniper bullet killing the goon instantly. He turned his gaze to the group's of enemies and smiled as the mortar chimed.

"Have a good day!" A little girl called from the machine before it fired. Sending a shockwave of air that could be felt for quite a ways.

The round dissapeares into the sky. Then a loud whistle is heard and the round comes out of the sky in a contrail of smoke. The bandit group looks up and soon the blast hits. Turning them to mush and shaking the ground.

The mortar begins it barrage. Firing shots at groups and blowing them to shreds. Sending pieces of buildings flying as the blasts shake the town. Sikira on the other hand keeps picking off single targets with deadly efficiency.

Tanya paused her shooting, allowing Praxis to fight for her for the moment. She hollered commands to Praxis as he pulled bandits into the ground and jumped on them, breaching and re-diving on them like some sort of sand dolphin. Tanya took this moment to inspect her allies as they fought.

The mare had drawn a mini-gun and was firing a barrage of elemental bullets. The myriad of colors was apparently just as dead as it was beautiful. "MAKE THEM TASTE THE RAINBOW!" Tanya exclaimed in Midnight direction before she began to look for Sikira.

The male was out of sight but his marker showed he was on the second floor of a building. Tanya turned to the building, he must have been cloaked cause she didn't see him. What she did see was the mortar rounds shooting into the sky from his echo's location. "Ooh.... pretty."

Sikira fired over and over. He was doing well. He grabbed a new clip and went to load it when suddenly he was grabbed in a full Nelson! He gasped and grunted as he tried to struggle free.

"You sneaky little rat!" The nomad laughed that grabbed him. He tried to struggle free but the giant bandit laughed.

He threw Sikira from the balcony. The heavy male giving a yell as he hit the roof of the lower floor and bounced off. He hit the ground with a thud. He coughed as pain rippled through his side. "Ouch!" He coughed.

The nomad jumped down and landed beside him. "You are puny little mechanical man!" The nomad laughed as Sikira tried to recover from the fall.

Midnight bypassed the rainbow comment thrown at her, while comic in nature, it failed to provide her with any strong significant information about her weapon she didn't already know, which is the colours erupting from her weapon were colourful and gave her enemies a 99% chance of death. She'd swapped her Minigun over to system firing setting 13, just as she noticed the male being thrown down onto the ground. She tilted her head at the view as her mind quickly came up with the reason, an ambush by the Norman, who was threatning to kill an ally. Unaccepble...

Swinging her Minigun to face the single Norman, she let it rip. Jamming the trigger down as a enslaught of Corrosive, Cyro and Incendiary bullets flew over Sikira's head and into the Norman, who tried to stand his ground hoping his shields could survive the storm. He lasted a grand total of 4 seconds under Midnight's concentrated fire before being torn apart and lit on fire, screaming for less than a second before dropping onto the ground. Letting go of her trigger, she let go of her Minigun with her left hand, pulling out her  Massacre LMG, and firing it from the hip to push the bandits into cover as she finally made her way over to him.

"...The battle is yet to be finished, your assistance is required..." she says simply, putting away her LMG and grabbing her minigun with those hands again, looking around for any bandits brave enough to take a shot of at her.

Tanya gasped as the male fell from balcony. She was about to pull out her SMG and put the nomad down but he was suddenly torn apart by the brightly coloured fire from the mini-gun held by her other ally. She sighed with relief returning her attention to the fight.

Tanya helped provide covering fire so Midnight could reach Sikira. The Bandits numbers had dwindled down and some were attempting to escape, most of which was met by Praxis and his teeth. But before they could consider the battle won a hysteric laugh could be across town.

"That doesn't sound friendly." Tanya said looking in the direction of the noise. It didn't take long for the source of the laughing to make it know. "Badass Psycho, and it looks like he brought friends." Tanya announced as psychopaths began funneling into the square.

Sikira got up slowly after the barrage of colorful rainbow like death. He looked up at midnight as she told him to get up and walk it off. He simply grunted and stood just before the door burst open and a medium sized bandit charged her with explosives primed in his hands.

Sikira's eyes shrank as he found that he was gonna get too close for comfort and pushed himself between the two. He punched the goon in the mask with a hard right hand punch just before grabbing him and lifting him over his head and throwing him back inside where he exploded, blowing the door open and wafting smoke.

He turned, examining the situation around them. He watched as the beetle creature tore foes asunder.

" remind me not to make Tanya angry." He said. He brought out his Hyperion shotgun. Cocking it and running forward to engage the enemy.

He shot here and there. Knocking foes out of the way and jumping off a dumpster to the roof of a shack. He preferred to fight from the high ground.

Midnight looked down as Sikira finally dragged himself up, about to turn her back before hearing something running behind her, glancing over her should before spotting the explosive in his hand. Time slowed down for her as it dawned on her she wouldn't be able to turn around in time, plus at that range, her shields couldn't take that sort of damage. She was trying to come up with a reaction right at Sikira did, throwing the suicider away from her.

"Even..." she says before hearing the laughter and turning towards the group of Psycho's that had arrived. She took a review of their numbers, her numbers and fighting strength.

"We've won...Tanya, move over to the right, use the crab to clear out the building and flank the rest. Sikira, focus your fire onto the badass and any ones close to him....the remainers are my test subjects..." she said systematically, assuming 'command' for the moment. Her mind was cold, calculated and in it, she forsaw their easy and clean victory. Raising her minigun, she pressed a button, swapping the firing system from 13 to 1, which was the simpliest of her guns systems.

"Firing system 1 active, all ammo types active....preparing to dispatch test subjects..." she says before pulling the trigger, her minigun spinning up another time as a red light starts to flash on her Echo as she realized it would be for the final time this fight, before her weapon overheated and then issues would happen. That's when it happened, her gun unleased its unrelenting fury upon the smaller Psycho's, and she watched with fascination as they were torn apart before her.

Tanya giggled before pulling out a package of wrapped fish. "you got it." She said with a smile. "Praxy! Jenga!" She called out pointing at the building, grenade still in her hand. She watched as ground under the building midnight spoke of became unstable. Before long the small building was swallowed whole by the sand. "Good boy!" Tanya said throwing a fish into air only for it to be caught in midair. Praxis ate the treat quickly before burrowing back into the ground.

Tanya smiled then swapped her weapons for her Vladof sniper. "I don't know why vladof have to make all their guns fully aromatic, but their snipers get things done." She spontaneously commented about rate of fire of the weapon company.

Sikira fired his shot gun into a few more bandits. Firing in full auto shotgun mode as he downed bandit after bandit. His shield took some shots. His shield rippling.

The heavy turned when he was ordered to attack the badass down below with his minions. He held up his echo and clocked into his Motar. He found the mortar was empty. He tapped a few buttons and set parameters to make it load a hydrogen blast bomb. It didn't have the payload to level a town but could cause a lot of damage to one target.

"Okie dokie! Loading shell!" The little girl voice chirped in his echo.

He turned and kicked back a psycho, one that thought he could swing his axe at him when he wasn't looking. Pulling the trigger on his gun and blasting him off the building.

"Loaded!" The voice chirped.

Sikira turned and activated a Lazer on his gauntlet. Shining it on the big boss. "Locked on!" He called to his team.

It was then he saw in awe the work of Praxy! Who made a whole building collapse and sink! The aspect that that thing could do that put him in unease.

"Brace!" He called as he fired the mortar remotely and the shell screamed up into the air.

The badass laughed and fired at Sikira. Tearing his shield with a barrage of gunfire. Sikira gasped and fell back a bit. It wouldn't matter soon.

The mortar came down and hit. The blast blinding many and making the air hot as a cloud of smoke flew everywhere. Fire burning foes nearby and leaving a glorious burning crater in the blast radius.

"Mortar power cell depleted! Powering down!" The girl chirped.

The mortar shut down and deconstructed.

Sikira stood. "I love the smell of slag burn in the morning!"

Midnight kept the trigger pulled until the majority of Psycho's had fallen, right as her minigun had stopped firing, panels opening up on the side and exhausts pump out. The girl frowned as it did, placing the weapon on the ground and ignoring the remains of the gunfire, which wasn't much. Bringing up her echo, she started cooling the weapon off from it's overheating process, common for her weapon since of its high fire rate and unique design.

She glanced up to watch the building be consumed, raising an eyebrow, before returning her entire focus on her own weapon. She needed to fix the exhaust system so she could place it away and keep fighting after it overheated...

Tanya watched as Sikira brought an explosive rain, smiling as the shells hit the ground blowing up the badass showering the area in his blood. "My, what a lovely painting." She commented

She turned her attention to Midnight who apparently was trying to cool off her weapon. But what really caught her eye was the psychopaths she had dispatched with her massive weapon. They were being dissolved by acid, burnt to a crisp, electrocuted, frozen, slagged and/or blown to pieces. "I've never seen an ice sculpture be lit on fire!"

As the fight seemed to die down Praxis was becoming noticeably exhausted. Tanya took a look at her companion then inspected their enemies. They were few in number and could probably be taken care of without the aid of the crab worm. "Ok Praxy, get some rest we can handle it from here." Tanya commanded.

Sikira landed on the ground and walked to the stragglers. Firing at them here and there till they retreated. He sighed and lowered his Hyperion shotgun. He turned and gave a thumbs up to his team.

Midnight continues fidgeting with her gun, until finally after many minutes, it shrunk down, still emoting the fumes, but much less now. She looked up and saw a lack of bandits, turning on her Echo.

"Unable to use firing 13 due to an interest in survival, will commence in next engagement if possible. Firing overheat sync failed, once again, will resume search when possible..." she said before turning the device off and turning to her, what were they ,teammates, squad mates, fellow hunters? Possible test subjects? She was unsure and let the words roll through her mind.

Tanya gave a smile to her new comrades, who seemed to be able to handle themselves. She took this moment to begin looking around the square, trying to find some extra rounds on the bandits.

Few minutes had passed and the claptrap had decided to investigate the battle. He peered gingerly around a corner looking around the square, finding only dead bandits and the three Vault Hunters. "Are-are they gone?"
