Roleplay Type: World of Equestria
Name: Archon Knight
Sex: Female
Age: Mare
Species: Earth Pony
Eye colour: Forest Green
Coat: A deep, rich chestnut
Mane/Tail: Archon's ebony mane and tail are naturally wavy, and left long. She often tucks her mane to one side and loosely ties it, usually resulting in her right eye being obscured behind a curtain of luscious black hair if she isn't paying attention.
Physique: Very tall and fit
Residence: Forest of Leota
Occupation: Commander of the Sunsworn
Cutie Mark: An inscribed stone obelisk caressed by green, leafy vines and set against a small halo of light.

She earned her mark after discovering a previously-untouched ancient cavern, having used her archaeological skills to locate the chamber. It was a culmination of her hobbies and wanderlust that led her to the inscribed obelisk within, and the cutie mark appeared as she deciphered the symbols hewn into the giant stone. Though she's told no pony about what she found, her mark closely resembles the obelisk and represents the pinnacle of her natural abilities- curiosity about the world, love of nature, and her skill in unearthing lost culture.

Unique Traits: To make up for her lack of more active magic, such as weather control or spells, Archon has honed her connection to the land itself into its own power of note. The same ability that allows her fellow earth ponies to grow crops and till the earth has been strengthened to serve as a wellspring of stamina for the mare. It is very rare that she will even seem winded, much less tired, even after physical exertion. She is also one of two known users of hardlight equipment, the other being her lieutenant, Solace.

History: Born in the Gallopocus Islands, Archon Knight was named in hopes that she would be a forerunner of inspiration for those around her. Ever a joyful filly, she would spend her free time prancing on the beach, building sand castles, or exploring nature. She adored nature. Such was her enthusiasm for life that her teachers often had trouble focusing her attention. It wasn't that she was trying to be an issue, simply that her curiosity didn't have an off-switch. Once for two months she became obsessed with spotting a sea serpent, and sat on the beach until sundown each day, staring into the waves. One could always find where she had been the previous night, as various drawings and sand castles would be scribbled around where Archon had sat. Though none of her classmates believed her, she was eventually rewarded by spying the creature she sought. Then it was back to her usual antics.

As she grew, the experience of spying such a fantastical creature as a sea serpent fueled her belief that the world was a grand and vibrant place, full of mysteries and fantastical things. She became interested in archaeology and anthropology, and studied it with the same fervor that fueled her younger self's exploratory expeditions into wherever. She became so adept at canvassing sites for overlooked items that she began searching for undiscovered areas lost to her home's history. Eventually she came across a thin split in the face of a cliff, and managed to squeeze her way into a damp limestone cavern that wound its way far into the earth.

Something told Archon Knight that this was important, something she had been searching for without even knowing. She didn't know how she was so sure, but the feeling was irrefutable. Lighting a torch, she continued inside. After what seemed like forever the claustrophobic passage opened into a cavernous chamber, moonlight filtering in from far above. Various relics were strewn across the stone floor, statues dotted the reaches of the chamber, but her attention was drawn completely by a monolithic obelisk that dominated the center of the area. She spent hours studying it, taking notes, examining every angle.

When she finally returned the next day amid cries of relief and stern threats about disappearing to Celestia knows where, the earth pony didn't share her discovery with anyone. When asked about the cutie mark that most definitely hadn't adorned her flanks before, she shrugged and answered that it must have appeared when she was absorbed in her archaeology work (to be fair, this was an accurate, if vague, response). Knowing her well enough that they would never quite get a straight answer from their daughter, her parents settled for being relieved that she had come back unharmed.

Not but a month later, Archon Knight had informed her parents that she wanted to see more of Equestria and the treasures it held. She wasn't going to discover the great mysteries of life roaming the Gallopocus Islands forevermore. Having resigned to the fact that this day had long been coming, they agreed. The young mare couldn't be contained to just one area, not with her wanderlust. With her parents' blessing, the pony set off on a long journey.

In what seemed a strange turn of events, she returned to public notice years later, now a mare in her prime. She headed an organization of her own creation, the Sunsworn, devoted entirely to the Princess of the Sun and the well-being of Equestria. Her statuesque figure cut an impressive sight beneath her glittering breastplate and trailing cloak, though her signature smile was still firmly in place. Some whispered that she'd trained with various cultures around the world in all sorts of languages, martial prowess, and local artistry. Others claimed she had found some amazing, long-lost prophecy. And still more scoffed that she'd simply gone nuts and was parading around for the fun of it. Archon Knight denied none of these claims. Her Sunsworn, however, did prove themselves to be devoted to their cause: from rebuilding towns ravaged by unfortunate disaster to helping to escort those in need and everything in between, the ponies of its ranks all seemed to be upstanding citizens themselves.

Now based in the Forest of Leota (or so she claims, her lieutenant Solace complains that she's actually never around and continues to wander), Archon Knight steels herself to pave the way for a utopian Equestria under the rule of Princess Celestia. Luna is alright too, she supposes.

Character Personality: Jovial and benevolent, with genuine empathy for the denizens of Equestria. She wears a perpetual smile, though an occasional mischievous glint in her eye teases that she knows something that no pony else does. Whether that's actually true has yet to be proven. While she'll offer friendship and courtesy to nearly every creature she meets, beneath the happy surface lies an iron streak of loyalty. Those she calls her friends have a stalwart ally in the earth pony, one who will come to their defense time and again. In fact, true threats to her ideals and those she holds dear are one of the rare methods to actually causing her to take something seriously. She's also prone to bad jokes. Really.
Character Summary: Lady Archon is the very picture of a mare devoted to her cause, though her methodology and seriousness toward the matter might be called into question at times. She hardly seems to take things seriously, often laughing them off and clapping ponies on the shoulder with enough force to nearly bowl them over. She delights in discovering new things, whether they be friends or artifacts or even a joke.

While her personality may not be very imposing or indicative of her status, her physique most definitely is. Towering over most pony-like creatures, some have speculated that she has Saddle Arabian blood in her ancestry. Her constant traveling and training have resulted in honing her body, resulting in a rather imposing figure when she's in full Sunsworn regalia.

Challenges are accepted with enthusiasm, and she rarely finds that she's unable to surmount them. Even in defeat, Archon simply views it as a new hill to climb and will often find a way to do so. She claims to have no favorite food or music, rather that she enjoys them all in their own way. She'll make the same claim about friends, though happy and optimistic creatures often find themselves in her company than those who are withdrawn or reclusive. Life is to be enjoyed, and she likes to surround herself with those who share the mindset.
