Egyptian pharaohs used to drink spoon-fulls of mercury because they thought it was good for them. Granted they are all dead now.....Fun Fact: Mercury was used in the production of hats, when the hat maker would put the hats on the mercury would leak out on to them. Since Mercury had a tendency to make people bonkers, the hatters would go crazy. Hence the term 'Mad as a hatter' I.e The mad hatter form Alice in wonderland. Now line up everypony!
