ShadowMage
I recently acquired a new monitor, 24-ish iches, LCD flat-screen, 1080p. All that good stuff. If you want to check it out, here it is. Turns out it was really damn nice for the price. It came in the mail, I hooked it up and it was beautiful. I decided to run TF2 and see how it looked. Beautiful beyond compare. I started running through some of my favorite games, checking out how they looked, they looked so great, all of them.Just abit ago, I started loading a FiM video on YouTube in 1080p: THIS IS THE GREATEST USE OF MY NEW MONITOR EVER!My question: WHY didn't I think of this SOONER?! ShadowMage
I meant it took me almost a full week before I watch ponies in 1080p. Clearly, the p stands for Pony.
Motion Paradox
Obviously so you'd enjoy the other things! If you started with Ponies everything else just wouldn't have been as great

Armony
Indeed, why didn't you watch 1080 ponies when you got it? Seems pretty silly to me that you'd do anything like play video games when you have that many ponies to watch.
Haserman
Was it so high def that a pony jumped out of the screen?
Xiee
Ah Asus, one of the less appreciated brands. I do know their monitors display gorgeous images and videos. Used a few at work.
ShadowMage
ASUS made my Mother board. And I've been STUPIDLY happy with that, so I'd figured I'd return to try a monitor.
Ginger Mint
hi hiYou're rarely going to get good color reproduction on a Twisted Nematic LCD, which is what most people can afford. Thats why I prefer good old CRTs for doing work ((and also because I can't afford a good In Plane Switching LCD)) its just a shame that CRTs are such power hogs and don't come in widescreen formats.I do have a 1080 monitor, but trying to watch HD movies makes my ancient video card choke. Maybe someday they'll come out with a DVD box set.
FrankT
That's nice! Er... I think my machine is able to handle 1080p films. Been a while since I looked though. Trouble is it's not in widescreen!
Parker_Izing
Twisted neumatic? Much ages I don't hear that term, since the '80 at least. They really use that now? are TFT and TN the same ballgame? BTW I got IPS on my laptop, I'l try to watch ponies there and give to it some use. (Right now collecting dust)
notdeathsongx3
Although my computer and monitor can handle 1080p, I'd rather not as my connection is horrible.Cough* Maximum Speed: 450kb/sAnyway, Congratz on your new monitor! FlameLoneWolf
I know what you mean, Deathsongx3. My desktop is a load of crap. It has a terrible memory. Can't fit much without it starting to lag so I have to delete stuff a LOT. Even when doing that, it's STILL slow. Luckily I'm getting a new laptop soon. Although, my last Gateway laptop, was terrible. Every time I moved it just a little, it would turn off! >
