Teleporting, but going nowhere? (Or did we...?)

Dark Bolt tosses this question in his head. "Hmm... Well, I definitely wasn't TRYING to go to the same time as you guys. But you probably met up by accident, through the power of fate." After saying that, he laughs at the idea.

dusk frowned 'Fate... or design...' he thought to himself. It was clear he didnt trust this pony, of course Bolt *had* just insulted the two Princess who dusk was rather close friends with so that surely didnt sit well. However, the unicorn was also well-aware of how dangerous the situation was, them being so far in the past, not only could any trouble go forever undetected, but on the other end of the scale the slightest change could have catastrophic effects on the present. For now his best bet was to keep his eyes on the newcomer... Besides, this alicorn had clearly over-specialized his runes, siming for certain spells, while Dusk had primordial runes that harnessed raw elements and were much more flexible, as long as his life held out he could probably defeat the alicorn in a fight, provided he first exhausted his foe's magic...

The purple pony managed to smile "sorry" he said "we're a little jumpy" he explained "we just came from the Earth Pony camp and as you can guess, they were all eager to lop off out horns" he explained "I'm Dusk Shine, and this is my Assistant Barb"

Barb didnt seem to be thinking kind thoughts as she suspiciously watched Bolt, but then barb didnt seem to trust anyone easily, it was a wonder she even trusted dusk! She noded though as expected, but said nothing

"History seems to have changed from what's in the books" continued Dusk "So we're here to put it back on track" he explained, purposefully making it sound more like they were some form of royal 'time cop' group instead of simply being random strangers who stumbled on a historical anomaly...
