but most of the hair is tied back with white ties. Taiko has bangs on her head that come diagonally down her face but they do not cover her eyes. The bangs are on the right side of her face except for one long strip on her left side. He tail is tied back with white ties and is kept short enough that it doesn't touch the ground.

A chudaiko with taiko bachi crossing a director's baton behind the chudaiko.

Physique:
Taiko is a slim pony. There are some muscles on her shoulders and hind legs but overall she is quite thin and average height.

Manehattan

Occupation:
Street Performer - soon to be traveling street performer

Motivation:
Taiko has always loved performing any kind of music. She is known for her skills playing taiko related instruments but she has always been open to learning and performing with other instruments. She wants to spread her music everywhere.

Likes:
Music, drums, performing, sweets, showing off, flying (occasionally).

Dislikes:
Mean and rude ponies, healthy food, being too hot or too cold and spiders (spiders are scary).

Character Summary:
Taiko was born to a light pink unicorn mother, Dream Fairy and pale green pegasus father, Capriccio. Her father was from Cloudsdale but left to come to Manehattan to perform his music. Her mother has always been in Manehattan. She was in the upper class of society and ended up leaving to be with Taiko's father. Taiko is the youngest of four ponies. She has two older brothers, and one older sister. Her brothers are Grandioso (a muscular red unicorn) and Gamelan (an average green pegasus), and her sister is Sonata Fairy (a fair white unicorn). The girls of the family kept the Fairy in their name where they left it off for the boys.

Taiko was introduced to music when she was just a foal. Her first instrument was a chudaiko. Since then she has always loved drumming. She started performing with her sibling and father as she grew older, most of the time she was just dancing or flying in the front which made other ponies call her adorable. When she became a filly, Grandioso left to start his own traveling group with his friends so Taiko took over and played in the group.

Before she joined her father's music group, she was a blank flank. It was mainly because she wasn't able to figure out what her talent was. She knew she was good at music but she wasn't sure at what instrument. Grandioso had a large music note as his mark, Gamelan had a Metallphone with a hammer for playing it at his and Sonata Fairy had a flute for hers. The pony, not being very brilliant, tried to do everything her sibling had done before her to get a cutie mark but none worked. It wasn't until a performance was over that she just took her frustration out on a chudaiko. She played for a five minutes without realizing other ponies were there. When she noticed she kept playing and just jammed the whole time, while she was playing her cutie mark appeared. Her father soon joined in on his djembe drum and the both of them jammed, with Taiko leading. Once she finished, and went home, that was when Taiko noticed that she had her cutie mark. She was the last to notice it too.

Besides being stubborn and unobservant, Taiko can be quite goofy. Most of the silliness is from her sweet tooth. Even though she loved her sweets, her parents have made sure that wasn't all she ate. They also made sure that she exercised regularly. Both older ponies knew that Taiko was physically taxing so they did their best to keep their youngest daughter in tip top shape. It still doesn't stop her from eating all the junk food she can. Since she is a pegasus, she usually flies all over the house as fast as she can when she has sweets so that her mother can't catch her. Unfortunately her mother has some magic skills and always catches the filly.

Taiko can be a show off. Most of the times she knows when to stop showing off, but there are a few times when she doesn't stop. She is also occasionally loud, obnoxious and over confident in her abilities. She started noticing those qualities about herself in the last few years. Sometimes she tones down her negative qualities but most of the time she doesn't care. If some pony doesn't like her for her flaws, then that is their problem, not hers. Many times she can be seen flying flying and playing a djembe while flying. Most of the times when drumming. she plays with her hooves, but she has been able to tie drum sticks with her hooves to make her playing better and more accurate. She may be small but her form while playing Taiko is good enough so that she can still make an incredibly loud sound (for a pony her size).

Now she is the main drummer for her family music group but she is preparing to leave Manehattan when she becomes a mare to become a travelling musician. The older filly has been known to wear a blue and white Hapi coat and a black Hachimaki on a daily basis.

(On a side note, the image is not including the Hapi Coat and Hachimaki. Once Finals are over I will make a more updated version of Taiko Fairy. Also her bangs are not exactly how I wanted them but the update will come after Finals week)
