Barging through the door with force and grace stands a pony of gold and blonde. The mane, a soft wheat borne blond, with a thin contour of muscle down his legs, and a cutiemark resembling a thin parcel map with an "X" emblazoned in red.

Greetings! If I do recall, I ensured to have a place of stay in this fine permanently upper class stable. Tell me, where is the head of this fine urbane palace, so I can remember that I reserved a lease here for myself, the most majestic darer of do, Swash the Buckle!

I gaze around looking for and expecting an awestruck look of glory from the staff and any given occupants.

Sadly, Swash is unaware that, aside from staff, he is the first occupant of this building.

"Ah, good afternoon Swash. I've been awaiting. I checked the registry, and I think we have found the perfect room for you. Room A114 was done up in classic pirate fashion. But first, Thyme has made an authentic pirate meal. Would you like some? It's on the house."

Snowy snaps up from her slumber and looks around a bit panic Uh-oh...I over slept! After a quick shower and brushing her teeth, Snowy zooms out the room and flies down the stairs instead of walking. She slows down and lands behind the front desk.

Ah, how adventurous an idea, I'm charmed. Brings back memories of the old voyage with the E.S.S. Discovery for the Lost treasure of Rangu...where was I, Ah Yes!

I'll gladly partake in your Salty Dog cuisine. But first, I must ask you a most important question.

As you know, i am a man of sport, of adventure, and of learning. I would like to know what your policy is concerning the following, to make sure I do not cross your hospitality.

I hand you a list containing various items, including, show Cannons, ancient tablets, Armor, Model ships, Dingys, Buoys, Oars, Boars, and Coarse Manticore rugs.

A true gentleman savors the past and plans for the future, and these represent a dash of both.

"Oh, hey Snowy! We've got somepony here who is looking to rent. While I give him the grand tour, would you mind getting the paperwork set? He is using room A114, we believe. Would that be alright, ro do you wish to actually see the room first, Swash?"

"Ah, well, room A114 was designed by our best and brightest, naturally the decor of your room is of your own regard, and so far as cannons, only room A114 has reinforced walls strong enough that you would be allowed to fire such a thing. Animal policy is that dangerous animals be kept away from others, and so far as boats, you may decorate, but we currently have no route to the water, so they are not of much use."

Grey prepares to lead Swash to the dining area for a meal, calling up Thyme to make sure that a meal is prepared for Swash.

Thank you for gracious hosting, and don't worry, I wouldn't have lived this long without some sense, and I assure you, these Manticore rugs are preskinned and not in the mood for harming guests.

I notice that there is now a female that requires me attention and end my conversation with the host saying

Time for the adventure of paperwork then, and to officially start my next adventure in this fair city.

I walk over the counter and look at the pony behind it, when she returns, I, with the smoothness of apple cherry, ask

Hello, I hear from the manager that you...are the one to help me officially have my new abode, he called you Snowy yes?

Charming young name, and I have heard many fair names I assure you.

I end with a soft twinkle to my eye as my head glides towards the nearest pen to get the paperwork through.

"W-Welcome..and thank you...I..um..have the paperwork for you to fill out..and..you can leave them there when you are finished..." Blushing a bit, Snowy ducks under the desk and comes back up with a couple of papers, setting them in front of him.

Why thank you very much Madame.

I can see why the fine host of the Grey Area set you here, you're dependable, so you have no reason to stutter, or be nervous m'lady.

Say, maybe... you could care to join me for lunch, your chef made a special lunch for my arrival from what I hear, and I'm wondering if you could escort me through the building perhaps afterwards? I'm sure I can trust no one else with such a favor, after enjoying a companions hard work.

I end with a soft smile, and commence filling out the work and wait for a response.

Just add a bit more salt and.... There. Swaff's dish is ready. I believe he's out there now, I think I'll introduce myself.

Thyme walked out of the kitchen, and entered the lobby. She saw two pony's, across desks from each other, signing papers. She walked towards them, and assumed that the stallion was Swash, mainly because his cutie mark made more sense for a pirate pony.

"Good afternoon, Swaff. I am Thyme Turmeric, the chef of... this place. I have prepared a meal for you, fit for the finest sailors. Please, when you feel hungry, stop by. My kitchen will always have a dish prepared for you." Thyme then stopped, waiting for a response, hoping to get to know the pony more.

Cloud finished his work on the burner, "Thanks for the food Thyme, it was excellent." He walked out and saw the new resident. "Ahoy sir," Cloud gave a salute, "my name is Cloud and I guess I'm 'head' of maintenance.

I toss a light look in an instant to Snowy, hinting at an enjoyment for lunch to come.

Your the chef? I am proud to meet a man who'll be preparing me many a meal from here on in, and it smells fantastic Miss Turmeric, I'll head to the kitchen as soon as I can, you'll know when I'm there.

And you go by Cloud? Cloud, given who I am, you and I will very soon come to know each other very well.

I give him a strong, playful nudge with my hoof, and give a short laugh

I shortly after end the last several pages, and hand them daintily to Snowy.

I'll see you as soon as I can Madame, I'll be back here in 10 minutes, and I hope you'll still be here when I come back.

I say softly, quietly, and endearingly.

Sliding seamlessly through the conversation I turn to the help and say, without skipping a beat and picking up volume,

And when I do come back, I'll be glad to share in some of Thymes fine food, and make some good friends soon after.

With that I toss a quick look back at Snowy, and walk out to my Cart so I can unload some of my gear to my room. A days work is never done.

Thyme giggled at Cloud's comment. "In his defense, he called me 'miss' after. I better go to the kitchen and wait for him. See you two later!" Thyme said, as she trotted off to her kitchen.

"Good," Cloud said. "I was asking the boss about maybe hiring someone taking care of that kind of thing but it looks like I was just being paranoid." He smiled, "well I'll go check to see if anything needs fixing."

I walk away to my cart and begin to lug out the largest thing, starting with my cannon, and hoist it on my shoulders and march up, it's brilliant black hue and ammo stored in a nice burlap sack to my side. Slowly, I walk around searching for room "A114", and begin lugging my things, and as I strain at the door, I notice I am lacking a key.

Inner Monologue:

Oh dear, how unfortunate, I guess I have another adventure to commence with

Where can I go to gain a key to my room

I ask to the room simply.

Realizing Swash's swift exit, Grey looks to Snowy, then to Thyme, and finally to Cloud, in a state of seeming confusion. He looks back to Snowy and says, "Hrmm. Seems somepony is in a rush. Uh, he does know the keys are locked up in back, right? I think he is gonna find it rather difficult to get in without it."
