Character Summary:

The entity of Imagination was spawned, quite simply, by the presence of creative thought. He has existed for many years, an unseen hand in all creative thought including practical application or ideas, inventions, and various forms of entertainment. Imagination also deals with dreams, both good and bad, keeping them stable for each individual. Obviously, a lot of work for one being. With the number of living things, and therefore the number of active minds, increasing, Imagination knew that he would need to find a wait to efficiently maintain this massive amount of stimuli. And so, he created the residents of Imaginationland. Working under his rule, each resident was assigned to various tasks in order to keep ideas and dreams flowing smoothly through the minds of those who need them (it is suggested that mental instability is caused by residents 'napping on the job', though this has yet to be proved). The residents were able to interact and reproduce as any other living being in the physical world, though they never needed for anything. Hunger or poverty was not an issue, as they were able to 'grow' their own food, and shelter was always provided by the will of Imagination.

The realm grew massive as time went on, and with quite the history of its own in terms of having to survive. Dark, evil thoughts and dreams once in awhile wreaked havoc in Imaginationland during times of war in the physical world, and so Imagination conscripted the 1337th Regiment: Imaginationland's Commando Elite. Not perfect soldiers, but rather creative thinkers able to adapt to combat scenarios in ways others never could. These forces have been able to repel anything that could break free from the cognitive holds, as well as give the residents the satisfaction of knowing they weren't entirely defenseless.

In recent times, however, Imagination's Dreamweavers have informed him of an alternate dimension... One quite similar to Imaginationland. Upon further inspection, it appeared that there was indeed another realm spawned from a creative idea... Though here madness and chaos reigned. At first it was no concern to Imagination, but he was then informed that a couple of the beings present in this 'Realm of Madness' could possibly be powerful enough to open a portal into Imaginationland, if they so wished. Should Madness overcome them, it would destabilize any and all thought anyone would ever have forever, and everyone would be naturally mad, causing global chaos, destruction, and eventually extinction of all living things.

A preemptive strike was called for by the ruler of Imaginationland... Why?

"Sounds like they're having fun down there"

Imagination, in the physical world, cannot be seen or heard by any living creature... Or any dead ones for that matter, nor can he interact with them in any way, unless it is through their creative process.

1337th Commando Elite

Purpose:

The Commando Elite was formed to defend Imaginationland from rogue dreams and ideas considered a hazard to its residents. They operate in every corner of Imaginationland, which has grown to be a vast space indeed. There are 5 different divisions of the 'regiment', though in terms of actual numbers they far exceed your standard Regiment.

Differences:

Though the soldiers of Imaginationland are indeed ponies in appearance, they are bipedal in nature, always walking on their rear hooves and carrying weaponry as any other biped would, most weapons being made to be operated without fingers.

Divisions:

Ordinem Pedum: Infantry

Ordinem Aqua: Naval Assets

Ordinem Caelum: Aerial Assets

Ordinem Mors: Covert Operations

Ordinem Somnium: Dreamweavers

Each division has several different specialty units available for use, which will be listed below in short detail:

Ordinem Pedum

Peditatus: Basic infantry. Armed with beam staffs (rifles) and 'dream grenades'. Dream grenades are low-impact explosives that disorient a target to instant incapacitation, their minds being overwhelmed with random thoughts and images that knock them into unconsciousness, where the assault continues for no longer than two minutes. The migraines that result still keep afflicted units combat ineffective for another few minutes. These units are heavily trained in order to combat vastly powerful threats to Imaginationland, each one matching the combat effectiveness of 10 soldiers in the physical world. Basic infantry are marked by orange berets.

Grave: Heavy Infantry. The only unit to move on all fours, they are armed with massive 'shard paks' that take the form of twin miniguns, firing magic crystal shards at 500 rounds per minute. They are slow, and usually supported by two basic infantry in a fireteam formation. These heavy hitters can soak up some serious damage before being brought down, however they are few in number, as the physical prerequisites to be a Heavy are very very strict. Heavies are marked by orange berets with black tiger stripes.

Salutem: Medics. Non-combat units, however they are trained to run in and out of dangerous situations quicker than anyone could believe. They are extremely quick, and just as quick witted, able to adapt to medical situations under the stress of combat. They are the fastest units in the Regiment, often described as having 'super speed'. Medics are marked by white berets with a red cross cap device.

Ordinem Aqua

Galeae: The ships of the fleet. Every ship is the same in appearance, though there are slight difference to to tell which ones serve certain purposes. Some ships handle communications, some handle medical tasks, some house high-ranking officers, and some handle coastal bombardment.

Nauta: Basic sailors. Trained to man various equipment on the ships. Rubbish in a fight by themselves, though excellent at maintaining ships and making use of the weaponry. Sailors are marked by sailors caps.

Caetus: Naval Commandos. Elite units used for amphibious operations, usually dispatched at night. Excellent swimmers and have some elemental magic ability with water. Excellent shock-troops or good for flanking an unsuspecting coastal force. They are armed with beam staffs, dream grenades, and candy batons. Yes, candy batons. Naval Commandos are marked by indigo berets.

Ordinem Caelum

Aquila: Air scouts. Honed perception allows them to spot enemy activity on the ground from great distances. Second fasted unit in the Regiment, they are able to report back to supporting infantry or special operations within minutes. They are also capable of maintaining air superiority, launching quick strikes against enemy air units. Scouts are marked by sky blue berets.

Accipitrem: Air Strikers. Combat air units specifically trained to either bombard ground units, or engage air units. Armed with light shard paks, they can make strafing runs against the ground, or do significant damage to anything in their aerial path. Strikers are marked with sky blue berets with gold tiger stripes.

Ordinem Mors

Homicidium: Elite Commandos. Also known as 'Basilisks'. The best of the best, in terms of unspecialized covert operations. Masters of stealth and infiltration, they can operate as moles, insurgents, thieves, or assassins. Often the tip of the spear for Imagination's forces, as they gather initial intelligence and perform crippling sabotage operations. They are armed with beam staffs, dream grenades, void grenades, candy batons, and scramblers. Void grenades are used against heavy units or vehicals, forming a small black hole for a total of ten seconds. However these grenades are indiscriminate, as they harm both friend and foe, and are usually only used by desperate commandos looking to have the last laugh as their final breath. Scramblers are jamming devices, simply used for disrupting communications during ambushes. Elite Commandos are marked by black helmets and masks, the masks containing six glowing red eyes.

Musica: Psychic Infantry. Literally, using the power of rock n roll to decimate enemy forces. These musicians are deadly with their weapons. Guitars being able to stun all in hearing range during bridges, bass guitars being able to throw foes great distances with powerful area of effect attacks, drums able to cause seismic movement, and much, much more. Be careful the next time you go to a rock concert.

Humor: Comedic infantry. Only there's nothing funny about them. Explosive experts with a sick sense of humor, often used for 'terror tactics' against a larger force. Nothing can be more frightening than seeing a man armed to the teeth with dynamite, charging towrd you and giggling like a maniac. Comedic infantry are marked by sinister clown masks and red berets.

Spirtitum: Ghost infantry. Masters of stealth, able to vanish and reappear at will, thanks to ghost paks that give them their ability to cloak. Ghost infantry never uses ranged weaponry, however, always charging in for melee attacks with axes and knives. Ghosts are marked by their distinctive metal paks on their back and chest, as well as metal skull masks over their faces.

Ordinem Somnium

Dreamweavers are very special magical units, capable of warping reality to their whims. They are Imagination's personal guard, and for good reason. These mages can cause instant, widespread terror by making nightmares come to life, or win hearts and minds by making even the wildest dreams come true. They can bend reality against the enemy, destroying them in both mind and body. Dreamweavers wear dark purple robes, their faces covered by white cloth masks.
