  1. Serenity eyed the stage warily from her spot a few hundred yards out from it. She'd been enjoying a small meal and a cup of tea when they started building it and they were nearly finished with it now. Intrigued, the peryton considered venturing down to see what was going on. As it got later and more ponies crowded around the stage, Serenity decided she might as well see what was up. With so many ponies around, they'd hardly notice a winged deer wondering around, and her antlers would be hidden anyway. Quickly raising a hoof to doublecheck that her puff of mane was hiding her antlers, she packed up her supplies once more and wondered toward the stage. Coming up from behind it, she was in the perfect spot to see a particularly worried-looking red unicorn pacing back and forth. The doe tilted her head to one side and wandered up to Blaze Bright. "Hullo!" she said, easing out a little of her peryton magic to calm the mare. "You seem rather worried... What's wrong?"
  2. Storm Medley dashed out of the storm, wings ablur and lightning crackling off her body back into the stormclouds. No, no, no, no, no! she raged in her mind. I can't have lost control, IT'S MY STORM. She veered up and around, looped the loop, and flew back into the storm upside down. She felt the raindrops whip around her as she flew through the black clouds to the center of the storm and struggled to regain control of what she'd started. She couldn't remember having started a storm so big since she first got her cutie mark. Slowly the storm dwindled back down to a manageable size, something that would be safe to be in. Oddly, though, Stormy zigged when she should have zagged, and was tossed back out of the storm after having been hit by a lightning bolt. She landed next to Gale and shook her head, wiggling her hooves about as she tried to regain her wits. Opening her eyes once more, she looked up to see her cousin. "Oh. Hi, Gale!" Stormy's voice broke as she spoke and struggled back up onto her feet. "Funny I should run into you. I was actually just looking for you! Iiiiiii... don't remember why. But it involved food and planning a surprise party for my dad and... I don't remember what else. I just realized I have terrible memory."
  3. Serenity fluttered her wings and trotted just barely ahead of the smallish colt she'd just obtained as her helper. "Sorry about that!" she giggled. "I just ran into a bit of a pickle and I needed a bit of help. You're just the right size to help me~!" Her voice sang a little as she trotted along, ducking beneath low branches and dancing between trees, spreading her wings occasionally to help keep her balance on the rocky path. She paused momentarily and looked up at the trees above her. After a second she started off to the right, having remembered where she was, and where she wanted to be. "My name's Serenity, by the way! What's yours?" Her eyes twinkled as she looked back at the earth pony behind her.
  4. Serenity danced on her hooves for a second as her mind raced. What to do, what to dooooo, she thought. Something suddenly clicked in her head, but she kept dancing on her hooves, feigning impatience. "What?" she said, letting go of Reno's tail and letting her calming powers ease out of her nubby antlers a little at a time. "No, you don't understand. He's my little brother. I need his help. Come on, let's goooo." Continuing her facade of impatience, she flapped her useless little wings quickly as she spoke. With that she made a grab for Reno's tail again, noting that by now the group of foals should be rather calmer than they were when she first glided in.
  5. Serenity, having just recently left her home, found herself in the Everfree Forest. Her saddlebags full of dried herbs and her head full of hopes, she wandered between the trees. Fluttering her wings to keep her balance over rocks and tree roots, the peryton soon found herself at the edge of a sharp drop. Hearing the voices of ponyfolk below her, she cautiously peered down to see a hoof-full of foals preparing to enter the forest. An idea formed quickly in her head, then, and, impulsively, she decided to act on it. Quick as a whip, she mussed the fluff on her head to hide her nubby little antlers so she'd look just like any other pegasus filly, then leapt off the edge of the hill-cliff and spread her wings to glide down to the group of foals. "You there!" she said, trotting towards Reno GoLucky and tucking her wings back in. "I've been looking everywhere for you! I need your help!" And with that she prepared to grab his tail and drag him away.
  6. Ghost Girl comes from my first Call of Cthulhu RP. Our DM didn't know my name because his girlfriend didn't think to introduce us (she's an old friend of mine), and he could never remember it, even after he learned it, so he started calling me Ghost Girl. That was like... two years ago. To this day I am still Ghost Girl.
  7. Oh definitely. If I'd managed to convince my brother to teach me to play Magic instead of settling for letting him pawn his Pokemon cards off on me, Pokemon would've sucked. X'D
  8. Actually, now I kinda one make one of those myself and wear it to my local anime convention this summer. X'D I have enough cards and I've made a duct tape dress before, so I can do basically the same thing. Bear in mind, "when I played regularly" means when I was, like, 7 or 8. I haven't played that game in close to 10 years. Now all I play is Magic.
  9. I've got a few thousand Pokemon cards here myself. I've got, like, one friend that still plays, so I might just set aside my deck and use the rest for something else. I could make a pretty penny off some of these cards if I put up the effort to do so. Probably the prettiest penny could be made off of my deck, but I'm not so willing to sell it. It was tons of fun when I played regularly. I was the bomb. Nobody could beat me.
  10. QUICK, SOMEBODY! Get the duct tape and chewing gum and paper clips! We must fix her!
  11. Oof. I suppose I did put that a bit ambiguously, didn't I? Fixing it now, and I think I'll go ahead and mark this final.
  12. That, Bramble, is a very good question. One which I'm not sure how to answer. I'm thinking either they may have been the rambling types who only wanted to settle down as long as necessary for Serenity. Given, however, it's not totally necessary knowledge for her character WHY they left, just THAT they left... I decided not to put a specific reason. Because I don't know. o-o;
  13. If she seems "emo" it's likely only in that she bottles up what she views to be her negative emotions... She's a rather cheery individual, to be honest... Hmmm...
  14. Can do, and I've added more to her summary, I'm just not sure if I have enough to switch her to Final yet...
  15. Oop! Sorry. I am working on her, just have a little trouble with her summary.
  16. I totally started that discussion about what movies we'd take to Pluto! ='D Oh, and on a properly related note: Yes.
  17. Roleplay Type: Mane Name: Serenity Sex: Female Age: Doe Species: Peryton Eye Color: Light blue Coat Color: White Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Unlike ponies, Peryton does have only the tiniest bit of mane. Serenity's is a very light gray blue, and she wears a light blue headband (the same color as her eyes) in it. She also has tiny, stubby, nubby antlers that can't even really be called antlers. Her tail, of course, is the typical peryton tail, and matches her white coat. Physique: Being a peryton, Serenity is already smaller than any given mare, not to mention she's smaller and slighter than most peryton does! Origin/Residence: Whitetail Woods Occupation: Healer, forager of herbs and berries and whathaveyou, and occasional midwife. Likes: Soft music like bells and reed flutes. Blackberries (her favorite berries, even though they stain her coat when she eats them) A good Whathaveyou Soup! (Yes, whathaveyou IS a technical term! It includes mushrooms and berries and herbs.) Fall colors, and walking down a path with falling autumn leaves. Curling up with a hot tea and a blanket in the winter. Making up words Dislikes: Fire and, consequently, smoke Humid weather Onions Heights Character Summary: Serenity has lived her whole life in the Whitetail Woods. She was born and raised there, and when she was grown and able to care for herself, her parents left and she made her home there. She spent the majority of her childhood learning about plants and the like. Due to this she has a nearly exhaustive knowledge of herbs and their healing properties. The few other perytons that have met her have never known her to be anything other than cheery, though calm and soft, and the last thing they'd call her is meek or scared or unsure of herself. She's decidededly confident in her own coat. She's never been known to panic about anything, and she's always been the first to step up and try to solve a crisis situation, like a sudden fire in the woods or an unexpected storm. Despite how confident she is, she's never left Whitetail Wood, a problem she intends to rectify soon. She's learned all she can in her home and it's time for her to leave if she wants to gather new herbs and learn about new medicines... and meeting some new ponies wouldn't hurt either. When she first came to the realize that her mental growth would be stunted if she didn't leave home, she had the closest thing to a panic attack she'd ever had before. She sat down in her home with a cup of tea and she cried softly into her pillow. The next morning she packed up everything she figured she really needed for travelling into her saddlebags, like her cup and a small pot for cooking her soup and boiling water, and of course herbs and berries from home, and off she went. Despite her confidence, though, or perhaps because of it, Serenity has a tendency to bottle things up when events take a turn for the worse. She rarely confides in anyone except maybe the occasional potted herb in her home or bird in a berry tree outside her house. Occasionally she'll have a "chat" with a turtle on the bank of the little spring outside her door while she fills a bucket of water, but she can't recall ever having spoken to another on a deeply personal level.
  18. I'll be skipping on the episodes 1-3 in 3d, but I'm itchin' to go to Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope on opening night. My boyfriend and I are planning to make fantastic night of that. It'll be great!
  19. Quick note, he seems a tad on the very short side, and his front legs are too far up on his chest, it seems. Lengthen his neck, move his shoulders back and down a touch... Also, lengthen his body and move his back legs back a ways. He looks to have the body of a foal with the head of a stallion. Short and stubby and not really able to carry the weight of his head. Also, I wouldn't worry terribly about smoothing the lines until you've got the anatomy of the pony down pat. Do some more sketches, figure it out, decide whether you wanna stay with the show's style or make your own style with the ponies, look at other people's art. Always a good idea to look at others' art. And don't forget, it's never a bad idea to use references. Even tracing is okay when you're just starting out, if you want to go for that exact style. Tracing helps you learn the lines better. Just don't rely on it. Overall, WONDERFUL for a starting point! Good luck! =D
