1. After everypony was ready, they didn't wait for any kind of order. They all knew where to go. Well, except Sprite, but they knew she could just follow along. Pops was just happy to be out there, thinking about how awesome breakfast was going to be! "Oh this is gonna be awesome, Sprite! Have you ever had a Gecko egg Omelette? Soooo good~!" Yes, Pop's mannerisms did make some ponies nervous at times, especially when something serious needed to get done. But she had always proven to be efficient and was able to do her job well regardless. They kept on walking down the road, doing their best to stay out of the open. They hid behind dunes as they walked, stayed in whatever shade was offered, just whatever would hide them from sight of the road. That was the last place anypony really wanted to be. Up on the hot, cracked tar, no cover whatsoever. The nest seemed to be farther away than Sprite had probably hoped. Exactly where were they going?
2. Guess we'll have to continue. I'll see what's up in the meantime.
3. I'm thinking that's what it's most likely going to have to come down to. I'll figure something out before the weekend is up.
4. I would rather not have someone playing two staff positions... That and so far we have three staff members to one recruit. A working ratio should be the other way around xD
5. I don't see why not, seeing as the medic will likely have little screen time. I would prefer to get more recruits! And until the RP starts, I'm going to be going off of a 'referral program' bonus. Get two other characters to sign up, get promoted to PFC during training!
6. Million Billion. But no, five or six seasons and a movie. Maybe two, depending on how well the first one is received.
7. Sure! Though to forewarn you the Medic on staff ideally won't see much action. That, and the DIs will be the ones handling the actual training. The Medic will most likely be on standby at each of the training events and will respond if any recruits injure themselves (not expecting serious injuries). However they can still handle medical concerns outside of training, like checking up on recent injuries or monitoring anypony who has any condition (will be minor ones, if allowed).
8. Pops didn't miss a beat as they maneuvered through the narrow passages in the rubble once again. They had probably used them so many times they didn't have to think about it anymore! Probably incredibly useful when they needed a quick escape. "That's okay! We can give you an extra when we get out of the rubble!" Indeed! Surely the Crusaders had enough guns to go around. Somepony would probably be more than happy to share with Sprite. All Pops had was Boom Boom. Before they knew it, they were back on the road on the outskirts of the city once again, everypony checking their equipment and ammo. This hunt was getting serious! Though that's what it had to be, all the time! Even simple creatures like geckos could take on somepony who wasn't prepared, or ready for them. "Hey, anypony got an extra gun for Sprite? She doesn't have one" Pop Rocks went around to each of the other foals that went with them. Cyclops came through, handing over a pistol while he was checking his shotgun. Really? A foal using a shotgun? Oh well, he probably knew what he was doing. Though one did have to wonder how he lost that eye. With a gleeful grin, Pops handed the pistol over to her friend, and even gave her a quick rundown! "Okay! So, you hold it like this..." She pointed it away from everypony, showing her that it was to be held barrel outward. Probably extremely important! She pointed to the end of the barrel- "This is where the bullety bits come out, so aim it away from your face! And when you want to shoot it, just squeeze the trigger after aiming at what you want to hit! Don't pull it, squeeze it! And be careful with your shots, pistols have small magazines!" Finally, she handed it over, and the ground seemed just about ready to head out.
9. Your regular Mane RP character sheet. You can enlist a pony you already have accepted, or you can make a new one. Either way it doesn't matter to me, and you have time before this officially starts. I'm hoping to get it going some time this week so that I can give everyone adequate time to get their characters settled, and myself time to get the whole thing organized.
10. Updated, please read above! And don't be shy! Tell your friends! Them referral bonuses are lookin' good, ponies!
11. "You're in for a fright, my stories tend to bite!" Roleplay Type: Mane RP Name: Goose Berry "G.B." Bumps Sex: Female Age: Mare Species: Pegasus Eye colour: Blue! Mane/Tail: Both black, and both having a streak of rainbow highlighting, done after the success of her most popular book. Coat: Black Physique: Average Appearance: Residence: Baltimare Occupation: Author of the 'Night Terrors' books Cutie Mark: Slightly open book with a ghostly hand reaching out of it. Yeahp. History: Goose Berry was born to two berry farmers outside of Solstice Heights. They, surprisingly, farmed berries. All kinds! Even berries that aren't berries! Like strawberries! Even her namesake, Gooseberries! She didn't have too many kids to play with growing up, most of the community around her being either young mares and stallions, or elderly. Her relationship with her parents was good, thought she wasn't quite as into berry farming as they were. She didn't like the labor, and didn't find berries all that fascinating. They hoped to Celestia she would get a berry-farming cutie mark like them and carry on the family trade... But the realized after a time they should try to push her into something she may not enjoy. Regardless, they got on very well. Yay loving family! She had a close circle of friends growing up, since there were only so few her age. They liked to stick together! But one of their favorite things to do was go camping every Friday. It got them out of the house, and they never went very far. It was always the four of them, four little fillies sitting in a tent in one of their backyards, giggling and telling stories or playing games. Sometimes they brought boardgames too, but those seemed to take up alot of space. Every time before they went to bed, however, they liked to tell stories. Sometimes funny ones, sometimes dramatic or action-y ones. But Goose really seemed to prefer horror stories. Something about the rush of being scared, an overactive imagination warping the world around her. It was amazing! And the feeling she got when she would realize there was nothing to be afraid of, or when the story ended on a happy note, or even if it was just a particularly good story, was awesome! She was a clear fan of the horror genre. A few nights, one of her friends brought a book of short stories she thought Goose Berry would like. And like them she did! Though reading them only fueled her imagination. She felt she could do that too! All that week, she kept trying to write a story of her own! She looked at the elements around her, trying to imagine what she could twist up and make scary. Whenever she was scared, harmless things sometimes looked scary, so why couldn't that apply to thinking things up too? Eventually, what she came up with was a gruesome tale, and she told it to her friends that Friday night. She called it 'Wild Berries'. It was a story about a young colt who lived in a small town, happy as could be. But, one day, there was a report of a disappearance in the newspaper. Very mysterious, guards couldn't find a trace of them. But the colt noticed a strange farmer had moved into town not long ago. He liked to grow berries, and he was a unicorn, using his magic to help them grow bigger. But he was... Out there. He always stared at the anypony who passed by his farm, as if they had no right to be there, or he resented them. The guards couldn't find evidence linking him to the disappearance, and just seemed like a crabby old man. Over time, more and more ponies started disappearing, and even stranger, more and more berries kept showing up in the old stallion's farm. Very strange, but the guards still couldn't find any connection. Eventually they just left the old coot be, even as more and more ponies were going missing. Eventually, there were only a few left in town. Either they had fled, or disappeared. When at last the colt's parents disappeared, he decided enough was enough! He knew that old unicorn must be behind it! If the guards wouldn't help, well darnit he'd just have to help himself! That night, he snuck into the farm at night, creeping around. All he saw was berries. More and more berries. But they were... All sorts of colours... All sorts of shapes and sizes. In fact, one particular plant, he felt rather attached to. It trembled in the wind, and he almost swore it was speaking to him, telling him to run! But he heard hoofsteps in the misty night. He turned around... And standing right there... Was-OHCELESTIA THE FARMER WAS REALLY A STRAWBERRY CANNIBAL MONSTER AND HE TOTALLY ATE THE COLT RAAAAAWR!!!! She thought her little twist was going to be lame, but it actually made her friends huddle up and scream a bit. But in Goose's fit of laughter, her friends saw the light-hearted nature of a good scare and laughed along with her. But in her merriment, she hadn't even noticed her cutie mark appeared! She immediately ran back home and woke up her parents in a fit of joy... At about 11:30PM. Her talent was scary stories! She liked scaring ponies with the power of her imagination! A good scare was great for a rush, or to help ponies get huddled close to fight their fear together. But, she found a lot of ponies found the stories made them happy. Thinking about them after hearing them, some took the opportunity to see that what they found scary in some conditions, was absurd and even silly in others! A strawberry monster that eats ponies and turns them into berries? Ridiculous! However... Even her father admitted he got wary in the garden at night. As she grew up, her focus on writing got more and more in-depth. It was almost all she did in her spare time. Eventually, she got herself published! She's written many stories since then that have delighted ponies in several areas. She called the series 'Night Terrors', of course encouraging her readers to partake in them at night! Her famous catchphrase, etched inside the cover of each book, was "You're in for a fright, my stories tend to bite!". To add to the effect of this, her hard cover books closed like a case, its edges fitting together like teeth. Among her other titles are, of course, Wild Berries (rewritten to be even better), The Honeyed Horror, It Came from the Attic, and, her most popular, Moonbow - The story of how a school janitor had to face aliens that traveled on moonbows (nighttime rainbows) and rescue his family. She currently lives in Baltimare, working on new books and traveling to signings and conventions all over Equestria. She doesn't fancy herself a celebrity or even famous: Just a beloved author. Character Summary: 'G.B.', as she prefers to be called, is a very light-hearted pony. Nightmare Night is, of course, her favorite holiday, and she was ecstatic when the Princess decided to take the holiday in stride and give them all some good scares. Also a fan of haunted houses and other spooky stories. But she doesn't let it show in her personal life. She likes to go out and have coffee, curl up with non-horror books... Sure, during conventions and book signings she's 'The Queen of Terror', but other than that she's just G.B. Joyful, curious, and outgoing. If fact, a favorite pastime of hers is gardening! She's not particularly good at it, but it was in her blood, her parents before her being farmers. She's tried to plant all kinds of things, but seems to have the best luck with flowers. They aren't as well maintained as a professional florist, but she found joy in tending them. Aside from those, there's tomatoes and watermelon that she's tried her best to bring around. Most of them are edible! When she's not working on her writing or having some time for herself, she tends her own bookstore! It's a small operation, mostly selling horror stories and urban legend books. The store itself is called 'A Bump in the Night', located in downtown Baltimare! Not only can customers find her own works there, but many other famous scary writers as well, and she even encourages aspiring writers to try their luck by letting her put copies in an 'up and coming' section reserved for new or unknown writers. As for going out with her friends, a typical afternoon would be going to a decent restaurant, chatting it up, and maybe seeing a show. Oddly enough she's never seen a horror performance on stage. Not even her own, since she's been aware a couple of productions have tried to act out her gripping stories.

13. Pinchy was seeing so many ponies! Some she knew, and some she didn't! "Hey-a Applebloom! We were just gonna play some games!" Scootaloo's excitement seemed to confirm this, only making the pink filly grin wider. Yay! She was going to have so many friends to play with today! She couldn't wait to tell her mother about it! She shared almost everything with her. It was like she was her bestest friend and her mother all at the same time! But enough of that mushy stuff. It was time to play some games! "Okay! I'll go get my jumprope! Oooo~ This is gonna be so much-" Oh, a tumblepony! Or he just fell. He seemed to be alright, as Haywire was investigating this new foal. "He can play with us if he wants to!" Pinchy called over to Haywire as she spoke to him. Now, that's that, onto- "Hey you! Remember me?" Why of course she did! She was about to say so, but realized he was talking to Applebloom. Or he would've been, if- "There's a problem! You have to come quick, its, its..." Boom. Out. K.O. Pinchy couldn't help but giggle. She never could get over it. She didn't really have a grasp on his condition and how serious it was. It just seemed like a silly inconvenience to her. To just fall asleep in the middle of a conversation or activity. "Well, Remmy's here! He can play with us when he wakes up too! ... Hey, wait... Remmy's here?" If she recalled, he wasn't from around here. She definitely didn't see him in any of her classes at school. She knew everypony at school!
14. Pinchy nodded to her friend, grinning. "I get that a lot!" She got up on her hind hooves, striking a heroic pose "Maybe it's a SUPER POWER! I could be... Captain Cute!" She seemed to weird herself out with that name, getting back on the ground where she belongs. "How come superheroes are always Captains, anyway? You never hear of a superhero with 'Lieutenant' or 'Major' in their name... Well, unless you count Major Pain, but he's a villain... And Colonel are almost always villains! Do Colonels get cranky or something?" Pinchy, you're side-tracking. "Hm... Maybe Adorigal? Nah... Hm... The Cuteness?... No... How aboooouut... Ooo! Hi Mommy!" Right! Her mother soon came into the kitchen, the filly buzzing with joy. She held her friend close, as if she were to tell her a secret so great, it could tear apart the very cosmos if a third party heard it. "She. Is the best. At juice." It's true! The filly was sure as soon as her mother's special fruity creation touched Apple's lips, it would be like she was introduced to a whole new world! Happier! Brighter! Enlightened, maybe! It's that delicious! But for now she just sat down and gave her mother a heart-wretchingly adorable grin. "Thaank you, Mommyyyy~!"
15. The one-eyed colt shrugs "Yeah, so?" Pops just guffaws, dismissively waving a hoof at him. "Well I guess if you can't handle it, Cyclops..." The colt with the unfortunate name hops out of his seat, immediately on the defensive. "You don't think I can take a few of those walking belts?!" Pop Rocks just puts on her own little trollface, shrugging. "You said it, not me". Cyclops gritted his teeth, but he could see what the filly was trying to do. Nonetheless... He was getting kinda hungry. "Alright, I'm in..." A few other foals followed suit, and before long they had at least 7 for the hunting party. Pop's wings buzzed with joy, bouncing around. "Eggselent! C'mon guys, lets go get 'em! Follow me!" She promptly left the hideout at a good run, the other Crusaders following behind her. They were heading toward the ruins of the city, likely to go to their weaving pathways to leave and head for the nest. Now was the last chance to back out, or to say anything or to get anything before they departed. Who knows how long this could take?
16. The two ponies inside actually seemed to pay the other filly no mind, as if this sort of thing happened everyday. Which knowing Pop it probably did. The filly was sadface, but she wasn't going to lose hope! Even Sprite was on board! "Yeah! We need to get so many ponies! And guns! We gotta get guns! And-And-And-!" She was practically buzzing she was so excited. She didn't even finish what she was saying before she took off again, the two ponies now sitting at their table having to hold the tablecloth down to keep it from flying off with the speeding filly, as if it was routine. Soon she was tearing through the streets, crying out about eggs in joy. Some looked at her like she was a fool, others paid no mind. But where was her destination? The Crusaders Clubhouse! It was in a blown-out little shed, refurbished with scrap metal plates and plywood. Two very young foals stood guard at the front, wearing old cooking pots as helmets and sticks as spears, doing adorable little marches back and forth. Pops came to a screeching halt in front of the two 'guards', who immediately asked for the 'Passwowd'. "Lemon Blossoms!" she blurted out, grinning. The two foals got excited, asking eachother if the mess hall had lemon blossoms. But then they remembered it was the password, 'Oooh'ing at eachother in understanding. Eventually they stepped aside, and went back to being silly. Pops burst into the clubhouse, immediately trying to recruit some of her friends to get some eggs! "Guys! Guys! I got the rumblies that only omelettes can satisfy! Lets go get some eggs!" "From where...?" asked a one-eyed colt, wearing a cloth around his head to cover up his missing eye. Pop Rocks had a quick and confident answer. "There should be a gecko nest nearby! The grown-ups keep saying they're trying to creep into town! We can take on a few geckos, get some eggs, and have a super duper delicious breakfast!" "What about Godfather? Is he going?" asked a pink and purple filly in the back. Clearly the Crusaders looked up to Godfather as a leader and possibly a protector, since he was the biggest. "Nah, he's being a super weenie and wants to sleep in. But we don't need Godfather, geckos are easy-peasy-one-two-threesy!"
17. The happy filly skidded to a halt... From a walk. Since Sprite was in agreement with these plans, she felt it must be destiny! Deliciousness ahoy! "Come on! Lets go tell Godfather! I bet he'll want to!" Without warning, she'd suddenly take off toward a random shack in town. She didn't even bother to knock, she just opened the door and rushed in and up the stairs. The ponies inside, possibly Godfather's foster parents of sorts, didn't even bat an eyelash. They just smiled and said 'good morning' as their house was barged into by an overly excited filly. Finding the older colt still asleep, Pop would be jumping up and down in his room, shouting at the top of her happy little lungs: "Wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up-!". Godfather was not amused. He tried to bury his head under his pillow, visibly shaking with building frustration. Eventually he sat up, shouting back "For the sisters' sake, WHAT?!" Pop stopped bouncing, an impossible grin stretched over her face. "Lets go get some eggs!" "No." With that prompt answer, he fell back into his bed like a pile of bricks and went back to sleep. A disappointed Pop Rocks kicked the floor in frustration. "Shoot! Well maybe we'll just have to try and get other foals to come ourselves, Sprite!" Of course, she hadn't even bothered to check if her friend was even there, considering she practically left her in the dust when she ran to this house.
18. Pops always thought of Hoofball as an organized 'kill the mare with the ball' type of game. Only the object wasn't to keep the ball for as long as your could, it was about getting it somewhere! Since they lacked the protective pre-war gear (since the Legion liked to hog it) they had to make due with doing their best to not be reckless. Sure, foals got hurt sometimes, but it usually wasn't anything serious. But as they traveled toward the mess hall, the little filly seemed to be getting more and more excited. "I wonder what they'll have for brunch today! One time, we found a crate of powdered eggs! They cooked those up and used some canned veggies and powdered cheese, and made omelettes for everypony! They were delicious! Oh, I hope we find more powdered eggs someday~" she trailed off, as if it were the most dreaming, elegant food she had every eaten. "Eh, but most likely they'll just have leftovers from yesterday. Usually lunch stuff, we don't find a lot of breakfast things anymore... Ooo! Hey! Maybe we should try to find some eggs and make omelettes ourselves! There's a bunch of critter dens around here! I bet if we got a hunting party together and we planned it right-" Whoa, this filly was nuts! Attacking a den for some omelettes?!
19. Pops honestly had no clue what time it was. She would have to hunt down a resident with a pipbuck, but she couldn't really recall if anypony in Chapel had one. Maybe a visitor or something? But she was getting sidetracked. "I dunno. Noonish, I think? Come on outta there, silly, lets go get some brunch! I'm starving!" she demanded in a playful manner, grinning at the thought of food... As foul tasting as it was. They get used to it after awhile, apparently. Her helmet was gone, likely put away somewhere, but she still had that bright yellow cloak, with that girly grenade launcher strapped to her back and always ready for action. One had to wonder what this area of the wastes was like if even the children are always packing. "You should totally come with us next time for hoofball! It's a lot of fun! I scored two touchdowns today! But yesterday I didn't play much, I was tired. Still fun to watch though! Godfather thinks we should get a tournament or something going, but that would only work if we, like... Got every foal in town to play, and a lot of them don't like hoofball, but I guess we'll see what happens." She was chatty this morning. But she held out a hoof in an effort to get her friend back on her feet. "Come on, Sprite!"
20. It was hard to tell how long Sprite was asleep... All that mattered was the sun was still up when another foal from town tried to creep into that same hideyhole and unsuspectingly bumped into the bright-coloured filly! With a yelp of fright, the colt dashed off, leaving a train of dust behind him, likely to find another place to hide. Seems Sprite wasn't the only shy one here. But this little bit of commotion had drawn Pops, who had just finished playing a bit of hoofball, and was dirty as a result, but she didn't seem to mind. Peeking into the hole that had scared the other foal off, she seemed very happy to see what was within it. "Oh! There you are, Sprite! I was wondering where you went off to. I thought you might've gone to bed in one of the buildings, not over here! We do have free beds, you know, in the common house!" Would probably be a lot more comfortable than the hole... Then again, a lot more public as well. Either way, her friend took a seat and kept grinning at Sprite, not seeming like she was going to buzz off unless requested.
