  1. Granola shook herself from the dizziness her thrill ride developed. Fortunately, no pony seemed hurt. She had no time to react to what was happening before Aqua, covered in mud, confronted her about her foolish act. Granola didn't like confrontations at all, and immediately felt small in the eyes of the hippocamp. And to make matters even worse, the other ponies in the area who had recovered from the flash flood were starring down disappointed gestures at Granola as well. No pony, not even Tempest, showed sympathy for Granola's lack of judgement and character. It caused great displeasure in Nola's heart and it made her feel worthless and unwanted. "I- I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt anypony..." Granola was fiercely apologetic. Her irises grew to her eyelids and her pupils deep with black. The upset pony had active tear glands that blurred her vision and kept her from being able to communicate properly. This had always been the case, as Granola was a good crier. But there was no reward for overemotional crying in Ponyville and she was fully aware of her humility at this particular juncture. Granola stood up on her four shaky legs. She wanted to help remove the dirt and mud off Aqua, but was unsure how to do it effectively. She thought of the hose first. No, Gracie, THINK for a moment. Aqua's frustrated rant replayed in Granola's head over and over. They only thing she could think of was to just use her hooves to wipe as much mud as possible. She was afraid to do it any other way, as she might cause more chaos. As she used her bare hooves to removed mud off of Aqua, she couldn't bring herself to say anything more. She only sniffled with an emotional breathing spasm and she exhaled with whistling sighs.
  2. Madden had done a pretty fair job ignoring the cafe ponies for the moment. His thoughts lingered and dwelled on his problems. He even began imagining worst situations that could happen in the near future. Maybe Princess Celestia would banish me for failing to find an appropriate singer. Maybe I'll become on of the most wanted ponies in Equestria for running away from my troubles. Madden wasn't always this pessimistic, but he figured if he could hope for the worst, the situation wouldn't end up so disastrous in the end. It was these thoughts that somehow helped him cope with what stress was to come. Between his meditation and his milkshake, he began gaining his composure once again. His milkshake was very good. For the moment, all of the ponies were excited to see him in a casual cafe in Cloudsdale, but they were keeping his distance as if he was a strong bear in a cage at the zoo. If it really was a zoo, and Madden really was a bear, the situation probably wouldn't look any different. No pony had enough courage to approach him. But then, a dark beautiful mare trotted up to Madden's talbe he was sitting at. She seemed to have no fear of talking to somepony as famous as he was. She also had a sparkle in her eye of curiosity that was different from what most fans would give. Madden found her fascinating as she walked towards him. But then he realized it was truly him she was walking towards, and he immediately tried to cover his persona with a menu. She probably just wants an autograph, Madden thought.
  3. Madden was on his day off. Normally, he'd be finishing his "Daily Sports Wrap Up" program on ESRN, a sports radio station that broadcasted all over Equestria. Unfortunately, his day off was more of a day of bad news. Very quickly, Madden's waiter delivered his drink to the table he was sitting at. The waiter pony obviously knew who he was and desired some star-stunned attention. It wasn't every day somepony got to meet a famous radio announcer. Madden, still showing his disappointment for losing sight of the wonderful singing voice he had heard, looked up at the waiter who was waiting for some kind of reply. Madden rolled his eyes. He knew what it was. Everypony loved to hear his voice in person, since it's only on the radio that they actually heard them. Madden smiled real big, looked at the waiter, and said in a huge announcer voice, "THANK YOU!" Immediately, Madden dropped his smile back to his miserable self. Big announcer or not, he was just a pale blue pony with a milkshake. Madden didn't just announce for big events, he also helped organize them. It was his job and purpose to organize these events behind the scenes so that when the big event went live, he could do his announcing while leaving the ponies he set in place perform their own duties. The cancelling of Sapphire Shores was stressing out Madden more than ever and if he didn't find a replacement soon enough, it would be worst than last year when a young filly who won a contest to sing the anthem lost her voice the day of annual pegasus sprint finals. After Madden gave his shout-out to the waiter who in the end, much appreciated it, several ponies sitting in and around the cafe had heard him announce his thanks. This gave more attention to him, and some ponies remarked among themselves instantly. "Oh WOW! Don't you know who that is? It's Madden from ESRN! "Cool, I don't think I've ever seen him in person." "Do you think he'll give me his autograph?" Madden loved attention. But in times like now, where he is stressing out trying to think of a solution to his problems, it was the last thing he wanted. Madden stood still and sighed as he sipped his milkshake with everypony watching. He hoped that if he ignored them for a short while, they'd stop making a big deal about it. All he wanted now was a quiet time where he could figure out who would be willing to come to Cloudsdale to sing on such short notice.
  4. "I can't believe this!! Less than a month before the next competition and Sapphire Shores cancels on us?! This is a disaster! How am I ever going to find another voice talent to sing the invocations?" Madden spoke in frustration to himself as he walked into the Racing Hall of Fame. Instead of lamenting on his recent misfortune, he decided to cheer himself up doing the one thing he likes do more than anything: commentary. The Cloudsdale Racing Hall of Fame was a sacred place near the Colosseum where pegasi, both young and old, trotted through to remember the great pony racers in Equestria's history, as well as inspire their ponyselves to achieve such a tribute in the near future. This hall would be filled everyday with fans and young athletes to look upon the great flyers that were. Except, it wasn't always filled. Often times it was nearly empty and gave wind for silly stories about historical flyers' ghosts that occupied the vacant space. Clousdale was often mistaken for a sports city. Everypony outside of Cloudsdale talks big game about the athleticism and competition that runs in and throughout the city in the sky. But the truth is, there's a whole lot more in the city than just racing and figurative flying. Cloudsdale also single-hoofedly creates the organized weather all accross Equestria, takes care of flying animals that cannot be tamed by earth ponies, and even inspires other recreational artistic activities, like singing. Today, the hall was echoing only a few pony voices. One of which was named Madden, an middle-aged stallion who at one time used to be a great flyer, but is now a full time sports analyst for sporting events in Cloudsdale and other places. He was with a few tourist ponies who had come by to visit the hall. Madden wasn't paid any wage for his tour guidance, but every time he was seen in the hall with other ponies, he was always lecturing them on the great flyers of the past and even included a few details of his own accomplishments. His commentary was ceased, however, when a rather loud singing voice was heard from the other end of the hall. The voice was sublime. And when the young mare who was singing noticed everypony was looking at her, she apologized if she had been too loud and bowed before the ponies. The ponies, however, seemed to enjoy her voice and used it to observe the hall's surroundings even better than before. Madden, on the other hand, wasn't too happy about having somepony's singing voice, as beautiful as it may sound, keep him from vocalizing his 'brilliant' commentary. But a few moments later, he heard her sing Equestria's National Anthem. When he realized the potential this young mare had and saw that a replacement for the invocations could be filled, he knew that he must speak to her before she got a away. But he could only hear her voice echo through the halls. Where in Equestria did she go? Madden was running through the halls. Sometimes, the halls were a bit of a maze. He knew these halls very well, but not well enough to understand the acoustics of the place. It sounded like her voice was coming from everywhere. And then, her voice stopped, and he heard nothing. Madden looked around and saw several ponies of all ages. He saw an orange pony giving his little sister a pony ride. He noticed an elderly couple inching their way to the closest restroom. And he also saw other pairings, a dark green pony talking nervously with a young black mare. Madden was so frustrated. He was so wrapped up in his story-telling that he never even noticed what she looked like. His talent-finding lifeline was lost. Madden walked outside and sat at a table at the cafe next to the Hall of Fame. He ordered a tall milkshake with two energy shots and cupped his hooves over his face in disappointment. His love for his own voice has been known to cause him to oversee important things. This was no exception.
  5. That would be great, Mojo. You can play a supporting role in our "Wings of their own" thread. Also, I have a rough (crossover) idea about an ancient pony city buried in the middle of the desert. Story goes, the desert used to be a lush forest before rapid weather changes because of the Pegasus movement caused it to dry up. This city will be a landmark for my crossover RP involving Spyro, where the Painted Pinto was still lush. Maybe, we can create some kind of senario for 'treasure' hunters. However, I don't know if it would be considered Crossover or not, since this desert-type atlantis isn't canon to the show.
  6. hey, i noticed that your griffon character has a single red tail feather. But, griffons don't have tail feathers, right? lol What kind of griffon is he?
  7. Arpy nearly fell over after Nova nudged her in the side. She shook herself to her senses after day-dreaming about her wing fantasy. "Hehe, yeah.... yeah... ...we're not there yet," Arpy painfully agreed. Arpy's smile demoted to an invisible frown. It wasn't necessarily easy for Arpy to think about how hard it may be to fly. She had already been through so much already throughout her life and she wasn't too excited about having to be a little more patient to get herself in the air. However, she hid her emotional flaws well between her friends. As her two friends began exchanging thoughts concerning Jona's recently-healed leg and the use of magic for their cause, Arpy began to understand what was soon to come. A question about 'how her magic was coming along'. Arpy dreaded those questions. She heard them from her foster parents, she heard them from her teachers, and on a soon-to-be adventurous day like today, she even heard it from her friends. Arpy was failing at magic. She was the worst student when it came to magic in her class, from all of the unicorns, that is. Occasionally, her peers would even joke that some of her earth pony classmates could perform more magic than she could. Arpy closed her eyes and wished to herself that her magic wouldn't be brought up. Ironically, a very mild sensation ran through her horn, but it couldn't be heard or seen by her friends. And then Nova asked the dreaded question. Arpy got a nervous twitch and bounced her response around the room like a rubber bouncing ball spilling off positive and negative vibes in the same sentence. "Levi-what? OH! Levitation. Yeah, it's a, it's okay. I mean, it's not bad. It needs work. But I can do it! Yeah..." Arpy finished her answer with a false confidence. "Yeah, I can do it, no problem!" The only thing Arpy had ever levitated was her broken feelings about her own inabilities. These feelings have hung suspended right under her proud personality for years.

Yeah, I played that one the other day. Really creepy, but very cool. Honestly, considering how linear it is it's almost like an interactive fanfic, but it works really well. This is exactly what I look for in a MLP game. It could use a little more variety of moves (pathetic Abbie can't do jack but run around), but the interactive movie style is to my liking. Also, great twist and originality.
  11. Your observational humor serves you well, lol.
  12. This is really cool. I had read an article in the winter about Turner Broadcasting making arrangements for Hasbro to air their cartoons on their stations in select countries. We were all thinking it'd be Cartoon Network. I guess Boomerang is owned by Turner as well...?
  13. that actually works great. Cause, my OC, Granola Gracie was raised by 'hippie ponies' near the Great Nimbusgait Lakes.
  14. An overly panicked Granola saw her comforting surroundings disappear around her. The guardspony seemed adequate to do whatever was necessary to make everything alright. 'Alright' still implying taking her into custody. Granola tried to hold her own as her legs shook freakishly from her overwhelming fear of judgement. "It'll will be okay," Granola assured herself. "I'm with friends, and they'll support me. Especially Tempest, she..." Granola couldn't believe her eyes when she saw her only true acquaintance, a ponyvillian pegasus named Tempest, scurry away and taking flight towards the road back to Ponyville. Granola sat down on the ground in shame next to her quickly evaporating puddle of tears and waited for the situation to unfold. She wondered how many letters a day they would let her write from prison.
  15. here are some of my twilight animations: these two aren't avatar size: these two are: I like the dark twilight, but it's a bit of an eye-sore for an avy.
  16. I cop and pasted together a sig and/or banner for you. It's yours if you want it. If not, no big deal.
  17. That's supposed to be what happens when you reach near the speed of light. It's not a distortion of light, it's the actual shape and size of somepony moving that fast. Carl Sagan explains:
  18. I would argue otherwise. There is a canonized character from "The Best Night Ever" named Pony Joe. And though it may be a nickname, it still sticks with repetitive use. I would imagine that typical dialog with such pony shortens their name over time, as does with most two-part named characters. (e.g. Twilight, Rainbow, Pinkie). It would be a lot easier to implement if Mojo's younger life was spent growing up with other species other than ponies. Then, 'pony' would be so redundant.
  19. Very nicely done. Somepony's got pony on the brain.

  23. Will this character be moved to the Pegasus subforum because of the new discussions about background ponies not considered cast?
  24. Arpy, dejected look and all, saw her two friends make their way through the door, jingling the bell, and then followed by the punctual greeting from the clerk. Arpy tried to hide her hat troubles away, but then realized it was the first thing they noticed, so it was too late. They started snickering silently. "Uuuh, hey guys! What's up? Oh this?" Arpy nervously sped up her response to her friends laughing at her, but then slowed down her tempo with confidence. She stuck her chest out. "It's my new hat, and I always wear hats like this. It's the new thing..." Jonagold, having finished his laughing, immediately began spilling his newly discovered flying experiment. He was really excited about it. After hearing all that he had to say, him leaning forward for a response, Arpy raised an eyebrow and gave a small questioning look. As she was taking in slowly everything Jona had to say, She could see two large feathers sticking out of his pack. Just then, arpy's irises touched all ends of her eyelids. She shouted, "THAT IS THE BEST IDEA EVER!!!" Arpy began day-dreaming in her mind. She could picture herself soaring high in the sky, playfully doing loops and somersaults in the air. She imagined her front hooves magically turning into wings, as if adding old dead bird's wings was going to cause that kind of phenomenon. Arpy was ready to believe anything and that the possibilities were endless. Arpy left the conversation for a moment due to her imagination wandering. Her eyes stared up at nothing while she envisioned her dreams.
