  1. *sticks head inside thread* What the hay is going on he-Holy guacamole! 701 pages?! I stopped posting here when it was at like 34 pages. Dag'nabit... I have so much to read and catch up on. Just how much of this is random and irrelevant?
  2. Sweet Celestia, watching this again makes me want to translate to English just to show how silly this is The one with Erik Estrada, oh sweet Luna. I need to wipe some tears away.
  3. I just stumbled upon this while back tracking through some of the forums and I have to say... I cried a bit. From laughing of course
  4. I voted for Rarity and Pinkie Pie respectively. I mean, Rarity is the most feminine out of the mane 6, but she can be tough and take care of herself like in episode with the Diamond Dogs. And Pinkie Pie, well, she's pink. Wasn't Hasbro's whole deal with pink Celestia based only on them believing pink sells to their target audience?
  5. Ugh, thank Celestia and Luna the holidays are over... Now I can get back to the important things! *Starts watching MLP*

  6. I got nothing... I link surf. So I click on links rather than copy paste.

Squawk! Squawk! Polly wants a cracker! Nah, I kid I kid. But if you do have crackers well... I really enjoy your arts. I actually started checking out your tumbler too. Very nice!
  8. Clay let out a small shameful smile and began to rub the back of his head with a hoof. “My apologies Miss Silversword, err, I mean… Silversword.” He had finally understood what she was referring to, but was still finding it hard to drop formalities. She was after all a customer and, although he found her to be rather the curious mare, he was not about to forget that. So, finally recovering his composure, he gave her a small bow to let her know of his understanding, and began to unfasten the wooden box he had brought over from his cart. “Well, the reason I ask about your parents Mis-err- Silversword, is that, if I had to guess, your parents are not water faring ponies. Am I correct?” He paused for a second and looked at her with a wink. Without waiting for a definite answer, Clay then began to pull out a new set of wrapped up pieces from the wooden, and carefully began to unwrap them and put them on display in front of him. He stepped back to allow her to get a good glimpse of each piece that made up the set. It was a 7 piece porcelain tea set, much different from any he had on display. Each piece had an intricate design molded into the sides. On each cup, a scene from a rather elegant party was displayed, the kind of grand royal scene only found at the Grand Galloping Gala. Around the exterior of each, four early Ponithian Columns reached up to the lip of the cup to form arches and where evenly spaced each with a royal guard, both Unicorn and Pegasus. Each guard was represented in their telltale armor and stoic expression and posture. The columns served to frame the elegant scenes taking place beyond them. In between each column, ponies dressed in elegant dresses could be seen mingling with each other, dancing, or enjoying the different variety of party favors and snacks. No visible mare was shown wearing the same dress and no scene was similar to any other scene found on each of the cups. On one cup, a scene of an orchestra was shown playing majestically to a crowd of slow dancing ponies. On another cup, a scene of a Pegasus stallion gracefully pirouetting with his dance partner above the heads of onlookers was shown. Each cup had its own set of different scenes, but none was as grand or regal as the scene found on the teapot itself. The teapot had a long neck, a little over half the girth of the base. The spout, which was located close to the top of the neck, was made to resemble the statue of a unicorn’s head. The handle, placed on the opposite side of it resembled elegant Pegasus wings that extended well to the bottom of the teapot. There were only two scenes on the teapot, one on each side. Unlike the cups, each was similar except for the pony on which it centered. At the bottom, a scene of a multitude of gathered ponies, again all dressed in elegant attire, stood separated by a royal looking rug with an intricate design. Stationed along the edges of the rug, more royal guards were visible. In the middle of the rug, more ponies could be seen making their way to the grand royal staircase on which the royal rug continued to climb up. The staircase itself was carved into the neck of the teapot and towards the top of it stood a throne. In front of that throne, depending on which side you were looking at, Princes Celestia or Princess Luna could be seen with unfurled wings displaying all of their grandeur. Above each of the princesses’ head, their cutie mark was displayed on a royal banner. Clay stood silent for a moment with a warm smile on his face as he observed Silversword. After a seconds pause, he took a few gentle steps forward and nudged the cups and teapot close to each other and turned them this way and that. Placed together, the scenes visible on each cup seemed to effortlessly blend into the scene on the neighboring cup, creating a grand representation of the entire Grand Galloping Gala. The teapot itself, when placed in between the cups with the spout facing the viewer, created the illusion of an elegant Alicorn statue with its wings held regally behind its head with both the sun and the moon standing to its sides. Clay stood quietly before sitting down on his haunches and cocking his head to the side. “So Silversword, before we discuss the price of this particular set, may I have your opinion on it? I do believe your parents would rather love this.”
  9. One of my favorite hobbies came from a childhood dream. I do card tricks. The idea of magic has always fascinated me. Especially when I was a child. I believed we all had this secret power to make things happen. Most by accident, like wishing for rain and it starting to rain. But, if somepony realized they possessed this power and applied themselves to it, then they could create the most wonderful of things. Magic tricks were something I always wanted to learn when I was a kid. I believed they were the embodiment of the "fun" aspect of this power because what I saw always filled me with cheer and made me laugh. Even as I got older and learned the sad truth about the tricks I saw, I still wanted to learn and tried my hoof at many magic tricks. Out of all, I never took to any as much as I did to card tricks. Little by little I applied myself and learned the ins and outs of certain tricks. From simple pulls and glides, to complex mathematical games. I've tried my hoof at many card tricks and although I've failed at some and continue to practice them, there are plenty of tricks in my bag to make people smile, become stunned, or simply laugh. In a sense, I view this as a form of magic, if you will. Through my willing actions, I can make people laugh and enjoy themselves, just like I used to when I was a kid. Still, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a small part of me hoping my initial beliefs were true and that out there, somewhere, there is somepony that knows all the secrets to real magic. And that perhaps, one day, I'll bump into them and give them a show.
  10. Heights... and flying, dear Celestia I hate flying. Anything above a two story building frightens me. If its on or above the third story of a building, I have a really really hard time getting close to the railing. Its odd though, if I'm looking at it from an angle, like standing away from the railing and looking out, I'm okay. But as soon as I get close and the view becomes more "vertical," my heart thumps in my ears and I feel like my chest is compressing and I'm about to fall over.
  11. I have iTunes and purchased both seasons so that I could watch at my leisure. When the DVDs come out, I have every intention of purchasing, even if they aren't season box sets. Now, the reason I justify my saving up money in order to spend on such things is rather quite simple. I love MLP. No matter how horrid my day gets, I get home and watch a few episodes and it cheers me right up. We all need that every now and then, so thus I justify not buying a hamburger from McDonalds or not buying sodas and such in order to save up. Yes, admittedly many of us found MLP thanks to Youtube, but the way I'm seeing this is as an attempt by Hasbro to protect their investment and perhaps see how profitable MLP can really be in relation to the Brony community. They are a company with many many people to please, and good feelings and a heartfelt thank you don't go a long way towards paying bills. Its just the nature of the beast, so to speak. True, free advertisement is the best advertisement, and we are free advertisement for them. We spread the word of just how awesome MLP is and convince a few to watch the shows and some will buy the products. But certain reigns have to be pulled before adequate steps can be taken towards any goal. This is just them beginning to tug and pull and testing the unknown roads of the Brony fandom. Many have already mentioned it, but its worth mentioning again. We Bronies are an anomaly. One that has to be prodded and tested to see just how we bend and move. Many mistakes will be made by rule of trial and error, such as not being able to purchase episodes on iTunes without an American account. Hopefully they will realize this mistake and work towards mending it. Sadly, I don't predict it happening any time soon which will be hard if my career picks up and I find myself out of the country. For now though, all we can do as fans is continue to support the show and provide our feedback, when and where its requested, in a polite manner.
  12. Happy New Year every Pony! May this year be 20% cooler and filled with more muffins than we can stuff.
  13. Is it a place with a weird black portal? If so, that would have been me. Except, I wouldn't exactly call it taking over, but more along the lines of stumbling upon it. I just went exploring and had need to replace some armor and such. Could have sworn I made them public though. Oh well, if I find myself in that neck of the woods again, I'll try and make them public again.
  14. Howdy! Just wanted to mention that the desert beyond the site for Ponyville has been claimed as the site for Appleloosa. And by desert, I mean the entire desert. I already traveled out there and set up camp so that I may begin to set the foundations for it. I have also taken advantage of Diego's post from a while back with that link to the Minecraft Structure planner, so expect to see some pics of what I have planed for the buildings. I plan to make it as close to possible as I can to the Appleloosa in the show, so if you feel like a two day trip, head on out and take a gander.
  15. Wait... zombies carry beef jerky now? I thought it was just, you know, pony flesh unless... OMG, you are all cannibals aren't ya?
  16. Howdy everypony! Due to a slight minuet misunderstanding today, I feel I should make mention of the sheep pen located near the base of Canterlot. First off, those are communal sheep. I gathered them and bred them so that everypony would have wool nearby and not have to go hunting off in the wilds. The idea was that ponies would make a request and I'd breed some sheep and sheer them, thus delivering the wool. However, I am not always on. That being the case, everypony is welcomed to the sheep, that being the whole meaning of "communal" sheep. You can go into the pen and are welcomed to do anything you'd like. You can stare at the sheep, pet the sheep, feed the sheep, gamble with the sheep (I get half their earnings), talk with the sheep, and above all... sheer the sheep for the wool you need. As long as you don't annihilate the whole flock of course. All I ask though, is that you give me a heads up before doing this. I know this requires some planning, instead of the whole "just go and build whatever you feel like" philosophy which rules Minecraft. But, if you tell me beforehand, then I can breed more sheep to ensure the wool vein doesn't run dry. Everypony should have a fair chance at the wool, so letting me know allows me to try and breed some to replace the ones that are sheered. After staring at naked sheep for a few days, I have come to the conclusion that sheep are nudist and don't regrow their wool after sheering. So, you can see where I'm going with this. In order to make sure everypony has a fair chance at readily available wool, I need to breed the ones we sheer. So, just let me know beforehand and heck, I'll do all the dirty work and deliver the wool to you when you stop by the Chonico Acres Husbandry Division office (aka the place with sheep, chicken, and pigs).
  17. Hey, is anypony having issues getting onto minecraft in general? I keep getting that it cannot connect to minecraft.net and when I try and go to the main page itself, all I get is a blank page. Edit: Never mind, I answered my own question. Yay for being resourceful
  18. Actually, I found a stronghold a while back while exploring the nether for the first time. Literally stumbled right upon it. I still remember how to get there. Anypony pony up for a bit of spelunking and castle raiding?
  19. I had the same problem with mine. I had to re-download the mod. Guess I didn't do it right the first time.
  20. Down the road, not too far away from the entrance to Sweet Apple Acres, a metallic jingling could be heard getting closer and closer with each hoofstep the pony took. Klondike had woken up early, a rather rare occurrence, and gotten everything ready to begin the reconstruction of the new barn. His satchels and hiking bag combo, which looked too heavy for a pony of his size, were filled to the brim with tools from his shop and the jingling that sounded out from it lived up to the name of his repair shop. As he got closer to the entrance, it was visible that he was wearing a yellow hardhat on his head with two holes for his ears to poke out of. And, as he got even closer, a rather content but absent minded look was clearly plastered on his face. Also, it was clearly visible that he was covered in bandages. His right ear, with its nonstop twitching was bandaged up, as well as his head, portion of his neck, and his mind section. “Hi Miss Applejack!” He called out as he approached the arch of the farm. “How are you this fine morning? Great weather for getting lost in work.” He stopped right in front of her and reached back into one of his satchels and pulled out another yellow hardhat in his muzzle which he quickly placed on top of her Stetson hat. He paused for a second as he looked at her, reached up with his hoof to straighten it out, and then walked on by her. Looking around the entrance, he noticed that there didn’t seem to be any other ponies there yet. So, quickly turning to look back at Applejack, he sat down on his haunches and cocked his head to the side a bit. “So how many ponies are helping us today Miss ApplejaAAAH.” The weight from the satchels and hiking bag won against gravity and Klondike’s own weight and began to lift him off the ground as they settled on the ground behind him. Now Klondike found himself on his back and looking at the sky as his hooves dangled in front of him. “Oh hey, my fetlocks look like they need a trim and look!” He pointed to the sky. “See? Perfect weather for getting lost in your work.” Klondike then let his head dangle over the bags he lay on and looked at the barn behind him, which was now upside down to him. He began to use his hooves to frame in the barn. “Oh yes, definitely, once we get the ground right side up, this job is going to be very enjoyable. Hmm, should clear out the debris first and then we…” He began to moves his hooves around as he pointed at seemingly random things and mumbled to himself the details of the reconstruction. For all intended purposes he was already lost in his thoughts and plans for the job to come. “Hmm, yes, should ask her how many ponies we got for this job…”
  21. Wish I could, but I'm on the same boat as you. I don't get paid till Friday too If I've had known we'd be this close, I'd have donated a bit more that what I did when I had the chance Still, it has given me time to think up a few ideas for what else to build in game. A post office next to a railroad station comes to mind for some reason. Or, better yet since it's Canterlot, an airport. Been wanting to build a hedge maze too. Or, since I have a forest in my backyard, I could gather some wood and set out into the desert to build us an Aaaaaaaappleloosa!
  22. I graduated this past May, but I just wanted to pop in here and wish everypony an awesome finals week I will say though, reading all these post... makes me feel weird that I've spent a whole 4-5 months without freaking out about a paper or exam. But I shouldn't complain. There are plenty of other things to freak out about after school. Keep your spirits up Bronies! The road is long and hard, but the carrot dangling from that stick will eventually taste oh so much sweeter at the end
  23. I was reading this thread because it intrigued me. I tried showing MLP to my brother and the reactions were... less than appropriate but entirely expected given his character. Still, glad to see some ponies are having success You may be on to something though. Maybe all I need is more pony to convert him. How does that saying go? "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it." Maybe I just need to throw him in a pool. Not an actual horse, my brother I mean. And by pool I mean pony avalanche.
