How is this application coming along?

It was a rather peaceful night as PaintedWings trotted along the sidewalks of Manehatten, the first night since her 'incident' that she went out alone. The older filly had finished her daily duties at home she ran them through her head just in case before she got too far from from home. "First I did my school work, then I did my deliveries for Ms. CookieSweets, I made sure my room was nice and tidy. . . . and I told Ms. CookieSweets I would be out for a while." she nodded approvingly to herself as she also did a mental note of whats in her saddlebag. 'Sketch book, coloured pencils and paint brushes are in the left saddle bag. Bag of bits, which should carry at least 20 bits, and a box of cookies from Ms. Sweets kitchen' Just as Painted finished making a mental note of everything important she noticed a shadow that seemed to look.... pony shaped! The filly tried to stifle her rising panic as she looked up and noticed it was just a colt and an Earth Pony at that. She let go of the breath she didn't know that she was holding, fear was soon replaced with curiosity as the young pegasus wondered what this colt was doing dressed up like some sort of super hero. She opened her wings and flew after the mysterious colt trying to catch up to him "E-excuse me!" she called to him in hopes of gaining his attention.

Today was one of the days that Octavia hated, well not hated just extremely disliked. Today was her day off from work and her Contrabass was in shop for tuning and repair not to mention that she'll have to tune it once more just so it will be perfect. She never understood why she let those ponies at the shop tune her instrument for her when she just does it herself anyway, but it didn't matter it made the shop owners happy to do this for her so she let them and shouldn't complain about it. The grey earth pony was trotting down her usual street when she noticed a building that seemed to be made out of gingerbread it was decorated in all sorts of candies and looked rather scrumptious despite the fact that she never really indulged in the sugary sweets. She stood in front of the building enjoying the smells that came from the building, she stood there for a few minutes with her eyes closed trying to identify the smells until a rather rude stallion pushed her into the building. "Ruffians! Always have to be so barbaric" she said crossly for a moment before she noticed an excited pony bouncing about the store "I . . . . um, Hello there my good lady is this your store?" Octavia was never good at starting a conversation, but it was better than her just standing in the middle of the room smelling everything in sight.

This application looks good so far! Just a few spelling errors such as main should be Mane, pacific should be specific. Also the line where it says; People should be changed to ponies and I believe it should say "Living in this area as they affect and are affected by" Tom also does not have to be constantly put in parenthesis quote(Don't know why I said parentheses) as we understand that Tom is his nickname.
