  1. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar sat there and listened while Gloomy told her what it was like growing up in Bridlewood. Her ears folded back a bit as she described a foalhood that... really didn't exist. Well, it kind of did, but didn't say the same time. Living in constant sadness over something that was lost sounded horrible, and a part of her deep inside felt extremely sad as well. Sure earth ponies may not have gained anything on a surface level when magic faded from Equestria, but they didn't lose anything either. It was easy for them to continue life as normal, became it was for them. Sugar had never considered what kind of toll the loss of magic would have on the races that actually used it. To be a pegasi and suddenly not be able to fly, out a unicorn and suddenly not be able to do the things that used to... Sugar actually started tearing up at the thought. For her, it would be like as if someone had smashed the jewelry box that she had made with her grandmama. There's no words to describe that loss. She described that she herself had learned how to make others feel less bad about their situations with her poems and the like, but now they she was starting to feel happier, she wasn't sure how she was going to translate it since she wasn't good at Sunny Sonnets. "Well, I'm sure a unicorn as amazing as you would be able to adapt pretty easily. Though I am sorry that you all had to go through that. Sure, we grew up in fear, but to have your entire world flipped upside down... It's no wonder many of the other ponies were sad. It is a bit ironic though that the one that sought to be happy was the one that got it back. I'm sure there's a poem waiting to be written for that one..." She started. "Growing up here in comparison... Actually makes me sad now, looking back on it. I don't know anything about the great fall out whatever term that the unicorns called whatever actually happened, but I do know that... Well for the earth ponies, since we never had magic or flight to begin with, things never really changed except for growing apart from the other tribes. By the time I shared growing up, we were already being taught that pegasi would snatch up earth ponies and use them for food, and that unicorns would fry anypony that got to close. That none of them could be trusted and if you saw one, run away. When I first saw Izzy come into town, I almost wet myself in front of everypony. Not that they would have noticed because it sent the entire town into a frenzy. A drastic overreaction now, looking back on it, but growing up it was ingrained into us that this was what we were supposed to do. 'To be scared, is to be prepared.' was the motto that we were always given. But we still had our farms, or friends, out basic lifestyles... That got robbed from you and the pegasi... And honestly it makes me sick to know that we had it easy while there were others like you that were hurting, maybe not on the outside, but definitely on the inside. At the very least, I wanna do my part to help others not hurt anymore. Deep down, were all ponies, and everypony deserves to be happy," she finished with a warm smile.
  2. ~~~Wind Dancer~~~ The cheers that were heard at the conclusion of the vows turn into a cacophonous roar that Wind Dancer was fairly certain could even be heard outside of the city when the Princess said the magic phrase. You may now kiss the bride. Wind Dancer, still feeling the array of butterflies in her stomach leaned forward. Winds, hooves, everything that could move and embrace something moved as she took Sky into the hug that would end all hugs and she pressed her lips to his. It was the ceremonial seal to the ceremony, or at least so she though. She didn't know how long the kiss lasted, but the roar quickly died down as the crowds had been distracted by something else. When Wind Dancer opened her eyes, and pulled back, like Sky she looked around and noticed that everything was a lot darker before noticing that the moon was eclipsing the sun. When she heard Sky speak, she gave him a nuzzle and a giggle. "The night was what brought us together, the night is what made us who we are, the Night is who bound us together, and now the night showers us with stars. I don't think this could have been any better," she said giving him a nuzzle before whispering in his here. "Besides, it was you who agreed to marry me," she teased, since they both technically proposed to the either, neither was wrong! ~~~Golden Bit~~~ Golden Bit sat there with waves of happiness in her heart. While Wind Dancer wasn't a daughter to her by blood, she had watched Wind Dancer grow into what she was today, and had made sure that she could reach her full potential. Suffice to say, Wind Dancer felt like the daughter to her that she never had. Watching the mare that she had a hoof in shaping reach the pinnacle of her relationship and wed hgerself to the colt that she loved, and to have her find a colt that was almost exactly like her in every way, was a one in a million chance, and Windy and Sky both deserved every second of it. Golden wiped some of the drifting tears from her eyes as the started their kiss and finished their vows, but what really got her attention was the eclipse timed when they were doing their kiss. It was a perfect symbol of unity, and considering that both of those ponies had very nocturnal ties, that was about the best thing that could have happened for the two of them. That and Golden Bit wasn't going to pass up any opportunity for shade from the hot Las Pegasus sun. She heard the mother of Scarlet sobbing next to her and she smiled. "You have every reason to be. You raised one heck of a stallion my good mare. Dare I say it would be impossible to find one more genuine. I am truly happy for you and your family. May it grow unto the stars," she smiled to the mare. ~~~Ice Storm~~~ The moment that the sky started turning dark, there was a small look of dread in Ice Storm's eyes. Dang it! I knew there was something important I was forgetting to do this week! Oh well, Twilight had to know that something like this was going to happen. After all, she at least knew that Luna was doing a wedding today. If there was an issue, I'll just say it was lost in the mail... No... that won't work, she knows I'm way too organized for that... she thought to herself watching the scene unfold in front of her. She let out a warm smile as she watched the union cement itself in front of thousands of ponies, and she too joined in the cheers that were being given. You know what, Buck it. Twilight could use the excitement. It will keep her on her hooves. This is way more important, she thought again, still cheering through the crowd.
  3. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar smiled as Gloomy enjoyed the chili that she made. Enough so that she went for a second bowl. A trend that Sugar herself followed in not too long after. She heard Gloomy comment on the spirit of friendship and magic making about as much sense as anything else might. Though given the world today, how much sense anything made anymore was up for debate. She also heard Gloomy say that the trees that they lived in only grew in the branches and not down in the trunk. That was relieving a little bit. She could imagine that it would get rather old having to make new stairs every couple of years. It was apparently a good thing as well. When she heard Gloomy add that they couldn't make any new homes without magic. At least not without killing the tree that they were moving into. "That is unfortunate, but as you said, hopefully those abilities will come back to you, and hopefully I can help with that in some way, if by nothing else helping ponies smile," she said, sitting her now empty bowl on the small coffee table in front of the sofa. "So, what else can you tell me about Bridlewood? What wear it like to grow up there?"
  4. ~~~Aloe Blossom~~~ Aloe had to stifle a giggle when she heard Rose call rarity the element of vanity. She wasn't entirely wrong, and inside Aloe did wonder if part of hey generosity was a ploy to get more of her merchandise out there for ponies to see. It was smart at the very least, and she's never ever accuse the pony of false generosity. She'd personally seen that mare give away some crazy things and do things that most just wouldn't do. "She does like promoting herself a lot, but at the same time and business owner would. But yeah, the candy will have to wait just a bit. Though if you go by Frozen Delight's later, the might let you get some of their snow cone syrup. That would be the closest thing to liquid candy I can think of, and I'm sure Albedo will love it. I haven't seen a filly of any variaty that didn't like sweet stuff. I know that when we were younger, we used to have a competition on who could sneak the most treats," Aloe said, nodding as Lotus mentioned that they could continue socializing while they worked. About that time their first client of the day showed up. It was the new mayor, Mayor Rich! She immediate noticed that Lotus was back and was the first comment that she made upon entering. "Good morning Mayor Rich. Here for your usual?" Aloe smiled, making hey way to the counter to check her in, albeit still a bit slower than normal with her added gait.
  5. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar would let Gloomy fill her bowl up first, as was the tradition in the earth pony way to let the guest have first dibs on the dinner dishes. Once she had, Sugar herself added cheese and the crackers and stirred them in. She was happy to see that Gloomy had done the same. Another thing the two had in common. When Gloomy mentioned something about friendship having a spirit. She thought about it for a moment, and it kinda made sense. She smiled brightly when she heard Gloomy add that this was the best chili she'd had. "Thanks! I'm glad you like it! Help yourself to as much as you'd like! If you go away hungry, it's your own fault!" She giggled. "Back to the subject of friendship though... When you think about it and really dive into it... Magic left all of us when the races split apart. I don't really know what caused the initial divide, but I do know that it took reuniting the three races and rebuilding that friendship that brought magic back to begin with... So what if that magic that you can wield... Is actually the spirit of friendship granting you your power?" Sugar asked. "Actually for that matter, how did you keep your houses from growing taller with the trees? Did you have to build steps? Every so often?" Sugar missed curiously.
  6. ~~~Wind Dancer~~~ Wind Dancer couldn't help but smile a bit as Sky started teetering. Truth be told, she was feeling the same emotions right now. Everything in her life had culminated to this point. The little bundle of joy that was sitting with her grandparents, now trying to play with Candy was a sight to behold as well, but nothing was more important than when Sky started reading his vows. She couldn't help but tear up a bit herself, and knew that it probably wouldn't be the last time that she started crying today. This was a day she'd been looking forward to her entire life, and now it was happening. She waited until Sky finished before speaking up herself. "I, Wind Dancer, do solemnly swear, In front of all that would bear, That I will be the dance to your song. That you will never want or long. That both in sickness and in health, I will stay with you no matter what's dealt. Until the winds of time take us away, Your wife I will forever stay," She said herself. Her voice was shaky, and there were hiccups in her throat. But she was able to make it. Even with all the performances and shows she'd ever put on, there was nothing that could have prepared her for this moment. Her wedding dress that has been at least somewhat comfortable before now felt like it was on fire it was so hot. It was growing harder by the second to hold back the dam of emotions that was pouring through her as she waited for the princess to speak again.
  7. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar smiled a bit, both warmly and a bit sultry when Gloomy said that her bed would be a bit cozier when she can't to visit. That their houses were made out of the trees that were there, so space was limited. "That's actually kinda cool! You're literally living inside nature and helping maintain the integrity of the first by doing so! And besides, being extra cozy sounds fun," she smiled, getting a few bowls out from her cupboard. The first one she quickly grabbed her cheese wedge from the fridge and shredded a good bit into the bowl. The other she filled with crackers. "Don't know if you like cheese or crackers with your chili, but I have both of you want them," she added. When Sugar talked about hearing stars and the cosmos, and that she had a small problem believing that any higher force wanted her to be happy. "Hearing stars, or knowing what's in store for anything? Na. I don't thing anypony can know that. Though with the return of magic there might eventually be some that could find out, but I'm not sure I'd want to know that answer anyway. If we know what's coming, an SSD we know it's something we wouldn't like, it would put all of our focus in trying to prevent the outcome so we would overlook something else that might have made the experience better. Honestly, I don't know what I believe in the spirits, but I know that something gave Sunny the drive to unite everypony. Something gave you a drive to come to Maretime Bay, and that something led you to me, where we are now about to indulge ourselves in hopefully, the best chili you've ever had," she smiled.
  8. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar would release the hug, before glancing over at the clock. The chili should be ready by now. She heard Gloomy talk, and Sugar smiled and shook her head and spoke up. "Of course not. Especially not when my bed is plenty big enough for the two of us," she smiled. When Gloomy asked about the possibility of them moving to fast, that she when she left her home, she wasn't expecting all of this. Sugar shrugged. "If they're is one thing I've learned from all of this... Is that fortune favors the brave and adventurous. Neither of us would be having this conversation now if Sunny had given in to all the propaganda and don't take a chance on her new friend. I'm not entirely sure what the cosmos has in store for us, but I'm willing to find out together. How fast we wanna move is honestly up to you, but with as flirty as we've been, you can't deny that you're not at least curious," she said with a smirk before nodding back to the kitchen. "Come on, the chili should be ready," she added, getting up to move to the other room.
  9. ~~~Wind Dancer~~~ Wind Dancer made the walk down the aisle with her father next to her. Her heart was pounding in her chest as the music played and she saw the princess and her groom standing at the end of the aisle. Everything still seemed to be completely surreal and as she reached the end of the aisle. The music came to a halt, as did she in front of the altar as the princess began to speak. She listened to the opening introduction and looked towards Sky as she directed him to read the vows that they had written for the occasion. ~~~Golden Bit~~~ Golden was going to give more to the conversation until she heard the music start. At that point, it would be rude to continue any personal conversations while the actual wedding ceremony was taking place. "Well, I am very glad to have met you. We should continue this conversation after the ceremony has concluded," she smiled. She then waited as the princess started speaking and the music stopped. She had a well of emotions inside of her, and used her magic a bit to wipe a tear forming in her eyes away. One thing was for sure. Las Pegasus was definitely a much better place while these two were still here. ~~~Ice Storm~~~ Ice Storm remained silent as the ceremony started. She smiled warmly as she watched the little one grab and giggle with Candy. She wasn't sure if the little one understood what she said, but between candy, popcorn, snow cones, and ice cream, this little filly definitely wasn't going to be one for lacking. Ice's attention was then drawn back to the alter as Luna began the ceremony, talking about how the union today was a true symbol of what love and commitment should be like in Equestria. From what she had heard about the couple and what she knew of them when she had them do shows, these two were also a source of inspiration and hope to others, much like the mare that was presiding over the ceremony. A tale of comeback and dedication that was second to none, and were now forming the perfect union. There was a well of happiness inside of her, though the guard inside of her kept her from getting to emotional. She naturally was just keeping an eye our around for neighsayers that might be here to spoil things.
  10. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar could feel the heart beating inside the mare next to her, and she could tell that she was scared, at least at first. But then she felt Gloomy lean into the snuggling hug that she was giving her. She pulled her tighter, the more that she calmed down, content to hold her as long as she needed to be held. She felt Gloomy return the hug and felt her hooves around her own neck and she also snuggled back into it. There was no need to move. No need to think, no need to do anything other than lay there with each other. When she heard Gloomy finally speak up, she couldn't help but smirk up to the mare. "Hehe, maybe not here in the living room where everypony else could see, but once we get to my bedroom later I might just have to take you up on that offer," Sugar said without ever moving from their embrace. In all honestly, she'd completely forgotten about the little spark, and figured she'd probably not even remember she had it until she sat on it later.
  11. ~~~Aloe Blossom~~~ Aloe nodded when she heard Lotus say that she would have to get to work fast then. "But hopefully not too fast, we still have a lot to catch up on," she said as she also heard Lotus start talking about showing her some of the stuff that she had gotten on the trip. She said that there was a lot that would require a bit of work to implement. That it would probably be best to try to do so at the beginning of the work week. "Oh, I can almost guarantee Rarity will be here. Not that I'm complaining, but she spends almost more time here than she does at her boutique," Aloe said with a small giggle. When Rose mentioned introducing Lotus to their little ones, Aloe immediately nodded in response. She was ecstatic to hear that Lotus seemed to be on board with the idea as well. "As far as normal clientele... it's funny that you should mention that. We actually do a lot of work on non-ponies anymore. Ever since the School of Friendship opened up, we've seen a little bit of everything here. Why, while you were gone, I've worked on Hippogryphs, I worked on an Aerion, I worked with Rose here, and things took quite an amazing turn there, and we've even worked on a Kelpie! A kelpie of all ponies!!! I wasn't entirely sure what to do with her though... I'm not sure how to massage water," Aloe said scratching the back of her head. She gave another nod and a smile when Lotus suggested getting back to work. Now that Lotus was back, Aloe had a new level of energy about her. One that even her current state wouldn't be able to slow her down much.
  12. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ When Sugar turned back to the mare, hearing her shaky voice, and seeing the look of sorrow and being in the verge of tears, she instantly knew that this wasn't Gloomy's intent. Not that she hadn't known that already, but hearing her apologize and say it was only supposed to be a little poke was one of the most sincere things she'd heard. That kind of emotional response wasn't something a pony could fake. She also learned another thing... Seeing Gloomy cry was definitely not on her list of things that made her happy or that she wanted to see. Without any further hesitation, Sugar did the only thing that she felt that she could do to calm the unicorn down. She moved over to her, and then snatched her up into a giant hug. "Hush now. None of that. I know you weren't trying to hurt me. If you were you had ample opportunity to do so. Sure that stung a bit, but I know you weren't trying to do that, and I forgive you," she said, holding her close in her hooves. She let her own rub against Gloomy's shoulder to further accentuate that she wasn't mad or upset. She certainly wasn't going to let this get in the way of what they had already. Besides, of this goes the way most friendships do, she'd do something herself at some point that would hurt Gloomy by accident. "Besides, it's not really that noticable anymore. Just a bit sore," she added with a nuzzle.
  13. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar nodded over again when Gloomy mentioned that maybe the stuff that Canterlogic made wasn't useless, bit just misadvertised. Thinking about some of the other products that they made, Sugar got to thinking. "You know, the unicorn entrapment device and the splatapult could make for good obstacle course items, or for games like capture the flag. The splatapults though would have to have water balloons though to actually make them safe...er. I still wouldn't wanna get my hoof caught in it though. I kinda wanna play that game now. Go out by the what's left of the lighthouse and get two teams together and go at it. That sounds like fun," she said with a giggle. Sure then put the device back on, and she was right. It very much made her look silly. The light illuminating have the room a red glow, to before she heard Gloomy talk about how she was wondering if it actually protected ponies or just detected magic. "Well, like I said, it's never been AAIEEK!" she screeched as she felt a stinging, painful sensation in her flank. She looked back to see a small scorch mark on her flank and a small bit of red underneath it. In that instant as well she heard the device on her head chirp once more, but otherwise remain inert. A part of her felt betrayed, and an even smaller part of all the fears they had been indoctrinated with started to come back. However, she also knew, especially now from that little zap, of this unicorn wanted to actually hurt her, she would have done it by now. Besides, they'd been flirty up to this point. "Buck that hurt... I guess that was one thing that we were right about. In the wrong um... Horn, unicorn magic can be very dangerous, and we also know that this device will detect, but not stop it," she says rubbing the spot that got hit. Not that most of the suit got wiped away. It wasn't too noticable other than the small dollop of red oozing like it would if she had gotten a shot from the doctor.
  14. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar watched intently while Gloomy started using her magic on the device. To be completely honest, she wasn't sure what she should expect. The device could be a dud and do nothing, it the device could be a catalyst and explode in dramatic magical fashion. Her face took on an 'oh my' look on it when the magic reacted with the device. The only thing they happened was the light on the top came on and there was a little chirp can from it. She heard Gloomy start giggling so much that she collapsed, as she said that it was a magic detector. Sugar couldn't help but join the giggle fit as the sheer ridiculousness of the device hit her. "Well. That is certainly interesting... And useful if we're going to be adventuring! I don't know if it will detect ambient magic, but it might. And that could help us find some amazing, or possibly dangerous, items. Items that might help us figure out how to start getting rebuilding things from the past!" she said, watching as Gloomy lifted the device, wanting to see how she looked in the device now. She would nod and giggle. "Okay! It doesn't look dangerous anymore! If anything it looks silly," she giggled again.
  15. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ "You're very welcome," Sugar said as they conversation started to die down a bit. They had covered several topics offer the course of their brief time together, so it wasn't surprising, and they had a bit more time to kill while they were waiting for the chili to finish cooking. With another sip of her own tea, she heard Gloomy start asking about the device again. She acknowledged that the helmet was never tested, and that curiosity was getting the better of her to see if it actually worked or not. "Nope! At least not to my knowledge. I don't think that they had any unicorns in the back that they were using for testing..." She said, shuddering at the thought. Honestly at this point, she wouldn't be shocked if Phyllis had a unicorn captive back in her lab the entire time. But then that would mean that she was beyond the evil that she'd even thought of her now because that many she knew that magic didn't exist then and was still propagating that lie. "So no, but honestly... I do kind of wonder myself, but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to address. But then again, we've had our fair share of moments during our conversations already... So I don't think inappropriate matters anymore," Sugar said, poking her tongue out playfully. "Though that does bring up the questing whether the device was safe to begin with. You already said a unicorn can't read minds, but I wonder what would happen if you zapped it?" she pondered, looking at the device herself. "I'll be honest, I'm more scared of the device now that magic does exist, because we don't know what it does..."
  16. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar smiled as Gloomy commented on the chili. It wasn't anywhere close to ready yet. It would need time to simmer so they the flavors would truly meld, but she was delighted to see that she enjoyed what she tried. She also couldn't deny the small show of intimacy that the mare displayed by taking the bite from the spoon directly from her, rather using her magic to hold the spoon herself. "Indeed! It's all coming together. We'll let that simmer for an hour or two and then everything should really start taking shape," Sugar smiled. Then the big question in the room was answered, and she was certain that she could see a much brighter mood coming from gloomy. She already seemed much happier than she was when she first came into town. Sugar was happy that she had such an effect on her and hearing Gloomy speak and return her own offer for a place to stay. She could still feel the giddiness inside her build up and still be boiling over. "Yay! I promise I'll try to be as unintrusive as possible! I'll also try not to bring to much with me. I don't want to overcrowd your home," she said with a smile, holding up the tea kettle. "More tea?" She asked, happy that she was able to hit off so well with this new pony. Gloomy had all the workings of an amazing friend, and maybe more. There was definitely a unique feeling with her, and she could feel her heart flipping within her chest the longer they were together. She could definitely say that she hadn't felt this excited for anything ina long while.
  17. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ To hear the plight of the unicorns first hoof made Sugar feel sad. Most of them didn't have money? She supposed that in a forest that wasn't a terrible thing as you could scavenge for seeds and the like and be able to provide for yourself, but even then, if you didn't have a good spot for it, it wouldn't grow properly because it wouldn't get enough light. And that's just the food. She was now more determined than ever to go there. While she wasn't rich by any means, she wasn't hurting either. Being the top model at Canterlogic paid well, but since she's stepped away she'd been eating into her savings a bit. With a smile Sugar spoke. "Well, I at least know that I'm going to try to help water your dreams. Try to make Equestria happier one show at a time," she smiled. When she heard her say that she'd, no the unicorns would love for her to move there, her smile grew a bit warmer and nodded. That little slip didn't go unnoticed either, she decided to take it a step further and test the waters a bit. "Then it's settled, though it was already settled... Now that I think about it, I am going to need a place to stay once I get there, at least until I can find my own," she said while Gloomy and to taste the chili. With a smile and a nod, she gathered some in the spoon and held it out for her.
  18. ~~~Wind Dancer~~~ Wind Dancer wasn't sure if she should sigh in relief or get even more nervous when she saw Luna show up. On one hoof, she felt relief because she was here and had taken her place, but at the same time she was nervous because everything still felt almost too perfect right now. The returned Wave that Candy gave made her smile before she felt her mother pull her into a giant hug herself. "I know I don't need to tell you this... You already know exactly how your father and I feel, but I'm going to say it anyway. Windy, your father and I are so very proud of you. For never giving up, for never backing down, and for never taking never or impossible for an answer. You are the strongest and most powerful pony that I know, and you have more heart than just about everyone else here, my soon-to-be son-in-law, and his family excluded. You came back from a place that almost no pony can to get to where you are now, and you are a shining beacon of hope to everypony here. And not just the ones in the park, but all of those around it," she heard her mother say, watching as she pointed around. "You and Sky both are living proof that nothing is impossible, and the fact that so many, almost an entire city looks up to the two of you like that... to hear how they talk about you two around town, how you give them hope. How ponies here in Las Pegasus aren't afraid of the hospital anymore because of how much you help it here. And now, You've got your own family, and your own bundle of joy to care for... there's not enough words in the Ponish language that can describe how proud and how happy we are for you. You've deserved this kind of happiness for a while now, and now you've finally been able to achieve it," Wind heard her mother finish, watching her rub a tear from her eye. She withdrew and went to sit in the front row with the rest of the family while her father moved up as per tradition to walk her down the aisle once the music started. ~~~Golden Bit~~~ Golden smiled as she heard the mare talk about Wind Dancer. That was a very common thing for Windy todo around town was to bump into new ponies, sometimes literaly, and become instant friends and help show them around Las Pegasus. Golden Bit herself knew of at least four other times something like that had happened! It's just how Wind Dancer was. She didn't think herself too good or above helping others and showing them a good time even if it wasn't being at one of her own shows. She was content to making others happy, and somepony like that, was truly a one in a million type pony. She definitely deserved that other one in a million pony like Sky Sailing was to start a family with. In a city filled with so many fake and two-faced complexions in it, it was a relief to see the two truly genuine ponies strike gold. She also heard the mare talk about seeing her picture before and presumed that she was the boss of the hotel that she met Windy at. "I am the owner of the Mareage, yes, but I can assure you I am not Windy's boss. She may tell you that I am, but honestly... She is such an amazing and popular pony here, that she is her own boss without question. When Two ponies like Sky and Windy enter your life, you do everything you can to make sure they are happy. They more than deserve it," she said, noting Windy's little one who seemed to be reaching for the mare who introduced herself as Candy. "I am Golden Bit, and it seems this little one here is trying to get your attention," she said with a giggle, hearing the little filly try tospeak and say something that sounded almost like Candy's name ~~~Ice Storm~~~ Ice Storm let out a large sight of relief when Luna showed up. She was definitely cutting it a bit close, and she used her magic on her pearl to quickly relay that fact to HQ so they didn't have to rush to find a potential replacement anymore. She could see the family members making their final arrangements, as she herself returned the wave to the princess who was shown to the podium. She then continued to listened while Candy and Golden spoke. She wasn't surprised about anything that she had heard. These two were truly one of a kind gems. She was about to make her own statement before she was interrupted but the sounds of music starting to play. More specifically, those three specific notes started to play, And Wind Dancer and whom she presumed was her father was now standing in the aisle as the flower ponies started making their way forward.
  19. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar would nod when she heard Gloomy say that they seemed new to the tune of adventures. That inexperience was dangerous in any journey. "Yeah. We should probably look around and see if we can find somepony else that can help us. Maybe I can ask Sunny if she knows anypony that would be interested in helping out," she smiled. Sugar thought that the wind be okay if it were just the two of them as long as they stuck together, but at the same time it was that type of falsy confidence that got ponies into trouble, and no pony had any idea what was on the other side of the forest. It was entirely possible since of those places were still inhabited by others that had lost touch with the eastern world, and they could be the ones that were the outcasts and behind in the times. That was for future discovery though. "Whatever happens though on that front, I know I wanna do it together," Sugar added. Her smile widened, and she felt a sense of giddiness when she heard Gloomy accept her invitation to stay with her for a few nights! She could feel her own heart beating rapidly in her chest, and the pink on Gloomy's cheek was sending her heart a flutter. She wasn't sure why, but something just felt... Right, with her here. Like Gloomy was meant to be in this very room with her right now. She clapped hey hooves happily, and if her sparkle had been brought before, it could be blinding now. "Yay!! I'll try to make things as quick as possible! Mostly it's just getting my bits from the bank since I don't think Bridlewood has a 'First Trust of Maretime Bay' in it. Otherwise it's just letting a few friends know that I'm going away for a bit, and possibly moving depending on how things go. If there's more business for me in Bridlewood than here then there's little point in my staying here," she smiled, shaving the cinnamon down into the pot with the chilis. She periodically tasted it as she was going to make sure it wasn't getting too sweet.
  20. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar would smile and nod when she heard Gloomy almost questioningly acknowledging that she would be heading that way. Hearing her say that she would like that and the general body language that the unicorn was displaying made Sugar feel a bit tingly. Her smile grew even more when she actually got to watch Gloomy use her magic to catch the can of beans that started rolling away from them. Watching the can get grabbed in the purple glow was mesmerizing. She smiled and she took the can back, hearing Gloomy say that maybe it was for the best they got their magic back a little at a time so they learned to appreciate what they had. "I can see that, especially being without it for so long, like you said it would make so many every day tasks easier. But I still think an adventure to the western lands would be fun at some point, if not dangerous. I don't have any idea what might be beyond the Bridlewood Forest, and from what I heard from Sunny, it didn't exactly look to be the safest place to be caught unaware itself. If this was something we did, we might want it to be more than just the two of us. Maybe we could find a Pegasus to recruit. Have a pony that could fly and see further ahead would do wonders for us to be able to avoid dangers we'd stumble into otherwise," she says, successfully opening the beans this time. "Also... You... Wouldn't mind staying at my place for a few nights while I tied up some loose ends here... Would you? Then we could head back to Bridlewood together," she smiled.
  21. ~~~Aloe Blossom~~~ "I know right!?" Aloe replied as lotus made the comment about their parents not being down their necks for grandfoals anymore. Even with Aloe and Lotus begging as close and intimate as they were, they both knew that them trying anything like that was a bad idea. They were identical twins after all. That meant there genes were identical and any recessed traits that they might have had in them would be on complete and full display. That wouldn't bode well for a little one that they had together, as much as she loved the idea. "We already have three that came out as eggs," she added, night when Rose said that they were already planning a trip to see here. Lotus said that it was probably fit the best that they didn't, considering everything there was too do here now. There was no telling how far behind the spa would have gotten!! She heard Lotus toot her own horn a bit and couldn't help but giggle at the notion. She also said that everything except for the trip has been worth it. "I will definitely keep that in mind," Aloe said in response to using vacation packages rather than just going to some places because some of them were less than savory. "Well, I'm very happy you're home regardless. We should be ready to open soon. I just finished mixing the minerals for the baths, Rose got the towels folded. The steam room should be building up pressure, though we did have to replace some pipes not to long ago. They started leaking and we never noticed. Miss Applejack was the one who found the leak. The mud baths are just about up to temperature and should be ready to go by the time the first client is set for them. Most of them will be happy to hear that we'll be able to accommodate more massages to! Poor Bulk Biceps has been quite overworked recently and with the two of us in our conditions we can't give massages that would be up to the spa quality standard. So unfortunately some ponies were having to go without..." Aloe explained
  22. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar nodded as she watched Gloomy get up and start making her way over to the kitchen, presumably to start helping her with the Chili. She saw her give a bit of a pause and saw a couple tears in her eyes. She was about to ask her what was wrong until she looked down at the cutting board and saw what was left of the onion sitting on it. She then lifted the board over to the rubbish bin and scraped it off. "Well, if you think anypony over there in Bridlewood would have a need for a regular ol' modeling pony like me, then I would be happy to do so! As I said, I am looking for new work since I left Canterlogic. That and modeling somewhere other than Maretime Bay might be fun. Plus I'd be closer to you so you wouldn't have to come all the way to Maretime Bay just for us to have tea together," she said with a smile. She wanted to say among other things, but she didn't want to be that forward yet. She didn't want to scare the poor mare off. They may have already been quite flirtatious, but that didn't mean that she could make that kind of joke yet. When Sugar heard Gloomy say that while there were stories of great wizards that used to be, at the moment all the magic was very limited. It was basically just making things glow or moving things. That revelation made sugar feel kinda bad for the unicorns. The pegasi got their flight back and most of them seemed to have picked up where they left off. It seemed that the unicorns got the short end of the stick so to say. After being so excited she imagined that it had to be a bit of a let down, especially when Gloomy said it could be a while before they were back to their former strength. "Well, then I for one wanna help in any way that I can. Not that I'm sure how an earth pony can help a unicorn with magic, but if there's a will there's a way. Maybe we can have Sunny take us on one of her other adventures, or maybe we can go to Western Equestria, and see if there's anything over there. I heard from my grandparents that there used to be cities over there. Maybe one of them has something that will help!" Sugar smiled as she started mincing up the mustard leaves before putting them and the beans in the pot, or at least she was going to before the can slipped out of the opener and started rolling across the floor. "Hey! Get back here!"
  23. ~~~Wind Dancer~~~ No sooner did her mother speak the words, did they hear a knock at the exit of the gazebo. "Sorry to interrupt ladies, but it is time," Wind heard the usher say to them. She looked in the mirror one final time before following the usher to the staging area. At the moment, eveything seemed to be all too surreal and it felt like any moment Wind Dancer was going to wake up, and she'd be back in the hospital room and this would all would have just been a glorious pipe dream. That never happened though, and she could feel her heart thumping a million miles a minute hoping that today of all days, nothing went wrong. After she was set, she saw the same usher speaking with Candy. Good! She was able to make it! Her mother had been the one handling the invitations since she had been out of commission herself for most of this engagement. Having a little filly and becoming the second best momma ever took a lot out of a pony! As it was, she gave Candy a wave while she anxiously awaited the start of the ceremony. It was then that she saw everypony else too. While the ponies that were actually in the park were limited to friends and family, the fences outside where a different story. Celebrity weddings always attracted a crowd, especially when it was two celebrities getting married! This was no exception. Wind Dancer could see ponies filling the streets all around the park all trying to get a spot where they can see the ceremony. Seeing that it wouldn't surprise her in the slightest if the Flim-Flam brothers had found a way to monetize the event by selling space at the fences closest to the celebration. Thankfully though, she didn't see those two anywhere around. The usher meanwhile took a look at the cream colored mare wearing a black and orange dress that was quite fetching! Though the mare's mane looked more like something you would see on Nightmare night, it definitely fit the look, and the colors really popped on her. She introduced herself as Candy, and the usher couldn't help but definitely think of her as a piece of candy. When she asked if there was assigned seating, he shook his head. "No ma'am, we're just seating others as they get here. If you would like to go up and have a seat next to the golden pony with the rosy red mane. Others will be directed in as they arrive," he responded, hoofing her back the ticket. ~~~Golden Bit~~~ To be able to attend a high class celebrety is one thing. To know them personally and to have a hoof in making them what they were is another... but to have that same hoof in both ponies involved was quite a feat! Golden Bit couldn't really take the credit for helping Sky Sailing. The only thing she did was agree to let him have a show in one ofthe empty slots. Something that she would have done anyway, but Wind Dancer had been the one that pushed the issue and told her that she wouldn't regret it. Now, a couple years later, her best family of nocturnal superstars were both proud parents of a very beautiful little filly, and today was going to be the icing on top. She considered herself mighty lucky that she got to watch the rise of these two, and was forever happy that she was able to help Windy get back in the air. She shuddered to think what would have happened to the poor mare if she hadn't up to this point. Las Pegasus wasn't forgiving and a pegasus with a disability would be easy for others to take advantage of. She shook her head of those nasty thoughts though as she looked at some of the other guests that were arriving. She wasn't surprised to see Ice Storm here. Wind and Sky both were regular performers for her, Sky more often than Windy because she had more indoor venues than she did herself. But ever since she installed that massive lake for the golf course she built, she's been able to put on shows that would rival the Mareage! Well, of course it would rival them... Windy did both of the shows! She was pulled from her thoughts though as a creme colored mare with a Mane that looked... remarkably like candy corn was seated next to her. She'd seen this mare with Windy a few times in the past, but it had been a while since she'd seen her in town. Still, she wasn't surprised to see that she had gotten an invitiation. "Good morning my sweet! Come to join the festivities today?" she asked, more rhetorically than anything. She was in the park on a day that it was closed for a 'private' wedding. Pretty much all of Las Pegasus was surrounding the park, and that wasn't a surprise. Privacy doesn't really exist in this city. ~~~Ice Storm~~~ Ice Storm had known about this day for a while and was one of the hooves that was helping plan for the event. It was a combined effort on her part with Golden Bit to make sure that Wind Dancer and Sky got the permits required to host such an event in a public park without Flim and Flam getting their greedy hooves on it. They tried, but Icy and Golden basically told them to go buck themselves. Honestly, she wasn't sure why they were still allowed on the LP Council at this point. It's been painfully obvious that the only thing that they care for is profiting at the expense of others. Something that had put Flim and Flam on STAR's radar for sure after their latest Friendship U Embezzlement Scheme. She would have put more resources to it, but at this point everypony and their mother knew that those two were crooks. It was honestly a waste of time. She was just waiting for their next big mistake to deal with them in a more formal sense. Still, today was a day to be celebrated. In addition to making sure things went smoothly for the park, she also had reached out to Princess Luna to do the vows for the two performers. Even though Luna was retired, she was still certified to perform official marital rights. Ice Storm couldn't think of anypony better to perform the rights for two ponies that made their living in the night skies. She just hoped that the princess hadn't forgot. The Ceremony was starting soon, and Luna was nowhere to be found, and Ice was starting to get worried. Enough so that she'd already used her link pearl to have the STAR database start looking for anypony local that was certified for marriages in case of a no-show. Her thoughts were pulled back to the wedding when she heard Golden greet the new arrival. Oh! She recognized her from Nightmare Night! Now that was a night to remember! She politely waved while she let Golden speak.
  24. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Yeah... she wasn't sure what it was, but at this point there was a little voice inside of her that was practically screaming for the two of them to share a bed tonight. The slips that were starting to pop out were getting more and more saucy each time. She couldn't help but giggle a bit when she heard Gloomy say that her body was an open temple, and that all may come in... supplication? She couldn't say that she heard that word before, but given how things were going at the moment, she wasn't sure if she should ask what that word actually meant or not. With that, she just nodded and went to work. Hearing that this Alphabittle was looking for some brighter acts for the shop, Sugar smiled. She then blushed a bit more when she heard Gloomy say that just having her around would be and act in of itself and would entertain plenty of ponies. "Well, if Alphabittle has anything he'd like me to model, or wouldn't mind me modeling a few outfits from time to time," she smiled and started dicing the onions, careful to keep her hooves out of the way. A hospital visit because she stabbed herself wasn't on the agenda for the day. When she heard Gloomy's comments on the anti-mindreading cap, she paused for a moment. "Huh, I never thought about distractions doing something like that. I just know that it's heavy and uncomfortable, and I'm more than happy to not have to wear it anymore," she smiled, scooping the onions off the cutting board and into the pot. "So, you said that you couldn't read minds," Sugar said as she moved to the tofu. It needed to be cut just right. It would get too chewy if left too large, but would have a weird texture if too small. After years of trial and error, she felt like she had the right size. "But that has piqued my curiosity. What can unicorns do with their magic? I imagine the possibilities are limitless," she said.
  25. ~~~Sugar Moonlight~~~ Sugar smiled and couldn't help but giggle a bit at Gloomy's response to Sugar calling her sweet in return. The bashful look was so adorably cute on her. Sugar could just eat her up right there! Not literally though. She had no desire to turn a pony into food today, or ever for that matter. She was perfectly happy with the fruits and vegetables that were being grown in their farms with the occasional fish from the sea. Fish Tacos were quite yummy! As it was, she was going to need to start preparing the rest of the ingredients for the chili soon. When she heard Gloomy ask about some of the things that Canterlogic made, asking if there were any that might have been interesting. She said that Alphabittle was always looking for interesting things for his collection and right now unicorns in general were curious about the other races now. "Well, you could always take me," she said, playfully sticking her tongue out. "But as far as what they made... well. I do still have that helmet... Be right back!" she said, making her way back to her bedroom with... a bit more of a sway in her hips than before. She would disappear into the room and then come back out with the device that looked like a helmet... with a unicorn horn on it. "This was the helmet that I was telling you about. Canterlogic designed it thinking that Unicorns could read minds. This, in their words, was supposed to prevent that. Honestly... I'm not even sure how at this point. Without having magic itself, how were they expecting it to counteract magic? still, if you paint it up it could be made into something funny, or used for other means of enjoyment," she giggled. She would hand the device over before moving back over to the open kitchen and start setting everything out on her cutting board before she spoke up again. "Before I start mixing things in, is there anything here that you don't like or can't have? I have tomatoes, which are already cooking... as it's making the stock for the chili... but for everything else here, I have kidney beans, chili powder, a chili pepper, onion, cinnamon, and some mustard leaves. Usually the recipie calls for a bit of apple cider which is where the cinnamon usually comes from, but we didn't get a large harvest of apples in this year, or so I was told."
