  1. Hmm...I think it would be too hard to pick an absolute favorite, but it comes down to either Cillian Murphy or Robert Downey Jr.
  2. 2nd Iteration: http://www.mtgvault....x?DeckID=358448 I ended up completely removing the discard aspects of the deck, and added a few new cards. Ivory Tower is a great one drop artifact in this deck, as ideally I'll be gaining at least 3 life a turn with it. Slagstorm is a pretty great 3 CMC card that can cover this deck's inherent weakness to aggro.
  3. Well, here's the first iteration of a new budget deck concept I've been working on: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=358448 The idea is to overwhelm your opponent(s) with excessive drawing and discarding. Kederekt Parasite, the enchantments, Runeflare Trap, and Molten Psyche are the main win conditions, with Obstinate Familiar, Sangromancer, and the rest of the deck providing survivability and utility.
  4. My analysis took into consideration EVs and IVs. You're still only looking at a subpar 273 attack or special attack in a "best" case scenario, and even then you'd have to sacrifice Serprior's naturally high speed to get that high. Also, Pokerus doesn't mean your pokemon will have more EVs, it just means it gains them twice as fast. Effort Values are capped at 255/255 regardless. I hope I'm not coming across as snarky or anything of the sort. I'm all for everyone using what they ultimately love, as I myself have a few Pokemon near and dear to me. I just can't ignore the hard numbers having spent almost a decade milling around the competitive scene of Pokemon.
  5. Dun get me wrong...I love any kind of snake, Serperior included. It just isn't that useful when you look at its numbers and moveset. Serperior's best stat is its base 113 speed, but lacks the attack (75) and special attack (75) to make it an effective sweeper. It also doesn't help that it's offensive moveset is almost nonexistant. Energy Ball is Serperior's best bet for a STAB, and it doesn't even learn it on its own. Serperior does, however, have a respectable (but not spectacular) base 95 defense and special defense. It can make for some pretty good substitution play, or maybe even a dual screen waller...but overall gets outclassed even in its own generation. If you dun care about the numbers, you can use Serperior and play the game just fine with it. Serperior is asthetically awesome, and I love its design. All of its flaws, however, will become glaringly apparent as soon as you take it into PvP.
  6. My BW team consisted of... - Samurott: Easily the most useful of the 3 starters. While not as strong nor as diverse as Emboar, he is an amazing HM slave and a solid water type, both of which are uncommon in BW. Sorry Serperior...you, like every Generation's grass starter post Venusaur, are useless. - Stoutland: Generation V's Rattata...this one, however, is deceptivly useful. Stoutland is surprisingly bulky, can cover a wide range of types, and is well suited to combat BW's abundance of dark and psychic types you will encouter throughout your first playthrough. - Excadrill: Despite the fact I absolutely abhoar the way this Pokemon looks, he is easily the strongest and most frightening physical sweeper in the BW Pokedex, and has a nice ground/steel typing on top of that. - Lilligant: Slim pickings for grass types in BW, but highly useful to have one on your team. Lilligant shines above the others thanks largely in part to quiver dance. - Sigilyph: Again, I'm not fond of the asthetics of this Pokemon, but it serves as a solid psychic type, is obtainable fairly early, and can use fly. Really can't go wrong with this one. - Galvantula: Easily, easily my favorite pokemon from Generation V. High speed and special stats combined with compoundeyes and thunder makes Galvantula by and large the most frightening special sweeper from the BW Pokedex.
  7. Promos aside (They were awesome), I just want this game. Pokemon World Tournament? Do. Want. 57 gym leaders and Elite 4 members? Do. Want. Iris as Champion? Do. Want. This game. Do. Want.
  8. I almost forgot about this one, and let it be known that this is the only time I've ever cried over a cartoon. These feels... Q_Q RIP Mako
  9. So uh...I like to sing. Occasionally if I'm tired enough, or drunk enough, I get the crazy idea to record myself...and then it ends up on Youtube. But seriously, I love singing as a hobby. Please feel free to comment and critique. Pony Swag (Swagberg Ft. Maros) [Warning: Explicit Lyrics] Code Monkey (Jonathan Coulton)
  10. I believe it to be the combination of it being the summer, no new episodes until season 3, and the general slow decay of text based RPs in general. I wouldn't really worry too much about it though, things are sure to pick up again soon.
  11. Wow you weren't kidding when you said random, eh?
  12. Out of the dozen or so MTG decks I own, this is probably my favorite one thus far: http://www.mtgvault....x?DeckID=357867 The primary focus of the deck is to pump out tokens whilst establishing control over your opponent's actions. Sigil Captain is easily the most important card in the deck, as it turns those 1/1 tokens into 3/3s or greater. It combos well with Glen Elendra Archmage, allowing you to counter an unlimited amount of creatures so long as you have the mana. Sigil Captain also pairs well with the Thopter Foundry + Sword of the Meek combo, allowing you to pump out 3/3 Flying tokens for 1 mana each. Plaxcaster Frogling shroud your creatures, and the Oblivion Rings take care of any unforeseen threats. The rest of the cards in the deck are there to either boost token production or hinder your opponent.
  13. Honestly, I am not a fan of Gary Jules' version, having grown up listening to Tears for Fears. TFF's version really captures the essence of uncertainty. You can't help but feel as if something isn't quite right when listening to it, but that's what makes it amazing. Jules' version is much more bleak and melancholy. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good song. I just think it completely missed the intent established by Tears for Fears. Mad World > Sad World
  14. Most of the power lines near where I live are buried underground so we did not lose power at home, however we did lose it at work. Thankfully, we have backup generators to keep all of our vital systems online. Unfortunately, AC was not one of them. xD
  15. Growing up, there was one song in particular that helped me find my own identity, and defined who I am today. That song is "The Pass" by Rush. Enjoy.
  16. Unfortunately, I was driving to work right when the storm set in. It was by and large one of the most frightening driving experiences I've ever had the misfortune of being put through. High winds, near-blinding sheets of rain, falling / downed trees and powerlines everywhere, streetlights knocked out...never again please.
  17. My username was generated by XBL, and at the time I was too lazy to change it. Now I use it for almost everything. xD
  18. I'm not very philosophical or elegant when it comes to words, but I live my life according to my own expectations, and regret nothing. I'm not motivated to be the very best I can be, but would rather settle for a nice, average life.
  19. Riot's obsession with tanky DPS and overly simplistic champions drove me away from LoL. I invested two years into LoL and at this point I'm kinda sick of the game. I'll stick with DotA2 and HoN Midwars. x_x
  20. Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, and Trixie are my favorite antagonists thus far...I can't choose an absolute favorite at this point, but I would personally love to see more of Trixie in the future.
  21. The strangest food I have ever consumed would have to be soondae. It's a Korean blood sausage made from cow or pig intestines. Now, I will try anything once, but soondae...never again. I do not like the way it looks, smells, or tastes. x_x
  22. One issue I have with Diablo 3 is that the game is full of redundancies. What is the point of grey/white when they will NEVER be upgrades, and they aren't even worth picking up to sell? If you can use a town portal at any time and then warp right back into the dungeon to pick up where you left off, why even bother with a limited inventory space? If you can identify yellow items at any time outside of combat just by right clicking on them...why do they even need to be identified then? Redundancies aside, I disliked the lack of single player / LAN support. However, by far my biggest gripe with Diablo 3 was the horrible writing. Without spoiling anything, your character, regardless of which class you choose, has absolutely no influence on the plot at all. You exist in a world that progresses the plot forward with zero input from your character. The Witch Doctor's story literally amounts to "The Lords of Hell are bad so I will follow these people around and kill them." Also, and here come the spoilers... However, Blizzard did do a lot right with Diablo 3. The atmosphere is great, the controls are tight, and the visuals are beautiful. Being able to change up your skills and runes on the fly works well as a whole, and adds a shallow layer of strategy to how you choose to approach combat. Overall, my experience was "meh". Granted, I am not much of a fan of the dungeon crawler genre. I stopped playing after finishing the game on normal, but all of my friends who love dungeon crawlers, and the Diablo franchise have expressed their frustration with Blizzard's over-the-top nightmare difficulty. Take it for what it's worth. I didn't love Diablo 3, I didn't hate Diablo 3. I simply played it with no expectations.
