Everytime I look on the news and read about some chemical that poisons the enviroment, or a species going extinct, I sometimes wonder if it is responsbile to even have children. To me I think its a cruel thing to bring a child into a world that will be completely devoid of any beauty in it.

Shadow, I think you need to spend more time enjoying the outdoors, and less time listening to the people who are paid to horrify you with the bad half of the news.

Yeah, probably. And not just this status. But the root problems are: 1) I can be a jerk, 2) there is no 'edit' feature on status entries, 3) our media paints a negative picture of the outlook even though the world is getting better.
