The only tip I can give is to make sure you bow out the feathers, don't make them straight lines/curves. If that makes sense.

I'll say this much. Its not easy drawing them. A pony body is easy, but the griffons got a cat and bird. Drawing those two parts to make them at least pleasing to the eye is difficult T_T. Still im not going for perfection, just pleasing enough to the eye and decent is enough.

actually griffons are part lion part eagle........ just saying.

i'd say just plain look it up. that's what i do when i want to draw something
