  1. I don't know how you feel about it, but you were female in your last earthly incarnation. You were born somewhere in the territory of modern South of Latin America around the year 1175. Your profession was that of a dancer, singer or actor. Well, that was short. Besides that, I've always been slightly proud of my internet androgyny, for whatever reason, and I love to sing and act. Dancing, not so much. I'm not sure how I feel about being Latin-American, as my entire family is either Hungarian or Montreal, dating back to Poland and Romania at most. Really pretty boring.
  2. Good day old chaps! This is an idea that spawned over hundreds of failures of intelligent debates with schoolmates. The idea is that we will have a Skype debate tournament, and the winning two (call them the master-debators and I will harm you in more ways than one) will have a massive debate over the ultimate question of the bronydom. There may or may not be teams in earlier rounds. Profanity, also, may or may not be allowed for emphasis, not insult. Two questions for all those interested: 1. What is your Skype? Mine is on my profile page, just let me know it's you. 2. Would you prefer to debate over text or voice? I'm not very in the mood to write a whole plan down right now, but it'll develop as people join in. Cheers, ~ping111
  3. Where did that last line come from?? Perhaps I haven't refreshed in a while. And admittedly, it's also a bit of Swirlbait, because I just want to see Star scramble through his files trying to debunk me. Also, don't watch Doctor Who and Dexter in the same night. You will think you are an unending well of undeniable genius, when really you are a blibbering sack of Scandinavian drivel.
  4. Wait wait wait! Theory about the "100 moons thing"! Because the Equestrian moon has the same gravitational effect on the tides as does the Earth moon, we can figure they must be identical or equal in their distance/mass ratio. However! The moon is very clearly much larger in the Equestrian sky, even without apparent distance (the moon appearing larger because other things seem smaller in the distance). Therefore, there are only two options. 1. The moon is larger, and the Earth smaller by comparison, or 2. The moon is much smaller, but closer to the Earth. The first option is plausible because the EQ moon shows no signs of parallax (spiralling around in the night sky over the course of a year), so we can assume that one side of Equestria always faces the moon, and one side of the Moon (the one with NMM's face) to always face the earth This is known as a double tidal lock, and causes for Hurricane Fluttershy to be plausible, because the oceans would always be in high tide in the area, and this it would be possible to swell it all up. However, when a moon enters double tidal lock with its parent, that's usually not good news, as they are both mutually pulling on each other's angular rotation, which is one of the main forces that keeps the earth spiralling around the sun. This means that in a few hundred thousand million years... EQUESTRIA'S END IS NEIGH!!! As for the second option, that is certainly possible, but that means that the moon would be much, much brighter than it is on earth (as it appears to be in the show), but also that moonlight would be slightly hazardous for your skin, as the sun is (the lack of atmosphere and the lustrousness of the lunar regolith allows very radioactive light to shine off of the moon). And thusly, Princess Luna would have come back looking like a bleached Half-life zombie! So, I repeat: EQUESTRIA'S END IS NEIGH!!! Oh yeah, these two theories would also affect the lengths of the month, so each reunion may be closer or further apart than 8 years. That's also kind of important.
  5. Fact of the day: Today is the Festivus, the holiday in which participants sit round an aluminum pole and discuss all of the people who have disappointed them in the past year.

  6. Frankly darling, you shouldn't give a dam. (XD)If anyone manages to get Shakespeare, Dickens, or any other historic writer, I'll be shocked.
  7. Fact of the day: INFJ (Introverted/iNtuitive/Feeling/Judging) is the rarest iteration of the MBTI-Jung Personality Scale. Its polar opposite is ESJP (Extroverted/Sensing/Judging/Percieving).

  8. Credit to I Like Lobsters of the MLP Forums for the drawing in my new avatar! (Yes, the Cutie Mark is wrong - I always just preferred a simple Maple leaf.)

  9. H.P. Lovecraft on my longest fic, an RP post featuring Maple, but James Joyce on an actual FimFic. Truth be told, the fic was only half in English, because there was quite a bit of French in it. EDIT: @OP: "Show me like whom you write!"
  10. Hi there! Good to see an open request thread! I was wondering if you'd be able to revise a banner I've made? It's very shoddy and pixelly, but maybe you'd be able to take the basic concept behind it and fix it? I won't mind if you say 'no', though. Here it is: Thanks, and I await your reply! ~ping111
  11. Hey! French Canada's awesome! Smoked meat poutine wif' maple sizzurp all up in yo' grill!
  12. Newton's ball cradle in picture BALLS GREAT BALLS OF FIRE FIRE UNUSUAL FLAME EFFECT HUO LONG'S HEATMAKER???
  13. FALSE: You claimed your name was French, in which case, "de" is pronounced "du" as in "dud". Link, if you've seen any past episodes with myself in it, you'll know that having a high voice is OK! Together in squeaks? XD
  14. T'was an example, my child. Don't worry, just for a day. It's solely for the "DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY: 24 HOURS REMAIN" meme.
  15. “From the calm morning, the end will comeWhen of the dancing horse the number of circles will be 9.” That? BS. Besides, Nostradamus only wrote prophecies in lines of four. Count the lines here, bucko.
  16. Robe and slippers? Check! Fireplace? Check! Newspaper? Check! Expensive, purring cat? Check! Top hat, monocle, pipe? Check! Paper moustache? Check! Turkish apple tea? Check! ... Vuvuzela? Check! Makeshift firecracker? Check! No neighbours? ...They're old, good enough! My checklist for 11:45 PM, 12/20/12, AKA tomorrow. I've been looking into all the dumb theories for this crop, and all of the reasoning too. Turns out, I fell for it when I thought the Mayans used the Aztec sunstone, and that it was just too darn big!
  17. <<I'm really starting to like you~ (Yes it's a pancake but waffles are just pancakes with maple syrup traps!) With all that aside, welcome to Canterlot! I'm sure you'll find yourself comfortable wherever you travel around this beautiful community!
  18. That sounds so terrible. I really wish you well from the bottom of my heart. Just hold out a little longer - I've dispatched an invisible squad of huggers to give you a comforting, warm feeling inside. Just hope for the best, and never let your beloved leave your heart!
  19. I'm technically Aries, but that describes me the least. However, I once heard that there was some sort of "shift", and I'm half a Pisces. I guess that fits me better, but I wish I was Leo. My brother's Gemini, but he's pathologically shy
  20. All of your classes. In French class, sure, you learned some French words, but now you'll always know how to conjugate -er and -ir verbs. That is now your French instinct, so that as long as you know one form of a verb, you suddenly know all of them.
  21. Because you thought this thread was gone! But I brought it back to life with its own purpose! Because otherwise you cannot contribute to society, because you don't even have basic intuition or instinct. Release one. Just one. If everyone knew I had 100 balloons, and there was only 99, they'd expect them all to fly up.But just one. Also, Zuftballons.
